Media Player fades out between tracks

The Tour Media player seems to fade out the audio between tracks on a CD.  This is kind of annoying as some CD's intentially run one track into the next.  Is there a way to change this behavior?

Sorry, i didn't see your post and I just posted the sme issue, it is really annoying, so much so that I am considering returning my Blackberry, I thrive on the MP3 use and this is not acceptable. try as i might I cannot find a Phon e Number to call RIM tech support, so thier not alowing me contact is going to lead to the loss of a sale on this phone and any future phones that I might have purchased from them.

  • Best way to fade out multiple tracks at the same level

Is there a best way to fade out multiple tracks at the end of a song? I have read the manual and understand fading "A" track, but not if my song is ending and I want to fade out all tracks equally.
I thought I could export the file as a wav or MP3 (like I would do if I was fading out an Apple loop), then bring it back in and fade the track I import it to, but wanted to know if anyone else had any tips or tricks they use.
    Thanks

  • Fade out sound track in Keynote...how?

I am taking keynote presentations and exporting them to quicktime...everything works as expected. The only issue is the sound track. It simply abrupty ends at the end of the keynote/quicktime movie. Is there a way to fade it out (i.e. take the volume to zero?)?
I am currently loading the quicktime movie into iMovie and doing that, but it is very cumbersome. Would be much better to do it in Keynote.
    Thanks
    bob

No audio controls as such just what's in the QT inspector. Rather than doing it in imovie post, you could fade it in Garageband or other audio app pre-Keynote construction.
    Good build suggestion though:

  • Looking for music player -no gap between tracks

I listen to a lot of live shows.  It would be great to hear the tracks without gaps between the tracks.  On the default music player for the Pre there is a gap between each track.  I'd like to play the shows without gaps.  Is there a music player that I can use that plays MP3 tracks continuously without gaps?  Thanks!
Post relates to: Pre Plus p101vzw (Verizon)

Hi did you ever get this resolved??? I'm trying to research how to get rid of the gaps and/or what app I should download

  • Can you fade in/out a track at the beginnig/end

I've seen how to fade out the menu before the track starts. Is it possible to fade out a track (audio and video) There's a funny end to a programme that could be solved simply by dipping to black a little early.
    Thanks

No, you have to do that in your video editing program (FCP), before you export it out to Compressor and then bring into DVD SP.

  • Windows Media Player Bug - Sort Of

To make a long story short, I could not figure out why my external hard drives were thrashing each time I played a video file from one on my external drives. This would last about five or six minutes each time I played a new file. As my computer is setup
to multi-boot, I soon discovered this problem was only happening in Windows 10. Checking it out further, I discovered Windows Media Player is the culprit. As it turns out, Windows Media Player automatically goes out and syncs external drives and
devices whenever the program starts-up. Unfortunately, this happens each and every single time on program start. As I have lots of audio and video files on my drives, it would take a fair bit of time for Windows Media Player to check all my files to see what
needed to be synced. I did find another article about this on another thread:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/4c6edb49-f335-44e1-9339-9d86ae0dea25/windows-media-player-auto-sync-to-external-storage
There is a procedure in there that tells you how to disable the automatic sync, but it did not seem to work for me under Windows 10.
What is needed is an easy way to disable the automatic sync.

I've found a procedure on another forum that works to disable the sync. You either have to remember to stop the service or reboot your computer before the changes can take effect.
Currently, we may still use the workaround to disable sync settings.
Meanwhile, Media player cannot differentiate between a media player and any other portable device so the only viable method I have found to deal with this issue is to disable the auto sync
    entirely.
This will also stop Win7 from auto-syncing images and everything else but you will still be able to manually transfer files to and from your media players and cameras and no important Win7
    function is impaired.
Click Start and then Run... (Or the shortcut is Windows key + R).
    Type "Services.msc" and press Enter.
Scroll down to "Portable Device Enumerator Service".
Double click and change "Startup Type" to "Disabled".
To return your system to normal simply change "Startup Type" back to "Automatic".

  • How do you get menu info to be recognized by media player?

There are some users with windows media player checking out a DVD I am authoring in Studio Pro. They prefer to use the "list pane" to navigative the DVD. It correctly shows the right number of titles and chapters, but none of the information I put in Studio Pro naming the titles and chapters is recognized. The PC sees the correct name in the DVD drive, but the media player doesn't display the info. Is there way to get the player to see all the named titles and chapters? Is there something I need to do in Studio Pro to make it happen or is nothing possible?

The names you give menus and tracks in DVDSP or any authoring software won't translate over to a disc. Naming these attributes is only a guide in helping you author.

  • Embed a media player in netbeans IDE

    Hi guys!
I'm pretty new to development in Java, right now I'm using netbeans as the IDE to development a P2P file sharing program for my school project. One of the module is to embed a media player that can playback the media files shared by the program. My group choosed to use VLC. The targeted machine to run is on a Windows XP. If the program can compile and run on Linux, that would be a plus.
Now, having searched the web on how to embed a player, I am utterly confused and lost.. Can anyone suggest some tutorials on how to embed a media player, or even an alternate player that's easily implementable in netbeans?
    JJ

When you click on the play video buttons, the rest of the page turns cloudy and the media player pops out.
Modal window, Highslide, Lightbox, Floatbox, Litebox, Colorbox...  There are about a hundred different versions of the same thing.
Also what movies files can I play??
    Andy,
That depends on your target audience.  If you need to support laptops/desktops and smartphones -- Droid, Berries, iPhone, iPads, etc... may may need to offer visitors more than one flavor to choose from.

  • Why can't iTunes find album art when it is showing in Media Player?

I am new to iTunes, having previously used windows media player. What a disappointment.  The sooner Apple get back to being a niche plyer the better. In Windows media player, every one of my albums has the artwork on it. Import to iTunes the crock of **** can't find the artwork for 71 albums. Not just a handful, 71!!!
I had heard that iTunes doesn't like compilation albums from a friend, several years ago.  No problem in media payer  - but in the bag of **** that is iTunes, my compilation albums (shop bought CDs) are listed as separate albums i.e I have 20 albums all called "the best of New Wave"!!!
Finally before I sell my iPod back on to Ebay, I tried to import my MP3s to the Touch. Not enough room (I knew that) so opted to select which Albums I wanted. Now I have 250 albums, so do you think some overpaid ******* in Apple might have thought that folk would like to "select all" and then de-select the albums they didn't want? No...let's make it really irritating and get people to MANUALLY select each album, one by Fxxxing one. This really is the dark ages.
Finally, for some reason, some of my albums (again perfectly intact in Media Player) have been split into two. In Media Player you can drag tracks from one album onto another to create the whole album.  Is this possible in iTunes? You know what, don't even bother answering, because I'm done with iTunes.

  • Fade out and in

Sorry, I know this is basic stuff. I have learned to fade out individual tracks, but not the entire song. Help, please?

Usually song fade outs are made while mastering but if you really need to then open the mixer, enable automation and make a manual fade out.

  • How to get rid of duplicate files in Windows Media Player 11, I am seeking an answer if at all possible.

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum to ask this question....if it is not please guide me to the correct support forum. I am just trying to find out if there is an easier way of getting rid of duplicate files in my Windows Media Player 11.
Also how do I prevent my Media player from obtaining all these duplicate files from other libraries.  I have iTunes installed and my home network has four other computers belonging in the home group that have all their own respective music libraries.
I guess I was naïve but I thought that when Windows Media Player is out searching other libraries it would know not to take duplicates of songs that it has already.  Enough said .....if anyone out there can help me that would be great.  I have in
the past spent many hours manually deleting songs from my music files and it really got old.

  • Windows Media player issues on a Pavillion dv6

My windows media player is acting odd. I was ripping a CD and the media player rips all the tracks but the first one. Then it says my media player is no longer responding. When I shut down the computer for the first time as it powered back up It displayed a message about a malfunctioning fan. The message hasn't been displayed again after rebooting and trying to recreate this issue. I just purchased this computer in February from Wal-Mart and my warranty is still valid until next February.

    Hi,
Assuming you are running a version of Windows 7, it may be worth trying to reset Windows Media Player as follows.
Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off', open up Media Features and untick Windows Media Player.  Click Yes then OK and then restart the notebook.
When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off', open up Media Features and tick Windows Media Player.  Click Yes then OK and when WMP has finished installing, restart the notebook again.

  • Firmware 2.11.01 unbelievably slow using Mediasource & Windows Media Player (Zen Tou

I have just updated my firmware to version 2..0. and creative mediasource to the latest with the playsforsure plugin, and now it takes ten minutes for mediasource or windows media player to show what tracks I have on my creative zen. This is a lot slower than before as it usually did this instantly. I have 8936MB left of memory left on my Zen Touch and I have 3230 tracks. Can someone please suggest how I solve this problem and how to speed the two programs up.

I think the error showing on Microsoft WMP/Beta 2 means that you need to install the newest Creative PlaysforSure firmware update on the Xtra, for it to work correctly.
I won't update to the PlaysforSure, as I use my Xtra to store audiobooks from NetLibrary and Overdri've. Without PlaysforSure, the audiobooks don't expire. I can read them at my leisure.
The Real Player works great with the Xtra without the PlaysforSure firmware. (www.real.com for a free Real player)

  • PE 13: What is the best way to cut out an unwanted segment and leave a fade-out/fade-in overlap?  Without multi-track overlaps?

I have a long video segment and want to remove unwanted segments and replace them with fade-in/fade-out transitions.  I know that I can do this between two separate video tracks by fading out Video 1 and fading in Video 2 and having the two tracks overlap during the transition.  Is there an easy way to do this on the same track?  The way I've done this before is to cut out the unwanted segment, then move the two segments to separate tracks and overlap them.
To compound the problem, I have a separate audio track for the wireless microphone I'm wearing. I need to pull that into the fade transitions.  So that's Video 1 and Audio 1 with Narration, all cut at the same time with overlapping fade-out/fade-in in the fewest steps.  Can Premiere Elements 13 handle that?

    billsbayou
Add On...I am weighing the merits of applying an audio transition directly below the video transition. Considering Crossfade's  Constant Gain or Constant Power with a forced alignment of Between Clips. According to Adobe documentation
Adobe Premiere Elements Help | Applying transitions to clips
Adobe Premiere Elements includes two audio transitions in the Crossfade category: Constant Power and Constant Gain. Though both provide fades, they differ slightly. Constant Power creates a smoother-sounding fade, while Constant Gain, though mathematically linear, often sounds abrupt.
