Media to Grid
I opened up the toggle film strip to sort some photos and want to get back to the grid. I closed the film strip but can't get back to the grid to open other albums.The All media sign is up in the left corner and on the screen it says no media to be displayed. What did I do wrong as it won't let me open any albums. This is PSE 13 and I am on a Mac OS.
When I click on the all media button it still comes up no media to be displayed and now under that it says try changing settings i9n the view menu. It will not get back to the grid and I can't open any of my albums. I have had more problems with PSE 13 than all the other PSE 3,6,9,11 combined.

Moving PSE 10 organizer to PSE 11 organizer
I have been using PSE since PSE 7-I purchased 7, 10, and 11. I am seriously looking for a better organizer solution.
My two catalogs worked fantastically well in the PSE 10 organizer - one click and just what I was looking for popped up. Not now! I am SOOOO done!
I repaired and optimized in PSE 10 - multiple times and still both catalogs (one with photos and one with digital scrapbooking supplies) refuse to convert properly. The photo catalog did not convert many of my pictures and many are no longer tagged, along with missing tags. The scrapbook catalog converted the Alaphabet folder and that's it and again, missing tags.
Searching the boards has been useless!
Any sane help would be greatly appreciated.

You can double click an image to view it in Single Image View and use keyboard arrow keys to navigate left/right/up/down. Also double clicking an image which is fully zoomed out takes you back to previous zoom-in state where all thumbnails were visible.
You may also try other views to arrange you media in grid - Thumbnails, Import Batch, Date View, Folder Location. These are available in 'Display' dropdown present on the top right corner of the application.

Moving To Specific Photos In PSE 10 Organizer
When I am in PSE 10 Organizer looking at a particular photo and I want to look for and access another photo I scroll into a view that has a number of photos visible at one time on my screen. I double click on the next photo I want to deal with and voila! It takes me back to the previous photo I was working on. I then try the same process over again and the second time it usually works. Why is this? Is there a bug in the program? Is there are way of accessing a fix. It is very annoying.

Media query issues in fluid grid layout (take a look at this code)
how to make adjustments in specific device views without screwing everything up in other views. I know in the css designer when I click global it makes changes to all views which is great. But when I click one of the little icons at the button of the screen (like the smartphone icon or tabet etc) the changes I make in the view dont stay in that view but affect all views. So I'm coming to understand ( maybe wrongly) that those icon have no design power other than to show you what thing look like in that view. I'm starting to focus on clicking the stlye sheet dreamweaver cc created (not the boilerplate one) clicking the media query for the screen size I want to adjust and finding the selector I want to tweek (ITS RIGHT HERE THE HICKUP I'M HAVING IS AT - i CANT ADJUST IMAGES THAT I HAVE SPECIFICALLY IN THE CORRESPONDING VIEW WITHOUT SCREWING EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE UP IN THE OTHER VIEWS) Can anybody invision what I'm trying to do and what happening and give me a fix????
Idealy I would like to simply click the view icon of the screen size I want to tweak and drag handle bars to resize images and the adjustment stay only in that sceen size range, but this is not happening. This why I say that those (may wrongly I might be doing something wrong) icons have no design power other than to give you a view of things. That's so they can re-scale to fit the various layouts. If you need to assign explicit height & width values to certain elements, you can override that CSS rule by using the height & width attributes in your HTML code like this.

Hourglass thumbnails in media grid
I upgraded from pse 9 to 12. In my media grid the thumbnails are rendered as Hourglass. Is ther a setting or upgrade that can resolve this display issue? I do not have this issue in pse 9
First try selecting some hourglass thumbnails and pressing F5. If that works, try selecting all the missing thumbs and doing the same.

DW CC - Fluid grid & media query questions
Hi.
I'm delving into the fluid grid section in DW CC as I'd like to target most screen sizes. Just a couple of questions:
1) Is it possible to create a template (designed for mobile, tablet, desktop) and reuse it for other projects? If so, are there any tuts out there that provides guidance?
2) Important - Whilst I'm creating the layouts in fluid grid & using mobile queries, I'm having a hard time targeting the css for a particular screen size.
For example, In both mobile & tablet I'll float an image to the left, but float right in desktop. So under @Media I'll select desktop (min-width: 769px) and then float right said img. But when I check the other screen sizes, the float right has been used globally. I usually have to manually input the css myself to make it work. Am I missing something?

Fine. I've been using templates for over ten years through all the iterations andincarnations of DW since before MX. Now with CC and FGlayout, after I get everything working and I "SaveAs Template, all the editablility of the template goes away and even the Template Editable regions do not work. What am I doing wrong?
Also I tried creating the FGlayout in a blank template, which logically should work, but the same things happen. It's almost as if it were engineered that way on purpose. LOL What gives?

Fluid grid with added media queries not working with {display: none}
Fluid grid layout using added media queries to fix break points will not use {display:none} properly. When I try to hide a div in moble view it hides the div in all views. I was able to hide the div using width: 0% which works in all browsers except for Safari.

I am getting more comfortable with the DW CC Fluid Grid Layout. I really like it! I just am a bit confused with the media queries. It, by default has two. One set for min-width 481px and one set for 769px. That seems fine to me. I noticed though, when you come down to the icons of smartphone, tablet, and desktop. I click smartphone first and notice that it is set to smart phone 480px, so it will not display min-width 481px and when I click the 481px media query to begin work, I naturally will click the smart phone icon again and it displays 480, not showing me my completed work because it is not reaching the min-width of 481. Same thing occurs with the 768px.
Should I change the media queries to 480px and 769px? Or should I change the icon sizes to match the media queries. Just a bit off that it is one pixel larger than the default icons.
Thanks.FGL is a mobile first framework. Everything that you place in the general section of the stylesheet will apply to all screen sizes ranging from mobile through to large screens.
If you want to change the look of the page in larger than mobile phone screens, you start using media queries. In FGL, the first larger screen size takes effect at a minimum width of 481px (tablets), the next takes effect at a minimum width of 769px (desktops). This is exactly what the icons depict, hence no adjustment is required. -
DW CC Fluid grid transparent text panels over media content?

Mobile media query adjustments effecting desktop - Fluid Grid Layouts
Why do css changes in mobile media queries cascade through to the desktop view, and where is the freakin manual for all this stuff? I still can't get my head around why anyone would want this. Mobile is the least of my concern, as it's less than 12% of my traffic. Desktop first! Any help?

I have spent countless hours working directly with Adobe and many others in an effort to help answer some of these FGL Dreamweaver questions,a and maybe help create some useful workarounds. Nancy has helped me with several things successfully in the distant and recent past and I do appreciate her efforts. I think I said that.

Second, where were you when this question was asked previously? (and not only by me) Now all of the sudden, you chime in with more redundant information.
Third, this topic is widely discussed everywhere and is often frequent frustration by many skilled designers and developers. Why are we doing this?
Fourth, if a clients mobile traffic is less than 15-20%, mobile is not my focus, but responsive is. And Dreamweaver is our tool.
With that said, I don't prefer that mobile media queries override my desktop media queries. But I do respect the mobile user experience.
We survey all of our customers. So far, about half of them have said that they prefer the desktop site on their mobile devices, and hate most mobile sites, and get angry when there's not option to view the desktop site. We are currently working on a switch for this. So there goes 50% of those "user experiences" Another large percentage doesn't care. And a select few do. But I think it depends on the site. If it's your bank, you want mobile. If it's a wedding planner, a desktop will win out. These are real numbers. Not some Hype.
Im not understanding how mobile media queries overriding desktop is useful when using Dreamweaver/html5boilerplate for a simple responsive design. (unless there's something am missing) We have used the program for over 10 years now, and will continue to use all Adobe's products and realize it's work in progress.
Would you please post some of your web work. Maybe I can learn the answers from you. Or a portfolio.

Default screen sizes for fuid grid & media query
Is there a way to change the default sizes in the fluid grid dialog for new pages. I would like to start with a 320px mobile size not 480. (since there are hardly any devices that are 480 as far as I can tell. Changing the tablet size would also be useful.
If you're talking about the preview screens in DW, click on the values and select or edit new ones. See screenshots.

Can't drag photos from Media Inspector/Iphoto onto photo grid page
Each time I try to drag the picture pops back into iphoto list
You may have an issue with your iPhoto Library.
To test:
1.) Hold down the option key
2.) Launch iPhoto while still holding option
3.) Click on create new
4.) Save a new library
5.) Go to File > Import to Library and import a few pictures from Macintosh HD > Library > Desktop Pictures
__Try dragging a picture in iWeb now
If it works then your iPhoto Library is damaged.
1.) Hold down the option key
2.) Launch iPhoto while still holding option
3.) Choose your original iPhoto Library
4.) Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2638 to rebuild your library. Check off the bottom 3 options and rebuild. Then try iWeb again.

Asmca hangs during grid installation on windows server 2008 r2 x64
Hi all,
searched the web, but did not found a solution to this right now.
The Grid Infrastructure installation (11.2.0.2) hangs every time i tried the installation (Basic, Advanced) on a two node configuration. Had the same issue with 11.2.0.1.
Environment:
- W2K8 Server EE x64, all patches installed
- FC Storage attached
- UAC disabled
- Firewall diabled
- Prereqs implemented as recommended by RAC Assurance Team
- Using Domain-User (Member of the local Administrator Group) for installation
- Public-IPs and SCAN-IPs in DNS has been configured
- GNS and IMPI not used
Used diskpart to create extended partition and logical partition as described in the manuals. Stamped GRID-disk using asmtoolg.
Whatever I tried, asmca seems to hang while creating the diskgroup for OCR/Voting ...
... maybe someone out there has an idea what may cause this?

I am using iTunes 10.5 on Windows 7 (64bit). This has only started happening since the 10.5 update. When I add mp3s to "Add to iTunes" folder, the mp3s will be added to a folder within the iTunes Media\Music\ directory, but the song will not show up in my iTunes library. If I open the mp3 from its location in the directory, it will open in iTunes and be included in the Library go forward. This issue is not consistent, it has happened the first time I tried to add an mp3, and not the second that I tried to add the exact same file. Oh also, I have always had the option selected to allow iTunes to keep the media folder organized.
For the time being I have to keep a list of everything I am adding and verify whether it shows up in the library. If it doesn't I have to run a search to see what exact directory path iTunes put it in, go there and open the file - frustrating and time consuming. Even more frustrating to me however is that I really don;t know if I have recovered all the added mp3s from before I recognized the problem.
Any ideas? I was wondering if there maybe was a way to have iTunes refresh its library from the folder?Back up all data immediately as your boot drive may be failing.

How Can I Build a Checkerboard Grid?
I'm new and old to web design. I did a few sites at one time using DW, but ended at about the inception of CSS. I have a few ideas for a site that I'm about to put together, but unsure of what can be done since I've been out of touch.
For my home page, I'd like to know if it's possible to build a checkerboard style grid (for images) and have those images change, so that each time a visitor comes to the site the grid has mostly, if not all, different images. If a few are the same I'd like those to be in a new location in the grid. I'd also not want to have repeated images within the same current grid, in-other-words not multiple spots of the grid being used by the same image. So random images in random spots in the grid. These images would also need to be linked to their appropriate page. So for example, a daisy image would take you to the daisy page.
I'd like the grid to be a minimum of 25 images when viewed on a monitor, but less of course being responsive on a mobile phone or tablet at that point a straight column of even 5 would be fine.
Is it possible to have this page allow for more images if the browser is stretched out, maybe 50 images?
Since I don't have a clue these days I'm up for any suggestions/solutions as far as what I'm attempting to accomplish.
What tools/products or instruction would I need to make this happen?
