MediaCore Importer Process Debug Event
I have a Xp 64bit computer running CS4. I keep on getting MediaCore Importer Process Debug Event Errors on differnt projects. The error details are sometimes different but usually they say. Src/importer/ImporterInstance.cpp.-641
I have scanned for viruses
I have repaired windows
I have repaired premier
I have deleted and reinstalled premier
I have updated the drivers on my video card
I have looked around here and haven't found much for help. It might be a specific file given me problems but I have not tracked it down yet. It might be a codec problem. I am running out of ideas
My computer was working fine until 2-3 weeks ago. No changes except for maybe a CS4 update. Scanned for viruses nothing but a few cookies.
Supermicro board
dual 2.6 ghz intel quad xeons
8 gigs of Wintec Ram
Nvidia Quadro (dual monitor)
Alesis audio card
Adaptec raid controller
Seagate hard drives (about 2 tb raid 10)
Pannasonic DVCpro Deck (firewire)
Windows XP 64 (just repaired - trying to fix problems)
It is connected to a Cisco Switch for file sharing.
Updated CS4 PP
Most video footage is from gyhd100u but we get footage and video from many sources
I am looking for a post from someone who has had this problem, fixed this problem, or has some insight to what a MediaCore Importer Process Debug Event means.
I have been using Adobe Products for over 10 years and I am very computer savy. Even if you are looking to fix the same problem send me some info and maybe I can narrow it down and fix it for both of us.
Right now I think it might be my video card. When I repaired windows I upgraded the drivers on it now I have even more problems. I am rolling them back right now. If that doesn't work I will rollback premier

Media Core Importer Process / ImporterProcessServer.exe crash
The project that I'm working on is standard def but it is an hour and half long. Its a training DVD with 12 modules totalling 100 minutes. I have had a problem that has been getting continually worse. Today I hit the brick wall and can't seem recover. When I launch Premiere and try to play the timeline it freezes. Up pops 'MediaCore Importer Process' followed by 'ImporterProcessServer.exe' error. The system totally locks up and I have to go to the task manager to exit the software and totally reboot the system. Other forums have told me it is an issue with the AVCHD playback not optimized.
Other projects of smaller size seem to be fine. I have thought of trying to split the project to reduce its size by creating a new project, importing the one that crashes and hoping I can delete half the timelines (modules) to see if this will solve the problem. A lot of the elements such as animations, titles, transitional effects, interludes, SFX are reused as common themes in all modules.
What can I do to solve this problem? Any solutions out there? As usual, I'm on a tight deadline.
Thanks, ChristineMaybe this will help. It worked for me.
I was having the "ImporterProcessServer" error message come up. First, read the error message that comes up when "ImporterProcessServer" stops and make sure it is says this:
Fault Module Name: IPPMPEGDecoder.dll
Fault Module Version: 4.0.0.0
If it is this file, here is how to solve the problem.
Do a system search in the Adobe folder of your Program Files and find every copy of that .DLL file. Ignore the one in the Premiere Pro CS4 folder because that one is obviously bad.
Find one in a different folder that is the same "Module Version" as the bad one in Premiere Pro. I found one in the Encore CS4 folder. Then simply copy and paste this one into your Premiere Pro folder and overwrite the bad one.
And it's fixed. I couldn't believe it worked!
This might not work for everybody, but it worked for me. And I didn't have to uninstall my Suite or my OS or convert anything to a new file type! -
Debug Event when importing HDV footage
In short:
When I try to import HDV footage into a project (.mpeg format),
I receive the following message:
Premiere Pro Debug Event
premiere pro has encountered an error.
[..\..\src\time.cpp-105]
Subsequently premiere fails to import the files...
I first noticed this problem last week, so I thought it might
be related to a product update. But even when uninstalling Premiere
Pro and re-installing it (thus being version 3.0) the problem
still exists. Updating to 3.2 doesn't solve the issue either.
Does anyone recognize this issue?

Debug event prevent opening of project
Hei
Suddenly i am not able to open my project. A "debug event" appears:
Premiere Elements has encountered an error.
[d:\pre\mediacore\mediafoundation\api\inc\Keyframe/Keyframe.h-142]
Its importent for me to open this project.
It worked without problems with the 30-days test version of premier elements. After buying the software, this problem suddenly appears.
why? And how can i fix it?
akka heimaFrom what I have read and understood about this error (keyframe.h-142 error) I can assure you that the error is not because of the contents of your timeline. It has more got to do with how Adobe writes the project files. The prel file. That is the one that gets corrupt and there have been umpteen attempts to correct it through a script, a webpage, manually replace some entries etc. but nothing has a 100% fix for all the projects encountered.
We just have to pray that Adobe understands this and provides a fix. It is upto them alone to fix. The only thing I see common in all the cases that I have read through in various forums is that the machine language/installation language is not English. One of the forums was a Premiere Pro forum and there was one post that was 4 years old. So it just seems that it is a problem that Adobe knows but just does not Want to fix/ or know how to fix. Thet should certainly be aware of this. Hope they are because this thread is only growing in all the forums and in Premiere Elements' case it has only surfaced in the latest release, PrE10.
So to summarize, this is my understanding:
1. Only seen in Non-English
2. Been there a long time - (4+ years in Premiere Pro and ~6 months in Premiere Elements)
3. Happens in Premiere Pro (so PrE is not the only product affected).
4. Only project file gets corrupt (because recovery on this alone has worked for some)
5. Has something to do with a comma (,) and dot (.) separator in the project file
6. Happened in some cases where a previous version project was opened.
7. Some say it happened aftyer a render was done and project reopened in the same version.
8. No common steps in any of the reports thus far, to get to this error.
If I were you, I would just complete the process and log a bug in their database and wait for Adobe to finally hear us..
My mistake - Premiere Elements has also thrown this error 5 years back!!

Premiere Pro Debug Event trackitemgroup
In Premiere Pro 5.5, I get a Premiere Pro Debug Event ending in "trackitemgroup.h-2" that crashes the program every time the project is opened. Premiere will open other projects/create new projects, and importing the sequence and media into a new folder will bring up the same error, but won't always cause a crash.
Thank you for any helpThanks for the quick reply.
I basically did what you suggested, and didn't explain very clearly; created a new project file, imported the assets into that project, and then imported the original sequence. When I opened the original sequence (in the new project), all of the video showed up correctly, but I got the same error; the difference was, this time it didn't completely crash Premiere. I could just click OK and continue with the project (had to repeat that process a couple of times, but the project stayed open).
More details: this was a day-turn local news package, video shot on a Sony NX5U, reporter voice track recorded as a .wav file. This is the same workflow we've used for 6 months, and I've never run into this issue. Like I said, new projects with the same workflow are fine. I guess I could try playing each file in the timeline one at a time and see if one of them is having issues, but in the course of trying a few, they seem to be fine. -
Hi
I am working in a sharepoint migration project. We have migrated one SharePoint project from moss2007 to sp2013. Issue is when we are clicking on Popularity trend > usage report, it is throwing an error.
Issue: The data was not being processed to EVENT STORE folder which was present under the

In log viewer I have found the bellow error.

Please provide pointers on what needs to be done.Hi Nabhendu,
According to your description, my understanding is that you could not use popularity trend after you migrated SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013.
In SharePoint 2013, the analytics functionality is a part of the search component. There is an article for troubleshooting SharePoint 2013 Web Analytics, please take a look at:

I hope this helps.

PE 11 new install on WinXP system - Debug event error, can't open program
Hi everyone,
I searched the community for similar errors and followed a couple of troubleshooting steps suggested for older versions of PE, but they didn't work. I just installed Premiere Element 11 on my Windows XP office desktop (also installed PS Elements 11, which works without a problem.) Install went well and I rebooted the system as prompted. Every time I attempt to open Premiere however (I am not attempting to load any video files, I just want to open the program to start a new project), I get the splash screen at first, but after a few seconds of "Loading" and/or "Initializing" a bunch of parameters, the program hangs and following screen pops up:
"Premiere Element Debug Event"
Premiere Element has encountered an error.
[..\..\Src\Core\Preferences.ccp-338]
Continue
When I click on "Continue" the following window pops up:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
Runtime Error!
Program: ..e\Adobe Premiere Elements 11\Adobe Premiere Elements.exe
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
OK
So, here I am support team... Need more information, lol. I will also add that clicking the OK after the second window pops up often doesn't close the Premiere splash window still visible in the background, I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL and kill it manually by ending the process in Task Manager.
I installed the same program - same s/n - on my home computer as well, with no issues (that's a much newer, and much faster, Windows 8.1 system however.) I think you are entitled to install 2 copies though, right? So this wouldn't be related to too many attempts to register the same software?
Thanks for any help.umbertob
Wea re not Adobe. We are Premiere Elements users who visit here under our own free will (unscheduled) to help other Premiere Elements users with their Premiere Elements workflows.
Please detail the resources of your Windows XP computer. What edition is it...professional, home premium, or other? You realize come April 2014 Microsoft will discontinue support for Windows XP. Apparently you can continue to use it, but Microsoft points to security risks in that state.
a. how much installed RAM, how much available
b. how much free hard drive space
c. is the video card/graphics card used by the computer up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the video card/graphics card.
Did you install the program to the computer default location according to the installation process?
Please review and then we can discuss the details.
Thank you.

Handling rejections in the Payable's Supplier Open Interface Import Process
I’m using the suppliers API to mass load the suppliers. I’m loading the tables AP_SUPPLIERS_INT, AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_INT and AP_SUP_SITE_CONTACT_INT by part; first the AP_SUPPLIERS_INT and then the other two tables. Due to various errors I get some rejections on the first table. If I want to correct the data on the interface tables, what should I do (on the rejected records that I want to correct)? (a)Should I correct the data and leave the STATUS and REJECTION_CODE as the API left them and re-run the Open Interface Import process? (b)Should I delete the contents of those fields? (c)Should I delete the entire table?
I tried option (a) but the process seemed to take forever compared to the first time I ran it and I canceled the request.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
Unhide the Debug (Debug Switch) parameter of the Report, Supplier Open Interface Import and run the program with Debug flag as Yes.
Please post the log to help us understand the issue.

How to make a dalog process custom events when blocked by modal dialog
Hi,
I would like to understand the way modal dialogs block other dialogs so that I can properly solve an issue I'm having with two modal dialogs, one blocking the other.
I have an application, netbeans platform based, that opens a JDialog, NewDiskDlg, with it's modal property set to true. This dialog is responsible for starting a thread that will process a given number of files, from time to time, depending on some conditions, this thread will send events to the NewDiskDlg.
When this thread is started, the NewDiskDlg creates a new JDialog, also with the modal property set to true. Both dialogs have the same parent, the main window. And this works as I expected, the second dialog, ActiveScanningDlg, opens on top of the NewDiskDlg and, until the thread stops, the dialog stays visible.
When the thread stops an event is sent to this two dialogs signaling that the job has been completed, and here is my problem. The second dialog, the one that is visible when the event arrives, receives the event and executes the dispose() method, releasing control to the NewDiskDlg in the back, but the NewDiskDlg does not receive the event and does not process it correctly.
I understand the no input can be sent to a blocked window, but does that include calling upon the window's methods?
I've been looking for some help on this but my search terms are not good enough to provide me with any useful information. I've also read the topic on the focus system that is present in the Java Tutorial but I feel that that is not what I should be looking at.
The following code is a snippet of the important parts that I described:
NewDiskDlg has the following methods to process the events
public void readingStarted(ReadingEvent evt) {
SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
scanningDlg.showCentered();
public void readingFile(ReadingEvent evt) {
//DO NOTHING
public void readingStopped(ReadingEvent evt) {
Lookup.getDefault().lookup(MediaReader.class).removeListener(this);
if (!showAgain) {
dispose();
public void readingAborted(ReadingEvent evt) {
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(this, "", "", JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);//TODO: i18n on the error messagens
Lookup.getDefault().lookup(MediaReader.class).removeListener(this);
}ActiveScanningDlg processes the events like this:
public void readingStarted(ReadingEvent evt) {
//DO NOTHING
public void readingFile(ReadingEvent evt) {
jpbReadingProgress.setString(evt.getCurrentFileName());
public void readingStopped(ReadingEvent evt) {
Lookup.getDefault().lookup(MediaReader.class).removeListener(this);
dispose();
public void readingAborted(ReadingEvent evt) {
readingStopped(evt);
}This is an example on how the events are sent:
private void fireReadingFile(ReadingEvent evt) {
for (ReadingListener l : listeners) {
l.readingFile(evt);
}Hi,
You have to check the Tolerance limits set for the following tolerance keys. In case if any where the limit is breached the systems blocks the Invoice as 'R - Invoice verification'. Please check the limits set for all these keys.
AP - item amount variance (if you have activated the item check)
DQ and DW - for Quantity variance

I just purchased Aperture and have 20,000 + photos in my iPhoto Library. I see that I can create a unified library between the two. I am wondering if I can import only certain events from iPhoto (like only 2014 events) into Aperture or do I have to merge the whole iPhoto library? Are there any benefits to bringing the whole iPhoto library over to Aperture (iPhoto is SO SLOW for me, I wonder if it is because I have so many photos). Or, any detriment to only bring a few events over?
And, if I don't merge the two libraries, I assume that means I cannot do it at a later date?
Help. My local Apple store has had very few Aperture workshops, and the next one is like 2 months away.Thank you so much for this information. Here are some responses/comments:
Disk space - it says 114.43 GB out of 499.25 GB free. I have no idea if that is enough.
iPhoto version is 9.5.1
Again, I am not sure how to know if I have 3rd party software...but I don't think I do. Is 3rd party software anything non-apple?
I will try rebuilding the library. if that doesn't help, maybe I need more memory...? That is what Apple suggested, but that, of course, means buying something else. I've already bought APERTURE, on their recommendation...
It wasn't, and they told me it was slow because I had too many photos for iPhoto to handle and that I should buy Aperture. Which I did.
What is your iPhoto version? Are you using the most recent version 9.5.1?
iPhoto can handle 20000 photos, no problem. Your computer can be slow for several reasons:
The most common problem for slowness - insufficient disk space. Don't let your free disk space drop below 20 GB of free space, better more. If the operating system does not have enough working space and the applications you are using, you will notice a very lagging behaviour.
Older or incompatible softweare can cripple your mac. Do you have any older third-party software installed, that might have installed incompatible kernel extensions?
Aperture might be slow or keep crashing, if you imported a corrupted image or incompatible video, that cannot be processed. Then Aperture will try over and over again to create previews and never succeed. You could test for this situation, by launching Aperture with the Shift-key held down. This will defer the generation of previews. If Aperture will launch and work better this way, you probably have some bad media in your photo library.
Another problem to check for is a corruption of your Aperture/iPhoto library. You have run the First Aid Tools to repair the iPhoto Library, but have you ever tried to rebuild the library? See this post by Old Toad: Rebuild iPhoto Version 11 -
Problem with PSE9 - Receiving message window - CAHeadless Debuger Event.
In my last request for Technical support (Case # : 0181931685), I have 2 problems. One about inability to remove PSE9 and reinstalling was corrected by following instructions from Tech.Support. The second problem is still with me. The message window CAHeadless Debuger Event is poping up with the message ...\...\Src\DataManager.cpp-410. The window is having one button <Continue>. When I press the Continue button, everithing work and look OK until next time the windows pop-ups. The computer is new Dell Studio 8100 running OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64. Originaly I started using PSE9 on old Dell with Windows 7 Home premium 32 without any problem. Any advice how to stop this un-plessant message comming?
Thanks a lot! George.Hi all,
this case is closed it was catalog issue. I corrected this by creating new catalog and importing pictures from hard drive. All is now correct.

Import process does not complete
When loading photos everything seems OK until the last photo shows being uploaded. Then the "Finishing Upload" bar never shows completion of the upload process. However, the window with two buttons (keep photos in camera or erase photos in camera) is present and operable. I can wait forever - hours for the progress bar about finishing upload to disappear indicating completion of this process but the bar just remains on the screen. I then click on the keep the photos and the process seems to complete normally. I then can edit the event just loaded, all pictures are in the event and each can be edited. The event just imported shows up in the 'all events". Then when I close iPhoto09 and later launch the application, that latest event is nowhere to be found. Last import is a blank screen. Selection of 'all events' shows all previous events but the one just imported is not there.
Then to see if it was a hardware problem with the card reader or the CF card itself, I imported them successfully on a Macbook with no problem and they were there upon and close and re-launch of the application iPhoto08.
I believe the problem lies in the fact that I never get a completion signal of the import process, but I don't have any idea of how to overcome this. All other features seem to work fine i.e. other events are available for viewing or further editing, all pictures seem available. Any ideas.
Thanks for any help.
Mike HanrahanTerence,
Thanks for the help, I created a new library as you suggested and successfully uploaded photos with no problem. So far so good. When I first started using iPhoto when the computer was new, the library was located on my hard drive in the pictures folder. Some time later I added two additional external drives or I guess the term is volumes. Drive 1 is for the time machine automatic backups and Drive 2 was added later and is dedicated for my iphoto library exclusively. At the time I added Drive 2 I moved (or maybe it was copying I'm not sure) all my photos from the internal drive to the external Disc2. So now I have three photo libraries.
1) The original library on the internal HD with my early photos
MacHD/Home/MP Navigator EX/Pictures/IPhoto Library
where the 'MP Navigator EX' came from I have no idea
2) Disc 2 library with all photos and which is apparently associated with the import problem.
Disc2/Pictures/IPhoto Library
3) The newly created library on the internal HD
MacHD/Home/Pictures/iPhoto Library
So when I followed your option 1, rebuilding the iPhoto Library Database , the computer just rebuilt library 3 above - the one just created with a few test pictures.
I now have three questions:
1) How do I direct/select the rebuilding of library 2 above? ( I assume that is what I should do)
2) Once this problem is fixed, how do I tell iPhoto upon launch which Library to use?
3) Once the drive2 library is rebuilt, is the rebuilding process one that generates any new
libraries or other files that I need to be concerned about?
With your additional help, I think my problem will be resolved.
Thanks so much.

FCP X crashes during import of iMovie events
Installed FCP X and tried to import my iMovie Event Library. Crashes every time I attempt this, although not always at the same point of the import, suggesting that it isn't related to the specific video files being imported (e.g. due to a corrupted file). Trashing the contents of the FCP X event folder doesn't help either.
Don't think this app is ready for real world use yet.
