MediaPlayBack component audio speed

If, i've following the basic instructions for using the
mediaPlayBack component:
drag to stage, set to MP3, target a *.mp3 and publish.
fla, swf and mp3 are all i the same folder.
Works fine expect teh mp3 is being played back liek a
chipmonk - doubel / maybe treble speed etc.
why? i can't find a setting to control this?

Flash player has a hard time dealing with files that are encoded at
a rate that is not a multiple of 11.025 kHz. The result is what we
call the “chipmunk” effect. When you download the file,
it will play normally on your computer or device. Note to audio
creators: Avoid being chipmunk’d by encoding MP3’s at
11.025 22.05 or 44.1 kHz.

I just purchased Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone and it plays video, but not music. It only works when I'm using Neflix or the video component of the iPod. How do I get it to just play my music?

don't think so but the component rely on normal analog signals using RCA connectors
you can find tons of 3.5mm minijack connector and 2 rca connectors in the other cables
they are dirt cheap and you can even make them yourself

MediaPlayBack component, forward button grayed out

I am using the mediaplayback component and it plays the FLV
fine when I test it. It allows me to pause and play and rewind to
the first frame, but the fast forward button to go to the end of
the flv is grayed out. I don't know why? Also I am loading a swf to
play as a preloader when the flv is done loading. What functions do
I use to code this. thanks!

FYI.. This was a UME Role issue.
Assign the user all of the BPM roles and at least one gives them access..

When to use FLVPlayback and when to use MediaPlayback component

I looked at at the FLVPLayback component and the
MediaPlayback Component and I wonder when one should be used over
the other? Any experienced designer out there that can tell me?

Hey, My problem with using flvplayback is that SOME windows
vista computers, and i seriously cannot figure out exactly what it
is but they will play the flv very choppy and so i had to use
mediaplayback and it works fine on all computers that i have tested
it on. it was VERY annoying because my client kept attempting to
watch video from his computer and it came through as garbage and
when i watched it, well it was perfect. so i tested it out on
several different computers and operating systems and found that
certain computers were just not compatible. I am assuming they were
just not up to date? i dunno, i have a mac, dont have those
problems :)

Styling / Skinning the MediaPlayback Component

I've been trying to change the colors on the darn
MediaPlayback Component for months!!! I've read so many tutorials
on skinning, styling, etc... but I can't get these stupid colors to
change. I've managed to style other components using code, using
themes, etc... but this component won't budge!
Can someone point me to a method that 100% works? I'm not
looking to change button shapes, only the colors.. specifically the
green. If code works for this, I am comfortable with code.

I want to use the flvplayback so as I can keep the movie
controls within the area of my flv movie.
The flvplayback is too large with the boarders and the fact
that the progress/control bar is placed outside of the movie area.

Audio Speed change

Hello, does anyone know how to change the audio speed in FCP?
Please let me know.

Select (highlight) the clip in the Timeline and hit Command j to open the Speed control. Enter the speed you want. NOTE: speed changes may not take if a conflict occurs with another clip in the Timeline. You may need to copy the clip to an empty Sequence or to the end of your open Sequence then move it into place after the speed change.

FLV progressive download and MediaPlayback component???

I have to use FLV and progressive download. I did that with
the Video Object. That works great. The problem is that Video
Object does not allow us to control movie volume. It does not give
many function to control my movie. So the solution should be to use
the MediaPlayback component that gives me many fonctions, listner,
... But how to make it works with a FLV that reside on the server
but not in Streaming. I need to load it in progressive.
Any idea.

It's a snap with Flash 8 Pro. You just attach a skin to the
FLV with all the components (such as volume, mute, play, and pause)
and your good to go. Not sure how it works with earlier versions of
Flash.

Problam with MediaPlayback component

I am using MediaPlayback component. it is showing one small icon on top right . when it is click MediaPlayback in full screen mode . what is that icon & how remove that icon.

Got the same issue with an iPhone I got today. I have no problem using the earphones and that works alright but no sound comes from the speakers, neither ringtones, lock sound or any of the other sounds.
I have restored it twice with no luck but I have read about some sort of hardware problem that makes the phone believe that the earphones are plugged in so that might be it. Still haven't found a solution though.

Changing Audio "Speed"

I have a 35 minute video segment in Quicktime DV format. When I play the clip in quicktime, everything aligns flawlessly. However, once I import the clip into the FCP timeline sequence, the audio runs about 2 seconds behind the video by the end of the segment. FIRST, can anyone shed some light on what might be misaligning the audio and video? and SECONDLY, I have separated the audio from the video and am trying to figure out a way to change the rate or speed of the audio playback to sync it at the beginning and end to see if I can manually realign the audio and video.
Any suggestions?

What happens when you convert the file to DV-NTSC? The audio should be 48khz/16bit.
DV stream is not a native FCP editing format and is the source of all sorts of issues.

Audio Speed (2)

I posted this question earlier but unfortunately there's been no resolution. I was hoping someone might be able to help.
I have a project in Final Cut 5 where I'm splicing together a few MP3 files, making subclips, etc. - all with no video at all. My goal is to make an MP3 file at the end.
I have been trying to adjust the speed of certain audio clips. I tried CTRL+CLICKing on the clip, choosing Speed, and then adjusting the percentage but unfortunately all that does is crop the audio - it has no effect on the speed of the audio whatsoever.
I also tried exporting the clip to Soundtrack Pro but I've found nothing in that application that lets me speed up audio over an in and out marker.
Can anyone help?

FCP doesn't like nor work with MP3s very well. Only AIFF files at 48k, 16 bit stereo. And FCP is primarily a picture editing application, if you want to edit audio, you need to work with Soundtrack pro, Logic or Pro tools.
Now you mentioned that Soundtrack Pro doesn't work either. I am not sure that ST likes mp3s either, but I am not sure. Best to ask this in the SOUNDTRACK forum.

Audio Speed

I filmed a wedding and want to add songs over top of the audio from the DJ because the hall had a lot of echo. The problem is that the DJ sped up the songs slightly. Now I need to speed up my songs but I can't figure out how. I know I can do it in Logic or Soundtrack but they would require a lot more work to get the right tempo as the video. Any tips?

This may be a longshot and you may have already tried, but select the audio track in your timeline and option+click. There you will find SPEED in the pop-up change it from 100 to a higher percentage and see if it accomplishes what you want.

How to Create an Epic Rap Battle of History in After Effects (Compositing, VFX, Green Screen, Audio), or Fix Audio, Speed, and Real Time Problems

Hello. As a film project, I am creating an "Epic Rap Battle of History", a parody video of a popular series on YouTube. In my film/video, I would like to use compositing so that there will be two of one character in one shot. I have used Premiere Pro CC for the main character sequences, but when I imported this project in After Effects, there was no audio at all from the song, and the canvas displaying the composition was moving very slowly, at about 50% of the video's actual speed. Also, in the top right corner, it says, "Not Real Time", and displays something like 7.39/29.96. I have looked at different web pages, and nothing seems to work.
I would appreciate it if someone could explain how to fix this all up for me, or especially if someone who has had experience creating an Epic Rap Battle could actually list a step-by-step process on how to create one.

MediaPlayback component intermittent stuttering

I'm creating a very simple .mp3 player in Flash 8. When the
user selects one of four audio files, I set the contentPath of the
component instance to the .mp3's filepath. There's also a button
that plays/pauses the .mp3 using the myInstance.play() and
myInstance.pause() commands. For the most part, it works fine.
However, sometimes when the user pauses the .mp3, then
selects a different .mp3, the audio begins to stutter repeatedly;
it plays a very short (less than one second) snippet of the audio,
then keeps repeating this snippet.
Anyone ever encountered this? Thanks!

Marghoob Sulemaan suggest a better solution I just dont know
if flvPlayBack offer a video listener like onVideoComplete. if
youfind this solution plz let me know
other option:
you can execute this script while the video is playing. you
can probablly execute it every 1 second by setting set interval:
