MediaSource Organizer closes after it opens upon detection of the Zen Sle

Basically, i plug in the USB for my Zen Sleek, and then Creative MediaSource Organizer opens for a second then closes instantaneously. I don't know why this is happening. I look under processes in my task manager and i find CTCMS.exe running and so i try to end task it, but it will not let me. The only reason i find this would be happening is because i recently (just today) installed a new Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card. Is there any way of fixing this problem? And by the way, if i do need to uninstall/install the MediaSource Organizer again, will all of my playlists be deleted? I am pretty sure that it is caused by the Audigy 2 drivers. I have seen other users having the same problem, and have fixed the problem by updating their Audigy 2 drivers. You should update your Audigy 2 drivers. Let us know if it works for you.
And don't worry. The playlist will not be deleted when you unintsall MediaSource. The entire PC Music Library, including playlists are kept intact.

All applications close after being open for 1 minute.

Recently, all applications I open on my Mac close after being open for 1 minute. Safari and Microsoft word do not stay open for longer than 30 seconds. Prior to this, my computer would freeze and eventually applications would close. I'm not sure why this is happening or how to fix it. Does anyone know what could of happen for everything to close after opening it? Any help would be great, thanks!

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.

Lightroom closes after I open the development module

For several weeks, I have been facing a new incident.
As I am opening the development module, Lightroom closes after a couple of seconds.
This does happen on all versions but 1.0.

I downloaded Speedfan and discovered that the graphics card is indeed under some stress at the time of the crashes.
I've also found out that if I close all running programs, it causes less heat so doesn't crash and close.
When I come to upgrading this pc, I'll definitely be making sure a better cooling system is on the list lol.

Why does Firefox close after being opened for too long with no activity?

I need to leave an image loop playing on my computer continuously but the internet browser seems to time out after being opened for more than 14 hours. Is there a way to keep my internet browser opened with out activity for as long as I choose?

This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox locks up.

IBooks closes after I open a book

I am using the new OS (7.0.3) and experiencing a problem new since the new OS was installed. I open iBooks and see the shelves with books I've purchased, but when I tap a book, the screen returns to the home page. I have turned the iPad off and on and reset it, but to no avail.

Are they getting any closer to releasing a new firmware for the Zen Tou

I mean so I wouldn't have to use stupid Mediasource to transfer music, and could just plug my Z. T. into any computer and transfer music. It seems to me that some bright consumer could write a program to do this, or is it impossible for this to happen for some reason?

I think its pretty bad that a company that made over $375 million in Q2 and reported sales of over 2 million mp3 players is putting such little investement into providing updates for existing (still on sale) products, mainly the Zen Touch and Zen Extras... They seem to think that only Zen micro users deserve Firmware updates despite the fact that a large number of us have bought and continue to buy other existing creative models! Surely with such high profit and demand they must be able to put more resources into updates for their players (mainly Firmware), or at worst give us a serious time frame as when to expect the updates (if i had known how long i would be waiting i might not have bought my Zen Touch in favour of a differnet player). I have always looked upon Creative as a very trustworthy company that deli'very high quality and high spec products. I never for a moment thought that the updates would be so few and far between! Div Slider won't close after it opens

I'm playing around with some social media sliders and am running into a bit of trouble.
I am starting with the Facebook slider. It opens perfectly fine, however, after that, it will not fully close.

Still working on the same project. Tried to copy the settings for the most part from the working Facebook slider for the Twitter slider, however the tab is inside of the div for some reason.
I can't figure out the difference for the life of me.
I ran it through the validator, but didn't see anything.
Would you mind taking a look? You seem to be pretty confident with this stuff.

Photoshop closes after I open a picture.

Hello.
I have downloaded Photoshop CS4 on a trail basis.
It starts up fine, but as soon as I open a picture file and start "chopping", it crashes for a couple of seconds then closes with no warnings or error messages. As you can imagine this is rather annoying, especially when I'm halfway though doing something.
Just before it crashes, I can hear my pc speeding up. I don't know whether this might have something to do with it?
I'm rather pc illiterate I'm afraid, so please excuse my ignorance of the tech speak.

Has anyone else had a problem with closing their Macbook Pro (latest model) and after you open it back up the internet shows as connected but won't pull up websites whatsoever?

Occasionally, I will close my Macbook Pro when I'm not using it, and when I reopen it my wireless network shows as being connected, but the internet will not function whatsoever. I tried disabling the WIFI and re-enabling it but the problem persisted. Ultimately I have to just restart then everything works fine. I even tested my cell phone (which uses my home WIFI also) and was able to pull up websites, which isolates the problem to the computer.
Seems like after the computer goes on Standby or Sleep, it only has the trouble immediately after. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!

Bridge does not remember last folder opened upon reboot of the OS

I recently re-installed Win 7 64 on a new HD, and after all the folderol of that operation (Windows updates, SP1 etc) Bridge does not seem to remember where it was when the computer is rebooted. When I open Bridge, all I get under Favorites/Folders is Desktop and Computer, under which I have to run down all the HD's, folders, subfolders again to find where I was last. It works correctly in XP but not Win7 64 Ultimate.
Am I missing something in the setup?

How do I close multiple documents opened in Finder when the files are loading and the Application is not responding?

I was moving 90 files from one folder to another and instead accidently double clicked all the files I had selected and they all opened at once and now they are all stuck trying to load and the program is not responding.
When I put my mouse over the folders, it's just the loading cursor so i can't select anything. I've tried using 'command' - 'option' - 'W' and that doesn't work either.
I have tried restarting finder and all that does is shut all of the folders and reopens them and they get stuck trying to load all over again.
I have tried restarting my macbook and every time I log back in, it restarts all the programs and all the finder windows and the whole process repeats.
(even when I unselect the 'restart opened programs' box.)
I really hope someone knows how to troubleshoot this problem I am having!

Open thermocouple detection on the 1120

I am using an SCXI 1120 module with a 1320 terminal block to take temperature readings from k-type TCs. When we disconnect a TC the reading for that channel goes to around 272 C, which is in our measurement range. How can I get that reading to go out of range when the TC is removed?

All of the open thermocouple features I know of in NI hardware is taken care of in the driver. In addition to this, the hardware needs to support this functionality as well. The previous discussion should work well, but I do not know of a library that does this for you. All it really is is just 2 separate tasks (a resistance measurement and then a thermocouple measurement). You should be able to program this yourself using the DAQmx calls relatively easily. I would suggest looking at the example programs (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples).
If you give me more details about the hardware you have and what you have tried, then I can try and help you out more.

On my desktop I can have more than one home page so that they all load when I connect to the internet.
On my laptop, I cannot figure out if or how I can add a second home page. Is it possible to have more than one home page on my laptop?

Firefox can have more than one homepage. Multiple homepages are separated by the keyboard character "|".
