Medion Erazer X7825 + GTX870M with MSI GT70 Bios possible ?

Hi,
I do I get Medion X7825 Erazer with an original bios. I plan an MSI GTX870M 3GB (from a GT60 2PC), along with a full color backlight keyboard to operate in this unit (from a GT70 0ND). For that I would like to use the MSI GT70 2PC Bios and the EC firmware so I can use the SSE. If this is possible without any problems? I know that the power sensor strip has a few other features, but I could also use the sensor bar from GT70 0ND, that would be no problem.
Bios: http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GT70-2PC-Dominator.html#down-bios&Win8.1%2064
EC Firmware: http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GT70-2PC-Dominator.html#down-firmware&Win8.1%2064
Furthermore, the BIOS files from MSI are current as of the Medion also by far and the fan control has also been improved significantly.
Actually, this should nevertheless funktioneren perfectly. When I think of the predecessor because, as you could use in the MS-1762 devices of the MSI Medion 51x BIOS to use newer video cards. The devices have been introduced after the Biosflash as MSI GT70 0ND.

SSE is an exclusive program for MSI Gaming Notebook; not for OEM product.

  • VBios Medion Erazer x7821x equal to MSI GT70 Series

    Hi,
I watches this Forum for some time and i hope someone (eventually "Svet") can help me.
I have a Medion Erazer x7821 with GForce Gtx 670mx. This Notebook should base on the MSI GT70 Series.
My big Problem is the locked vBios of the GTX 670mx. With the original vBios its impossible to overclock the Card. MSI Afterburner shows no usable results and NVidia Inspector let me adjust the clock but every time i try to accept the changes the controls jumps back to normal (if i try to underclock the card with NVidia Inspector the changes are accepted). So i think the overclocking is completely blocked by the vbios.
I saved the vBios and try to edit it with "Kepler BIOS Tweaker v.1.25". On opening the saved ROM i become an Error and the programm closed (tried on Win8 and Win7) so i have no chance to see the real content of the File.
I got the 1,5GB Model GTX 670mx actual BIOS Version:
    Version:80.04.5B.00.A5 ID:10DE:11A1:1462:10D9
    GK104 Board - 2051b003 (Normal Board)
    GeForce GTX 670MX    (10DE,11A1,1462,10D9) H:--:NRM B:01,PCI,D:00,F:00
    Thanks
P.S.: Please forgive my bad english totay... had a looong night *lol*

  • MSI GT70 Bios unlock Request

Hello, i was wondering if you could unlock this Bios for me. Its an MSI GT70 0ND 452US laptop
    Mainboard:  MS-1762
    PCB Version:  REV:1.0
    BIOS Version: E1762IMS.50X
    BIOS Date:  21/01/2013
EC-FW Version:  Not sure why this hasnt come up?
Aso i am having a problem with my graphics card and wondered if you could help? I basically bought this laptop without the Nvdia GTX 680m card in it. So i bought a second hand one off ebay, i installed it and it sort of worked but the drivers wouldnt install. So i looked online and re flashed the V-Bios with an MSI branded one off techinferno forum
However when i restarted the laptop it just hangs on the bios screen, but it does try to boot in ACHI mode which is strange? I have tried to reflash in this mode but it doesnt find the Card. Any Ideas? It should work in principle and i do have the old V-Bios. Maybe the laptops bios isnt accepting the Graphics Card?
    thanks for any help

don't know, officially msi do support video card upgrades, users are their own.
    some my guesses:
    the card can be defective
or the vbios that you have flashed to be unstable or to be incorrect for your card, use card original vbios
or the charger to be too weak for entire combo include the new powerfull card
    or something else

    Greetings all,
I am not sure if this subject was discussed before or not.
I have a msi GT70 that has NVIDIA Geforce GTX 670m.
I want to play games like BattelField  and Sinper Elite v2. the game is laggy and slow, had to lower graphics to be able to play it well.
I know for sure this laptop can run those games in ultra mode with no problem. so what is the problem here? can anyone here help me? thanks in advance.
im sure that your games are not running on ur GTX 670m, try this:
uninstall the mobile gpu and install it again and then do the same with the gtx 670m card.
another thing something that u can try to play almost with all ultra (unless shadow[low], effect[normal], blur off, hbao off, AA off) every thing else to the max is creating a file .txt (on the bf3 folder) and type on it
    GameTime.MaxVariableFps 30
and save it as user.cfg and it will run great
make sure that the file didnt save as a text file

  • How to get Asus VG278H 3D monitor to work with MSI GT70 0NC-002US?

So I just got this monitor for Christmas and it works great in 2D, but my Nvidia control panel will not show the option to set up stereoscopic 3D, I know this laptop is definitely capable of supporting 3D as it has a GTX670m graphics card, and MSI states this in the product description. I have contacted Nvidia customer support, but they weren't able to help, I have updated the graphics card drivers, and am connecting the laptop to the monitor with an HDMI cable. Please help if you can!

Quote from: flobelix on 31-December-12, 00:28:20
There is no hint on product site for this notebook being 3D Vision certified. As this is a notebook it takes not just the gpu but also the screen to be 3D Vision certified. Even if it would be I highly doubt it would work on an add-on screen and not just the notebook's screen.
Sadly....this notebook is 3D Vision certified.....If you actually check the product page, it's one of the major things that are pointed out. Actually, I guess the link I have is for the 0NE (which is what I have), but still...The ONC and OND should be the same.
    http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT70-0NE.html
Right there at the end of all the graphics information it talks about 3D Vision. =/
The 0NC is a bit different. It lacks all mention of 3D Vision. =/
Now....the worst part. 3D Vision requires a Dual Link DVI connection, which this laptop lacks. HDMI is only comparable to a single-link DVI connection as well. That being said, you're pretty much out of luck when it comes to using the monitor in 3D Mode. Especially with the next part....
Lastly.....taken from http://www.techjailbreak.com/msi-gt70-0ne-255fr-gaming-laptop-complete-review-and-specs/ which is for the GT70-0NE....
    Quote
Finally, note that the GTX 680M is compatible with all technologies Nvidia (PhysX, Optimus, etc..) but some of them (such as 3D Vision) cannot be used on the machine, for lack of suitable 3D display. However, if you have the glasses and a 3D Vision screen, nothing prevents you from connecting the MSI GT70 via HDMI and 3D gaming (720p only).
I hate to say it, but it really looks like you're out of luck when it comes to using that monitor for 3D.

  • MSI GT70 BIOS Upgrade

I recently purchased an MSI GT7 0NC laptop. When trying to run VirtualBox software, I realized that hardware virtualization was disabled. There is no option in the BIOS currently on my laptop to enable this feature. I did some research and found out that if I update the BIOS, the option to enable hardware virtualization should become available. There are two downloads on the MSI website for the most recent BIOS for the GT70.
Which BIOS do I download? The one that says "for RAID systems only" or the one that says for "non-RAID systems only"?
Once I download the correct BIOS, how exactly do I install it on my computer?
Detailed instructions will be much appreciated. Thank you!

That will depend on which version of the notebook you bought; either the RAID version (with two hard disks) or the non-RAID (with one hard disk).

You shouldn't install anything you find especially not from bios section! weren't you reading what it says there? Your laptop came with win8 pre-installed and you can't crossflash to a Win7 version. Please read the warnings.

  • Lag spikes(Assumingly disk spikes) with MSI GT70 2PC

    Hello,
I bought a msi gaming laptop a couple of months ago and noticed some weird spikes where my laptop because inactive for 2 seconds. My screen freezes and I am unable to move my mouse.
I am trying to find the solution myself but I think my lack of experience holds me down.
If you guys could help me out I would be very happy!
This is the research I did myself:
Installed Windows Performance Recorder and tried to find out where the problem was but without succes. But I did notice that sometimes my hard disk usage becomes 100% for a couple of seconds.
I don't know if this causes the problems but maybe it helps with solving the problem

    You can try these solutions:
    1. HDD is occupied by contents index or removing language packs process. We suggest user to check FAQ 740 and FAQ 646 for this two problems.
    FAQ:740
When WINDOWS 8 OS is in idle mode, HDD usage often reaches 100%.

    FAQ:646
    http://www.msi.com/faq/nb-646.html
    2. When playing some games, game lags might happened due to the hard disk's power saving function. Also the hard disk's sounds might appeared due to the fast read/write tasks from the system. You can follow the instructions and try to turn off the power saving and acoustic management function of your hard drive to avoid game lags and try to decrease hard disk's sound.

  • Need help with MSI GT70 0NC-029NE bluescreen problems

I've just bought this new MSI computer, and downloaded a few programs like skype, steam, origins etc. When I open all of them at the same time, the bluescreen appears saying; memory management. The computer has 8gb ram, so it shouldnt really be a problem.
Would really be nice with some help on this as it is quite annoying

The amount of memory is not the problem, but a fault with the memory, or the memory controller (in the CPU) could be the problem.
Is there a particular program that causes this BSOD?

  • Technical Issue with MSI GT70 0ND-492US

I've had this issue intermittently since I bought this laptop. I have had a software issue(I believe) since I got it, and it's a bit of a nuisance, so I was wondering if you knew any fixes. When something goes full screen, or I tab out of a game, my display will not pop up. Sounds will play so the game or whatever is working, but there is no display, just a backlit black screen and I have no way to get back to having a screen aside from restarting my laptop. It's rather annoying, and I was wondering if you guys have any ideas as to what this could be.

    What games?
Are you setting them to Fullscreen Windowed mode? Or fullscreen non-windowed mode? Games generally don't like alt+tab unless they are run in Windowed mode (which tends to perform worse than in non-windowed mode).

CPU-Z reads 900? That is correct for 1800. DDR=Double Data Rate, 2X900=1800. Probably produce too much excessive heat anyway even if the BIOS was unlocked and the VGA and CPU were OC'd.

or exalmple the RAM. it should be 1866MHz but in CPU-Z it shows that it works only on 900 MHz which is almost 50% of what it should be
900 means 1800 as Froggy said
I can unlocked the BIOS and you can play with memory timings and speed. But your ram is already running in near top shape.

GPU OC is not depend of BIOS, but vbios
about CPU, yes some blck which to allow some OC could be possible,
but its not guaranteed. some people report that they has no effect, while others can get some further CPU OC.

  • MSI GT70 (0NE-452) Refuses to Boot/random shut downs - BIOS problem?

    Hello,
I recently purchased a MSI GT70 0NE-452 laptop from Xotic PC. It came with Windows 8, but since Windows 8 broke most of Adobe Premiere, Vegas, and After Effects, I wiped the RAID0 SSDs and installed Windows 7. I've reinstalled all the drivers and have been comfortably setup for about a week or 2. Unfortunately now, the laptop has been behaving strangely.
    1) Random shutdowns, regardless of whether I'm connected to power or not. And I know it isn't because the battery died. (This might be fixed now since I downloaded another driver for the CPU Thermal  Control)
    2) Laptop won't turn on first-try. I press the power button and the power button flashes orange but nothing happens. It will only turn on once I've removed the battery and put it back in.
I have a feeling this could be a BIOS problem, and possibly attributable to the Windows 7 reformat, but I'm not sure. My BIOS is currently: American Megatrends Inc E1762MS.50U, 11/23/12.
The MSI website for my model has a Bios update:
    Release Date: 2012-12-14
Description: Fix HDMI/DP hot plug no function after S3 resume
    Non-Win8
    E1762IMS.30R
Can someone please advise? Should I try my hand at flashing the BIOS with this update and hope it solves the problem, or should I just call MSI and get it fixed by them?
Any help is much appreciated, thank you very much!

I'll take your advice but can you clarify a bit? Is it something beyond a BIOS repair?
