Medium Name detail objects can't able to drag into WebI filter panel

Hi experts,
In our OLAP universes on SAP BI Query we have medium name detailed objects, which we are not able to drag into Web Intelligence filter panel. Whenever we try it says that you can't drag this object into filter panel.
The exact message is "You can not use this object in the filter pane". This is not applicable to all, some of Medium Name detail objects are allowed at filter pane.
Can any one throw some light on this. why we can't use medium name detailed objects in WebI Report filter panel.

Hi Ingo,
Based on my analysis found that the property for Condition panel is disabled only for Medium Name detail objects when BI InfoObject having text enabled for Medium Name (only).
In case of short and long text this property is enabled on integration with out any manual efforts.
Are there any special considerations (like performance) for medium name detail objects in doing so. I mean using medium name details objects in Condition panel are we going to face any performance issues. Is it recommended to have medium name details objects as condition?

PNG is already a compressed format and most likely you already have achieved the maximum possible result. Unlike with JPEG, there are no compression levels. If you want it smaller, you have to reduce the dimensions or the amount of colors, but that's about it.

Can't enter the @ Symbol into web email fields in Safari

I was trying to create a new acount on AT&T Wireless and it wouldn't let me enter the @ into the email fields on the signup form. I reported it to AT&T support, but afterwards I realized that was dumb. It is more likely a bug with Safari. So thought I'd post the bug here.

I seemed to have at least solved my issue with not being able to type into text fields - though it did seem to be kind of a drastic thing to do.
I have Safari 5.1.2. Your mileage may vary.
I clicked on the top of the screen 'Safari' menu, then selected 'Reset Safari'.
It closes all of your browser windows and clears out all of your Safari saved site passwords and cached field entries. I don't really care about Safari saving my passwords as I use 1Password to remember all of my passwords with. Though there may be a stray one or two of them that I haven't found out about yet. Oh well!
When I did that, it closed out all of my Safari windows & tabs. I then restarted Safari and now everything seems to be working again!
There may be some options that you can choose when using 'Reset Safari' that will keep your saved passwords if that is important to you. I just left everything checked (Default).

I'm running Labiew 6i for Linux. I'm using a system exec.vi to call an external program to do image manipulation (since there is no IMAQ for linux). How can I embed the user interface of the external program into the front panel of Labview?

As far as I know, the only way to embed other GUIs in LabView is an ActiveX in a container.
As long as you are using Linux, try to place (moving them on the desktop ) the two windows linked (like those 3 of WinAmp).

Can not able to log into the BPM workspace ?

Hi All,
I am using ALBPM 5.7 enterprise server and deployed my project into the enterprise server.
After the deployment when I tried to log into the workspace it is not taking any of the password.
PS: Before deployment I never tried to login to the workspace since I do not have user id for the project.
There are users in the participant wizard and I even tried to reset the password of existing user but it is still not working. I even tried to create a new participant but still it is not taking the password for the same user.
Is it like the new password/participant will get active only after certain time interval say 24 hrs.
But this is not the case of ALBPM 6.0 as far as my knowledge is concern.
Can somebody let me know where I made anything wrong.
If somebody has BPM administration document (Password Reset/Create participant in 5.7), please let me know.

It sounds like you are trying to log into the workspace with the admin user..... not a participant.
The participants need to be set up in the Process Administrator, (which you will log in via the admin user / pass that was created for the engine).

HELP-Songs can no longer be dragged into playlists on my Itunes

I have noticed recently that I can no longer click and 'drag' my songs from my library play list, to other playlists on itunes. Is there another way I can transfer specific songs from the library to my playlists? Or is there a way I can fix it so I can continue to drag my songs from the library to other playlists?

Are you trying to drag songs to a regular or a smart playlist? You cannot drag songs to a smart playlist, instead you have to make the tags match the smart playlists conditions (or make the conditions match the tags). If you are having problems dragging to a regular playlist, try opening that playlist in a second window by double clicking on it, move it aside so you can see both iTunes windows, and try dragging the song from the Library into the playlist's window.

Can protected songs be dragged into GarageBand or transcriber software ?

I need to put songs into Garage Band and use the cycle feature to learn them .
It doesn't seem to work . Will it work with a transcriber program . I know there are quite a few but I can't think of or find any off-hand .

GarageBand does not support songs purchased from the iTunes store.
You'll have to be specific about another piece of software before anyone can tell you factually about it.

#multivalue error for detail object in webi report

Hi,
I am facing #multivalue error in my webi report.
I am using 2 queries
Query 1
Account Number
Cost Center
Query 2
Account Number
Order Number
Now I want to display Account Namer,Cost Center and Order Number in the report.
So I merged Account Number from both the queries, and created a detailed object "Order" and associated it with [Query 1].[Account number].
But Order displays values for some accounts, and displays Nulls and #MULTIVALUE error for some accounts.
Please through some light on this issue.
I tried every possible solution from my side, but couldn't get it work. It is happening because there is a 1:N relationship between Account Number and Order. I can not use any aggregate function because it will give only the Max or Min value, but I want list all the value of for each Account Number. Avoid Duplicate Row Aggregation was also checked but it didnot help.

There are few things that you need to consider while displaying the data.
1 - Can an Account Number be associated to more than one Order Number? If yes, then your solution will not work and that's the reason you are seeing #MULTIVALUE (i.e. Multiple Order Numbers for the same account number)
2 - Why would you want to create two data providers? Would it not be possible for you to bring in all the 3 objects in the same data provider? The only reason I could think of is that they are not related
3 - Always make the lower granularity objects common across the data providers. I do not know about the relation between different entities of your database, but I would suggest something like
Query 1 - Order Number, Account Number
Query 2 - Order Number, Cost Center
and merge Order Number...and create detailed object for either Account Number / Cost Center. It all depends on the relation between the tables.

I have a standalone custom web dynpro application which needs to be linked to standard team viewer application.
What I want is I should be able to select the employee from the Team Viewer iView and supply the information to the Custom Application so that it gives me output based on that.

Now I got some idea. But I have one more issue.
During button click the I need all the properties in textbox in TabPage1 to the textbox in NewTabPage(refer above image). but later if we change in text in any textbox the replaced text should not reflects the other text.
E.g: If textbox.text="Microsoft";
during buttonclick i need the textbox in New Tab Page should be Microsoft.
later if I edit the text should not New Tab Page or TabPage1 the text should not reflects from one control to other.

I could get what you are dealing with now, and to get that done, I would recommend you use the following way.
1. Add properties to UserControl, you could define the names of these properties with custom rules.

In this case, if we have a lot perproties to copy, you could consider capture them by the custom rules you defined at #1 like this one.

Option 1:
If the form is designed in transaction SFP, which has a form interface (transaction SFI), then below solution will work:
For example consider the data node name as 'COUNTRY' . Select drop down UI element and go to 'Object' properties tab. Select 'Binding' tab, on the top right hand side of this tab there is small icon, select the icon and enable the option 'Show Dynamic Properties'. Once this option is enabled in the 'Binding' tab you can click on the link 'Specify Item Values'. A popup will open, here specify the binding value as

Option 2:
If the data connection is directly to the webservice then binding needs to be done similar to option 1 except one change. While binding the value in dynamic properties based on XML schema binding needs to be changed.
As you can see in option 1, for dynamic property binding
$record.sap-vhlist.COUNTRY.item[*]
, there is a value called sap-vhlist. This 'sap-vhlist' gets generated when form is designed in transaction SFP with form interface. So in your case if data connection is from webservice value sap-vhlist needs to changed to the value as per XML schema definition.

Hi Preetham,
Where do you want to do this. If it is is just in the table header then you simply need to click on the header item, click the Fx toolbar button. It displays the edit toolbar with the formula
=NameOf([My Object])
You can change this to be
="My New Name"
