Hi all!
Back in September Johnnie and I joined the Skype team as interns. We have loved working at Skype and have found reading through posts on the community essential in helping us create ideas to improve user experience. We felt it was about time we introduced ourselves so we each completed an interview.

Another item I should mention. The photos in my previous post were taken with a phone. So if some are blurred, that is certainly not the way the TV picture looked. So excuse my poor photography.

The last few times I've used headphones in my iPad, the audio has been all messed up to the extent where it's better to just use the internal speakers and not the headphones. I've tried multiple pairs of headphones to no avail. Help?

The iPad was bought in mid-June, but I did not get extended Apple-Care warranty on it. Any idea of what's happenening?

Multiple means how many? If only 2 or 3, they could all be faulty. Try the headphones in some other device, to make sure they are OK. Or there could be something wrong with the headphone port.
Your iPad is still covered by the 1-year warranty so you should make a Genius appointment and have it looked at.
Another thing to try is to plug in the headphone jack a few times in succession to see if it frees up something inside the port.

Material Description not showing in the internal goods and services catalog

I have replicated materials from backend. They have all been successfully replicated and I can see everything in COMMPR01. But when we create a shopping cart using the internal catalog only the material number and system show up. We are on SRN server 5.5 support pack 15. Any help will be really appreciated.

Check, if you have description in correct language.
For example:
If you replicate materials with English names (description only in english) and you login to the SRM using for example Italian, the description of the material will be empty.
There is a Description table in COMMPR01 transaction on the General tab (bottom of the screen).

Making the internal drive and external drive

My G5 died last week and I got a new macbook pro. I just got an external closure for the internal hard drives. Can The same be done for the burner. I upgraded the burner last year and it is very nice. Please let me know if this is possible and what some good options would be.

Record the internal sounds and not the external?

How can I record the audio that's currently playing on my iMac but NOT have it record noises external to the computer such as mouse clicks, breathing etc...
For example, if I wanted to record the audio of the text speaker, how do I do that? I'm currently trying to capture this with Quicktime but it's using the iMac's Internal Microphone and is therefore picking up external audio aswell?

Merging the internal table and structure for PO text material download

To split the records of the internal table and send in Packets to XI

Hi All,
I am executing the program in SAP. Program will send the material numbers to Oracle through XI and in turn we will get the corresponding data back to SAP. and this all data is written into the file.
if records are more than 700 then XI will not able to get the data fully.
So, solution for this is to send the data in packets.
I want to write the logic like whenever the recods are more than 700, the first 700 records will got to XI and rest of the records will go to XI after that. we are sending the material numbers to xi through proxy.
Problem is : how to write the logic for this.
suppose we have executed the report for 1000 records, then it should generate 2 excel file in which first file shud contain 700 records, AND 2nd will contain rest of the 300 records.

Please try this code. This is to split records as 255 length and u can change it as ur requirement by simply changing l_offset value as 700.

How to export internal table and pass the internal table to another screen?

Hi,
I have a sql SELECT statement that select data from table into internal table. I would like to export out the internal table and pass to another screen and display the data in ALV list. How to export it out? I try but the error given was " The type of "OUT_SELECT_ITAB" cannot be converted to the type of "itab_result".
Another question is, how to pass the internal table that i export out from the function module to another screen?
Here is the code

I try to change it in Tables tab page but it state that TABLES parameters are obsolete. when i "Enter". I try to "Enter" again. it seem to be ok but it stil give me the same error.

Conversion of a string output and store them into the internal table fields

Hi,
I'm writing a program in which I'm populating the values generated in TCODE- 'AL11' I'm able to retrieve the data in string format but I've to break the string and put the values in an internal table. The internal table has fields of various lengths and no specific position where I can use a delimiter and use the Split command.
Kindly provide me suggestions how I can break the string and assign the values in the fields of the internal table.

Take the screen fields length and create an internal table.
loop the internal table and first split the string at delimeter( use cl_abap_char_utilities)
CONSTANTS:
c_delimiter        TYPE c VALUE
                          cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab,
c_delimiter_enter TYPE c VALUE
                          cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf.
loop at itab into fs.
    SPLIT w_str AT c_delimiter_enter INTO w_str w_dummy .
                                      " SPLITTING AT 'ENTER KEY'
      SPLIT w_str AT c_delimiter INTO
                                      " SPLITTING AT 'TAB'
fs-f1,
fs-f2.
append fs to itab.
clear fs.
endloop.

Using internal Speakers and optical Output at the same time ?

Hello,
is it now possible to use the internal Speakers and optical Output at the same time ?
Is this a software or hardware limitation ?
Every day im disconnecting the optical output. It can't be good for the contacts. I wont spend over 100 euros buying an external soundcard to solve this problem.
Any Ideas ?
