  • Lync Outlook Plug-in displays Region and Language in Meeting Invite only with Lync 2013

    Hello,
I am running Lync 2010 right now and have a some users who are using Office 2013 and Lync 2013 client. When they create an Online Meeting using the plug-in in outlook the meeting invite shows the location and number but also displays the region that number
is coming from along with the Primary Language it is available in. This does not happen with Lync 2010 client and Office 2010. I really don't think the region name and the language is important and it makes the meeting invite look messy. Is there a way to prevent
this globally? Is this what I can expect from Lync 2013, as I am in the process of deploying that now?

Holger is right, that's just the way it is and you can't really change it. You can customize what is seen in the screenshot however.    The only thing you can really do is hand edit them, or if it's the dedicated meeting space you could
cut and paste it into a signature and customize it any way you like, but that breaks other things like some of the one-click join functionality.

  • When I receive meeting invitations from Microsoft Outlook contacts, none of the meeting information comes through. How can I change this to receive the info?

The email itself comes through fine, but it's stripped of the meeting info.

Hate to ask the obvious, but do you have Lightning installed and a calendar [http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=13030631&sid=21fb61cce4ca855b88fd460481f1fb40#p13030631 properly set up]?
If you send yourself a test invitation, does the ics attachment appear in the message with the Accept and Decline buttons?

  • PDF printer not working in Outlook 2013

I have the PDF printer add in activated, but when I try to use the PDF printer in Outlook 2013, nothing happens.
The program turns for a while, but then closes without the PDF file being created.
Used to work without problem for earlier versions of Outlook.

You probably need to upgrade. According to the compatibility table (
    https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html)
Outlook 2013 is compatible with Acrobat XI (11.0.1) or higher only.

  • Keeping original email with meeting invite in Mail...

Anyone know how to keep the original meeting planner email in the Inbox of Mail when you accept a meeting invitation?
In Outlook, there is a setting so that the original meeting invitation stays in my inbox whether I accept or reject the meeting request... Is there any way to do this in Mail? Thanks.

    HI jumassillia,
Just to make sure I follow, you received an email regarding this "Juliette et Chocolat" event and the first screen shot is captured in the Hub? The 2nd shot is from your Gmail account in the Browser?
Do you sync your Gmail Calendar with your BlackBerry? If so, when you go to this date in your Calendar do you see the appointment?
    Thanks!

  • Meeting invitations related limitations?

    Hi,
I've come across to two (apparent) limitations related to processing of meeting invitations:
    1) Compared to previous BlackBerry software versions, the space provided for comments added to responses to meeting invitations (e.g. clarification why I cannot join the meeting or why I marked it as tentative) seems to be limited to a single line. This may not be sufficient in some cases. Am I missing something?
    2) In contrast to processing of meeting invitations in MS Outlook, the invitations seem to be removed completely after processing them on BB Q10 (MS Outlook moves them to folder Deleted items, which still provides an option e.g. for checking the details of such an invitation after I reject my participation on such a meeting or if I possibly change my mind later). Is there some option somewhere allowing to change this BB Q10 behaviour?
    Thanks
    Tomas

I have the exact same problem including the "other / funny" part you mention. It's a never ending cycle and it's annoying! I feel badly for the people I've accepted the invites for as the must have received 3-5 accepts from me.
Let us know if you find a solution.
BTW, I also am using a MacBook Air with Outlook 2011 on the same account.

  • Mail program changes ALL meeting invite (*.ics) to *.ifb

I previously have Leopard and when someone forward me a meeting invite from their Outlook application or even iCal, it will show up in my OSX Mail program as an .ics attachment. I can click on .ics attachment and it'll show up in iCal or any other calendar program, like BusyCal.
I upgraded to Snow Leopard last week and now the same meeting invite email will come with an *.ifb attachment*. This attachment *cannot be opened with ANY Calendar program, including iCal.*
However, if I change the attachment from .ifb to .ics, iCal can open it.
Can anyone tell me why Snow Leopard does this or if there is some settings that I am unaware of?
I don't want to have to change the calendar invite extension every time I received a meeting invite.

That's what my thoughts at first, but nothing changes in Outlook. I still use the same Outlook and so is my other clients. It's very rare that suddenly my company's Outlook program and about 20 of my clients' Outlook changes at the same time that causes the creation of the .ifb file instead of normal .ics or universal calendar invite.
Just for the heck of it, I re-installed Office in my 3 other laptops and sent test meeting invite and they all comes back as .ifb attachments.
I tried to open the .ifb files by double-clicking the file in Snow Leopard and point it to iCal and it didn't add the calendar invite.

  • Lync 2013 meeting invitation customizations not working for some users

    Hello Microsoft TechNet Forms,
I have a strange problem that I am totally stumped on. I made some modifications to the Lync 2013 meeting configuration to add in my company's logo, a footer and set a custom help Lync URL. Now everything seemed to work expect for myself and
one other person I tested with. If I try creating a new Lync 2013 meeting via my Outlook 2013 the normal stock Lync meeting invite appears. Yet testing with any other user everything I have changed appears as expected and I am at a total loss to why.
I have so far from troubleshooting determined it must be something with my account that is causing it but I have just not been able to determine what. As signing into a different machine yields the same result yet testing with another account that is
known to work on the exact same machine works correctly with the different account. I have tired deleting and re-crating my Lync account just in case that had something to do with it but that didn't fix the problem. I have tired repairing Office 2013 to
running windows update on Office 2013 which didn't help.
The changes I made to the meeting configuration are global scoped. I have so far not found anything online from anyone ever reporting a similar issue to this. At this point I am stuck on what I should be looking for with regards to what is stopping
the meeting invite updating for myself and the other person. Given I don't know what mechanism is involved with updating the Lync meeting invite on Outlook 2013 I am stumped. I am open to any suggestions someone might have as to what to do next or what might
be the cause of this problem.
    Nicholas,

    Hi Nicholas,
Can you compare your account with other’s and check if your account is applied any special policy in Lync Control Panel ?
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • Scehudling assistant causes Outlook 2013 crash when creating meeting with external attendee

    Good morning
I have a very annoying problem with Outlook 2013 that occurs when a user attempts to create a meeting, inviting and external attendee and uses the Scheduling Assistant to help them organise timings. We are running Exchange 2013 CU3 with no other versions
    of Exchange in our environment.
Everything works fine until the user attempts to use the Scheduling assistant, as soon as they do, Outlook promptly crashes. Using OWA, things seem to work as expected.
This is the error logged in event viewer:

Has anyone experienced this before and if so can you help me fix it please? Is this a bug with Outlook or Exchange? I am going to test the same scenario on a machine running Outlook 2010 to see if the same issue still persists.

Open Outlook with /safe command (Or hold Ctrl key when open Outlook) starts Outlook without the Reading Pane or toolbar customizations. Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off. To narrow down the cause,
you can also try /safe:1 and /safe:3 commands.
/safe:1   Starts Outlook with the Reading Pane off.
/safe:3   Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off.
To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type outlook.exe /safe:1
    and press Enter.
In addition, you can refer to the steps in this article to troubleshoot issue that Outlook does not crash when you start it in safe mode. See the "Step 6: Start Outlook in safe mode" section:

Please let me know the result.

  • Outlook 2013 - Meeting Organizer

We have a VP that will accept meeting invites and then becomes the organizer of the meeting. After the VP accepts the meeting invite, she appears as the organizer in her Outlook, on her iPhone, and on her assistant's Outlook (who has delegate rights). Meetings accepted by her assistant on her behalf will also change the VP to the organizer.  It does not happen to every meeting invite she accepts, only some. We're running Exchange 2010 and everyone on staff has Outlook 2013. Any ideas or suggestions to look into are greatly appreciated.

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to change the Organizer of a Meeting in Outlook 2013, please follow these steps: -
You will have to cancel and recreate the meeting.

    In
Outlook, at the bottom left of the screen, click Calendar.
    From the
Home tab, at the top left of the screen, click

New Meeting from the drop down menu.
A new window appears. From the
    Meeting tab, select Scheduling Assistant.
    There are
multiple ways to add attendees to your meeting request.
    You may add as many
people’s names as you wish. Note that every time you add a person’s name, you will be able to see when they are free and when they are busy.
To classify attendance, click the arrow to the right of the icon next to the attendee’s name, and select e desired classification. Attendee classification are taken
into account by the Suggested Times.
Some rooms on the campus are available for reservation, and therefore have their own calendars. To reserve one of these rooms, click
    Add Rooms.
At the bottom of the screen, you can set the start and end dates and times. To
change the date, click the calendar icon and select the appropriate date. To

  • Recieveing "OnUCAppointmentGetVisible" error in Outlook 2013 (64 bit) - "Custom UI Runtime Error in Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013"

    Hi All,
I originally posted this in the MS Support forums (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/recieveing-onucappointmentgetvisible-error-in/1a40eca2-8cd1-40f1-a92f-cb08f0af6b72), but was directed over here.
I have recently upgraded an installation of Office 2010 to 2013 (both 64 bit) but am now receiving an error which says:
Window Title - "Custom UI Runtime Error in Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013"
An error occured while calling the callback: "OnUCAppointmentGetVisible"
This seem to happen when I initially open a calender entry, and when I close the entry (most only the first time I close the entry).
I did have some developer tools installed for Office 2010 and VS 2010 which played around with Excel,2013 but I have now uninstalled these.
In addition, BCM 2010 was installed (but for the time being has been uninstalled), but I don't think that is the culprit.
The issue is being caused be an Outlook add-in. I have three COM add-in enabled, but the one causing the issue in the "Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013".
We are currently trialling Lync in a demo installation which is in a different domain to any of the Exchange accounts, but should this cause a problem? For the time being I have disable this add-in.
    Regards,
    Chris
    Chris

    Hi,
Sorry for my misunderstanding. If the issue is determined to be caused by Lync Meeting Add-in, please remove this add-in from Outlook, then go to Control Panel to repair Office 2013 program. After repairing,
this add-in would be automatically reinstalled. Please check whether the issue persists. About how to repair Office programs, please refer to:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/repair-office-programs-HA010357402.aspx
If the Lync Meeting Add-in is not automatically reinstalled, please try to manually add this add-in by the following steps:
    1. Starting Outlook 2013 as an Administrator (right click, run as Admin).
    2. Click File > Options > Add-ins, Manage Com Add-Ins Go... > Add..., C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\UCAddin.dll, OK.
    3. Close Outlook and start it as a normal user.

    Hi Will,
If the issue only happens to one user, please check whether the issue happens in Outlook Online mode. If the issue doesn’t happen in Online mode, please create a new Outlook Profile to check whether the issue persists.
If the issue persists in Online mode, please setup this problematic user’s account in another worked Outlook client machine, then check whether the issue can be reproduced.
Please start your problematic Outlook client in safe mode to have a try.

  • Outlook 2013 Quick Print not working for HTML attachments.

I have to print multiple orders that are received as attached HTML files (Sometimes 20+ attachments).  In Outlook 2007 (On XP) this worked fine I could print the email with attachments and everything would be waiting for me in the printer.
I just got a  new computer running windows 7 and Outlook 2013 and I can no longer print the attachments.
I printed through File, Print, Printer Options, Print Attached Files - Email prints, no attachments.
I tested with an attached DOCX and PDF - Both print the email and attachment.
Quick Print HTML attachment - Nothing Prints.
Open Attachment in Internet Explorer - Prints fine.
Changed Default Program for HTML files to Firefox and tested quick Print - Nothing Prints
Changed Default Program for HTML files to Word and test quick Print - Prompts for program to use when opening (for every attachment), I choose Word, it opens but does not print.
I've been searching for anything else to try but I'm running out of ideas  Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

To resolved this issue i tried below trouble shooting:
    1) Repair MS office 2013
    2)Uninstall and install office 2013
3)Rename the Outlprnt file  to Outlprnt old  from C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\
    4) 2 times Re install printer drivers
    5) Creat new outlook profile
if you Unable to print from Outlook 2013 without receiving the "Printer not ready" message (32/64 Win 7 Pro).
This changed worked for us, by selecting the Advanced properties on the printer and changing the default setting "Start printing immediately" to "Start printing after last page spooled".
I hope it works for you, good luck in your quest!
