Meeting Place 8.0 Web interface login issue

Dear Team,
I have tried to reset mpxadmin password using root on server so that i can login into webinterface for Meeting Place administration but its not working thrugh server web browser and system browser. i have followed below link to reset the mpxadmin.

Error- user does not exist or password incorrect.

What I know you can just connect to the servers ip address/DNS name and you will just see a status page like the one attached
There in not much more you can do on the node via web, all configuration is done via the CLI

We have puublished an Excel template as an HTML page to allow (web only users) access to a menuing system and have subsequent access to their individual reports in PDF format. The menu page comes up without errors but I encounter the error "You don't have access" when clicking on a menu option (cells within template). The cells contain an Excel Hyperlink function in conjunction with a EVBNV function to launch this report. (No BPC or excel errors exist within template)
We have created a virtual directory for BPC application in addition to Reports and ReportServer for Reporting Services. We have modified the Site Settings and Folder Setttings in Reporting Services configuration to allow web users to correct role access.Users can access Reporting services Report url without a problem but the web interface does not want to launch/retrieve a pdf file. We have the correct BPC task capabilities and task profiles assigned, insuring they can access and use the content library.

Cisco ISE Web interface Login

Hi,
Can anyone help me in resetting the Cisco ISE web interface password. I'm able to login to CLI of ISE but couldnt use the same credentials to login to web interface. Is there any way to reset this web interface password through ISE CLI?

Daniel,
Just ran across your question, the answer is you can have login credentials for the cli but that is seperate from the gui. The way I understand it is once you get to the gui for the first time user is admin and password is cisco. At this point you are required to put in a new password. Once in the gui other users can be created for the gui.

Not able to access meeting place 6.0 through Web browser

Getting errors regarding database in eventviewer.

Also, if you reset the "sa" password in Microsoft SQL Server, you will want to reset it in MeetingPlace. Do this by going to the desktop of the Web Server(s), then double click on the orange door on the bottom right, click on the Web Conferencing tab, and re-entering the "sa" password for both the Database Connection and the Slave Database Connection if both are showing.
Then you may need to restart the "Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing" service.
If this still does not work, you can open a SQL Server tool such as Enterprise Manager or Query Analyzer and try to connect to the SQL server using the "sa" credentials.

I can no longer login to my router web interface from Safari on iPad.

I made a mistake today. After accidentally opening up the web interface login screen to my router in Safari, I just pressed cancel in the login box. Since then, Safari just hangs on 192.168.0.1 when I want to access the router and the login box no longer appears. I can still login via the Terra browser on the same iPad. I would really appreciate any guidance as to how to undo whatever setting I have changed. I have tried clearing cache/cookies/history. Thanks.
Edit: Could I have refused a permission to access in some way? I am now wondering if in my haste, I may have mistaken a permission box for the login box. Is there somewhere in the settings I could check if I have refused a permission? Thanks again.

Serial Number on web interface

Is there a place on the web interface to find the Serial Number? I have over 50 of the newer devices at remote sites that I have to manage and need to get an inventory without human intervention at the sites.

That has all the information I used to eventually get the MP WebEx integration to work for us.
If you have problems you may struggle to get a good answer from Cisco on this, unfortunately there is very little knowledge of WebEx within Cisco TAC, something they badly need to address.

Meeting Place Express 2.1.1.2 Web Access Issue

Hello all,
I'am having an issue with a Meeting Place Express 2.1.1.2 server. There was a power failure and now we can still access the server via dial-in but the web acess is not working. From the CLI i run the mpx_sys status command and it says webservices is active. The server has been restarted. When I check the errorlog I see "unable to connect to webservices, trying again" Anyone know what the issue might be? Thanks

If that doesnt work, you will need to open a TAC case and TAC will send you a password recovery .iso file to burn on a CD/DVD.

Meeting place web interface java problem

Hi,
we have meeting place 5.3 in our network. When users want to log in to a meeting, internet explorer does not open the meeting place screen in some of the pc's, due to java issues possibly. Is there a known work-around for this?
ps. latest java runtime environment is installed on the machines.

There are no known major issues when using MeetingPlace with IE. Did u try restarting?

ISE web login Issue.

     Here is the scenario.My ISE is a vmare version,and works normal,now here comes an issue, my computer can't login the ISE web interface.
The other computer can login the ISE web interface.
     I think it maybe the cert's issue,cause when I login the web interface,the website give me the vmare's cert, but I think It should be my AD's cert.
     Any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

There is the problem in the browser you are using. So please remove all the pre added certificate from your browser and try to connect to ISE using HTTPS. ISE will issue a certificate to you. Add this certificate and you will get the GUI of ISE.
(Remove certificate from browser: tools --> options --> content --> certificates --> remove then restart it.)

N1SM 1.3.3 Web Interface Issues

I have installed N1SM 1.3.3 , Linux version on a RHEL 4 U4 AS.
The installation process is completed and the web interface has started.
The issue right now is : I do not see either the Service provisioning system
or the N1 System Manager in the web interface.
All I get is the error "You Do Not Have Access to Any Application
No application is registered with this Sun Java(TM) Web Console, or you have no rights to use any applications that are registered".
I tried adding the application using wcadmin command and enabled it as well with no luck.
Please guide me with this last step of installation process.

Thank you so much. It really helped to get me the N1SM integrated into the web interface and i was able to login.
Can I get your help on couple of things I have as issues now.
1) When I click on the "SUN N1 system manager" link in the web console, it throws the error saying
"Access Denied.
Unknown User.
This user is not registered with the N1 System Manager. Contact your Security Administrator to request addition of the user to the N1 System Manager."
In the /var/log/messages, I see the message
"Sun Java(TM) Web Console[13336]: User root successfully authenticated to the console"
"pam_access[13935]: access denied for user `root' from `(null)'
2) If I use n1sh, I get the error "Lost connection to command line service"
I have restarted n1sminit with no luck.
If you are familiar with the solution for these two issues, could you please let me know .

Issue related Cisco Unified meeting Place recording

Need help to resolve this issue
One of our user reported Wher he start listen his recorded meeting first 11:50 minute is empty after that recording start.
So my question is Why first 11:50 minute is empty (or dead space) of recorded meeting.
Meeting place system version is 7.1.2

Hi Anand,
For MP 8.5 new setup, you don't need a web server. Web server is an optional component only when you are upgrading the system from earlier MP releases.
If you are installing Webex node, it needs to be on a seperate MCS server (however, this is an optional component).
Application server and Express Media Server require only one UCS server if this is single node deployment.

Meeting place issue- no audio- intermittent issue

Hi Friends,
I have a weird issue in my meeting place setup,
version=8.x, running in UCS, and it is Hardware Media Server(Audio Blades)
The issue is meeting goes to silent mode(No audio) all of sudden and it will automatically recover in 2 or 3 minutes.
During the silent time, nobody will be able to hear anything, complete silence.
My setup is like this
Internal:- IP phone--> CUCM--> Meeting place with HMS(Hardware Media Server)
External: Office--> PSTN cloud--> voice gateway(PRI terminated) with DSP's--> CUCM--> Meeting place with HMS(Hardware Media Server)
Please let me know anybody faced similar issue or any suggestions to go forward.

Hi Vinay,
Accessing or playback of recordings requires a Web Scheduling server to manage and convert the recording from the Application server. This is not possible with just an applicaiton server alone.

Time issue while scheduling meeting in meeting place 8.0

Dear Team,
I am very new to Meeting Place system. Here we have version 8.0 and i am facing below issue.
While scheduling meeting when i have mentioned start time as 13.30 and end after 30 min.
but the issue is user can join the meeting before 13.30 and thats is security issue
i would like to know how to restict this. my requiremnt is user can only join before 10 min.

Hi Hari,
Is you MeetingPlace 8.0 integrated with WebEx, or it is an Audio Only solution?
If you are scheduling meetings in Audio Only solution, you can specify "Early meeting start (minutes)" variable in System Configuration > Meeting Configuration.
If you have WebEx integration and WebEx scheduling, you would need to specify a default "Join before host", but every host would have to configure that for their own profile.
