Meeting Workspace Page Customizations

I am attempting to customize the layout of the default "Multi-Page" Meeting Workspace. In the past (SP2007) I was able to go in and simply customize the page from the site definition. I can customize the page in Advanced Edit Mode,
however whenever I do, I can no longer reopen that page using SPD. The page will render fine in the browser, and any Web-Part Zone that was added is available. I should note that I have tried something as simple as adding a table row below the
default layout and get the same behavior. Can someone please explain why this is happening and what alternatives that are out there to achieve the results that I want?

According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you edit the default page of Multi-Page Meeting Workspace site.
Did you connect SharePoint site with the site’s FQDN in SharePoint Designer?
If yes, please make sure that the SharePoint Designer 2010 access to your site collection via the collection's FQDN is enabled.
I recommend to edit the public URLs in Central Administration and enter the FQDN for the site collection.

Cannot create a Sharepoint meeting workspace in a Outlook 2010 meeting request

I am using Sharepoint 2010 and Outlook 2010. I am trying to create a meeting request and also create a sharepoint workspace attach to that meeting request in Outlook.
First I click Create button and then it would let me choose a location for the workspace server in a drop-down box. I chose "other...". After I input my sharepoint site URL in the Workspace Server, Outlook does not recognize the address and a windows
popup saying "The operation could not be completed because of a problem found on the server or the server could not be found."
I checked the thread below and it doesn't solve my problem at all.
There is no reason why this should not be working. I also created a meeting workspace in sharepoint, and can't even link it to an outlook meeting request when pasting the direct link from the browser.
Did Microsoft break this and forget (or not care) to tell anyone?

I've quoted the solution and you can try if this fits your scenario:
The issue with Outlook not being able to find a Meeting Workspace is usually due to authentication not being passed correctly. Adding Trusted Sites information to Internet Explorer lets the browser know to allow the authentication to pass.
Open Internet Explorer
Go to: Internet Options -> Security -> Local Intranet -> Sites -> Advanced
Add: *.sharepoint.com , *.microsoftonline.com , *.lync.com , *.outlook.com
Click Save
Then go to Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Sites
Add: https://*.sharepoint.com ,
https://*.microsoftonline.com ,
https://*.lync.com ,
https://*.outlook.com
Click Save
Close Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer
Goto login.microsoftonline.com and sign in, make sure "keep me signed in" is checked.
Go back to outlook and the meeting workspace button will work now.
Note Since you are using Sharepoint 2010, in the example above it's SharePoint Online, the URL you need to add is your own SharePoint Site URL. Also login your own page as you should not be using login.microsoftonline.com.

How to create separate Meeting Workspaces and attendees of the meetings from subsequent Meeting Workspaces and it's Attendees

Hello Community
    I created an "objective" and "Agenda" in a Meeting Workspace and added
"Attendees".
    Later on I created another "objective" and "Agenda" in a Meeting Workspace
but, the "objective/Agenda" and Attendees from the last "objective/Agenda" remain visible.
    The question is how do you create an objective/Agenda and apply the
attendees that will attend that "Meeting Workspace" and then later create
another "objective/Agenda" and enter the "Attendees" to that new Meeting Workspace?
    Note: Another way to ask the question is how do you separate and save
each Meeting Workspace its "objective/Agenda" and its attendees subsequent
objective/Agenda and its attendees so that you can see each individual meeting
and the attendees of that meeting?

We could create/link to a meeting workspace when we create a calendar event as I posted above, we could also create a meeting workspace without creating an event.

Selecting a Meeting Workspace in a Sub Site

Hi all,
I have created a bunch of Meeting Workspaces in a subsite of my SharePoint site (i.e., http://domain/team/workspace) and I was wondering how to create an Event in a Calendar located on the root site and select one of the meeting workspaces in the subsite.
At the moment it seems to only allow existing workspace selection within the scope of the current site. Is what I am asking even possible?
I understand that it may not be possible out of box, but could be achievable with some customization so I am wondering if anyone knows how or can at least point me in a direction with some ideas of how I can get this to work?

I had to convert a bmp to jpg so you could see the Meeting Workspace but whats happening is that in this
Decision Workspace you click "New Item" and give the meeting a name then under "Attendees" you click the
Checkbox and you enter the name of the people are to appear at the meeting lastly there are there is the Subject
and if you have any related documents relating to the meeting.
The problem is that when you want to schedule a subsequent meeting sometime in the future, the same
names information appears on the meeting Workspace. So the question how do you save the old information
regarding the meeting and clear it so that you can enter the information related to the new meeting and the
people who are going to be attendees to that meeting?

Show Meeting WorkSpace Calendar in another WorkSpace

Hi,
At my organization, we have an area for Meeting Workspaces.
Within the Meeting WorkSpace, a user has created a list for a Calendar. Within this list, there is a Calendar called Governors Key Dates.
The Meeting WorkSpace has a number of Meeting WorkSpace lists. A large number of these lists needs to be able to display the "Governors Key Dates" calendar. I can easily create a hyperlink to the calendar but the user would like the actual calendar
showing as a web part (or similar) in a number of lists.
Do you guys have any ideas of how I can go about achieving this? I have tried manipulating the content web part to no avail.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to show the calendar list in the Meeting Workspace.
I recommend to use the Event Calendar Listing Web Part (SharePoint 2010) to display the calendar list in the Meeting Workspace.

Hi All,
I need some info on how to create a custom meeting workspace in sharepoint 2010. In our organization we are not having the default template available for meeting workspace 2010.
Can some one guide me how to create a meeting workspace template and deploy it across a site?

Meeting workspace issues

I have created a meeting workspace from a recurring calendar event in Sharepoint 2013. Everything seems to be working; however, when I enter the workspace and try to click on a different date in the left navigation, I get a "404 not found" and
that's it.
When I navigate to each individual date directly from its event on the calendar, everything works fine, but when I try to navigate between dates the issue occurs.
I've realized that this problem stems from an incorrect URL - when I click on a different date, the word "undefined" appears in the URL, rather than "default". If you change the words, the link works correctly.
Why could I be getting this error, and how can I resolve it? Thank you very much!

Open the meeting workspace in SharePoint Designer, click on “Master Pages” and open the custom master page (MWSDefault..). Click on “Edit File” and look for the following “Meetings” tag prefix. If it’s not there, add the following line:
<%@ Register Tagprefix="Meetings" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.Meetings" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %>
Also add the following line directly after the the opening <body> tag:

Save the master page and try again.

Transferring Calendar with Meeting WorkSpace

I have asked to transfer a meeting workspace with the calendar to another collection site. When I transferred the calendar & meeting workspace - I got no issue but when I click "Go to Calendar", it didn't go back to the calendar that I transferred,
it went back to a different calendar link.
E.g.
old calendar link: intranet.test.com/sites/project/calendar.aspx
New link: sharepoint.test.com/sites/project/paperless/calendar.aspx
when click "Go to Calendar" on meeting workspace, it goes to: sharepoint.test.com/sites/project/calendar.aspx
Anything I missed out when I migrated it?

Meeting workspace was created due to the Calendar event with "use a meeting workspace to organize attendees, agendas, documents,..." and since it is a recurring event, it auto created the dates in the workspace.
I tried saving the calendar via template including its content and when I click the workspace link for date, it showing page cannot be displayed. I also import the meeting workspace however (1.)it does not link to the calendar (2.)it empty.

Calendar Recurring meeting Meeting workspace link disappears

I established a recurring meeting, and set the parameter to establish
a meeting workspace for each meeting. Prior to editing the meeting,
the meeting workspace link appears on the meeting properties page
(linked through the calendar.) Once I edit the meeting notes, the
link disappears, however if I go into "edit" it then reappears.
I also changed the date on one of the recurring meetings to be the correct date since the
user changed the date for that meeting. An interesting thing happened. On the calendar webpart
the link is shown below.
dispform.aspx?id=3
If I clicked into the calendar and highlighted the same meeting the link is this:
dispform.aspx?id=3.1.1
I cannot figure out why it is showing on one and not the other when the fields selected in
the view are the same. The 3.1.1 link show the meeting workspace link, the link with just the 3
does not. Is this a bug? Did I do something wrong?
Sharepoint is not integrated with Outlook.
I am using WSS 3 with SP2 on a Windows 2003 server.

I have the same issue with similar symptoms, and wonder if there is any update. We are using SharePoint 2010. We have a meeting recurrence set up with a meeting workspace, and the calendar is sync'ed to SharePoint. One of the meeting dates changed, so I
used Outlook to update the meeting time:
> the meeting workspace updated and shows the correct date
> the "ID" number shows "ID=10" on the calendar web part, and "ID=10.1.8" on the actual calendar view (this is the same as the original post say "3" on one view and "3.1.1" on another view.
> Some users are able to see the hyperlink to the Meeting Workspace from both the Web Part and the Calendar views, while other users are unable to see the link from the Web Part view. In other words, clicking on the Meeting link in a calendar web part
opens a page with all the meeting information, except the "Workspace" row is simply blank where the link should be.

>> my boss who has the same level permissions does not have the problem in either IE or Chrome.

So, this issue seems to be tied to the changing a meeting date after the recurrence and workspaces are both created. It may also be tied to permissions or browser version/settings. I agree with the "answer" in that accessing the information from
the calendar view seems to work OK for all users in all browsers. I wanted to post this to track that the issue is not happening for all users, which suggests that there are other factors involved. I looked at this using 5 different profiles, and found only
2 (one internal user and one external user) experiencing the problem. So, I question why this works OK for 60% of users, but not the other 40%. It makes me think that this could be fixed through a setting, either in the browser or the user profile. The "answer"
was also provided ~6 years ago, so I wondered if there was updated information at this time.

Workspace page in not loading in EPM 11.1.1.3 on windows 2003 server

Workspace page is not loading , means i'm not able to see the admin, password and log on tab on page
i'm able to open planning through url , EAS console and shared services consol working fine
i'm installed EPM 11.1.1.3 on Windows server and configured it successfully.

If you want to enable the meeting workspace template in SharePoint 2013, we can set the
hidden attribute to false in the webtemp.xml file.

Changing background colour for a new Workspace page

I want to create a new Workspace Page. When i create a new page in the workspace, the colour is white. How can i change the background colour?

This forum is for workspace manager - a database product that has no UI itself. I'm not sure what product you are using, but it's not WM.

2007 Meeting Workspace move via content and structure not working

We are trying to move several meeting workspaces from a 5th level sub-site to a 2nd level site within the same site collection. We know regular sites at the same or different level can be moved, but for some reason the meeting workspaces won't move.
Publishing feature is activated on the destination, and we have moved test sibling sites into different sibling sites. Error we keep getting is:
'Site in question' cannot be moved or copied into itself or one of its subsites
Are there special permissions needed above site collection admin? My farm admin is having better success than I am at moving things within the site collection for these workspaces.

Looks like you just need to be patient! ~=^)
1. Move modal comes up
2. select destination
3. *** wait for modal window to post back
4. then you can click "OK" to move the actual sites

How to make a field as required in Page customization

Hi,
Please help me as how can i make a field on Master agreement as required Field in Page customizations.
I am able to hide the same field, but, I am not able to make it as a required field.

Hello Janaki,
Goto page customization under User Interface in System Setup. Once you are there click the Object Name in the page customization list.
1) Click Edit -> Click add button and click pencil icon just in front of newly created entry. In the Field ID field give the Field ID value per the UI View from the RG (Resource Guide).
2) Select Property from the drop down as "Required".
3) Select Yes radio option under the Value. and click ok and then click save.
Thats it. It should make your field as required field.

Logon Page Customization in SAP Portal 7.31

Hi Experts,
I am planning to change the look and feel of the Logon Page for Portal.
The current page is already a customized one.
For making the changes, I requested and got the following files.
1. tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war from <drive>:\\usr\\sap\\<SID>\\J00\\j2ee\\cluster\\apps\\sap.com\\com.sap.security.core.logon\\servlet_jsp\\logon_ui_resources\\tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war
and
2. tc~sec~ume~logon~logic_api.jar from drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.logon\servlet_jsp\logon_app\root\WEB-INF\lib
The below is the screen shot of nwa/auth properties.
The file which was sent to me and the properties look like, standard logon module only.
I am not sure if the file is the custom one. How to find if its customized. In the layout folder, I couldn't fine any images in the current custom logon page.
I don't have access for deploying the ear. I have to send to the Server team and they only will be able to deploy.
Kindly advise me on how to proceed with.

if your are modifying a existing custom logon page first you will be requring the source code of that custom logon page ,Get it and import it in NWDS and follow the steps mentioned in standard help.
if source code is not available ask your server team to provide the custom logon page EAR file ,reverse engineer it by importing the EAR in NWDS and modify it as per your requirement and following the steps mentioned in help.
to know if you are modifying the correct EAR go to application.xml and check what is the application alias mentioned over there same will be configured in NWA under alias for application for login
as per your screenshot its mentioned as /new_logon
<context-root>new_logon</context-root>
Also check the J2EE engine .xml and check if you have your client name mentioned as company name.
Other check you can do id check images in the war file if those are present which are appearing on logon page when open,you can right click on image on opened portal logon page and get its name check in NWDS imported project war file if those images are present.you can do other chaecks in rendered code as per your customization to confirm if you are modiftyinfg the correct logon page ear or war file.
i guess if you dont have any the previous custom ear it might be under your provider location and application alias folder location not sure of it though :
<Installation drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\<providername>\com.sap.security.core.logon
\servlet_jsp\new_logon\tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war
you can ask your server team if they found any war file in folder <provider name> or application alias folder or how many war file they found if they search with tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war file ,aks them to give the one which is situated in your <client/provider.com > folder.
