MEGA 651 - need a part for it

hi, just got a second hand MEGA 651 and noticed that the clip to hold the cpu cooler inplace is broken, how would i go about getting a replacement? Its one of the black thingys that are screwed down, i havent been able to test it yet but it looks like my cpu wont be compatable due to the fact i have got a P4 3.2ghz prescott.

I need some parts for my MuVo V00, can anyone help I couldn't find any thread this would belong in, but if I've made a mistake, I'm sorry.
I have a Creative Labs MuVo V00 2 gig player. I love it. The only problem is that the back peice of plastic that holds the battery in somehow has fallen off and has disappeared. I really, really, would like to replace it, but I can't find anywhere where parts like this are sold.
So, does anyone know where I can buy this part Or does anyone have one they are willing to sell me If I have to get the whole little "docking bay" that holds the batery and the unit, that would be fine too. I'm not going to pay huge money for it, seeing that I can still get a new one at a few places, but if anyone has one that broke, or that they just aren't using, and wouldn't mind making a few bucks + postage, I would really appreciate it.

I was just irritated that I asked for help, and got some glib little reply, telling me something that anyone who's been on the internet for more than ten seconds should know about. Because to be honest, him replying with those three words, might have made someone overlook the post, thinking, "Someone is handling that, let's move on." Someone who actually might have what I needed.
But, as it turns out, I could order a reconditioned MuVo from Creative directly for about 6 bucks. (vs. 45+ if I'd gone through ebay) so the problem is resolved. If I could figure out a way to erase this entire post, I would do it. If you can do so, being a mod, I would appreciate it.

Mega 651 need value of 3 resistors to repair

Help Please. If some kind soul could please help me I could repair My Mega 651. This unit has virtually no hours on it. The heat sink clips broke off and the heatsink damaged 1 cap and 3 resistors. Have replaced heatsink and cap but do not know values of resistors. The resistors are located just behind the integrated circuit chip just to the rear of the memory sockets. If someone could post the values written on R313, R315, and R318 I would be forever grateful. This unit has been setting for a year and now I have a need to get it functional again. Thanks in advance.

Need a part for a Desk Jet 550C, dont know what it is, but i have a picture

im trying to find a replacement part for my old Desk Jet 550C
i think its called a cap, and prevents the cartridge from drying out.

there are reccessed spaces for 1 rectangular cap on the left (for the black cartridge) and 1 square cap on the right (for the color cartridge)
they are made out of some kind of a rubbery material. i have the cap for the color cartridge, but it is removed currently as i have just washed all the old ink out of it and its still drying.

took me about 2 or 3 minutes to safely and carefully get the printer taken apart, at which point i found the missing 'cap'
here is a picture of them both, but the left cap is brittle, and still needs to be replaced if at all possible. (left cap is for the black ink cartridge, right cap is for the color cartridge; both cartridges rest atop these caps to seal the cartridges whenever they are not actively printing on a page)

I am mailing from India. I bought HP dv7 series laptop from USA 2 years back. At present, the laptop is starting. I approached HP India but they didnot help. You have not given me any information I can use to help you. Your post is telling me the laptop is a dv2700 from the dv6 series, which makes no sense since those are two different models. And you have given me two different part numbers for the thing you need replaced, neither of which is an HP Part number. What I need to know is what kind of part it is. Is it the power jack module where the power supply plugs in, which connects to the motherboard on a little cable with a connector? Or is it a chip soldered to the motherboard? If the latter I cannot help. If the former all I can do is probably point you to a seller who will ship internationally, but right now I have no idea what to tell you to order.

Mega 651 need help!!

It appears I have a problem with the power. The stereo works fine, I can change cd's and all. When I try to turn on the computer, nothing happens except that the hdd-led is on all the time. I cannot turn it off again without pulling out the power cable. The cpu-fan does not start, it is not possible to open the cd-rom, the hd does not start spinning... What's wrong?? Broken PSU or MB?

The manual For the 180 says that if the components for the computer part of the machine are not present when you press the PC power button of the case, the HI-fi will stop functioning and nothing will happen, resulting in having to pull out the power. It sounds like you may have some incorrectly fitted components, or damaged ones. I’m also pretty sure the same thing would happen with your Mega box, since the same idea applies. Check you haven’t crushed your CPU; Miss fitted your Memory or something similar.

Mega 651:Why not 1 single receiver for all ?

I have a Mega 651 with Celron 2,6 Ghz. proc. in it.
Also Maxtor 120 Gb harddisk 7200 rpm.
I use the internal Sis VGA card.
With 512 DDR 2 ram
Included is 1 IR transmitter (gris color).
I bought also a MSI TV @nywhere Master card. With IR transmitter and IR receiving eye included.
Why am I NOT able to use the internal IR receiver eye that is build in the Mega 651 for controlling my TV from Intervideo MSIPVS??
Why do I need to place the add. IR receiver eye. The one that comes with my TV tuner card?
Is there no way I can control my TV with my IR control from my Mega 651 and with the INTERNAL IR eye in my Mega PC?
Pretty stupid.

Need to replace HD on a Mega 651, which screws should I remove?

The HD needs replacing , when I take the top of I see the HD, but there are so many screws.
The Manual doesn't help here. I want to replace the drive with minimum hassle.
What direction should I work from and what screws should I remove ?

Here's the steps to follow if your printer isn't turning on.
If you've gone through all those steps and you still don't have power, there are a lot of places that sell a replacement cord and supply for that printer.

There is only one file to download - which one depends on your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
These are the trial versions but will convert to the full version when you supply your serial number.

Different heatsink/fan for MEGA 651?

I'm new here so go easy on me. I did search but found little info. I'm looking for a different/better heatsink for a MEGA 651. I know there is a problem finding a retension clip that fits.....but I found an older socket 7 heatsink that fits/works. It's all-copper with a 60mm fan on top blowing down. But I'd like something better/bigger. I have removed both drive cages, so I have some extra space for a taller heatsink.
Is anyone using a heatsink other than the stock aluminum model?

Heatsink for Mega 651

I got my hands on a 2:nd hand MSI Mega 651, which I want to complete as soon as possible. Only one problem. It came without any CPU heatsink. What kind of fittings is this? Specific for the Mega´s? The spacing of the holes look a lot like the Xeon standard. Is it the same? If not, where could I purchase a new heatsink? I can´t seem to get any here in Sweden.
Another question is if the 651 would work OK with a 3.06Ghz and a ti4600? Or would it be to much heat for a barebone?

the heatsink is a custom design for this barebones. you should try and contact the person you bought it off, it should have been supplied with it
check the cpu support list, mega 651 only supports P4 up to 533FSB (not prescott at all), celeron to 400fsb, read my mega 651 sticky above
if your seller cannot give you the heatsink, then you might try your local MSI office to see if they can

T430u need the part number for the Sata cable

I have a t430u where the Sata cable is broken, i need the part number, I have searched around, called lenovo support (they said it was under warrenty, the say it was a bad hard drive and want $600 to replace a board) I know it is the Sata cable that clearly has 2 broken wires. how do i know, if i hold the two loose wires to the posts, the machine boots and runs, but it is way too small to solder. any help would be appreciated.
t430u, and it is the mini-sata on one end an a right angled non-sata end. I don't have a picture until i get the laptop returned from IBM.
