Having subscribed to calls to Russia, can not reach Megafon numbers ("The number you have dialed is currently not serviced" message; the numbers are, in fact, active and reachable without Skype). No problem with MTS.

The same story. Cannot reach my relatives. Now thinking of canceling my subscription.

Impossible to use iPhone 4s with Megafon Russia carrier

I've bought iPhone 4s in Apple Store Amsterdam, SIM-free, which is confirmed by Apple support.
I can activate it with SIM cards from a number of mobile operators like T-Mobile (UK), MTS (Russia), but it doesn't work at all with neither SIM card of my own carrir Megafon (Russia). ICCID of Megafon cards are 18 symbols. ICCID of MTS is 20 and T-Mobile has 19 digits. It was impossible to unlock neither with 5.0.1 (default firmware) nor with 5.1 which I have now.
Apple Support view: during activation they see ICCID in "wrong" format which has letter 'F' inside, so they say that "Device may be damaged, blah-blah-blah"
Megafon Support view: all Megafon SIM cards have 18 digit ICCID, according to standard the missing digits are replaced with letter 'F'. All iPhone 4s sold in Russia through Megafon carrier are activatable.
So basically I'm stuck since neither party accepts a responsibility for this problem.

That means they are not authorized or certified by Apple to carry or service the iPhone. If you choose to use an iPhone on thier network, it may or may not function properly. If it does not, Apple can not help you. You will need to take it up with the carrier.
MTS and Beeline are the only supported carriers in Russia according to this document: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937

Sending SMS to Megafon Russia - Issue

Over couple of days I did sent multiple SMS messages to number (+7 926 xxx-xxxx) on Megafon Russia network, been charged for all SMS's with status "delivered", nothing has been received according to the recipients in Russia. Support, please credit my account, verify and fix the issue. Thanks.

К сожалению, SMS не удалось отправить. Everything was working yesterday, I would get this error message occasionally, but today SMS messages are not delivered at all, please help!
С сегодняшнего дня невозможно отправить SMS на любой номер в России. Изпользую Skype на iPhone. Всегда появляется сообщение " Сбой. К сожалению, SMS не удалось отправить". Пытался отправлять на разные номера - +7985*******, +7499*******. На эти номера смски раньше отправлялись без проблем.

Sorry, but I disagree. It is not the OEM's responsibility to check nor confirm any such thing. it is up to the seller and the buyer, in a private party personal transaction, to ensure that both are satisfied with the terms and conditions of the sale and the item.
You buy a used personal item as is from someone, and it is just that, as is. The responsibility is solely on the two parties making the exchange to ensure that both have gotten what they wanted out of the deal.
No company is going to get involved in any such private party sales or exchanges of items - in the USA at least, it would be a legal minefield for them, if nothing else. Private/personal property sales are just that, private and personal.

Multiple service failures iPhone5c via beeline, russia carrier

Hello!
I replaced my micro-sim for nano-sim at my carrier's office (beeline (Russia)), though my iPhone 5c and my carriers sim had 4g capabilities, my phone won't work.
When im on cellular only, safary says Unable to activate cell' network, you are not subscribed for cell' network service.
When i try to turn on tethering, iphone says to contact my carrier to turn it on for my account.
And final problem: i can't send any message, nor recieve one, but i can phone though incoming calls won't show caller id.
Today i changed my sim for Megafon carrier and it worked nice.
I thought, that my sim was broken and replaced it at my carrier's office again, but it didn't help.
I know that it's my carrier's fault, but maybe someone know any way to bypass my issues.

На данный момент якобы идёт тестирование наших сетей, и если они будут соответствовать требованиям компании Apple, то LTE включат в следующей прошивке iOS 7.0.4
Но этого может и не произойти...

MTS Russia LTE issue

Hi!
I have MTS Russia sim-card with LTE support.
If i use this sim-card in iphone 5S RU - LTE works great. I see LTE enable option in Settings -> Cellular
If i triy to install sim-card in iphone 6 RU - LTE option is not available! If i try to install in iphone 6 RU sim-card from another operator like Megafon - LTE option is enable and work.
Also, i tried to check for updates in iTunes (latest version). iTunes said to me that "you need to update career settings..." and i press "Update". iTunes after give me message that all is up to date and ok. If i after disconnect iphone 6 from PC or MAC and connect again in iTunes i see again message about "update carrier settings". I press "update" - all is ok. And each time then start itunes on PC or MAC i always see this "carrier settings update".
MTS Russia said me that "we have LTE support for all needed bands. but i think that they lie: )
What i can do to update carrier settings correctly to see LTE option?
I already tried to restore to factory defaults, reset network settings.
May be somebody give me .ipcc for MTS Russia ios8 download link?

IMessage activated, but does not work! Russia!

I live in Russia, Moscow. My operator is Megafon.
Few days earlier, I bought the iPhone 4S, not Jail.
iMessage was activated and work good, but yesterday, suddenly, at 11-12 AM iMessage stopped working. Although, one or two hours earlier it worked fine!
I restarted iMessage and he is turn on and activate, but sms button does not become blue!
That is strange, that my friend is also have a iPhone 4S and his operator is also Megafon, but his iPhone sends and receives blue IMessage!
Why did is happend? And what i can doing for this?
The problem appeared in 6.1.2 and left on 6.1.3

I dont know what you mean with officially sold and I hope you will buy notebook in PC store and not on the street. As far as I know every new notebook has one year international warranty but if you will stay longer you can buy warranty extension. It must be buying by authorized service partner in your country.
If you have troubles in Australia go to service partner and they will check if the unit is stolen or official soled. After that it can be repaired. As I said, contact Authorized Toshiba service partner in Russia and ask for warranty extension.

The hole you are describing is known. There are certain teams working on it. So far, we do not have any public statement or ETA for the fix. None of the moderators are in a position to provide a fix for this problem.
The best thing I can suggest is to ask CS to escalate it. If they refuse, ask to escalate again and again, until they do this.

You have been mislead. Other users report that what you have been told by the Hack is not true. The apps will appear to have disappeared, but if you try to update an app at first the MAS will appear to be selling you the app, but if you continue, as if to buy the app, the MAS will realize that you previously purchased the app and download it for free. Contact Sprint to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Only the wireless carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.

Need power converter/plug adapter for trip to Russia

A family member will be in Moscow, Russia for a few weeks, later this month. I've already talked to AT&T about the cost of using the phone, SMS and the data network (it ain't cheap!). However, our REAL concern is how to charge the iPhone 3G while in Moscow.
Can someone recommend some converter/adapter devices that will suffice for the trip? I know nothing about how Russia's electric power differs from the US.

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.
