Memory-Based Snapshot Main Process for Transportation Planning getting erro

Hi All,
I have created a Plan in Transportation Planning module and asigned a facility to that plan then i did launch plan, then the program 'Launch Transportation Planning Process' running successfully but with that program Memory-Based Snapshot Main Process for Transportation Planning running and error outing.
the completion text is:
The executable file /u04/NRVIS/apps/apps_st/appl/mst/12.0.0/bin/MSTSNWRK for this concurrent program cannot be executed.
Contact your system administrator or support representative.
Verify that the execution path to the executable file
i have verified the path but there is only have '/u04/NRVIS/apps/apps_st/appl/mst/12.0.0' but no /bin/MSTSNWRK file
can anyone tell me what has to be there actually, is MSTSNWRK file missed?
thanks
vijay

Thanks for your suggestions. I finally able to resolve this issue.
- I'd relink all MSC and MSO exe files. No error found. Still not unable to launch Memory-Based Snapshot.
- I'd turned on all possible debug, trace, etc to see any possible reasons for the failure. But no help at all.
I almost created a TAR (which will need to run numerous useless checkings, talking to some clueless people, and waiting for weeks for doing nothing) and I found out I forgot to check one place - Windows Event Log. Bingo - I found the error and it's because of DLL unmatched (typical Microsoft DLL hell issue).
Using Dependent Walker to see the linking of the MSC exe file, and then I pinpointed which version of MS C++ libraries were missed. Installed the latest MS VS2005 and 2008 redistributable libraries, relinked MSC exe files again, and FINALLY it's fixed.
I need to talk to the DBA who prepare this clone to me....

  • Unable to start Memory-Based Snapshot

    Hi all
I run into a problem that I'd been trying to fix it for 2 days. I am implementing and testing the an ASCP instance. I'd finished the Standard Collection, reviewed the collected data and everything is fine. I'd defined an unconstrained plan and launched this plan. The request "Launch Supply Chain Planning Process" completed and then "Memory-Based Snapshot" started. It failed immediately and give the following errors:

    - Run adadmin to make sure not invalid objects in the database

Can anyone tell me whether it is data issue, setting issue, hardware issue, or anything else ? Thanks.

  • How to monitor memory usage of "Memory-based Snapshot" executable (MRCNSP)  in Linux?

We have noticed in the past that MRCNSP/Memory-based Snapshot program executable consumes around 3.8 GB of memory on the linux VM. I understand that value change planning  is 32 bit executable so 4 GB is the limit. I want to monitor the memory usage of the executable when the program runs. The program usually runs overnight. I wanted to check with you experts if you have any MRP executable memory usage monitoring script that I could use.
I found the metalink note OS Environment and Compile Settings for Value Chain and MRP/Supply Chain Planning Applications (Doc ID 1085614.1) which talks about "top -d60 >>$HOME/top.txt". Please share your ideas for monitoring this process.
We do not use Demand Planning or Demanta or Advanced Supply Chain Planning which are 64 bit application. That is our future direction.
    Environment:
EBS : R12.1.2 on Linux. The concurrent manager is on 64 bit linux VM, web services on 32 bit VMs.
DB: Oracle DB 11.2.0.3 on HP UX Itanium 11.31. Single database instance.
    Thanks

RAM on the controller is not the same as the C: drive. With respect to the controller, you can think of it in the same terms as your computer. RAM is volatile memory and your C: drive is non volatile flash memory.
Depending on the frequency of the temperature excursions above and below your 70C threshold, the service life of the controller and the method you used to append to the file, there could be a number of issues that may creep up over time.
The first, and the one you brought up is the size of the file over time. Left unchecked this file could grow continuously until the system literally runs out of flash memory space and chokes. Depending on how your are appending data to this file, you could also use more than a trivial slice of processor time to read and write this big file on disk. While I have not personally ever run one of the RT controllers out of "disk space", I can't imagine that any good could come of that.
One thought is to keep a rolling history of say the last 3 months. Each month, start a new file and append your data to it during the course of the month. Each time a new file is created, delete the data file from something like 3 months ago. This will ensure that you will always have the last 3 months of history on the system, however the monthly deletion of the oldest data file will limit you to say 3 files at whatever size they happen to be. Unless there are hundreds of thousands of transitions above and below your threshold this should keep you in good shape.
I also eluded to the method you use to write to this file. I would ensure that you are appending data using the actual file functions and not first reading in the file, appending your data as a string then writing the entire file contents back to disk. In addition to causing the highest load on the file system this method also has the largest system RAM requirements.

  • Standard message type to transfer data for transportation planning

    Hi,
We would like to develop a interface that would transfer the following data from SAP to another system (called Vista).
"(Past) Receivings and requirements shall be considered in the transportation planning. Transfer the requirement information from the ERP system to Vista for the transportation planning."
Is there any standard message type (or any other std solution) in SAP that can transfer this data from SAP to legacy system(Vista)?
In general how does one identify for any given requirement, if there exists a standard message type (standard solution) of transffering data from or to an SAP system

  • Process for Transport

    Hi Gurus,
We have one Netweaver system in which we have done considerable work. Now due to some issues, we need to configure Netweaver on another machine. on BI front I have to transport all the work on old server to new one. But , I am new to Transport. So, can you guide me for the Process I should follow for configuring both system, establishing transport routes and create request, import request etc.? I have gone through lots of material which was not useful. Please provide pointer to any forum discussion or help topic.
    Thanks,

    Hi Harpal,
It is a basis activity to configure the transport route between systems, not usually done by BW people. Have you checked with your basis team?

  • Transaction for Output for transportation planning simil VF31 o Vl71?

    Dear Expert,
Anyone knows if there are a transaction or a program to run, wich trigger the message wich are in status 3. in the Transport planification (O4F1)?. simil vf31 or VL71?.
    I will appreciate your help.
    Best Regards,

    Hi Ravi,
If the despatch time was 4 earlier, it is not possible to change to 1 as the output is arleady processed. Hence there can be a case that your assumption of the output being at 4 initially is incorrect.
Please go to the table NAST. Check how many records are there for the output for your problamatic documents. If there are morethan one record in NAST, then may be the latest one has 1 as the DT while the oldest one will be 4.

Enter condition type FB00 that is freight condition type, which is used as standard in the shipping cost pricing procedure.
Enter the price and save it
    Process:
    1. The system determines the pricing procedure for the shipment cost item-using transportation planning point, service agent and shipment cost item category
    2. Calculation Basis
    3. Condition Record
    4. Access sequence.
For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.

You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue

  • Java Processes for Planning Applications

    Hi There,
We've experienced performance issues where we have reached the limit of the java process for Hyperion Planning - WAS element. My question! Is it possible to create multiple java processes for Hyperion Planning, for example: If we have 7 Planning applications could we have 7 Java processes running - one for each application?
    Thanks
    Mark

    Couple of thoughts on scaling:
    1. Change the mx setting to 1200m -- this is the most you can scale a single instance on 32-bit
    2. Use a 64-bit platform you can set memory settings really high (AIX/Solaris)
    3. Multiple servers with planning on it using a load balancer

  • Shipping Point VS transportation planning point

    Hello Gurus,
Could you please the answer the following questions?
What is the different between shipping point and transportation planning point?
Where is the transportation planning point assigned to?
Why exactly we require the shipping documents in the business perspective?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavan P.

    Hi Pavan,
The transportation planning point consists of a group of employees responsible for organizing transportation activities. Each shipment is assigned to a specific transportation planning point for transportation planning and shipment completion. You must define the various transportation planning points used in your organization in Customizing for Corporate Structure before they can be used to perform transportation functions. You can define this organizational unit according to your company’s needs, for example, according to geographical location or mode of transport.
The transportation planning point is assigned to a company code, but is otherwise independent of other organizational units.
The shipping point can be proposed automatically during order processing depending on the plant, loading group and shipping condition.
A shipping point has an address.
The shipping point is used as a selection criterion for lists of deliveries and the work list deliveries.
The shipping point is used as a selection criterion for processing deliveries like printing, picking or goods issue.
    Reward points if u helpful
    Cheers,
    Govind.
