Memory card  eject  SDXC

New to Macbook pro and apple products, so lots of questions.  How do I eject my memory card fromthe SDXC card slot on my computer if it doesn't show up under devices in Finder.  There probably are a few ways to do this???

In Finder you should see the card on the left under Devices, click the triangle with a line under it next to the name of the card. You can also right click it and choose Eject "Name of the card"

  • Memory card keeps ejecting itself

    Dear Apple experts,
I have had an iMac with OS x 10.6.7 for a year now and for the last 2 weeks, whenever I connect a memory stick pro duo via a memory card reader, the card keeps ejecting itself every few seconds and an error message comes up "disk drive not ejected properly.
I have tried changing the cable, the memory card and the reader but the problem persists.
    Please could you advise?
    Many thanks.

try reformatting the card using your camera
    and restart your computer

  • IPhoto ejected my memory card mid import but is saying that there is still an import in progress.  I can't close the program or shutdown my computer.

I was trying to import some photos (probably close to 300) and iphoto ejected my memory card in the middle of that process.  The photos have not been imported, and now I can't close iPhoto, or even shut down my computer (macbook pro) because it keeps saying that Iphoto is cancelling restarts.  I've tried to close the program but it doesn't seem to be working.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get iphoto to shut down mid import?

    Apple menu ==> force quit

  • We are using iPhoto '09 trying to import photos from  a memory card.  We stopped the import and ejected the card over 20 hours ago, but iPhoto says its still importing.  Any idea how long the import should run if there were 5000 photos on the card?

Don't know how long it would take to import that many photos but if you stopped import and ejected the card ther is something else wrong here.
I would Force Quit iPhoto. Then Restart your mac. Then restart iphoto to see if any or all of your photos were imported. If they ae you're good to go. If they were not imported I would try importing fewer photos at a time and see what happens.

  • Dm4-1060us laptop SD Card Reader 5-in-1 question. Does it work with SDHC and SDXC memory cards?

dm4-1060us laptop SD Card Reader 5-in-1 question. Does it work with SDHC and SDXC memory cards?

This cart reader is a kind of multi card reader and you can use different cards with it. In my opinion every multi device should be used very, but very gently. I do not know what happened exactly in your case but maybe you have damaged something inside.
Try to restart your notebook and use other SD card to check if everything works well. Please do it very gently and if you see something is wrong stop with inserting the card.
I use 1 GB SD card on my A200 without any problems.
In my opinion you should check notebook by technician.
    Bye and good luck!

  • Does Lightroom 5 automatically eject the memory card once the photos are imported?

I use Macbook and ever since I installed Lightroom, the memory card no longer shows up under 'devices' in Finder, therefore I am unable to eject it.

How is it showing in LR. As a separate drive with green indicator or under Hard Disc Volumes folder?
If it shows under volumes you may need to choose to hide as a parent folder.
    See this link:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/elements-12-1-update-error.html
Otherwise how are you copying the images. To hard drive pictures or external hard drive?
You can set the prefs to automatically detect a camera memory card and in the import dialog choose auto-eject.
    See this video tutorial;

  • Memory card problem: automatically ejecting

    Hello!
I've just bought a 6220 Classic; sometimes (even e-4 times per week) when using the memory card (browsing the gallery, using GPS device, listening to music) the phone automatically ejects the memory card.
I'm thinking of an hardware problem; if so, do I have to  send my 6220 to the Nokia Assistance?
    Thanks in advance::

i second that, it is a hardware issue and take it to nokia care or use this link to get specific support in your region

  • Is this computer compatible with SDXC memory card?

DOES THE IMAC SUPPORT THE NEW SDXC MEMORY CARDS?

Which iMac and what version of OS X? If you are referring to the current iMac's the published Tech Spec's say:
    Connections and Expansion
SuperDrive, SDXC card slot, audio in, audio out, USB 2.0, FireWire 800, Mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet.

  • I have an iMac with OS X Mavericks installed. Can this system recognise SDXC (camera) memory cards?

Does OS Mavericks support SDXC memory cards?

No iMac PPC can install Mac OS X 10.9.2.    PPC refers to Macs made prior to 2006 when it comes to iMacs.  I've asked your post be moved to the correct forum.
Apple's article on SDXC is a bit ambiguous regarding Mac OS X compatibility, but does say the following iMacs are compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8 under Boot Camp:
    iMac (Mid 2011 and later)

  • What key do I press to eject my SD memory card?

What Key do I press to eject my SD memory card from my macBook Pro laptop? Thanks.

It does not eject like a CD/DVD does. You unmount the card from the system and then just pull it out. See:

  • Lion 10.7.3 Problem ejecting Memory card?

Just completed upgrade to !0.7.3 OS..unable to eject 4GB memory card by drag to trash....also problem moving icons out of dock?

If anything on the card is in use, you can't eject it. Make sure you've closed every file and Quit every application, if any, that is located on the card before trying to eject it.
Likewise, you can't remove from the Dock the icon of anything that is open. If you're trying to remove an application icon, Quit the app first. If you're trying to delete a file icon, close the file first.

  • N73 automatically ejects memory card

My N73 is the Hong Kong IE version and I bought it in January. The problem is that the memory card just randomly removes itself during normal usage, once i even noticed that everytime I press the '3' key it just removes itself. Is anyone else experiancing this? Also when you select 'remove memory card' in the options menu, is the card information i.e space left, card size etc suppose to dissapear? Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't on mine.Since then I have had to replace the motherboard 3 times and also the memory card. What is the problem? Maybe the wires connecting the motherboard to the keyboard are damaged?

This sounds like a hardware fault - I know of no software which does this.
One thing you can try is to eliminate the software problem (if it is that) is to reset the phone using the instructions you can find in this post :
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=4007
However please be aware that doing so will wipe ALL the data from your phone such as information in your calendar, contacts and so on.
In order to save your data you can use the PC Suite application to save and restore the data from your phone - this software can be found here :
    http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
If this doesn't work then it's likely you have a hardware fault and you should approach your local Nokia Service Centre to get your phone fixed.
    Hope this helps.
Please let me know how you get on.
    Regards,
    Edward

  • HP Envy Touchsmart 15-J104sa Memory Card Reader not working

I took delivery of an HP Envy Touchsmart 15-J104sa running Windows 8.1 this week and the internal memory card reader isn't working. It doesn't recognise any SD cards (I've tried more than one) and continues as if nothing has been inserted; showing no error messages. All of the cards work on my previous HP laptop. The only way to get the laptop to show an inserted SD card is to run the driver update software (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63415.exe) every time an SD card is inserted; this must be done with the card in the reader. If the software is run and then the card is inserted nothing happens. If the card is ejected and then re-inserted (or a new card inserted) it isn't recognised and the process has to be restarted and the driver reinstalled even though nothing has changed.
Can somebody please help me with this issue or I will have to return the laptop to HP. I do a lot of photography so being able to read an SD card quickly and reliably is extremely important for me; it's not a problem I expected from a brand new laptop straight out of the box.
    Thank you all.
    This question was solved.

Unfortunately non of the driver updates solved the problem but a BIOS update through the HP Support application seems to have remedied the issue. Whilst I appreciate there were no specific drivers available I find it hard to accept that HP should be able to release a model where they know the hardware will not be fully supported by the OS and in this case not function.
