Memory inefficiency due to 10 unbalanced layer checkouts 26:::248

Hey,
I have received this error twice upon closing After Effects and was wondering if it is anything to be worried about. What causes the error and how can I fix it?
"After Effects Warning:memory inefficiency due to 10 unbalanced layer checkouts 26::248" is the error box that comes up. I use CS5.5.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Here's something that might help.
In addition, 8 gigs isn't exactly a boatload of memory any more.  What happens if you turn multiprocessing off?
And it probably wouldn't hurt to take a look at this.

Check your file and folder permissions. Moving stuff around may invalidate old security tokens for user-specific folders. You may simply need to reclaim them and "Take Ownership" in the Security tab --> Advanced of your file properties dialog.

  • Memory corruption due to bad RAM in late 2012 iMac

I just unpacked a brand new late-2012 iMac a few days ago. Its specs are basically maxed out, only choice being the 3TB fusion drive. To summarize:
    3.4 GHz Core i7
    32GB RAM
    3TB Fusion Drive
    2GB NVidia
    Latest patches for Mountain Lion
Since I got it, I have been experiencing intermittent abnormalities with it. Programs randomly crash with error messages along the lines of "such and such file appears corrupt, please run --repair".
I do a lot of programming in my job and just today I started getting bizarre 'segmentation fault' messages in Terminal. What worked just a few minutes ago started crashing with a segfault. The exact same programs have no negative effect on my Macbook Pro and work just fine. In a matter of minutes, the entire iMac became unresponsive and I got the "we shut down your computer to prevent damage" panic screen.
After a reboot, I started thinking it could be some sort of memory corruption. I downloaded the 'memtest' utility and started the basic test with:
    memtest all 2
In just a few minutes, below are the results I receive (I re-ran multiple times to the same effect).
Any opinions on whether this is indeed bad RAM? How do I handle this with Apple support? Any suggestions/comments are most welcome.
    Thank you,
    Ozgun

This must be my last last thing.  AHT was on an iMac I bought in 2009.  It was included on my "disk 2" along with several other applications.  When I wiped and installed the full Lion, AHT was gone.  Same is true for the full Mountain Lion installation media.  It does not have AHT.  I'm not at all sure how to get it back from Apple.
I was able to find it on my SL disc 2 and extract it again from that.  Disc 2 won't install on Mountain Lion (the packages are too out of date) but the AHT pkg does.
Since you have it, consider packing it up and keeping it safe.  Maybe someone who knows AHT better than I can elaborate on AHT.  From what I've seen, you get it when your mac ships but if you ever wipe and reinstall the OS, you lose it.

  • Memory leak due high database operations

Our application is a network monitoring application , where we get lot of data from network every 2 minutes.
When we try process large amount data in our application we start seeing memory leak. But if we control data inflow rate , then our application works fine with no leak.
I am not able to profile our application with tools like Jprobe, as the profiler itself is running outofmemory even before I could reproduce the issue.
Mostly likely DB is not able to handle the data at the rate we would like it to handle. We are using MySql with C3P0.
I am not sure which objects are not getting garbage collected which is causing our application to run outofmemory since i am not able to profile the application.
Will appreciate if anyone can share their experiences in debugging such problems

We have added throttling mechanism to temporarily fix the problem. As I said before we get data every 2 mins from network. We have a data structure which is populated when we receive the data. So we count the numbers of rows in the data structure and once we reach the throttle we drop rest of the data. Throttle gets reset so that when data comes in next cycle we can again process it.
The problem is we are not able handle data at a higher rate. Most of the times data received from the network is within our throttle limit , so there are no issues. We were seeing issues only when receive burst of data. So if we fixed the issue temporarily by adding throttling.
I hope this clarifies your question

  • E63 - Memory Corrupted - Due to Device Lock / Remo...

I have a brand new Nokia E63 (same as E71). My memory card is suddenly corrupted, but I managed to fix it. I believe the source of the problem is the Remote Lock and the Device Lock of the unit.
The problem started after I enabled the Device Lock and Remote Lock of my E63 unit. After a couple of hours, I tried opening my apps in the memory card. To my surprise, it's corrupted! I didn't panic because I'm confident I could retrieve the contents of the card with a memory reader device. But when I inserted my memory card to my PC, the card is unreadable. I had a feeling that the card must had been badly corrupted. But how? I just got this unit almost a day ago. I didn't do anything odd. I'm an OOP-Design Patterns oriented programmer so I'm not newbie when it comes to best practices.
As I searched the web, I found that there are people who encountered the same exact problem. And their guess is also the Device Lock.
So what I did is I disabled the Remote Lock and the Device Lock feature. I checked my memory card and it's still corrupted!
I turn off my unit and turn it on again, but sadly it's still corrupted!
I removed the memory card while the unit is on and then reinserted the card, and it worked.
In summary, to solve this memory corrupted problem, try disabling the Remote Lock and Device Lock feature. To disable the Device Lock, revert the password to "12345" (Do not type the quotes). Remove the memory card (Use the remove memory card feature of your unit!). Re-insert the card to your unit and problem should be fixed.

i wonder if its a problem with this phone...i have faced a lot of problems with accessing data on the memory card...time & again the songs added to the music player list disappear...the applications that i installed on the memory card are also sometimes "invisible"...when i try installing them again, it says these already exist...
have formatted the memory card quite a few times now...
luckily for me i took the backup of the memory card (that came in the box) & phone on the very 1st day...
hence, every time i format the memory card, i copy the initial contents...
but its quite irritating & frustrating...1 nite i go to sleep after listening to songs, the next morning it shows no songs found...have to restart the phone 2-3 times to find them again...
is phone lock & device lock the same thing that you talking about? i have tried the phone lock but my memory card did not get corrupted...remote lock i have never tried...
    as for your queries sidy_porche,
    1) as per the specs mentioned on the site "Video recording file formats: .mp4, .3gp; codecs: H.263, MPEG-4 VSP" & "Video playback file formats: .Flash Lite 3, mp4, .3gp; codecs: H.263, MPEG-4 VSP" also "Video streaming: .3gp, mp4, .rm"
i think the specs that you mentioned for playback will be compatible...d  "640x480, 15fps, 3GP"
    2) 3GP videos are played...but its quite interesting...the phone plays some videos while says "file corrupt" for others of the same format...i had 2-3 video songs of mp4 format, they work absolutely fine...i then transferred some new mp4 videos & they simply wont play...
    3) it takes exactly 2 hours ( you can see it on the clock  ) to charge from 0 to 100%...which is quite good coz a 1500mah battery gets charged in 2 hours...i had a 6265 earlier which took around 2.5 hrs to 3 hrs to get charged with the charger that came in the box...using the adapter, ca44 or something, it got charged in 1.5 hours dot.
    4) ya the hearset has a mic...the best thing about this phone or rather one of the best thing is that it has a 3.5mm audio jack...you can insert any damn headphones (your fav ones) into it & enjoyyyyy...even speakers that you attach to your laptop/computer can be used...its awesome
    i hope it helps

  • Memory leak due to http-basic-authn ?

I reproduced the problem with the example/servlets/SessionServlet class. The http client (non-UI) creates session on every request and also passes in userid-password for http-basic authentication.
Please note that we do NOT configure any authentication in weblogic deployment descriptors.
With memory profiler OptimizeIt, I see the leak in the hashtable authUsers. The entry in the hashtable was created with:
    weblogic.servlet.internal.HttpServer.setAuthUser().
The AuthenticatedUser object was created with:
    weblogic.security.acl.ClusterRealm.certify().
It seems to me that Weblogic is trying to do the authentication by just see'ing userid-password in the Http headers. Even though when we want to do the authentication inside our application.
I have the profiler snapshot but I do not know how to send the attachment in this posting. Let me know if I can email it to some address.
    Thanks

    - and email stopped working properly: e.g. I deleted emails, closed the mail app and after opening it the same emails where there, unread.
I tried everything: soft reboot, hard reboot, reinstalling factory settings and putting back apps one by one, as a habit delete all open apps regularly, and I checked all possible settings which are known for battery drain. Apple support and the cell-phone store all said it was probably a hardware problem, and I had to send in my iphone/buy a new battery/...: costs: lots of euros.
But I could'nt believe it was a hardware problem, so keeped on looking for the problem.
Finally I found it. I deleted my exhange account and installed it again and : what a releive: all worked well again!!! Battery life back to 2 days, apps don't crass, email works properly.
All keeped on going very well during 3 weeks.
Than battery and email problems slowly started to appear again. Like last time, it gets slowly worse.
When I open the mail app, the little turning wheel icon next to the battery percentage is turning continously. When I delete the Echange account and only use my Gmail and Hotmail account, that little wheel icon only turns up for a few seconds, but with the Exchange account installed it stays there continuously.
I reinstalled Echange many times but it does not solve it. The strange thing is that when I go to Settings > Email > Accounts-Exchange > "delete this account" it starts but does not finish, the message saying that the account is being deleted stays on forever.
On this forum pages I saw one comparable problem description (https://discussions.apple.com/message/11852079?searchText=iphone%20memory%20drai n%20exchange#11852079). In their case the problem was the Exchange server. But my collegues with iphones do not have the same problem and also: how could it be the cause if it worked well for 1 year, and lately for 3 weeks, and then suddenly start giving problems.
Anybody have a idea what I could do?
    Many thanks in advance!

I too seem to be having a similar issue with my wifi on my new 3GS. I would notice that my wave bars are full and then would drop to half. Performance seems to be about the same, but this never happened in my home with my original iphone.
What works to fix the issue, is turn off the wifi in settings and then turn it right back on. Boom, back to full wave bars. However once I go out of range and then return, the problem seems to reappear.
I'm a bit stumped and may do the same with seeing the friends at the apple store.

  • Memory leak due to MediaProvider

    Hello,
I am using jmc to create my own media player. I found that, when creating a new JMediaPane instance for opening and playing a new medium, the old instance is not deleted by the garbage collection, although it is not used and referenced anymore. The reason for this seems to be a still running thread in the class MediaProvider.
This behavior also occurs when using javafx and changing the media of a mediaplayer.
Has anyone any idea on how to solve this problem and how to build a (jmc-based) media player which reliably allows to open and play new media?
    Thanks in advance!

  • AE CC Memory Error Upon Close?

Ever since installing the CC version I get the following error each time I quite the app.
After Effects warning: memory inefficiency due to 821 unbalanced layer checkouts
    (26::248)
    Anyone else having similar issues?
    Win7 Pro 64
    32GB RAM
    Nvidia GeForce NTX 560

    Ok great.  Thank you.
As the message gives no hint as to which script or plugin might be causing the issue, I'm going to have to wait for updates to occur as their developers make them.  Surely they're all scrambling to gett CC ready versions.  Personally, I don't have time to reach out to several dozen developers and audit their versions lol.  So long as it's not breaking anything in the meantime. :-)

  • Cannot Migrate VM due to "not enough memory"

I have two hosts in a cluster and they are listed in my VMM. I'm trying to perform a migration from VMM but I keep getting the stupid error below. I tried setting the "host reserve" to 0GB of memory and I still get the error. The error pops up
for both VM's even though they both have plenty of memory. I do not understand why this thing seems to think that there is not enough memory available.
"Not enough memory available due to the host reserve at level: Warning Reserve Level. Total memory at this reserve level for use by existing and new virtual machines is 0 MB. At the time of evaluation, the remaining memory was 0 MB and the amount requested
by this virtual machine was 820 MB. "

    Hi Vincent,
which version of SCVMM are you running? Which OS is running on your hosts?
Have you applied the most recent updates for
    Hyper-V and
    Failovercluster ?
    Also you should apply
    UR 2 vor SCVMM 2012 R2 or
    UR 6 for SCVMM 2012 SP1
    Greetings

  • Low Memory.

After setting for Mail for Exchange, my Nokia E7 phone shows low memory.
I checked C Memory & there are only important files & that too of small sizes. All major Applications are installed in Mass Memory only.
Is “Low Memory” issue due to Mail for Exchange? If so, is it possible to transfer / change the data of Mail Exchange to Mass Memory instead of Phone Memory? How?
    Appreciate all the help.

I had this problem in my Nokia E72, hope its relevant.
    go to office>file manager>phone memory>logs>eng>ods
are there multiple files. click on options select all and delete. if the no of files is quite large it will take a very long time to delete. or you can select 30-40 files and delete and then check the space. if the free space increases then you need to delete all.
    also try updating your firmware.

  • Memory upgrade on Satellite Pro L40-15d

    Hi
I have Satellite Pro L40-15d with 512 memory (Samsung) but I wont upgrade to 1GB. I have Kingston ktt667d2/1g I have tray to put in to both slots but nothing work I cant switch on computer.
But when I change for old one laptop is ok. What can I do? Install special program or update BIOS or maybe the memory stick is broken.
    Regards

    Hi
    The notebook doesnt boot after the memory upgrade due to these different issues;
    - memory modules are not compatible together
    - memory modules are not compatible with the notebook
    - memory modules are faulty
    - one of memory slots is faulty
In most case the memory module replacement helps.
One hint; did you try to switch the memory modules in the slots? Sometimes this helps.
Several weeks ago I have updated my memory and the notebook didnt boot.
I thought its a memory malfunction but after module switching the notebook booted correctly.
    Good luck

  • Memory Leak in Report after upgrading from Crystal Reports 10.5 to 13.0.1/2

I'm currently having an issue with crystal reports 13 (Visual Studio 2010), We have recently updated our CRM Solution to use the newer crystal reports runtime as we are now using Visual Studio 2010,
We have a client who has a report which contains a sub report which basically contains a Image pulled from a MSSQL Database as a BLOB Image Field which is basically scanned images relating to the report, Previously the report worked fine before the Client Updated our CRM Solution to the latest version, Now for each individual page which has the scanned image the application is swallowing 100 MB of ram, as there are around 32 of these scanned images and our solution is a 32 bit application we are getting out of memory errors due to the whole 2GB addressable to a 32 bit process limitation,
The images are around 4MP and stored in JPG format in the database so should not be consuming over 100mb of ram per image displayed by the report even if they are being stored uncompressed in RGBA Format,
Likewise when viewing the pages of the report manually after a specific page (when the amount of memory addressable by a 32 bit application gets hit) the images just don't display and then any pages with the image are not being displayed and not giving an error / exception.
I have tried re-saving the .rpt files to cause them to be in the newer crystal reports format and this is still happening, likewise I have tried un-installing the 13.0.1 and installing the 13.0.2 runtime.
I am just about to check SQL which pulls the image for the sub report, although I am sure for each sub report it should only be pulling one row with one jpeg image in case the sub report is holding quite a few images but only displaying the first.
Likewise If all else fails I will try re-creating the report as I have experienced issues with some other specific reports doing strange things after being updated from the 2008 runtime which I really am not liking the idea of due to how fiddly crystal reports can be, It is good and does the job but takes far longer than some other solutions to get what you are trying to achieve done.
This report had been working fine for 2+ years before the client updated to the most recent version of our CRM Software.
Has anyone else experienced simular issues with the latest runtime.

I have just been reviewing the code for this and it appears that the sub report is pulling all of the images,
It is strange that previously this was working fine seems like the newer runtime does not dispose of the data once it has been displayed on a sub report which would explain memory leak as it will call the select again pulling approx 60 images which are probably approx 8 - 900KB plus sub report + uncompressed image to display and then filtering.
I am about to modify this report and will post if fix i put in place resolves the issue.

    We have the following issue:
We have a jar file which should be opened with double click. Our application needs a custom memory settings due to high amount of memory need.
Could we set this in the manifest.mf?
We read some resouces which tell that this is not possible, however the resources are not new. Was there any changes in the specification of the manifest file?
