Memory setting for weblogic startup file in windows xp

Hi,
I want to change memory setting parameters for weblogic server 8.1 because I am using 128MB memory only.
I found some information edit the startWeblogic.cmd file and change the memory parameters with - x option.
but practically I didn't find the -x option in that file. Please tell me how can I change the memory parameters for weblogic server.
Sorry, I dont know whether it is related to this forum or not.

I have Apache running on two Linux web servers (dell2 and dell3)
and WLS running on two Linux app servers (dell5 and dell6).
I can also run Apache on two Sun/Solaris web servers (sun2 and
sun3). I have the AcceptBacklog parameter set to 100 on each
WLS Server. There is no problem when I drive the WLS servers
through mod_wl.so running on the Sun servers. The CONNECTION_REFUSED is only seen
when I try to drive them through
mod_wl.so on the Apache/Linux systems.
What is the ap_proxy.cpp file referenced in the error message?
It doesn't appear to be part of the Apache source code yet I
can see references to various ap_proxy functions.

What is the best heap memory setting for JBoss?

I am running a Windows 2003 server and JBoss is running as service. The current heap configurations is 1024, but I am having some problems with the service failing. What is the optimal heap memory setting? Thank you,

There is no optimal memory setting for LiveCycle.
It depends on the components you have chosen to deploy. If Content Services ES2 is deployed, your heap size settings should be about 2 GB, otherwise 1.0 - 1.7 GB might suffice.

You can change your setting from weblogic.properties file.
It should be under your ....../weblogic directory.

What is the mp4 setting for GoPro mp4 files?

Hi all,
I have edited GoPro mp4 1080-60 files that I want to upload to youtube.
Since it's consider the best for youtube, I want to keep the mp4 format. So I'm using AVCHD MP4-H.264 1920x1080 as output selection which appears to be a no brainer, but youtube rejects the file apparently, since the will only play at 380, max rez.
It's not really working. I thought it would be pretty straight forward as Gopro has to be very popular device.
What is the optimal mp4 setting for GoPro mp4 files?

It happens to all of us. We can upload our HD footage (example AVCHD/MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080p30) to YouTube, but
YouTube converts the video to a flash format and displays it in its default viewing setting which is not HD, typically
480p or less.
So, you or your viewer is going to have to set the viewing setting to HD before viewing your work in order to get
decent display quality.

Failure of ACL setting for CIFS share resource on Windows client logined with administrator account

Hi,
We accounter a puzzle of ACL setting for a CIFS share resource. In our application, we use the
administrator account to login a Windows 7 OS which is used as the CIFS client. We can access the share resource by "\\server_ip" on this CIFS client, but we can't add
a new ACE to the ACL of a CIFS share resource provided by a CIFS server.
Why dose this hanppen? Note that the CIFS server maybe a Windows OS or a self-developed CIFS server.
The operation details as followed:
1.Access the share resource by "\\server_ip", login the CIFS server by a valid account on the CIFS server.
2.On the Windows client, select the "Security" panel in the mouse-right-button properties dialog of a cifs share resource.
3.To add a new ACE for someone eg. user0, we input "user0" in the "Select Users ans Groups" dialog popped up.
4.Click OK, but the Windows client will not get the user information for user0 from the CIFS server.
WHY?
5.By wireshare network trace, we find the Windows client didn't send any SAMR requests to the CIFS server.
6.Restart the Windows client OS and login again with another account except administrator, carry out the above operations. We find that the Windows client can get the user information, opposite with the step 4 above.
WHY?
7.By wireshare network trace, we find that the Windows client has sent SAMR requests to the CIFS server to get user informations. But that is different from step 5, WHY?
If the Windows client OS is login with administrator account, is there any configuration on Windows client to decide whether request user information on CIFS server when setting ACL for CIFS share resource?

It depends on what you need.
It's possible to use:
-winscp
But that means using a program to drag and drop files. This is most commonly used.
-setup samba on the unix system (the samba package/software needs to available for your unix)
This requires some setup on the unix system, and your windows system (connect the unix system and put a share defined on the unix system to a driveletter on your windows system), but lets you easily make a batchfile which copies data from one windows drive to another. A batchfile can be scheduled using 'at'.

Enable Diagnostics for WebLogic Startup

I am using the Integrated WLS within JDeveloper Studio 11.1.1.5.
I am trying to diagnose a problem where the WLS is deploying an application at startup that is failing. I would like to get low level diagnostics during startup to enable me to debug the problem. Currently I am only seeing the stack that throws the error which is not sufficient.
Currently only 'Warning' and 'Notice' level statements are being written to the log files/console.
I have tried the following none of which have affected the level of messages displayed in the log files/console:
1) Add additional debugging Java options to the ADF Fusion Applications project I am starting the WLS from under 'Project Properties --> Run/Debug/Profile --> Launch Settings --> Java Options'. I have tried adding various WLS debug switches which have had no effect i.e. '-Dweblogic.debug.DebugDeployment=true -Dweblogic.debug.DebugDeploy=true'
2) Add debugging Java options above to Integrated WLS Launch Settings under 'Application Server Properties --> Launch Settings --> Java Options'.
3) Added debugging Java options above directly to startWebLogic.cmd script.
4) Enable all weblogic debug flags from the WLS console under 'Summary of Servers >DefaultServer >Summary of Servers >DefaultServer>Debug'.
5) Changed WLS startup scripts to enable environment variable 'debugFlag'. This results in the JAVA_DEBUG variable being set to '-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=%DEBUG_PORT%,server=y,suspend=n -Djava.compiler=NONE'.
5) Set the log level to FINEST for all 'weblogic*' classes in the Oracle Diagnostic Logging Configuration.
Surely there's a simple way of getting more diagnostics out of WebLogic during the startup phase?

Hi,
It seems you did lot of things here but missed to make server logging in debug mode. As you have already enabled debuggers from admin console now go to servers > logging and change server logging to debug for all. This will help print the debug statements too.
For diagnostic you can enable it from admin console, but remember logging will be done in WLDF archive files that can be read using WLST only using WLST command - exportDiagnosticDataFromServer.

Unable to locate a default player for iTunes audio files in Windows Vista

I previously owned a Compaq and saved my music in an external storage and worked perfectly. I then purchased a HP with Windows Vista and now am having problems with iTunes. The new computer indicates that iTunes has detected that is not the default player for audio files. It gives me a selection of file extensions, "iTunes music database files", "iTunes music store URL", "M3U Audio Playlist", "MPED4 Audio Files", and others in Windows Media Player. Which one should I select? Thanks

I created a config file (which is very handy in deployment and debuggin) that contains the class name and other additional parameters that is available in the optionsMap inside the LoginModule.
My Config file looks like :

offcourse, the jar files in the classpath.
When i Create a LoginContext and call its login() method, Everything works fine.
you might wanna try this way and very important you need to specify all permission.
if you are running under Security manager , try switcing on the debug option as -Djava.security.debug=access.failure that should give a hint on where the problem is.

File preview thumbnails aren't working for Acrobat DC files in Windows Explorer

I just upgraded from Acrobat XI to Acrobat DC on Windows 7, and now any new PDFs I create display with a generic PDF icon rather than a thumbnail preview of the file. Files created in Acrobat XI are displaying correctly (see screenshot). Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a resolution?

Choose your language from the appropriate subdirectory.
Other platforms are available higher up in the directory structure.
If running Windows, it helps to reboot your computer after removing Acrobat DC to remove any remaining files.
After reinstalling Adobe XI or Adobe Reader XI, you can restore your PDF thumbnails by going to File->Open and viewing the selected directory contents. Thumbnails will be recreated as you view them in the list. You don't actually have to open any file. To view the thumbnails in Explorer or on the Desktop, you may have to refresh the display (F5 or Ctrl-F5 or right-click, Refresh).

Global Setting for *NOT* DELETING files in iTunes?

Hi Everyone-
Why is the default setting in iTunes to delete podcasts once listened to? There are many episodes I want to retain.
I would like the control to delete stuff when I want, and not at the whim of iTunes.
Can you explain how to set the program to NOT DELETE as a default? Or do I have to seek another client-AGAIN?

Go to Podcasts > My Podcasts then at the top right select Episode List from the view options. Second button in at the lower right should be the default Settings... button. I'd still go through the individual podcasts to make sure they haven't picked up autodelete options from elsewhere/when.
I'd recommend you go to Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Sync podcast subscriptions and settings. This feature appears to have cause problems for others, myself included, when settings from an iOS device override those in iTunes.
See also Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy. Having a full backup means you can restore your library when something goes wrong.
