Memory speed after update BIOS

Hello,
I update my BIOS today and I don't have sure that my RAM memory works propertly.
When I run CPU-Z in "SPD" tab I see that my RAM works with 533Mhz.
There should be maybe 677Mhz ?
Sorry for my bad English.

That's the problem, I don't.
So, someone can download and run CPU-Z and check yours worth of DRAM Frequency (in memory bookmark) or in SPD bookmark. There should be write in Max Bandwidth (533Mhz for example)
Look at this photo http://www.notebookcheck.pl/uploads/pics/CPU_NB550D_5_03.jpg
I have Kingston RAM 4GB 1066Mhz. (KVR1066D3S7/4G)

My tablet turned black screen and couldn't do anything after updating bios provided by official hp page. I know that there is a way to enter into bios recovery, but my tablet doesn't have keyboard. Please provide me the solution.

    Hey,
I am having the same problem, I was updating my bios.. followed all directions which is necessary to update them.
And then when it was almost ready it said "Bios update is not responding" so I waited... and waited because I did not want to abort it but then Vista aborted it for me.
Well at first it did not seem to be a problem but then I noticed that I could not click anything (was still in windows @ that time did not reboot yet) then I wanted to reboot but nothing worked.. Pressing off button for a time to shut down did not work.. So eventually power was out. And it shut down.
So I hooked it up again but nothing happened. Pressing the "on" button made it start.. The DVD-drive loaded for a second but... that is it just a black screen :S
Going to bring it back to the shop tomorrow.

    - wincrisis with USB bootable stick and BIOS extracted from BIOS update utility from support.lenovo
    - different combinations of keys such as : FN + B / F / R +/- win key
What should I do next except finding a hammer ?

Can not access BIOS after update X220 BIOS to version 1.19

Ask google and try anyway but not work
    - Press ThinkVantage, Press F1, Press Fn+F1
    - Power off, unplug AC, unplug battery, wait 15 miniute, try all again
    - Try to update BIOS again

    That is really weird.
When you are in Windows, can you test and see if the F1 key is working? If it is working. Shut down the laptop then boot it back up. At the Thinkpad screen, keep spamming the F1 key and see if you are able to boot into BIOS.

  • HP mini 100e error after updating BIOS

HP MINI 100E model no: A1C35AA. error 104-unsupported wireless network device halt remove the device and restart after upadting the BIOS. when i remove the wireless card it works well. Kindly advise on a way to resolve this issue.

    Hey celticnomad,
I'm sorry for the delayed response. HP doesn't have an official presence on the forum. It is designed to be P2P but I (we = the entire community) do try to get to as many questions as possible. I'll be glad to help in any way I can
Do you have the notebook mentioned in the title, an HP Mini 100e? If not, which model/product number do you have? Pressing the FN + ESC keys is the quickest way to bring up that information or you can check out these steps to find your model/product number. You can also get your current BIOS version from FN + ESC. Your current BIOS version would be helpful as well. Alternative steps to find BIOS version if FN + ESC doesn't work.
Have you made any hardware changes? Would you happen to know if this issue occurred right after a BIOS update?

    >>Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<<
A.) Download the linked archive:  >>https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=184264.0;attach=13927<< and place it on your desktop. Do not decompress.
B.) Download and install the Forum flash tool.
C.) Insert your FAT32 formatted usb stick.
D.) Make sure that all win 8 options are disabled. (Fast Boot etc) Also make sure the legacy USB is enabled.
E.) Start the forum flash tool and select option 1. Then point the tool at the compressed archive we downloaded earlier. Then to your USB Flash Drive.
F.) Boot to the USB from working bios.
G.) Once it booted successfully switch to the bad bios without powering down or rebooting
H.) Now follow the directions and let the tool flash the bad bios
I.) After flashing reinstall ME drivers in Windows: http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/intel_me10_mb.zip

  • HELP! Problem after updating BIOS of my Lenovo ideapad S10-3S

I'm hoping somebody will help me out of this nightmare. Cause i'm searching and searching across the net for an answer for this the whole day and i didn't find any accurate solutions for this.
Well to start, i just updated my laptop's BIOS two days ago because i just saw on lenovo's website that there is an update file for the BIOS and I rapidly DL it and installed as per instruction, it was running fine after that but i just noticed that the system start up and even shutdown takes centuries to finish. Then i turned it on sleep having the screen facedown to the keyboard, and noticeably the 4 indicator lights are still lighted up for approximately 5mins before the laptop totally turned to sleep mode. Then I turned it on at the evening and voila! It is not booting up to the log in screen, it just gives me a background wallpaper for the log in screen without the avatar box and password in put box. After the BIOS screen loads, it offers me two options:
    (1) Launch Startup Repair [recommended as it says]
    (2) Start windows normally
I tried both but still having the same result. And one option that i tried is to reformat the laptop instead because onekey recovery is also not a dependable solution. But lo and behold!!! It also stuck into a part where it says "starting up the setup".
I really don't know what to do now!!! Please Lenovo team help me! I'm kinda smash the screen here! Its just that BIOS update is the Major update in my laptop after 4yrs of purchase. Help!

    Hi buddy,
This stop code means you are using a wrong SATA controller driver. For XP installation you have to integrate the SATA driver before you can install XP. There are a lot of threads about this problem here in forum.
For Intel chipset you have to download Intel Storage Manager from official Toshiba website and follow the instructions here to reinstall Windows with correct SATA drivers:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm
Alternative follow the instructions posted by peterk_1. Setting IDE mode instead AHCI in BIOS will also help :)

  • Z77MA G45 problem after updating Bios to V1.9

Hi, recently I updated the bios for my motherboard to V1.9, and after that I keep having some problems. Firstly my board now won't start again after I have done changes in the BIOS unless I unplug the 24 pin power connector from the PSU and plug it in again.
Also now my PC will randomly crash saying my graphic driver is giving me a problem. Initially I thought it was my graphic card, but it still persists, even after updating the graphic drivers, and even changing cards. Heck, I even tried both nVidia and ATI, and both will crash the board randomly.
Any suggestions? like downgrading the Bios?
    Thank you

  • GT-70 2OD Touchpad Problem (disabling button) after updating BIOS and EC

    Hi All,
I was solving issues with random BSOD's (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=176615.0), but now I got the button that Disables the Touchpad malfunctioning.
I just updated BIOS and EC to 2014-01-17 Versions from MSI website.
The button is not disabling the touchpad and also the LED is not working (well, it used to turn on when the touchpad was disabled), however the "touchpad enabled" picture is showing on the screen everytime the button is pushed.
It's not a major thing, but you know how perfectionists are .... Any idea how to solve this? I'm just going to try updating the touchpad driver with latest from MSI website and let you know the result
    Thanks in advance,
PS: Nice community. I just joined this forum and I received a lot of help already!!!!

Quote from: darkhawk on 05-February-14, 01:00:21
Did you perform the EC Reset procedure outlined on the website?
    Just to reiterate it:
    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Remove the Battery.
    3. Remove the AC adapter.
    4. Let the laptop sit there for 20 minutes.
    5. Install the Battery.
    6. Install the AC adapter.
    7. Turn on the laptop.
This might help fix the issue.
Yep, I followed step by step to update the EC.
I just removed original synaptic driver for the touchpad and Installed latest from MSI website. The button doesn't work as before (I was able enable/disable at will), now its behavior is as follows (and I think it was made intelligently):
You can't disable the touchpad if no other pointing device is present
When another pointing device is present, the touchpad disables itself and the button LED is ON (as before). You can't enable the touchpad (before I was able to enable it) if another pointing device is present.
For me, it's OK. BTW... had been about 22 hours without BSOD...
    Thank you guys!!!
PS: I just realized that I re-connected my PS3 controller via USB (in the very same USB port that I use to connect it) and the laptop REINSTALLED drivers for it...

  • Memory speed after upgrade

I recently bought an 11,3 iMac with the Core i7 2,93Ghz CPU and 4GB of RAM.
The system profiler reported the RAM working at 1333MHz which is right.
I then bought another 2x2GB modules with the same specifications (DDR3 1333MHz), but after installing the memory, the System Profiler reports all RAM modules working at 1067MHz.
Did anyone else experience this or could it be that System Profiler is just reporting the wrong speed?
How can I be sure of what is really happening?
    Thanks in advance.

    Update:
I tried to boot the system with the new modules installed only. System Profiler reported 1067 MHz for both. PRAM resetting did not make a difference.
I then put back the original ones and everything was back to normal.
I guess they just mislabeled the new RAM modules and they are indeed 1067 Mhz forcing the other modules to work at the same speed...
Trying to work this out with the vendor (Global Memory UK). Meanwhile, already ordered a new pair from Crucial.

  • Windows Defender won't run on Twist after updating BIOS to 1.52.1.52

I ran a Windows Defender scan last night, all worked fine.
Today, I used Lenovo's system update to update the BIOS to 1.52.1.52. Immediately after the reboot, I tried another Defender scan.
It wil not complete: early into the scan, the fan speed increases and the Windows Defender service shuts down, bringing up the red "PC is at risk" banner and effectively killing the scan.
It's pretty clear that you need to issue an update/fix and FAST - my PC is no longer being protected!

I downloaded the w9620nms.110 version BIOS from the MSI website and flashed the BIOS.  Since that time, Windows XP Pro will not load successfully.  I re-flashed to go back to the 1.00 version and even tried the 1.26 version I got from this site.  Each time it still didn't work.  I cleared the CMOS and retried.  Still no good.
I reformatted the windows partition on the HDD (nVidia RAID stripe) and reinstalled windows.  The installation seemed to go fine, but when the system tried to load Windows, it failed again.  Just keeps re-booting.
Is there some setting in the BIOS that got changed in the flash that I'm missing that effects this?  A setting that needs changing back (other than the SATA RAID which I've re-set and whish is recognized by windows and the BIOS).
Or, it is possible the RAID stripe was corrupted somehow?
The system worked for several months before the flash.
Any help on this is much appreciated!!
    Running:
    K8N Master2 FAR (v1.00 original worked, now v1.00, 1.10 and 1.26 current, don't work)

  • T400 system hangs at POST screen after updating BIOS 7UET82WW

I have 3 GB memory and Win-7 Ultimate 32 bit OS installed in my T400 system. Recently I had updated the latest BIOS 7UET82WW thru TVSU and ended up with a serious problem. The BIOS update itself was succesfull, but right after reboot my problems started.
    1. The system hangs during startup in POST screen and sometimes boots into OS after a long wait  (20-30 mins)
    2. When I try to press F2 to enter the BIOS, i get a long beep for about 10 seconds and screen becomes white
    3. White screen garbage disappears in few seconds and blinking cursor stays for long time (around 20 -30 mins)
In net, I have to wait for around 30 mins for the system to boot into OS everytime. If I interupt in between by pressing any key, long beep and white screen garbage appears. I am not able to enter the BIOS as well.
After logon to the OS, everything seems to be absolutely perfect. But the problem comes back after reboot or hibernate and resume the system.
Appreciate any solution or feddback from anyone.

My T500 did this as well after the update.  I went into the bios and loaded all the defaults, rebooted.  Went back into the bios and reset my options (discrete only, turn off some unused features) and the system is working normally and Vista is booting as quickly as it had been before the update (and actually can accomplish a reboot).
