Memory usage seems to be replicating with each sync. My iPhone 5s is now full, although I typically only use half.
When I went to upgrade to iOS8, I was surprised to find that my memory was full. Usually it's only half full. On one of these forums, I found a solution that involved a Terminal command to delete a specific library which returned my memory to the normal usage and I was able to upgrade. Thursday I lost my phone, replaced and when I restored from backup the memory was again full. I have not been able to find the command that rescued me last time. I have found advice to restore and have restored various ways. Each time I restore, the memory usage seems to increase by about 200mg so it seems that something is replicating. It is not only "Other" that increases but also "Audio." Deleting all songs didn't help.
I sync both from iTunes and iCloud so this might be the source of the problem.
Any thoughts?

Why is my memory full when i have only used half of it?
Hi all, i have a 2012 MBA 120GB, i am new to mac books but have had all the other apple products for a long time.
my MBA is constantly telling me "memory full" and other messages like that. i have looked at "about this mac" and it displays i have 60gb of music, photos, apps etc, and the other 60gb is "other", and therer is no memory left.
i have deleted all of my emails in all boxes to see if this is it, and it isnt. i dont have any back ups, for our iphones and itunes at all, and i havent set up time machine either. i am at a total loss as to why this could be.
i have avoided using it latley because i cant put anymore photos or music on to it. the only thing that i have done to it since i have had it is install Mountain lion, and microsoft office for mac.
i have looked around for the answer to this and have come up with nothing, i'm no expert at all with a mac, i have looked at installing daisydisk or something like that, but i dont have enough memory to install it!! so if anyone has a step by step guide as to how to sort this out i would be REALLY grateful!!anyone?

Hi guys, I have a problem with imessage. My iphone 4S is factory unlocked and i have been using t-mobile carrier. i tried settings - messages - imessage on but there is this 'waiting for activation' thing. Does anyone know how to solve this?

T-Mobile UK are in fact port blocking to ensure fair usage on their base Web and Walk Plan. I have upgraded to Web and Walk Plus and as a result the port blocks are lifted and I get a higher data allowance!
We were also recently contacted by T-Mobile UK, who stated the following:

I ordered my Macbook Air with Aperture two years ago. I now have an iMac - can I use that with Aperture in any way? I appreciate that it is a different computer but I am now the end user of both devices and I was just wondering if it was possible.

However I believe you can have Aperture installed on two machines however only one may be using it at a time.

You should go onto the Tmobile web site and look around. Very soon a pop up window will ask you if you want to chat. You can try asking for someone who knows Spanish (if you prefer), they might have someone available who can chat with you in Spanish.
I give this suggestion because I remember on the Tmobile website, you can order on line, but they let you choose to pay only a little money up front, then pay off the rest over 24 months, or you can choose to pay for it in full. However, their ordering process does not say whether the paid for in full phone is going to be unlocked or not.
It may not be, You may have to make a request and say that since you have paid in full please unlock. I am not so sure that a paid for in full phone is automatically sold in unlocked state.
This is why I suggest you talk to Tmobile to get a definite answer.
Unless someone else on this forum knows for sure? Hope someone else jumps in to answer. But the best way is to ask for yourself directly from Tmobile. -

I locked my MacBook from my iPhone with the "find my iPhone" app and now it's asking for a 6 digit passcode
Normally, you d want to connect to computer, iphone had been synced with previously. If computer does not exist you may have to enter phone in recovery mode, just search youtube for iphone recovery.

System memory usage seems high
hello. i have a 3 month old macbook pro 13 and when i just looked on activity monitor with no programs running but airport on it said i was using 2.28 gigs of system memory and 1.72 gigs was free. does that seem normal? the only program on here that didn't come stock is iwork. and as i said, nothing was running at the time. thanks.
When you look in the Activity Monitor, what is listed for inactive memory? As the linked article indicates, inactive memory is memory that was in use by another application that was closed and can either be reused by the application if you reopen it or can be used by any other application. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1342?viewlocale=en_us
So if your inactive memory is high, then you shouldn't spend too much time worrying about the amount that is "free" because the inactive memory is essentially free. -
DI and SQL seem to lose connection with each other
Hello Everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my question.
I am getting the following error
System call failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010100 (RPC_E_SYS_CALL_FAILED))
i am running a very big Store Procedure which takes about 15 minutes to run outside of SAP and works well.
when i put this call through the DI using a recordset the code seems to run fine but after the 8 or 9 minute i get the above error.
My question is it seems that the recordset has a timed out.
Is there any way around this?
so far i have tried using Native SQL vb calls without luck same error Sql has reached a timeout even if i put timeout=0 within the connection string.
i have had this issue before and simply deleting temporary folders would help. but this time it happens constantly.

Blackberry 8330 loses wallpaper with each sync
Each time I perform a sync it returns the default wallpaper to the device screen. Is there a way to keep that wallpaper from changing with sync procedure? Thank you.

I have no fix for this. It's been happening to me since I started synching and backing up. It doesn't matter if the wallpaper is on the device memory of the media card. I would like to know the answer to this as well.

Appointment Duplicate with each Sync
Since I have installed the new BlackBerry Manager for my Mac, I have "synced" about 5 times with my iMac. Each time I sync, the appointments from my Entourage Calendar are repeated on my Blackberry Calendar.
Now, for every single appointment, holiday, etc. on my Entourage, there are 5-6 duplicate appointments on my Blackberry!
Has anyone else had this problem yet, and is there a fix?
Do I have to go back to the PocketMac until this is sorted out??????Any ideas? Thanks.

Simple thing. Would be very useful to use.
I listen to any songs, mark their ratings with what I think.
Then the moment I sync my iPod to iTunes (windows 7) All the ratings are getting just randomized. Most of them gets deleted, others get changed to ones I surely didn't touch.
No matter wich device I set them on.
I tried to do on iPod then sync to PC -> gone random
I tried to rate in iTunes then sync to iPod -> gone again.
I did separately the same ratings on my iPod and iTunes, then synced -> RATINGS GONE!
Fix this issue please. It has absolutely no use at the moment.
Cheers.Your Comcast accounts are POP (unless you enrolled in the Comcat Beta test of Imap) so they won't sync at all. Either enroll in the Beta test or don't use Comcast.
Your iCloud account is Imap and should sync just fine, unless you have set it up incorrectly.
