Saludos!

  • I have Mac OS 10.6.8  and get "An internal FaceTime error occurred".

Is there a fix in the works.  Apple says click only once on icon but this is to no avail for me.  Would REALLY like to use facetime on my MacBook without having to go into the root directory to modify something that should already be modified in the program's release.  Does anyone have THE official answer for a fix?  Is this one of those things I for which I need to call Apple and pay for the tech support to get it to work,  or does it just not work on OS 10.6.8?
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
Tia to all who respond and have a GREAT evening evryone!

An internal FaceTime error occurred. There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again. You have to close and reopen the application". How can I solve this matter?

SOLUCIONADO!!!!!!!!!

everytime i try to log in to FaceTime i get "The server encountered an error processing registration.  Please try again later."  it works fine on my iPad... any help?

    Hi there,
This often occurs if you double click on the FaceTime icon in the dock. The resolution is to click on the icon just once. Take a look at the article below for some more information.

  • Every time i get on my computer and click on imessage and facetime a little box pops  up saying an internal messages error occurred  or an internal facetime error occurred....but my question is how do i get it to stop doing this or how to stop it

every time i get on my computer and click on imessage and facetime a little box pops  up saying an internal messages error occurred  or an internal facetime error occurred....but my question is how do i get it to stop doing this or how to stop it.

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
    That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now.  They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
    Thanks for listening,
    Melissa

  • Facetime Error, Little Snitch to blame?

I had LittleSnitch for about a month and then decided that it was really annoying. I deleted the program, every single little file I can find for it, I deleted. However, I think it has blocked some connection that is causing my Facetime error because I can't figure out any other problem. I'm pretty sure I denied some connection when I had facetime on Snow Leopard and joy, no more facetime for me.
    Error I get:
"The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later."
This has been happening from Day 1 of getting Lion and I got Lion as soon as it came out. Help? Someone? Please?

Just for general information, these are user to user forums, so until someone sees your post who has some actual information, it may take a while for someone to respond.
+I also found some unprepared disk permissions just a few mins ago+
+It says in 12 pages a lot of bad permissions. They all have to do with my Airport.+
+I don't want to repair them though because I'm using Little Snitch on some of my files for security.+
If you have a problem with permissions, you should repair those. I don't know why you'd think it would mess up things - repairing permissions fixes them.
+Update 3: BTW, I just went into software update. It can't check updates because of a "network problem". I never had this error before. Any ideas?+
I don't use Little Snitch, but I would suspect that you have a setting there that is preventing your uploads as well as your communication with the Apple server. Hopefully someone using that app will chime in here on that.
So, until someone using Little Snitch can chime in, I would suggest you try turning it off for a short while; repairing your permissions, and then try to upload your videos. If it works, then you'll know the culprit and will need to adjust some settings there. If it doesn't, at least we've eliminated it as a source of the problem.

I upgraded from the 4s to the 5s on Tuesday and requested my O2 number be carried over to my new EE contract. Everything has been carried over fine but i have been unable to switch on Imessage and Facetime, Error message shows 'Waiting for Activation' I've done the the resets and followed the instructions from the Apple Help page but still can't get it to switch on??

If you say you have done everything in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4268, then you should probably contact your carrier for their advice.

  • Internal FaceTime error message occurs, cannot open app.

I just purchased the FaceTime App for Mac, but am unable to open it. Each time I get an Internal FaceTime error and am prompted to quit and re-open...only to get the same msg. Firewall is not the problem. Have version 10.6.8. Any suggestions?

    This is Apple being stubborn.
iTunes does not support Windows Fast Switching. Almost every application built for Windows DOES support this function, apart from iTunes.
For anyone who says this is a Windows problem:
Apple have managed to get iTuneshelper.exe to support fast switching for many years. Of course, that application keeps iTunes updated, checks to see if iTunes is the default player and keeps offering other Apple rubbish as a download.
Being in Apple's interest, rather than the users, they fixed the problem for that application.
Apple = evil/lazy and getting worse than Microsoft ever was.

  • TS4185 I have downloaded facetime from the App store and I keep receiving this message - An internal FaceTime error occurred.  There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again.  Please help!

I have downloaded facetime from the App store and I keep receiving this message - An internal FaceTime error occurred.  There was a problem with FaceTime. You need to quit and open FaceTime again.  Please help!

This error message could result from an incorrect setting for date and time, or an operating system which does not have the latest updates installed.  It's a good idea to have your location setting on automatic.  Turn on the wi fi in your mac for a minute or so, to allow it to automatically search for your present location.  Do this even though you have the correct time Date settings displayed.

  • When launching FaceTime - "internal facetime error has occurred"?

Trying to launch facetime and keep getting message "internal facetime error has occured".  Anyone have any idea what that means?

If your webcam is powered by USB, make sure it is attached directly to your Mac and not a USB hub.  In my case, I had my Rocketfish webcam attached to a peripheral USB hub and it wasn't drawing enough power to operate at capacity.  Therefore, Facetime was quitting on me and giving me an error message.  Once I attached the webcam directly to my Mac USB port, problem solved.  Hope that helps.
