MENU button on DVD Controller does not work.

I want to make it so that when the user presses MENU on the controller it will go back to the MAIN MENU. Right now nothing happens when I click. Thanks!

Menu Button to End Workout Does not Work!

I recently got a nike + kit for a new 16 GB Ipod Nano.
I've successfully started and enjoyed several workouts with the kit. However, when I am done with my workout, and I attempt to "end my workout" by depressing the Menu button, nothing happens. It's as if the Menu button does not work. This effectively locks my Ipod in the Nike Plus workout. I've had to reset my Ipod in order to get out of the workout. Needless to say, my workout is not recorded, and I am not interested in constantly resetting my Ipod as a long term solution to ending my workouts.
Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue? I have not tried resetting my Ipod to factory default settings. I do have the latest firmware loaded on my Ipod, and the "hold" switch is not on when this happens.

This sounds like it is a really frustrating issue. I would like to help you resolve it.
So far you have done a soft reset on the iPod, turned off spoken feedback, and checked for software updates. If your workouts were saved in your iPod, the following instructions will help you recover them.
If you have a Mac system, please let me know and I will you send you the Mac instructions.
Re-uploading a workout (Windows)
1. Dock your iPod Nano
2. Open Itunes, select your iPod, and go to the summary tab
3. If the "enable disk use" box is not checked, check it and click Apply
4. Open My Computer; go to tools, folder options, and the view tab
5. If "Show Hidden Files and Folders" does not have a green dot next to it, select it and click Apply.
6. Close the Folder Options window and find your iPod on My Computer. It should be listed as a removable drive.
7. Open the following folders to reach your Sensor folder: iPod_Control\Device\Trainer\Workouts\Empeds
8. When you are in the Empeds folder, you will see a folder with a name that matches the serial number on your receiver. This is the Sensor folder.
9. Open the Sensor folder and you will see two folders, Latest and Synched.
10. Open the Synched folder and find the corresponding .xml files (date stamped) missing from your Nike+ account.
11. Move these files to the "Latest" folder. (You can either drag them to Latest or you can use the Edit menu to cut and paste them into Latest.)
11. Close the My Computer window
12. Go back to iTunes and safely un-dock your iPod Nano. iTunes will need to stay open.
13. Reconnect your iPod Nano, then select the check box to "Automatically send workout data to nikeplus.com" and click Apply at the bottom-right of the screen.
14. The missing runs will be re-synced.
If your iPod software is up to date and this continues to happen I recommend restoring the iPod. Keep in mind that restoring the iPod will permanently erase all of the data on the iPod.

Dvd player does not work after Leopard upgrade

I installed Leopard, had to upgrade because my printer died and no printers now work with Tiger. Since the upgrade, my DVD player does not work. I have problems burning some cd's too. Is this a known issue? What is the fix?

I have read a couple of complaints like that, but not sure it's widespread.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.
If that does NOT help, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
If that does NOT help then I suspect the optical drive or media itself, or possibly just needs a cleaning CD run on it.

If there's a hardware defect and your phone is under warranty, bring it to Apple for replacement.

CD/DVD drive does not work after Win 8 intsallation

from a month i've updated my windows into windows 8, everything is working great but the DVD-RW .
When i put empty cd and try to open it, it gives me error while opening saying:
"windows was unable to complete the format"
So is that a software or a hardware problem?!

As Peter says above, only an Apple Store genius can advise you.
But to further clarify, you seem to postulate that if Apple helps you, the cure would be a replacement. That is not necessarily true. Let them look at it and advise you what the remedy is. They may offer you nothing (saying it's your fault), or they may offer you a solution (keeping your current iPhone), or possibly a replacement.

Satellite P105 mat****a dvd drive does not work with Win 7

I need an upgrade on my dvd for my vintage Satellite P105.
I want the fastest dvd burner possible at this time because I am a movie fan and keep them in digital storage.
1) First should I go get an external drive or can I get top performance with an internal dvd replacement from a parts dealer or Toshiba?
The problem is when I upgraded to windows 7 things changed. I lost my sound but solved that by using a legacy driver for Visa as apparently the sound "board" on the laptop is made for only Vista. Next I found the dvd drive which is a mitsu****a UJ-450s internal does not work or is extremely slow in backing up movies from discs or files. The available burner software also seems intended for Vista as performance was acceptable then. Even the dvd burner software does not work.
2) So, my question to the mavens of multimedia is: What should be my next move?
3) Should I go external and face the USB bottle neck or
4) go for the bus speed on the internal dvd?
5) Given that an internal dvd is better as it is exactly a dvd-ram/IDE as it currently is, or some other bus configuration.
6) Most importantly, what dvd burner would give me 18x speed with current software like ConvertXtoDVD and fit as an external or -- better -- as an internal dvd replacement or my slow drive currently?
Of course, if you could give me a model number and direct me to sales it would be much appreciated.

My DVD does not work with certain DVDs. Do I need to get it replaced or is there some other problem.

Could it be that they're out-of-region DVDs? Which model MBP do you have (15" late 2011, for example) and which version of OS X are you running?

IBM and/or Lenova laptop computers have the red button/nub in the center of the keyboard that acts with "mouse" functions such as scrolling up and down pages. After downloading Version 4.0 of Firefox this feature does not work anymore. Is it locked in some settings?

i figured it out!
1) go to control panel
2) click on mouse
3) click on the UltraNav tab at the top
4) for the TrackPoint, i have the Enable TrackPoint box checked and the "Use as pointing device with advanced features
5) click on Settings
6) click on settings again towards the bottom right
7) for "Scrolling Type" click on Smooth.

DVD/DVR does not work after 10.4.7 upgrade

Hi!
After updating to 10.4.7. The PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-105 does not work !!!
It won't recognize, spin, or eject discs automatically. It does let me insert and eject discs manually, and that's it.
I'm sure it's due to the upgrade and not becasue the drive went bad or something.
Any clues what to do?
(Is it possible to go BACK at the previous upgrade when such things happen?)

OEM 12c: buttons in GUI page does not work

Hi,
I am using OEM12c, we just installed BI publisher last week and we have problem configure it to integrate with OEM12c. One day after the failed configuration, one of the target Authorization Policy Manager (oracle.security.apm) shows down, then we start seeing GUI problems on the console:
1. Under My Oracle Support, all links except for the Community link show blank pages.
2. Buttons in a lot of pages does not work. For example, view/edit/create on the administer page, nothing happen when click on these buttons. This is all overall the GUI, I think in general http post method is not working. Basically the GUI is un-workable.
Any suggestion to how to fix these problem?

Did you try to turn on the ringer on the lateral switch, right on top of the volume switch? You did not mention on your post.
