Menu Buttons Change Image instead of Highlighting?

Does anyone know how to/or if it's possible to make a DVD menu in Photoshop for Encore where, when the menu button is highlighted it actually changes image instead of making it a solid highlighted colour?
For example...
In a DVD i'm making, I have Cartoon images that are the menu buttons. I would like to make it so that when you select it on your dvd player it makes the eyes open up wider and mouths of the characters open up. I have made the duplicate layers and changed one to have the open eyes and mouth and placed it directly ontop of the other and put both layers in the one group with the (+) to allow Encore to recognize it. But all I get is the top layer of the two turning to a top colour. I know that using prefixes like (=1) makes it highlighted and that is why it's highlighting but I don't know what else to suggest. I've looked at the prefixes on the Encore help on this site and tried to work it out but no luck
I know this is due to my lack of knowledge and really need some help to fix it, or know if it's even possible (I assume tht using such great products as Adobe it will be)

Welcome to the forum.
This is easily done by doing dupe Menus for each Button. The Button on the original Menu will be set to Auto-Activate, and be linked to the dupe Menu with the different graphic. I would probably turn OFF Sub-picture Highlights.
The trick is to do a layout, and also name your Menus (especially the dupes), to reflect exactly what they do. I use Illustrator for my layout, but pencil and paper work well too.
Note: if run on a computer, the user will need to Dbl-click the Button, as Auto-Activate only works seamlessly from a DVD set-top player.
There are several other posts on this forum (a few very recent), where I go into much more detail. Also, Jeff Bellune's excellent book, The Focal Easy Guide to Adobe EncoreDVD 2.0, by Focal Press, has excellent, easy to follow steps for doing this. Though written for EncoreDVD 2.0, 100% of the book will apply to CS3 & CS4.

Menu buttons changing navigation on own ???

DVD Studio Pro navigation changes at will. I will lay out menus and navigation.
I will save--NOT close down--come back a few moment slater and my button flow is all different. The progam is not holding my set pattern. This is over 9 projects.
We even rebuilt project--thinking human error we can't pinpoint.
In 8 years of Authroing and over 500 projects I have NEVER seen this.
Company decision--have a corrupt file and plan on re-installing software.
Anyone ever have this problem??

I have had this happen. It normally happens on complex authoring projects where there are numerous menus, scripts, and tracks.
When you say over nine projects are you just making slight changes and then doing a save as?
Trashing DSP preferences has never helped me.
Starting from scratch has always fixed the problem so I have never gotten to the re-install stage.
I have always presumed it was a corrupt project file.

Radio Buttons with images

Hi Flip,
The user when switching between modes will fire an event to the server. This even needs to be caught in a bean and set a variable's value to either true or false.
Now you can treat "TRUE" to be in view and "FALSE" to be in edit mode.
Depending on this images can be changed.
Ex: your bean will be like

Is it possible to display an image instead of button in a radio group?

I am building an application to be operated with touch screens. I would like to display radio group buttons larger than they are by default. Is it possible to make them seem larger, or to display a custom image instead of the radio group?

Rather than using a radio group, have you looked into using a list? That is what we use for navigation in APEX in many places when we show large images (like App Builder home page - Run Application, Supporting Objects, Shared Components, Utilities, Export / Import).
If you need to use radio groups, you can use the template under Globalization to include a larger, clickable image (we do that for pages like selecting the type of page to create). An example template is:

Custom spry type menu using images instead of text

Hi.
Before I ask my question properly, I just want to put it out there that I have created my almost finished (apart from this part) website pretty much cometely in design view. I am very very limited with HTML and have zero scripting experience.
I'm looking for a step by step guide to the solution/s if anyone can be so kind as to help.
My website uses a non standard font throughout so my headings are all .png files including the menu bar navigation.
I would like one of my menu buttons to continue to switch to a different image as the others do (it simply changes colour) but also drop down a further two clickable images in the spry style.
Is it possible to create a rollover image that has further hotline regions or clickable images as part of it?
If not, can you create a spry menu with no text, just background images?
Alternatively, is there another way to achieve what I'm looking for.

Use a background image, keep the original label (e.g. Home) for accessibility (screen readers, search engines etc), but hide the labels by placing them in a span and giving the span a left margin of -1000em. Also give the item an identifying class (home),as per

and the CSS

Give the hover and focus a background image of choice.

How can I change the icon for the bookmarks menu button

Using linux, the default icon for the bookmarks menu button is quite ugly. Is there a way to change the icon for the button with some code in userChrome.css ?

After several intents, I found a solution.
This is my userChrome.css file:

Probably it's messy but works.

When I have finished working on an image in Photoshop and I hit the save button it goes instead to the "save as" screen. This never happened in previous Photoshop versions. When I get to Lightroom, I have a grey screen the says "File could not be found."

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. I have the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (Versión 9.0.0) and I need to compare two documents, but I want to show the diferences changing the color of letters instead of highlight the text with any color. My boss tell me that other Acrobat version have this option, but I couldn't find it in this version.

Iphone menu button not working takes several clicks to change menu

I can push on off button, and keep pushing menu button and will finally change, but doesn't just click to change anymore. Just started this today, I just got the phone when verizon came out with it in Feb. so is still new. What can I do?

It does... Apple TV has a problem with the assignment to the itunes account after updating. Restore to factory settings or unlog and news login to the itunes store helps to see the rented/downloaded film(s).

Hello, Newbie Here,
Built my first Xcelsious front end and linked to two personnel databases. Everything works just fine. The outputs on this particular visualization generate completion statistics for 12 divisions and a 13th for combined. Don't know enough about the software yet to know whether I can make the menu buttons appear in red for those that have not accomplished a 100% compliance to the task being tracked? This would make it visually easier for upper management to click directly on the division menu buttons in red, rather than have to click on all of them to see which divisions haven't achieved completion. Also, wouldn't hurt to be able to turn the other menu buttons green for those that have completed. Any ideas are appreciated, really scratching my head at the moment.
