Menu expanding off of page - Please Help!!!

I've placed a vertical menu on the left side of my page where some of the sub-menu items extend lower than the visible bottom of the page. My question is: is there a way to have the page automatically scroll down to see the items? Right now when the menu expands out, if there is anything below the visible page level, it won't automatically scroll down for you - you have to manually do that yourself. Because of this, you could potentially miss items in the menu because you can't see them. In surfing other websites, I've noticed that when you pull down a menu that expands lower than the bottom most visible portion of the screen, the site automatically accomodates for this and scrolls down for you.
Any suggestions on how to get portal to do this??

Hi Vijay,
I tried to insert the code into the html of a text object on my page, but I'm not sure what the "name of the html page" should be? Could you explain it a little more in detail for me as I am not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination. Also, is it possible to add IFrame to a region containing portlets? I'm not at all sure how that would work, as the html of the portlet isn't visible??
Also, while IFrame will be helpful in other areas of my site, I don't think that my original problem has been solved. The Ronaldo Viscuso expanding menu that I added has a tendency to stretch off of the page, either horizontally or vertically. When this happens, the page doesn't automatically scroll down to accomodate the menu. I guess if I could add IFrame to my entire page, it would automatically scroll for me, but is that even possible?

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time after you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post any other kind of report — it will be very long and not helpful.

Have you tried the resize button in the window corner upper right. There are 3 buttons one closes the window one minimizes it without closes it and the other one toggles between full screen and a smaller screen. Click the last one and see what happens.

Flattening and merging are very similar. The main difference is merging keeps the transparent areas, whereas flattening removes all transparent areas by giving it a white background. A good example of flattening is a jpg image.
Since you have closed the file by closing photoshop, that means that the history is now gone, no way of undoing.
So that leaves you with two choices.
You can either recreate the whole document.
Or you can make selections of areas you are keeping and moving them one at a time to new layers. Keep each object on a separate layer. Then redo the area behind those objects.

You might want to download something called an undelete utility. These can find files and recover them even after they appear to have been lost. There are some undelete utility programs that are free. Look at tucows.com
Also, it appears that you have POSSIBLY overwritten the actual files, which you moved manually, with I don't know what, which you moved in PSE's folder location view.
Next, in the future ... NEVER (that's: don't even think about it) move your photos in Windows. NEVER. NEVER. Not ever. Not once. This always (that's ALWAYS, as in 100% of the time) causes problems and usually makes things difficult to fix.
Lastly ... make regular backups! I must say this in the forums about seventy bazillion times a month. Make regular backups! Regular depends on how often you take photographs and edit them. Since my photographic activity usually happens on the weekends, I make backups every Sunday night. You may need a different schedule, depending on your activity level. MAKE REGULAR BACKUPS!

It's gone.
The downside of the 'find my' app is that your device needs to be online, and it is an app that can be defeated within minutes by any thief that knows what they're doing.
Hopefully you've already protected your data, changed passwords etc.
Chances are your iPad has been wiped and sold and it's gone.
You can or should have reported the theft to the police. You might get lucky.

If you mean that the iphone froze in some random app you have ....the solution is easy .
Press and hold both Home Button and On/OFF button for about 15 seconds . The device should turn off and on again .
If not than please wait until the battery goes out and try the above step again whilst device is off .

iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows

Downloaded update on ipod on wifi 0.6 could not sync with computer as it did not recognise my ipod on itunes but could not download 0.6 off itunes it doesnt seem to be on itunes suggested web page, please help

By wiping both iPhone and iPod and trying syncing with another computer I've come to the conclusion that something with MobileMe sync is the problem.
I can set up both to work fine with my Mac Pro and a new Mac Book Pro as long as I don't set up MobileMe syncing. As soon as I sync with MobileMe I start having problems, particularly with Calendar.
MobileMe seems to work fine computer to computer, until the iPhone/iPod get involved, then the MobileMe copy gets messed up. Version on computer seems to stay ok.
Not sure where to go from here... other than call Apple or go to the Apple Store.

Spry Menu rendering improperly in Firefox - PLEASE HELP

I have searched the forums and the web and can't find the
solution to the following problem.
I have a vertical spray menu with flyouts (CS3). Works great
in IE, in Firefox, the flyouts go to the far right of the page.
They used to be OFF the page, but I fixed that, I just can't figure
out the final fix.
Can someone please help? TIA!

I published my site several weeks ago with no problems at all. Now, suddenly, text (rendered as images) throughout the site is being cut-off, sometimes to the point of invisibility.

I have tried almost everything that I can think of including:
-increasing the size of text boxes to a generous size
-increasing/decreasing the size of the font
-moving the text boxes up and down slightly in an attempt to fully reveal the text
-deleting and remaking text boxes
I have been reviewing this forum for days looking for help with this problem. I am at a loss of what more I can do. PLEASE help.

I noticed there are also diamond symbols with ? in them which are showing up too. Are you creating your text links within iweb and then using the inspector to link them to other pages? I have seen this type of problem when putting in forms, but never with text links. One way around this might be to link the text box instead of the text to other pages. for example, when you highlight the text and go to the inspector then enable as a link simply do the same but dont highlight the text just select the text box. Try it on a few and republish, its worth a try. You also might want to try this first, do a publish all rather than just publish. To do this go to file and select publish all to .mac. Sometimes this is an easy fix to weird problems. Your site looks nice and I hope you can get it up and running. Good luck.

Reconfigured itself, now stuck on test page, please help

I went to go listen to my ipod on my way home from work this morning. When I turned it on, it went to a weird screen and said it was reconfiguring. I followed all the prompts it told me to. However, it came to a to a certain screen and it wont let me do anything. the black strip up top reads "accessorize test", it follows with "please plug FW LCD ID : 1 FWPWR : 0" I pressed all the buttons, nothing. I tried holding down the play/pause button and it wont even shut off. When I finally got home, I plugged it into a power source, still nothing. I thought maybe it needed to be hooked to the computer. clicked on itunes and its not even recognizing that its plugged in. I really cant get it to do anything. I dont know what to do. Ive had it over a year so I cant find an appropriate tech support number. it says accessorize but you cant really hook it up to any accessory thing so I have no clue. PLEASE HELP ME

HTTP error 0 testing not serving php pages please help

Hello everyone,
I am using DWCS3, the free version of MAMP on my MacBook Pro Leopard 10.5.6.
I have built a customer registration form with a Transitional <!DOCTYPE>. I have been following the instructions from The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3, using a wizard to build a registration form, in chapter 15.
When I try to preview the form in the web browser, I get a white screen.
When I click the live data button I get an; HTTP error 0 message occured while attempting to request the file http://localhost:8888/mywebsite/page_S9INUKZB.php from the testing server.
possible reasons:
1. Files in MacHD/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mywebsite with .php extension are not being executed by the testing server.
2. The MacHD/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mywebsite does not map to http://localhost:8888/mywebsite URL on the testing server.
I've gone over the site definitions several times and have configured MAMP differently twice, using ports 80 and 3306 and also 8888 and 8889. The same problem has happened in both instances here is my site definition info:

I have attached a compressed copy of the customer registration form maybe the problem is the page. I have gone round and round in circles with this and I can't seem to sort it out can somebody please help me.

Thanks for getting back to me, sorry for the late reply, I've been away for a few days.
I have done what you suggested, and altered the links relative to document: http://localhost:8888/mywebsite/
I have also restarted dreamweaver and mamp.
Nothing has changed when I try to view the page through the browser I get a white screen and the HTTP error 0 is still displaying, With the same message as before.
I have since created a new form, connected it to my user table, and populated the table with info, and that worked.
I then added the php validating code as suggested in chapter 15, pages 481 through to 485. I've also checked the code against your example page register_user_03.php.
However when I put the page on the testing server and try to view it, all I get is a white screen, and an HTTP error 0 the testing server is not executing pages with a .php extension. Or the URL prefix isn't mapped properly.
I have also checked all my settings in MAMP and left a question on the forum but they haven't answered.
Is there a setting or connection that I need to enable in Apache? I'm stumped.
I'm hoping you might have some tricks up your sleeve.
