Menu Field Translation Text

Hi All,
I have an Custom ALV report for which i have made all changes for french translation.Now everything is working.Now only problem i am facing is with some of Menu fields (List,Edit,GoTo,Settings) of the ALV Report is not getting translated to french.However other Menu field i.e system is automatically getting translated when logged in through French Language.
Please let me know how to fix this

Yes this report is based on ALV OO with screen logic.Can you tell what do u mean by regenerating the screen?.The screen field(menu fields) is correctly displaying but only translation for french language is not displaying when logged in through french language.Do we need to maintain exclusive text for french language, just like we maintain the text in DDFTX for report fields?

Transport of Area Menu with Translated Texts

I have some area menus in customer development class with original language EN. The area menu is translated using SE43N into ES (Spanish).
When I select the transport area menu function in SE43N, I am prompted for a transport and the transport contains the Object Directory Entry for the area menu. So far so good. I expected that all existing texts for the area menu will be transported, but the spanish texts do not get recorded into the transport. I can see that there are no keys for table TMENU01T for spanish, only the english in the transport.
Is there a not so obvious trick to transport an area menu with translations, short of adding the table entries manually into the transport???

I could transport the area menus in other system also like this :
1)go to transaction SE43 entry screen
2)enter the name of a area menu.
3)Click on the 'transport area menu button'(the small truck button)
4)This will prompt you with a transport request dialog box
5) creat a new request

Copy text fields and drop down menu fields

Hi,
Using LiveCycle Designer ES, I am making a simple form with some text fields and along with some drop-down menu fields. With the resulting pdf, I need for one to be able to select the appropriate selection in the drop-down menus. Then using cntl-a to select everything and then cntl-v to copy it into a text document. This approach will only copy the text fields and not what is showing in the drop-down menu field. Is there any way to solve this problem? The end users computer has limited tools and software cannot be installed on it.

Hi,
I don't really know if the text field can be selected using Ctl+a, but if that is possible how about adding extra text field that is linked to pulldown menu?
If the usage of the PDF is only for copying, then I would make a formcalc or javascript to combine all the text into one text field so that user only need to copy paste one field.

Screen Painter and Menu Painter Translations

Hello All,
I want to translate the Screen painter and Menu Painter Objects .
When I go to the SE41 and select the PF Status of my Program and press change Button I'm getting the following msg :
Make repairs in foreign namespaces only if they are urgent .
If I press Ok and select the Menu path : Goto --> Translation .
The Translation options is in deactivated mode.
How to do the Translation now ?

Run trx SE63, then go to: Translation->Short Texts->Screen Painter
Choose:
- Header to translate the title of attribute of the screen;
- Texts to translate the label of the input/ouput fields
Translation->Short Texts->User interface to translate the menu

Hi,
U can use the badi ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST methid PO PROCESS_ITEM. In this u have both doc type and line item data and using this u can through the error message to make the field compulsory.u can go to the 'Goto' in menu and in this go to 'Sample code' .Here u will find how to use this badi.

Translate text in titlebar

I want to translate text in tiltebar,
in t-code se41,select title list,but in the screen,the 'translate" is inactive,
then how to translate text in titlebar?

In SE51 - PBO, You can see the title bar.
module STATUS_9000 output.
* SET PF-STATUS 'xxxxxxxx'.
   SET TITLEBAR 'ABCD'.
   " Other code
endmodule.                 " STATUS_9000 OUTPUT
There double click on ABCD, You will get a pop-up and lick ALL TITLES.
There in the menu path GOTO->TRANSLATION, you can do the translation.
Finally activate it.

Translating text elements

Hi Experts,
I am trying to translate the text element/text symbols in an ABAP object class.
I am in SAP version 4.6C. When I try to do that from the tcode se24, I get an message "Go to se63 for translations".
I went to se63 and into the menu path:
Translation->short Texts-> ABAP -> Classes/Interfaces.
Then I gave my class name and the source and target languages.
Then I clicked on the translate button and went inside.
There I am not able to see any of the text elements that have created for the class.
Please help me solve this issue.

does anybody know how to translate text elements

Can't add database field or text object to a report (new and existing)

We have Crystal Report 8.5 and when trying to modify an existing report or create a new report, I can't seem to add any database fields or text objects in my report. I get a prohibition symbol (circle with a backslash inside it) when I hover over the report. Has anyone encoutered something like this? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Do you have two monitors?
I had this problem if I tried to open crystal in the second monitor, move it back to primary monitor and it should be OK.

How to populate read only input field or text view form value help only

Hi experts,
I have one requirement to populate a read-only field or text view from value help.
User cant put any value there.value comes only from the value help.
For example,
when we read context using Code Wizard,we cant type any value there.value only comes from value help.
How to implement that functionality?

Yes it is possible.
1.Create a context Attribute and then bind this attribute to the Text view UI element.
2. read context attribute and then set value to the context attribute like this way.
DATA:
    elem_context1                        TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
    stru_context1                        TYPE if_first=>element_context ,
    item_potxt                          LIKE stru_context-potxt.
get element via lead selection
elem_context1 = wd_context->get_element( ).

How to change translation text in XLF file without re deploying?

Hi All,
I want to change the translation text of WebDynpro application without using NWDS. The application is already deployed in Production. Is there any way to change the translation text directly from the server (without changing the message in XLF file through NWDS) and re deploying the applicaion?

Regarding inserting a field or text in template cell

Please let me know how to insert a field or text in the Cell in template.

i need to insert the feilds and text in it.

Hi,
To insert the text and field value inside the template you need to add insert the text inside the tempate node.
assign the text or field into the text and then decide the position of the ext in the templete in output condition tab or text.
insert the row and column number in the this to filed where you want to display the text.
for e.g if field needs to displayed in the 2nd row and 3rd column then mention line = 2 and column = 3 in the output tab of the text.

Target field in Text URL Link not working.

I'm working with CS6 creating a web-site for a client. The client has giving me a list of Publications to display on a particuter page, which is an overview of all the books that my cleint has published. The details for each book are on individual pages, which I've already created and have URL's for. The idea is to look at the overview page and if you desire, select a book title to view additional details about that particular book.
For this Overview page I've created a classic text block that contains several URL links.
Example: "This is information about book 1: URL LINK to BOOK 1 title. Great Press Book Publisher, 2010.
This is information about book 2: URL LINK to BOOK 2 Title . Great Press Book Publisher, 2011.
This is information about book 3: URL LINK to BOOK 3 Title. Great Press Book Publisher, 2012.
This is information about book 4: URL LINK to BOOK 4 title. Great Press Book Publisher, 2013."
I've placed the URL links for each respective book in the highlighetd text area for that book, represented by the BLUE text in the above example. The overview page as well as the individual book pages are publised and in my domain on-line.
Everything works fine with one exception. When I select a book link in the overview page, I want to have a New Browser window appear for that books individual page. Currently, the individual book page appears in the same browser window.
All, documentation I read says that I can set the "Target" field in Text properties to either NONE or _Blank to get a New Browser Window, but this does not seem to work.
Breaking up the text into small pieces is not an option, since Flash seems to shift text block positions when they are placed close to one another. I don't know why, it just happens. This makes the site unusable so the text block needs to remain a single text block for appearance reasons.
So, does anyone know if this is a bug in CS6?
Or does anyone know how I can get the "Target" setting to work for URL links within a block of text?

How are you assigning the links in the text? Normally if you assign a url to a textfield you can select one of four different targets, none of which is NONE (_blank, _parent, _top, _self)... so I am wondering why what you describe is different than what I'd expect.

Problems with translated text in captivate 7

I want to create a multilingual e-learning version. I can translate all texts. Unfortunately I can not change the selected text in the pop up window. I have no idea how I can change this text. Can someone give me a tip.

Hellou guys, Somethink similar: After installing 7.0.1 patch the project created 7.0, lose translated text inside Succes/Failure etc. captions and show default English texts, for example in quizes captions. Hmmm... In preferences dialog default labels are still translated, but after publishing project, the captions are English. So I used trick - Find/Replace dialog - and change manually all text captions with translated version. After publishing works fine. When I create new project directly in 7.0.1, there are no problem Perhapse, small bug. Can live with it because the new enhacements inside 7.0.1 is much important.:)
