Menu icon on N82

When you press the menu button on the N82 the menu is displayed without an icon next to the word Menu at the top unlike my Friends N70. I saw a video last night on you tube where some guy shows a way to display this Menu icon, it was a long procedure, about a minute and a half.
For some reason my phone has been playing you tube videos without sound so I couldn't hear what the guy was saying. Is this really possible and does anyone here know how this is done because I like how it looks with the icon.
You can search for N82 menu icon on you tube to see what I'm talking about

  • Another N82 query - Menu Icon Animation

Yes, I have too much time on my hands today, but seeing as people have been so helpful of late…
I read in the N82 user guide (p97 in fact) that menu icon animation should be an option, and can be turned on and off. But I assumed that this was an error as the Menu > Options > Icon animation feature was absent on my relatively new handset. At first I thought it was because I was using a third party theme, but it the same under all the pre-installed N Series themes too.
Reading the forums here, I noticed references to this feature in other threads so I looked on my handset again... under Menu > Options, I have:
    Open
    Change menu view
    Move
    Move to folder
    New folder
    Download applications
    Memory details >
    Help
    Exit
No mention of icon animation in the menu or any sub menu. Is this a restriction my network operator (Orange UK) have placed on the firmware, or am I just looking in the wrong place?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Probably the only way they could make it work.
I've noticed that with some 3rd party themes if you have icon animation enabled it doesn't show custom icons in all of the menus.
I've been using this theme recently and it behaves like that.

  • On my email page, I've lost the 3-line menu icon in upper right -- how can I get it back?

I inadvertently lost the little 3-line menu icon in the upper right corner of my email page. What can I do to get it back? I've tried pressing Alt and also Ctrl+Alt, as some instructions suggest, and nothing happens.

You probably have disabled the Mail Toolbar. Press F10 and choose View -> Toolbars and check Mail Toolbar.

  • Is it possible to get the menu icon (verticle ellipsis) on my home touch buttons?

I just got the LG G3 smartphone, and I can't find the menu icon (vertical ellipsis) anywhere (except on apps).  I'd like to have it as one of my home touch buttons, but it's not one of the icons available.  What gives?

Press and hold the task-switching button (the overlapping rectangles), and it'll pop up.  The LG G3 has a menu button; here's where to find it | Android Central

That's not very helpful. You need to learn how to use abs. Then use it to compile your own version of openbox with icons support. If you have problems, post specifically what you've tried and what the error messages were.
Though what puzzles me is why isn't the Arch package compiled with icons support in the first place?
    let me understand
if i install openbox from shell
    pacman -S openbox
    i can't use icons?
    my openbox versione is:

  • Xfce problems - some menu icons gone [solved]

    Hello all,
I normally use XFCE, but briefly installed the Gnome packages just to try it out again, but ran into some troubles in XFCE after I decided to uninstall Gnome...
It seems some menu icons and icons in the "Settings" window were lost...no big deal but it's ugly. How do I rebuild these again? I tried reinstalling XFCE but with no results.
    Thanks.

  • Xperia T menu icons touch problem after Jelly Bean upgrade

    I have Xperia T upgraded to jelly bean 4.1.2 Build Number 9.1.A.0.489 kernel version 3.4.0-g5b052b2-00759-gd9ee069 - Mon Jan 14 15:29:55 2013
After tap my menu icons in jelly bean there is no action. ex. Settings, Messages icon tap.
After switch on developer options -> show layout bounds - it's shown that icons (blue square) are covering the touch area (pink square) and not pushing touch events to action areas, only bouncing but without action. When touching both blue and pink area with finger icons works fine, with touching only blue areas no action. Every other touch are ok.
    Is it common issue ?
    Thanks.

I think this only happens when you enable that under development options. Have you tried to turn that off and check if this still remains?

  • On a kindle fire, there is no menu icon or settings icon, how do I get to settings

I have a kindle fire tablet, 8.9 hd. Just downloaded aurora and there is no apparent way to go to settings. When I tap the icon on aurora all it shows is " share", there is not a device menu icon on this screen, how do I get to settings?

    Hi bluesky4me,
Sometimes Aurora will include a menu icon near the top-right of the screen - it will look like three vertical dots. If you tap that, settings should be right in there - though you may to scroll down a little to see them.
If you don't see the three dots button, then Aurora has detected that there is a (physical or virtual) device menu button.
On Kindles, I believe the button is in the black bar at the bottom of the screen. If the bar is hidden, you can swipe up to see it.
There's more info in your device manual (pages 8 and 9)

    Subject: Menu Icons Display Strange
    Hi again
Hmmm, new install. Aside from the funky icons does it seem to function?
What is your operating system? Vista, Windows 7, Windows XP and how many bits? 32 or 64.
Note that Adobe has no version of Captivate that has been blessed and purported to run flawlessly on 64 bit systems. We are seeing more and more folks arrive here that are using 64 bit systems and citing all manner of issues. Mostly surrounding capture and audio.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Dreamweaver CS3 menu icons not displaying

I just recently reinstalled my OS X and CS3 Suite with the original CDs because there were some issues with Illustrator unexpectedly closing before it had even opened the desired file. The reinstalls went without problem on all applications in the suite except Dreamweaver; the application menu icons are now replaced "broken image link" icons, and my ftp connect button has disappeared as well.
Here is a screen shot of what I'm looking at in the Dreamweaver interface:
    http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e120/wbelyea/Screenshot2011-04-28at123001PM.png
I have tried repairing/reinstalling the application by itself and the entire suite, but I am still getting the same result, and only in Dreamweaver.
I have also tried clearing the .plist file and cache, but that hasn't helped either.
Has anyone heard of this happening before? I've had a difficult time finding anything similar on the forums.
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Will

I've just repaired permissions(without issue), and did a quick Disk Verify after that, this what came back:
    Invalid volume file count
(It should be 615725 instead of 615726)
    Invalid volume directory count
(It should be 173801 instead of 173800)
The volume Hugonaut HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.
[could this be the cause of the issue?]
Yes that could definitely be the root of the issue. Put your OSX disc or disc that came with your Mac and boot up to that.  Run the disk repair utility from the menu at the top of the screen (you don't need to re-install OSX).  See if it can be fixed.
And just a friendly reminder, make a backup of really important data before doing too much more.

  • Finder Menu Icons Missing

My finder menu Icons are missing this all began after I was in a login screen and ran a micro fiber cloth across the keyboard. Since then I have lost all my menu icons and boot up takes five minutes this is a Brand new 27" IMac (February 2014) running Mavericks OSX 10.9.2
I have repaired Pemissions and deleted the finder.plist
Anyone have any idea whats going on? Any Ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • Menu icons (time, battery, etc) keep disappearing and reappearing

The menu icons in the upper right corner (battery, internet, time, etc) keep flashing on and off and are not accessible. This started yesterday and, in addition to the flashing icons, iTunes no longer recognizes or syncs with my iPhone or iPad. Any suggestions before I trek out to the Genius Bar?? Thanks!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
The genius bar may be your best bet, but you could try booting from your install disc and repairing your Boot Disk. Also check to see that the SMART status of the hard drive is verified.
    Good luck!

For ex mostly ABAPers will not have authorisation to some transactions like SU01,SM01 etc.Once we try to see this transaction we will get an message

  • I got a warning message ("Author not verified") when trying to download Menu Icons Plus, is it safe to download?

I want to place a different icon on specific bookmarks when I open the Bookmarks list. I clicked on the Bookmarks icon drop-down menu and then clicked on "Get Bookmarks Add-ons" and tried to download "Menu Icons Plus," that's when I got some warnings about Firefox preventing that site from asking me to install it on my computer. Then I got the "Author not verified" message.
I'm on an iMac desktop computer, OS 10.6.8

I finally was able to install the Menu Icon Plus Add-ons, or so it appeared because a window with a progress bar saying it was installing it came up. But when I followed the next instructions (shown in the "Uploaded images" window below and selected the Menu Icons Plus (from the Add-ons Manager), a window appeared with "Menu Icons Plus 2.4" in it but there was no "Options button."
I then clicked on the Preferences box at the lower left , which brought up a Menu Items window but I couldn't get it to do anything or set different Preferences. (I also had already restarted Firefox as instructed, to no avail.) What do I do now to use the Add-ons?
