Menu is missing in Galaxy tab 2.1 (GT-5110) using latest downloads.

I have just downloaded and installed Firefox for Android latest version on my Galaxy tab 2.1. The menu at the bottom does not appear and I can't seem to access any of those features. Any suggestions.

Just uninstalled old version and downloaded and installed version for GT-5110 still the same. No menu icon at bottom of screen. (Sorry my device is Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, not what I said above.)

I have downloaded ADE to my laptop, and authorized that computer. I was told to deactivate, attach the Galaxy and the authorize again, and the Galaxy should show up. This does not happen - and I have done this a couple of times. What steps am I missing?

  • How can I bring up the menu to save as pdf if my tablet (galaxy tab 2 7.0) does not have a menu button /

I'm trying to use Firefox 10.0.5 on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 which is running Ice Cream Sandwich. My problem is I can't get to any of the menu functions, escpecially the 'save as pdf' because there is no menu key. I can't get the tablet version because it's a 7" tablet. I have tried the Beta (14) but it doesn't have a cookie manager like 10 does. Anything I can do ?

I have one particular site that happens to be a bank. It will not let me get the full desktop view, only mobile. Even with the phony addon that makes it think it's the desktop version of firefox. I'm assuming it's because it set a cookie but my only choice in v14 is to clear all cookies and passwords and I don't want to do that. There are cookie managers in v10 that let you delete certain cookies as oppossed to all cookies.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 and Galaxy Tab 3 - cannot print wirelessly

    Hello
I would be very grateful for help with the following issue.
I have an HP Deskjet 2540 and a Galaxy Tab 3 (Android) and wish to print wirelessly from the tablet.
I have installed the ePrint app and the ePrint All-in One Remote app on the tablet.
In order to print I have to change the tablet's wifi connection from my home wifi to the printer's wifi which means that I cannot print straight from the internet.
I have tried saving web pages and then printing i.e not using the home wifi but a message appears on the tablet saying " Connect to Samsung printer".
My question is therefore, how do you print when you can only have one wireless connection on the tablet at a time i.e either the home wifi or the printer? Every time I want to print, do I have to change the wifi connection on my tablet from my home wifi to the printer's?
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hi Sujo,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you are unable to print web pages from your Android Galaxy Tab 3 tablet because you are using the printer’s wireless direct feature which does not have internet connectivity.
Let’s get the printer connected to your home wireless network.  If you have a computer running a Window or Mac operating system it’s fairly easy to connect the printer.  Please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for the operating system that is running on your computer.
If you only have your tablet available, please follow the steps in the post by @Jon-W titled “How can I setup a Deskjet 3050a/J611 to my Chromebox?”.  Please start where he says “There is another alternative but it can be hit or miss”.
Once you have the printer connected to your wireless network you should be able to print web pages as both devices will now be connected to your wireless network.  Please let me know how it goes.

  • 'Save as' in Adobe Reader app? (Samsung Galaxy tab)

My tech will be using a Samsung Galaxy tab installed with Adobe Reader to fill-in forms I created from Adobe Acrobat X Pro.  We are using DropBox to 'share' the files.  The only option I am missing is a 'save as' feature on the Adobe Reader app.  I've already extended all the rights of the pdf forms to Reader so according to all the forums, he should have full functionality.  HOW CAN I 'SAVE AS' once he has filled out the form so he can use it for multiple equipment???

I don't believe this is possible. You might want to try to have each individual email you the file once they complete the form.

  • Which is the suitable flash player version for galaxy tab 3

Hi , i'm using galaxy tab 3 vertion 4.1.2 and stil unable to watch any movie through putlocker site.i alredy had installed flash manually fr the device but still it says,"important codec n plug-in missing".pls help..

    Galaxy Tabs use Android.
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

  • Label menu names missing

    Hi friends,
I've got a requirement for preparing dashboards, where i have to use label menu for showing different units data using bar charts.
so when i am giving those unit names(18 units) for label menu list, label names on dashboards are missing i.e are appearing partially in menu.
    in clear
if unit name is: network -> netwo. i think these names are missing partially because of label size. i tried to maximise(width) of labels buts its not working.
so what should i do to get complete names on label menu for all units.
    please assist me in this.....
    thanks
    ram

    Hi Rambabu,
You can change its Orientation from Horizontal to Vertical from GENERAL tab of its Properties.
If you don't want to change orientation then you can use 2 Horizontal Label Based Menu to adjust your all tabs by keeping half Units in first label menu and other half Units in second label menu..

  • Galaxy tab "audible touch tones" setting (or lack there of)

Since there is no "audible touch tones" setting for the keyboard-to silence the clicking sound whenever you type a letter or number (other than turning off the system sound altogether) - is there an app that can do this or some other solution someone has found?
    Thank you

Good morning fan4HH. You are able to turn of the sounds you hear when entering text when using Swype. To do so, tap:
Menu>Settings>Language and Keyboard>Swype>Audio Feedback>Off. This will disable the sounds you hear when entering text. To confirm, this information was located on page 115 of your Galaxy Tab's User Manual.
    Thanks,

  • Hp deskjet 2540, Samsung galaxy tab 3 printing

'Use the printer wirelessly without a router' page and 'hp all in one remote, print quality report' both printed very clearly and seemed promising.
I have since printed a document with two different apps
Polaris office 4 printed it boldly but with poor detail both as .doc and .pdf
HP ePrint printed with fine quality but very faint given the document was written with a bold font when printed as a.doc, and as a .pdf, printed boldly but with the same poor quality as polaris. Furthermore, since printing a pdf with ePrint I can only print a pdf and not a doc even though I have  un installed and reinstalled the app.
How is it possible for two prints of the same document to be so different?
Is it possible to alter the settings of the printer?
Is there an app compatible between Samsung and hp that works better than the ones mentioned above?
Please consider the fact I do not have a router or home Internet.

  • Galaxy tab (7")---limits on installation of third party programs?

I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet (the older but cute and so user-friendly 7" size).
My q uestion is what limits are there (aside from storage space), if any, on what types of third party (non-Android market) programs can be installed.
Can any program installable on a laptop be installed on the Galaxy 7" tablet?
What about a 210 MB foreign language program?
And how to do it . . . ?  I can see that a direct download would be feasible but what about installing from a CD or DVD?  The 7" tablet does not have a USB slot, so . . . what---install the program onto the laptop and then transfer it to a micro SD card and then put that into the Galaxy---and then how to get into into the innards of the tablet?
Is installation of such programs feasible or is it likely to fail or create problems?

You have to go to Menu -> Settings -> Applications and then check "Unknown Sources" before you can install non-market applications.
The Galaxy Tab comes with a USB cord, you can just plug that directly into your computer to load apps onto the SD card.  Or, you can get an adapter and plug the MicroSD card into the PC directly, either way works.
Also, like the other poster said, the app has to actually be intended to run on an Android device or it just wont work.

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Questions

I played with the Galaxy Tab at the Verizon store.  I really liked it.  But noticed that the Android Market, the Media Hub and the Reader's Hub was missing.
Will the Verizon version of the Galaxy Tab have the Android Market, the Media Hub and the Reader's Hub?

The demo Galaxy Tab at my local store had the Market and Media Hub, and both are listed as features in Verizon's Galaxy Tab's manual.
As I recall, Samsung's press releases said the US versions would ship with other eBookstores, rather than the Kobo-powered Reader's Hub.

  • Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi Connection

    Hello,
I just gave my wife a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for Christmas and she loves it.  The issue we are having with it is that I can connect to the Verizon network but not my home network.  It takes my network password but then just continuously says "Obtaining IP Address..." but will not connect.  Also, I have my laptop sitting next to me and it shows full connection bars but the tablet only shows 1 bar.  Is there a setting I am missing someplace?
    Tablet Information
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE
    Android Version 3.1
    Network Information
    Security Mode: WPA/WPA2-Personal(PSK)
    Wireless mode: 11+b+g+n
    Thanks

    Hello daystrom5!
I know it's aggravating not being able to connect to your WiFi network with your Galaxy Tab.  I would like to assist with getting you connected.
I would like to suggest a few troubleshooting steps.  First, disable the mobile network data.  Then, I would like for you to turn "ON" WiFi.  Last, follow these steps to correctly Setup the WiFi Connection.  Just ensure the appropriate authentication protocol is set, matching the WiFi security protocol of your home WiFi network.  You should now be able to connect to your home WiFi network.
Please let me know how this works out for you.
    Thanks,
