Menu / List with images ?

Hi webmates... I'd ike to create a menu/list with small icons
inside , for example countries with small flags, etc etc. is that
possible ? how ? thanks in advance !

Q:Lists with images not working for me

Gang,
I am tryingto create a main page with a anumber of images pointing to different URLs. The main page is basically a list with images tied to it, pretty straightforward.
However, I can't get the images to be displayed at all. Check out the test app here:

The workspace name is ANDYTEST.
The images are loaded and are not associated to any application. If I check the source of the page I get the following:
img src="/i/themes/generic_list.gif" width="128" height="128"
And the width and height part is something that I have added to the attribute of the list entry.
What am I doing wrong, andy ideas is excellent!

Hello,
The list template has a generic image so when the end developer (you) first implements a dropdown list you don't see a broken image.
What you need to do is edit the List templat and take the image tag that looks like this
<img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/generic_list.gif" #IMAGE_ATTR# />and make it this
<img src="#IMAGE#" #IMAGE_ATTR# />I fixed up your example and you can see the images now.

I can't remove Yandex Elements from the Open menu list with right mouse button and Tools menu although I removed Yandex. I think it slows down Firefox.

I downloaded Freeyoutube downloader from internet and somehow got yandex installed in my computer with toolbars on firefox.Despite I removed Yandex from my computer Yandex elements still stays in open menu when right mouse button clicked and in the Tools menu. I tried to uninstall Firefox, remove yandex registry from windows registry and restart computer, and then reinstall firefox, Yandex elements still hangs there. Firefox is now running very slow compared to the running before Yandex.

Form Pulldown List with Images?

I thought I had seen this done online before, but can't seem to find any information on how to do it...I want to make a form with a pulldown list for color options. I want there to be text (color names) plus a small image showing a color sample. Is this possible to do, or am I dreaming? Thanks in advance!

Menu/List with link

How could i make menu of charts at right side of page, and if i click on each chart link the corresponding chart page should open, and i need to have the menu in all chart pages.

You can create a List in the shared components (i.e. of the type vertical sidebar list). Each item in the list referes to a page with a chart.
On those pages you create a List Region, and link it to the list you've created before.
You can use position 3 to place this region, becouse this places the region on the right side of the page.

Horizontal menu bar with image dropdowns works perfectly in Safari & Chrome but . . .

Specifically, the vertical spacing between the .gifs at the tertiary menu level -- hover over services / project types. In Safari and Chrome the .gifs all butt up against each other properly, which I achieved with the block property after much trial and error. But there's still separation between them when viewed in IE and FF.
I would greatly appreciate any wisdom from the forum.

Hi Beth, I have been going crazy on this end with the Sub Menus showing up at the top of the Internet Explorer Browser. They work fine in FF and Chrome...

Replacing bullets with images

Are there plans to add the option of replacing the bullets in a bulleted list with images, as you can do in Word? Our current workaround is to insert the image as a background image through the CSS with appropriate spacing, but this isn't very accurate.

Since the rendering of bullets is up to the browser, we don't have much control over that other than what the browser can provide. According to CSS, I believe the correct style to use would be "list-style-image," but it is not well-supported, and the ICE browser in OHJ does not currently support it.
I am not sure what MS Word does, but when you save a Word file as HTML, it does all sorts of strange things to the HTML. For example, a quick test showed that saving a list (with custom bullets) as HTML created a series of P elements with things like <span style='font-family:Symbol'>^<span
style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span>
You could do things like that, too, but it isn't good HTML.

Yes, it seems pretty obvious that you would have to replace all for of them otherwise in that condition the generic one would show up.
But to spell it out you need to replace in . List Template Current , List Template Current with Sub List Items , List Template Noncurrent , List Template Noncurrent with Sub List Items.
This is one of those thngs you should have just tried it took me longer to type all this out than it would have taken you to test.

Drop Down Menu with images in Muse and Animate

Hello,
i am trying to create a drop down menu with images as you can see on this website:

In Adobe Muse the menu with all pages in it doesn't let me insert pictures.
With the empty composition widget i archived something similar but when once activated the action it doesn't close.
My last try was to build a menu in Edge Animate. The Problem i had was that when i used the action click, open URL.
Inserted in Muse the new page opens in the created animation and not on the same page fullscreen.
What have i done wrong?

I am having a similar problem. I have multiple widgets on a page -- menus, accordions, tooltips, slideshows. As soon as I 'activate' a widget (eg: expand an accordion or play a slideshow) it disables all the triggers below it, as well as all the hyperlinks. This seems like a bug... I hope there's a workaround?

I cannot access Adobe Camera Raw Plug-in although it's listed in CS6 "PHOTOSHOP" menu along with my other plug ins. And I can't find it on my iMAC (10.9.5)

In CS6, how do I access the Adobe Camera Raw plug in that's listed with my other (easily accessible) plug ins: I can't find it through "automate", or "Filter" or "extensions".. I am on iMAC 10.9.5 (Mavericks)

I believe camera raw as a filter is CC only. You can access camera raw by selecting a raw, tiff or jpg image from your drive. Raw is the only one that will open by default. You must tell camera raw to open tiff and jpg in the preferences.
You can also use file>open or file>place then specify camera raw as file type. In this case it will open any of the three formats without changing the preferences.
Once the image is in Photoshop, it should be a smart object if you choose open as object instead of open as image in camera raw. As a smart object, you can double click on the thumbnail in the layers panel. This will open camera raw with that image.

Is it possible to replace the folder image in the bookmarks list with little images to help identify the folder. I see that many places I have bookmarked automatically come with a little picture (the CBS "eye", New York Times Old English Script).

When I open my list of bookmarks most of the folders I have established have only the little file folder icon to the left. I would like to replace this file folder with some little picture or symbol to make the folders more easily identifiable. Is this possible?

There aren't extensions that can replace the favicon of a bookmarks folder AFAIK, so you will have to do that via code in userChrome.css in the chrome folder below the @namespace line.

Problems with "Image adjustments" in print menu

I am having roblems with "Image adjustments" in the Aperture print menu. When I try to use Brightness, Contrast or Saturation in the Image Ajustment section of the Print menu I get a white screen where my photo to print had been. When I uncheck the Image Ajustments block my photo returns.
Has anyone else had this problem, and/or can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks in advance

Does it happen with all images? If so create a new library import an image into it and see if the problem still happens.
If it happens with a new library try a doing it as a different user. Either use the Guest account or make a new user, make a nee library, import an image and try it.
If it happens with just the one library try a library repair. If it happens with multiple libraries but just in the one user account try moving the Aperture preference file out.
If it happens with he new user also try reinstalling Aperture.
See Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics for direction on doing a repair or moving the preference file.

Clean up Finder contextual "Open With" menu list

This is an annoying 'feature' of the Finder in OS X. As you install/upgrade applications the contextual menu "Open With" gets bloated with multiple programs including programs you've deleted, plus multiple versions of programs you've upgraded. For example for JPEGs I have three entries for ImageWell.

Anyone know how to:
a) Clean up the list of shown apps fully
b) Optionally restrict the list to applications shown to only those which you wish to have come up. For example don't show Apple Pages for .TXT files only TextEdit and TextMate.

You can adjust it to Leopard's structure using the 'locate lsregister' command in Terminal. This yielded...
