Menu music volume level set?

anyone know how or if you can change the volume of the menu page music? I dropped in a piece as a menu asset. It sound a little soft. There is no metering in this program either. I'd like to be able to raise or lower the volume much as you can do in Final Cut with keyframe overlays in the timeline.
thx

Hi David
You'll have to do this outside DVDSP then replace the old asset. DVDSP is not an editor..

  • Normalization of Music Volume Level on To

I am wondering if there is a way that I can transfer my tracks to my player making the volume level constant between all tracks. I don?t think media source can? So, now with Play For Sure, is there something out there that will do this? Will Notmad?
I don?t care if I have to transcode it's And is there something that will transfer .pls or .m3u playlists?

which is actually gaining my music right in this moment.
big advantage of mp3gain: it actually changes the files itself, so any player, wmp, winamp, mediamonkey or hardwareplayer will play in the correct volume.

  • Gnome3 volume level set to 0 after restart

I believe pulseaudio is involved, but I have no idea how to fix it.
There is an old post from this forum that suggests enabling alsa daemon will fix it, but there is no /etc/rc.d/alsa for me. But alsa is installed:
    # pacman -Qs alsa
    local/alsa-lib 1.0.25-1
An alternative implementation of Linux sound support
    local/alsa-plugins 1.0.25-1
    Extra alsa plugins

  • Lumia 620 music volume not changing..

I've lumia 620,sometimes the music volume is set on constant level but it is only for audio songs(downloaded from Nokia music or pc ). But if i play music from nokia music/or play videos,games,metrotube... The volume does changes except for music from music+videos. Restarting phone stops the issue for time being but it can not be a solution because it happens every day.(i have tried reseting the phone from settings->about) it doesn't solve the issue.

Go to nokia care when you are facing the problem DO NOT RESTART THE PHONE..(otherwise the issue will be solved for time being)... they will do so called software update..(its like formatting the phone only rarely a firmware update)  and the issue will be solved for some time but that is not a long term solution..(the issue comes again after some time).... i did it twice now gonna do it 3rd time if the issue pick again i am gonna pull them to consumer court...

  • My music drops volume level when I get a notification, and won't return to the volume level it was set at until I get another notification

When ever I get notification from fb/messenger/emails, my music volume lowers by some margin, and will not return to the set level until I receive another notification. I try attempting to turn it up but the volume is at its highest limit.
How can this be fixed? Is anyone else having this problem?

Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time.  If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking theDevices tab, and enabilng the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else,  authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account.  In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc.  For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases.  For all other nonpurchased iTunes content, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering different software availbable to assist you with this task.

Once the backup has been made and all other synced content such as music, videos, and photos are back in your iTunes library, restore your iPod from that backup you made earlier.  Here is more on backing up and restoring your iPod.

  • How can a consistent volume level be set for all the songs in an iTunes library?

The volume of the songs in my iTunes library varies significantly when played on my iPod.  Is there any way of setting a consistent/equal volume for the songs in my library so that I don't have to change the volume level when listening to my iPod?

I have used the $30 iVolume utility to equalize my iTunes song's volume for several years and it works well. I just wish it worked for music videos.  iVolume is available on the Mac  App Store, or you can try before you buy at the developer's site: http://www.mani.de/en/ivolume/index.html

  • Which EQ setting + volume level is the most 'clear'?

    Hi
Just got an iPod Classic this week (my first ever Apple Product other than iTunes). It's replacing a 30G player from another company from 2006 (ran out of room) that had really good sound. With a simple pair of JVC Marshmallow earbuds, the right mid-volume and the right EQ setting, I could hear all the musical instruments clearly and somewhat equally and the singer's voice was clear as well, as if we were in the same room.
I'd like to recreate this with my iPod Classic but I've noticed the EQ isn't customizable (unless I'm missing something) and that with some of the iPod's EQ settings I can hear instruments clearly but the vocals sound muffled, almost like they're dubbed from another source. But there's other settings (Vocal) where the singer comes in clear but the instruments are muffled in that dubbed way. I've tried Flat and Off but results with those vary.
My old player's EQ was set at a reverse of the iPod's Rock setting, lowest bars on the outside and highest in the middle. Is it possible to load an EQ setting like that from iTunes? If you can download a game, can you download an EQ setting?
AND is there a certain volume level where that 'same room' clarity shines through? Anything lower than 11 out of 20 on my old player and it would lose that clarity (anything higher than 13/20 was too loud). 12 was just right. If that makes any sense.
Or could it have something to do with how a song is ripped from a CD? Which is what my music collection started out as.
I'm hoping someone can help and shed some light on this for me. I got it engraved so I can't exactly return it. haha
    tangcameo

Most audiophiles, switch off the iPod Classic EQ as it is crap, most probably designed by some team who like bubble-gum music. but if you must use, create a custom EQ presets

But try not to boost up greater than zero db, the new iPod audio chipset don't like it, your music will sound like something from some Oriental Opera, of course, unless you like the metallic tin highs.

  • Audio level setting for music tracks in dance recital video project

I am editing dance recital using the CD music tracks and editing in the audience clapping, some of the music tracks have lower audio level than others.
I am setting up the audio levels between -3dB (for the lower audio tracks) up to -6dB (for the higher ones) including the audience clapping. I am making the adjustments by listening to the tracks on fixed output volume level.
My question is if the final output (DVD) will have the the same adjusted audio levels I am hearing, or should I just stick to fixed level (-6dB) for all the tracks? If so is -6dB ideal for DVD output?

    Thanks for your reply Steve,
I normally watch DVDs on different sound system than the TV, however, from your answer I gather you're setting the master level -18 to -20db. If it is so, are you setting the individual tracks below that, and in my case where the audio levels of the original music fluctuate from high to low, would you set them all on the same level or adjust to hear them out the same?

  • Music volume slider shows "speaker" setting during "earphone" playback

A volume setting is stored for playback through the iPhone's speaker, and another for when earphones are plugged in.
I have noticed since updating to iOS 5.1 that the volume slider in the Music app sometimes displays the "speaker" level during "earphone" playback when switching between the two modes.
Although the slider displays the incorrect volume level, the playback is at the earphone setting's volume, not the displayed volume.
N.B. I have an iPhone 3GS, and the performance of the Music app has degraded with each iOS update; this seems to be due to the core software growing more complex. It is possible that there is just a very long delay between loading the Music app, it recognising the earphones are plugged in, and the volume slider widget being updated accordingly. I will report back with more clarification after more observation.

    *** UPDATE ***
    THIS PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED.
I thought it was purely a performance issue that was delaying the update of the volume slider. However, I've recently observed the slider displaying the speaker volume permanently with the headphones plugged in.
Locking and unlocking the screen caused the slider to refresh.
"Discussions" does not allow me to undo the "Solve" flag above. All I can do is state that this is an open issue here.

  • Setting individual volume levels per song

If i set my song volume levels individually through itunes. When i transfer them to my iphone will they be set at that level?
Also if the songs are already on my iphone and i change each a volume level on one particular song through itunes. When i plug in my iphone to itunes will itunes recognize that i have changed that songs volume level and correct it on my iphone?

    1. Yes. Sound Check is supposed to do as you suggest, but it mangles the sound sometimes. I avoid it for this reason.
    2. Yes. Usually the tracks for a given album are balanced well against each other. If, for example, you know a particular album is quiet, you can select all tracks in the album and boost their volume.
I'm sure iVolume works well for lots of people. My experience wasn't good. I used iVolume over two years ago and it didn't work with my protected music bought from the iTunes Store. I used iVolume's recommended setting at the time (can't remember what it was), and it made everything much more quiet than the protected music. Perhaps its algorithm or default is better now. If you use it, test it on a few tracks and then play them next to your protected tracks...

  • When I set all the tracks in the latest Garageband to the same volume levels and save, when I open the file again they've changed back to a previous setting?

I'm trying to mix a recording in the latest 2014 version of Garageband, but when I set all the tracks in the latest Garageband to the same volume levels and save, when I open the file again they've changed back to a previous setting? Does anyone know why it changes even after saving the file?
    Below is my iMac settings.

Do you have a back up?
If not you're into using file recovery software like  File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

  • Leveling Music Volume in a Slide Show

I have created a wmv file of a slide show to play using Windows Media Player. The music for the show consists of several songs. They have noticeably different volume levels. Is there a way, in PSE7, to level the volume among the songs?

You would need to do this in an audio program before bringing it into PSE.

  • Setting default volume level.

I have a 2nd Gen Nano which I am using in my car. I have an OEM adapter which connects to the iPod through the dock adapter and allows the car's stereo controls to operate the iPod. (The stereo thinks it's a really big CD changer.)
My problem is that the sound level from the iPod is significantly lower than that from either the radio or the actual CD changer, so when I have finished listening to the iPod I have to be careful and remember to crank the volume way down or else the radio blasts when I select a different source.
Looking at the iPod I have made sure that the volume limit is set to maximum, and I am confident that I don't have a EU crippled unit since the sound level through the earbuds is plenty loud even at half volume and keeps going up from there.
The thing is that when it first wakes up the volume level is always set to 50% on the slider. I cannot manually change the volume level when connected to the car because when it's connected to the adapter the iPod's controls don't work (besides it is mounted in a fairly inaccessible location), but I don't even know if doing so would help since it communicates with the stereo through the dock connector.
My question is: Does the iPod's volume control have any effect on the signal level out through the dock connector, and if so is there a way to permanently adjust the default volume level the unit uses when it starts up? What I'd like to do is set the default volume level on the iPod to, say, 75% or whatever will balance it with the other source input levels that the car stereo uses. I tried adjusting the volume manually and then sliding the lock switch to 'Lock' but it didn't work.
    Thanks in advance.

This sounds like the problem that I'm experiencing and <a href-"http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=2694517#2694517">aske d about a couple of days ago. The sound level resets to 50% after shutdown.
I tried setting the levels in Audio MIDI Set Up as suggested above, but that hasn't changed anything.
In answer to B_web, I am running my external speakers through the headphone jack.
    So, any other suggestions?

  • Setting/Controlling volume levels

I'd like to know what you guys do for volume levels.
I have the system volume, iTunes volume, and my Bose volume knob.
Basically, rather than worry about three volumes, I set my system volume and my iTunes volume to max, then just controll the overall volume with my Bose volume pod. This seems to work great.
I don't want to spend my day worrying about 3 different volume levels:)
    Bryan

That sounds like a good idea. No pun intended. I don't like to set my sound set up to max, because I think it does not give you the best sound. Whenever I use source sound without amp to max (like a walkman), I notice that receiver or a sound device has noise or static to it. I like to set the source to medium and play with receiver or speakers for adjusting volume.
