Menu of ipod mini isnt working

The menu of my ipod mini isn't working. I have tried resetting it, and the menu comes back on, but I can't get back to it after I pick one song, I have to reset it again. Does any one know how to help me?

My name is Nikki, and I have an Ipod mini that has recently started doing the same thing. I just spent some time looking through the Apple website and haven't found anything to address this issue. So as I am very unhelpful to you, I also am having the same problem. I just reset mine and played a song and it did take me back to the menu after playing a song, however; it is still plugged into my computer. Meanwhile, hopefully someone may be able to provide some answers, and I will let you know what happens in the next few days of using my mini. Goodluck.

IPod mini only works with car charger!

My iPod mini only works when it is plugged into a car charger. It is 4 months old. It does not work (frozen - no response or display at all) on its own, or plugged into the AC charger, or the USB connection on the computer. I have tried the reset procedure several times and with different power connections with no results. The iPod seems perfectly fine when using a car charger otherwise nothing! Whats going on!!?!?!

Try to reset it.
Press and hold the MENU and CENTER buttons - at the same time - until you see the Apple logo. This should take about 6 seconds. Also, you want to do this procedure while your iPod is connected to your computer. Ipods are supposed to work with USB port cable and AC Adapters, not only car chargers.
If this doesn't work, then try to update it using iPod Updater software. Open iPod Update, plug in your iPod to your computer and wait until the software recognizes it. Once it does, you should be able to click on the "Update" button. If you can't, click "Restore"

Second hand ipod mini- not working?

I ordered a used ipod mini off amazon cos it was cheap and it won't work. I've charged it for 4 hours like it says and when i turn it on it shows ther apple icon then it goes to a language screne. sometimes it lets me scroll through the languages nd others it just does nothing. Also when i select a language nothing happens? i've tried reseting it but that makes no difference.
Sometiems when i turn it on it shows a battery with a exclamation mark! what does this mean? i fully charged it so do i need a new battery?
I did once get past the language screne 2 the menu but i wouldn't let me play my songs that i put on it.

Try Restoring the iPod with the most recent iPod Updater (version 1.4.1 I believe). To get it, click the iPod+iTunes link at the top of this screen, then scroll down on the left.

I am not exactly sure what the battery symbol you described means, but I'm sure if you searched the iPod forums for something like "Battery with exclamation point" you would find it.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Apple store says ipod mini not working b/c not using usb port 2.0 - true?

My ipod mini (a year old) is frozen/can't be charged. Apple store guy said because I've been using usb port 1.1 and that it is supposed to be used with usb port 2.0. Tells me won't send in for replacement (out of warranty anyway) unless I first update my computer with USB 2.0 card. Is this true?

It's better to use 2.0 because it's faster.
Try resetting it, hold the center [select] button and the menu button until the Apple logo appears. or let the battery die, and then plug it in.

Drill Down to Album Menu Makes Ipod Mini Die

Hi everyone,
I have a NEW problem with my Ipod Mini that just started in the last couple of days.
It'll play on shuffle with no problem, but if I want to listen to a particular album and go to the "Album" menu, as soon as I click on play, the thing dies.
Completely.
This morning it took me 29 minutes of fiddling with the thing to finally get it to reset.
Is there anything that can be done for this?

Ok, I was wrong.
It's not just when I drill down to the "Album" menu, but if I touch the wheel wrong when it's in a bad mood.
It'll even happen if I twist the headphone jack.
Any ideas?

Mac OS 9 - iTunes for iPod mini doesnt work,what do??

last week i bought an iPod mini,but iTunes 4.7 which is on the iPod cd doesnt work (the iPod mini software also not),i think because my mac is too old.
so were can i get iTunes plus the iPod mini software which runs on my macintosh?

There is no version of iTunes for Mac OS 9 that will work with the iPod mini. The last version of iTunes for Mac OS 9 is version 2.04, and that will only work with first and second generation full-size iPods, plus third-generation full-size iPods which are running version 2.0x of the firmware. All third-generation iPods and iPod shuffles can be used as an external hard disk in the Finder. Mac OS 9's iPod updater will only work with first and second generation full-size iPods.

my ipod mini is not working at all.
It won't turn on and it won't recharge.
When i plug it in it says it does not recognize the USB.. does this mean i need a new USB cord? I don't want to waste my money on buying a new one if i don't need it.

my ipod mini is showing the apple logo, a sad face and then a battery sign with a fire bolt when i try plugging it into the computer. also, my computer wont recognize it at all. I've tried resetting and restoring it many times but its not working. what should i do!?!?!?!?! I've tried to make an appointment with the Genius Bar but they are too busy and my warrenty expires really soon!!

IPod Mini Stop Working After 1 Year ?

I've heard rumours that after a year of having your iPod Mini that the battery will stop working.
I have had mine just under a year and The Battery is starting to play up.
Can you please tell me whether the rumours are true and how I can fix my iPod.

If your iPod battery play time is really that bad, then my advice to you would be to send it off to Apple before the warranty runs out for a battery replacement.
Fill out the service request.

HELP ME!! iPod mini not working

ok.. my iPod is not working.. i try to turn it on and all that comes up is the apple logo.. and it makes this really loud whirring sound.. the apple logo goes away and then the little sad ipod icon comes up and it turns off.. i dont know what else to do.. i have tried charging it and connecting it to my computer.. i have tried manually resetting it but it wont work.. i cant restore it using the computer because it does not connect.. somebody please help me!

well first off I would contact apple and see what they say.. if they will fix it, how much it could/would cost etc. If they wont help you I suggest going with a ipod repair company.. something like www.ipodmods.com or www.ipodresq.com. Get in touch with them add see again if they are willing to look at it and how much it will/could cost..

My mail app on my ipod touch isnt working

my mail app isnt working and i dont know what to do, i touched my mail app and i have had it set up for at least 2 or 3 months and when i go to the mail app it says something like this account info cant be found, try going to settings and enter your account info. so i did and turned it off and came back and STILL hasn't worked, can anyone help me please?

it also says this when i open it " the mail server imap.smail.com is not responding try going to the mail,contacts,calenders in the settings" i've tried that, any suggestions?
