Menu scrolling help

Ive been using this menu-widget on my test site here at home: http://muse.adobe.com/widget/composition-menu-horizontal-macdonald
ive also been working off of this tutorial: http://creativedroplets.com/adobe-muse-tips-scrolling-menu/
Unfortuently the "Fixed" positioning is not working. I followed the tutorial exactly and it just wont work. I even tried to export the html/script files and try and make the menu fixed, but there is always a scrolling effect no matter what. I actually downloaded the files from that tutorial and even the fixed example still scroll downs with the page...

Please publish to a free trial site on Business Catalyst and provide the URL so we can take a look. It may also be helpful to post a screenshot of your Motion settings in the Scroll Effects panel.

    It results in left-menu-scrolling:
    but not even in InDesign, but also in whole Adobe Suite, and today i found out that it appears also in Windows:
    Is it possible, could it be connected with this script? Or is it some kind of a virus?
    I know it sounds impossible, but it really appeared on computers after this script was added.
    Thanks for help.

    Before we go any further, you need to upgrade to the latest version of Spry.
    The latest version of the Adobe Spry Framework is 1.6.1, this is the same version that ships with Dreamweaver CS4. If you use Dreamweaver CS3 (uses Spry 1.4), its wise to upgrade your files to the latest version. This can easily be done using the Spry Updater that can be found here.
    Once you have done that and you re-assign the values in the CSS files, please read the comments first as in

  • Popup Menu(F1- Help values) is not diaplying for a char at selection screen

    Hi,
    After executed the query, we are trying to get help (F4) values for info object Employee Group (EMPLGROUP) in the selection screen but it is taking long time nearly 1 hr and getting timed out. And for other Chars we are getting the help popup menu.
    for your info...
    There are only 6 values are there in Employee Group master data table.
    And the characteristic settings in Business Explorer tab are as the following,
    Display u2013 Text
    Text type u2013 Default
    BEx description u2013 Short description
    Selection u2013 No selection Restriction
    Query Def. Filter Value Selection u2013 Only values in Infoprovider
    Query Execution Filter Val. Selection u2013 Only Posted Values for Navigation
    Can any one please suggest us which settings we needs to change to get the popup menu (help values) for Employee Group at selection screen and what is the reason for not displaying the help popup menu?.
    and can any one explain us about the setting "Query Execution Filter Val. Selection u2013 Only Posted Values for Navigation"
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raju. E

    Hi,
    I am getting the data aslo for Employee Group in the query when I drill down that char.
    But I dont know why it is taking long time and getting time out to display the popup menu for help values at selection screen.
    I think this is due to the below setting only at char level,
    Query Execution Filter Val. Selection u2013 Only Posted Values for Navigation
    and there are 3 opstions for the above seeting as below,
    1. Only values in master data
    2. Only values in Infoprovider
    3. Only Posted Values for Navigation
    Can any one help me, which opstion will solve the issue and can any one explain me what is the difference between 2 & 3
    Thanks,
    Raju. E

  • Expanding menu bar help

    i have search for about 2-3hrs and cant figure out how to create a vertical expanding navigation bar like the one on www.louisvuitton.com on their main page there is a menu box on the right and when you put your mouse over it it expands allowing you to choose you country. i want to make this horizontal, not sure what this is called so i might have been searching for the wrong thing but any help in finding a tutorial would be great thanks

    You will lose a lot of Google's ability to map your site unless you submit a special site map to the search engine (see mine under www.aloe-vera.org/public_.xml ).
    To submit a sitemap to Google you need a google account (such as Gmail) and then go to: www.google.com/webmasters/tools to submit your sitemap.  This will help to balance having a Flash menu.
    I would love to see your menu when it is done!  Best wishes, David

  • Solar02 Docs to be called from ECC Trasanctions Menu - Application Help

    Hi All,
    As mentioned in subject, please guide me for the following:
    1. Process Docs are stored in Solar01 in SolMan.
    2. This Doc Type has status schema attached to it. So whenever a document is in status 'Released' it should be available for publishing.
    3. Whenever end user runs any transaction like VA01 and needs any help then he can go to Menu --> Application Help in same transaction (VA01) and the linked document should get opened from SolMan - Solar01.
    Any knowledge on this or project experiences, please share how this can be achieved.
    Regards,
    Suchit Malia

    Hi,
    I understand your point and that we have been following from years. End Users generally don't get sccess to SolMan and accessing documents from Application Help of ECC is simplest way to do..
    Experts, please advice how this can be achieved..if not through std.. then how w/ minimum involvement of development.
    Regards,

  • Flash Menu Style Help

    I need to build a flash based menu and want to learn how to
    do the same cool functionality that I see on the
    http://grandcentral.com website.
    Notice on the "features" menu how when you click on an item
    the arrow will scroll down to that menu item. I'd like to learn how
    to make a pointer move across multiple other items to get to the
    one that is being clicked on like that. I hope it is easy enough
    that I can do it!
    Any help is most appreciated as I have a project I'm doing
    right now that would really benefit from this.
    Thanks in advance!
    I work on a mac running osx and flash 8 pro.

    Flash menus (Flash navigation, period) is a terrible thing from a functional standpoint. It looks really nice, but the honeymoon ends there. As far as SEO goes, your entire site, beyond the landing page, is invisible. A search robot will only see an embeded Flash object.
    You have to ask yourself a basic question.
    1. What is the purpose of building a website and putting it online?
    If it's for your own personal enjoyment and nothing more, then a Flash menu may be for you. If it's for a business or band, or a political group or social group, and you want people to be able to find it in Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. then you want as many indexible links as possible on your landing page so they will show up in related searches like schedules, articles, galleries, etc.

  • How do I make my Spry Accordion menu scroll *with* my webpage?

    Afternoon,
    I'm a newbie designer, just helping a friend build a website that will incorporate her blog and other stuff, but what I'm trying to do is set up my Spry Menu (set as a vertical accordion style) to scroll with the page.
    I want it to scroll within the confines on my div class="contentright"
    CSS for div class:
    .contentright {
        padding-top: 410px;
        float: left;
        width: 210px;
    HTML of same div class:
    <div class="contentright">
                                <div id="SpryAccordion1" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
                                <div class="AccordionPanel">
                                    <div class="AccordionPanelTab tabTop">
    My webpage has a set width and is set to expand based on what I have in my main content area. I'm just not sure what to code and where to code it (in my HTML or in the CSS), to set my Spry to scroll. I'm assuming it's something with a .float functionality, maybe? I just need it to stay beneath my top padding so that it doesn't get overlapped by my main header logo that I had to set to position: absolute;
    Any ideas?

  • [Forum FAQ]Start Menu Scroll Issue in Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9926

    Scenario:
    When upgrading to Window 10 Technical Preview Build 9926 from Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879, you may notice that on the start menu, when you move mouse to the right side, it won’t scroll until you click it.
    Solution:
    This is because the value of the key DWORD
    MouseWheelRouting which is under
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop values changed to 0 after upgrade.
    Note:
    Before you make changes to a registry key or subkey, we recommend that you export, or make a backup copy, of the key or subkey.
    Press Windows logo key +R to open Run, type
    regedit, and then press Enter to open Registry Editor.
    Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
    On the right side, change the value of the DWORD MouseWheelRouting
    to non-0 and non-1, for example 2, 3, which is set to 1 by default.
    Exit Registry Editor.
    Sign out and sign back.
    Applies to:
    Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9926 upgrade version.

    same issue in build 10049.
    It would help to be more specific in the symptom description.  E.g. using Narrator may help.  (Win-Enter).  Does it say what you are "seeing" (or should be seeing)?
    FWIW I think it is relatively easy to reproduce symptoms which are related to this thread's description using Narrator (Start Screen without Search bar, Search bar without Taskbar, or Search bar with Taskbar but without Start Menu
    when the only time that the Search bar should appear is when the Start Menu is there, for example) so that could also help specify what your real symptom is.  BTW there are horrendous delays when using Narrator.

  • Menu scroll no longer works

    While adding a star rating to a song, my scrolling stopped working. I can still change songs forward or backward and return to the menu, but I can't scroll up and down or adjust the volume. I'm assuming this is an internal problem. The ipod has never been dropped, but does have a history of completely freezing buttons for five to fifteen seconds while still playing songs and difficulty turning it off.

    Hi!
    I was exactly at the same situation and I could fix the problem as following:
    Turn off the phone.
    Remove the battery.
    Put the battery again (it’s not necessary to wait).
    The phone will restart automatically with a square on the top right corner with the inscription “ALT”.
    Press “alt” button and the square will disappear with the problems, I hope.
    It’s probably due to a combination of keys while the phone was in the pocket (for example) but I didn’t found the way to return to original configuration without doing 1 – 5.
    So, after fixing this issue I recommend to lock the keyboard (pressing Q). One unlocks with Play/Pause/Mute button (over screen, by the side).
    I expect that this helps you.

  • Spry Menu Bar - Help Request

    Hello!
    I'm using a horizontal spry menu bar with horizontal sub menu
    and have almost gotten the navigation exactly how I need it. I'm
    stuck, however, and don't know how to fix the following:
    1. I have absolute positioning set for my sub menu so that
    the items appear under the left-most main menu item instead of
    their parent item. When I change screen sizes, the sub menu stays
    put (as it should) and everything else moves with the re-size. I
    can't figure out where the sub menu positioning is originally set
    to change it or how to get it to appear where it currently is
    without using absolute positioning.
    2. I would like to center the contents of the sub menu and I
    think I've tried text-align:center everywhere possible but to no
    avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    3. Is there any way that the menu can recongnize the page
    that it's on and display the appropriate link high-lighted. For
    example, when you open the home page the active/focus state for the
    "Home" button shows (for this menu it would be a different color
    background image) and it's corresponding sub menu would be
    displayed automatically. Would a script do it? Is there anything
    like this available?
    The following is the page code and accompanying css. I have
    not altered the js file. I apologize for not being able to provide
    a link, but may be able to do so this evening.
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Stephi

    to change it or how to get it to appear where it currently is
    without using absolute positioning.
