Menu titles not going in order

Is there a way to make the DVD directional remote go to the next title in order that it's on the DVD and not the closest title to the previous one in the menu graphic?    In this case, I want the right toggle to go from "let's go" to "sit."  Any idea?
Thanks!

It is called "button routing." When the buttons are nicely lined up, "automatic" (the default) usually works well. But sometimes not.
In the menu viewer, click on the icon for "routing." This will show you what "number" each button is, and what number button each remote arrow click will go to.
You can turn automatic routing off, and drag these numbers to set the remote as you wish.

  • Blu-ray menu link not going to correct page

Here we go again. I try something new, and it doesn't work. Here is the situation:
I have a Blu-ray menu. The main page of the menu has three buttons: Play Movie, Scene Selection, and Bonus Features.
Play Movie starts playing the disc at chapter 1, which is what it's supposed to do.
Scene Selection takes the user to the "first" page of the menu, where each chapter is listed and the first one is highlighted. The chapters span two pages, with the second page accessible by using the "Next" link at the bottom of the page. From that second page, you can either choose a chapter listed or go back to the previous page.
Bonus Features is set to go to page three of the menu, where the user can select to watch extra content which are each in their own timeline. This page is only accessible from the Bonus Features button on the main menu page. However, when it is selected, it goes to page 1 of the Scene Selection menu instead. The link in the Properties is set to go to "Disc 2 Menu:Page 3: Instrumental", which is the name of the menu, the page I want it to go to, and the button I want highlighted. But when I test it in my Blu-ray player, it does not behave correctly. Is there something in Encore I am missing? The button type is set to Normal, like the rest of the buttons on the Default page.
I don't want to keep burning discs to test this out when there doesn't seem to be anything else I can do to fix the problem. Hopefully someone knows what is wrong.

I have music and a video playing in the background, so the multi page menu is great for going to new pages and having the video and music continue playing, instead of having the DVD style menu where everything stops and starts over when you change pages.
So here is the top of my flowchart showing the main page of the menu and where each button goes. Everything works except Bonus Features going to P3B2 (I am guessing B2 is Button 2, which is what I want).
And here is the bottom of my flow chart showing what each button on that menu does.
Hopefully you spot something that is off. I might try to wrangle a second blu-ray player and see if it does it in a different machine as well.

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 Template - Main menu button not going to correct page link

    Hi,
Please help me, as i am new to Adobe Dreamweaver.
I created a website in Dreamweaver CS3, then recently changed to CS5.5, firstly i couldn't get the templates to update, but by playing around i managed to get the template up update all the pages. #
I am now having problems when i click on the link in the website, it seems to be looking in the templates folder for the html page.
    Website addrerss: www.malegroominglounge.co.uk
Pages that i am having problems with when i click in the menu buttons : Male Waxing, Contact Us & Find us,
This is sometimes working but most of the time comes up with: 'Page cannot be found' and when looking at the URL it is e.g http://www.malegroominglounge.co.uk/Templates/malewaxing.html
Why is it looking at the templates folder?
I have checked the template file in menu url and it has not got an extension to look in the 'templates' folder.
    Could someone please help?

    Hi
    Thanks for your investigation.
Yes i can now see on the source that it is using the templates folder e.g (www.malegroominglounge.co.uk/templates/findus.html), but when I go into dreamweaver template, the code i see is:
      <div id="sidebar1">
        <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarVertical">
          <li><a href="index.html" class=" style1 style21">Home</a> </li>
          <li><a href="aboutus.html" class="style35">About Us</a></li>
          <li><a href="malewaxing.html" class="style35">Male Waxing</a> </li>
          <li><a href="malemassage.html" class="style35">Male Massage</a></li>
          <li><a href="manicure&amp;pedicure.html" class="style35">Male Manicure &amp; Pedicure</a></li>
          <li><a href="facials.html" class="style35">Male Facials</a></li>
          <li><a href="feedback.html" class="style35">Contact Us</a></li>
          <li><a href="findus.html" class="style35">Find Us</a></li>
          <p> </p>
          <li><img src="holisticguild300.jpg" width="130" height="46" hspace="3" /></li>
        </ul>
So not sure what i'm doing wrong.
Can I just check that the 'Don't rewrite relative document paths' check box should be unticked (this is found in DW CS5.5 - Site - Manage Site - Edit - Advanced Settings - Templates)
    Any help much appreciated
    Cheers

  • Menu not looping and titles not showing up

    Hello,
I made some dvd\s which looked good before i send them to the guy who duplicates them for me and he noticed
some issues i cannot figure out.
If i could get some help or directions that would be great.
i have included screen shots below the questions.
I set the main menu to loop forever but it is only playing 1 time and then going black on some players
or going back to the beginning FBI warning. On the flowchart it is set to go back to the main menu?
Not sure why this is happening?
When my duplicator plugs it into his machine it only says title 1...title 2 etc and it is not picking up the actual title
is this normal ( i see it on other DVD\s i have watched) or is there a way to say what the title really is?
    Is it worth doing it?
    Thanks,
    Soshman

    Hello Ann and Stan!
    Thanks for your reply's!
Even thought they are not proper players ( WMP and VLC ) they are what people use to play DVD's
in their computers so it has to work similar to other DVD's IMHO.
Stan the bottom two videos are part of Menu #1 but after the link that goes to menu 2
the 4th video when clicked on islinked to menu 2 because the 8 videos on menu 2 are to be watch
after video 3 on the main menu and before the 5th video and the playall playlist at the very bottom....whew! ( hopefully the next one is much more linear:-)
I finally got ahold of my old editor and he figured it out for me. I had to put "Stop" after each menu for it to loop "forever"
Once i did that they worked properly on both computers and the DVD player.
Lots of google search and talking to folks and it seem like WMP has nobody who understands how to get the titles on the DVD to show up on WMP.
I have watched many DVD's and listened to many audios without that information showing up...so i am sure others have figured a way around it and i will have to settle on it as is!
Thanks again for all your help it is well appreciated:-)

  • Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in preview.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in encore preview. This only happens for a Blu ray project. When a user presses the menu button it should go to the previous menu they were on but it goes to the main menu. When they press the title button they should go to the main menu but it doesn't do anything. My DVD projects work as expected.I've tried creating a new "test" project with different footage and still get the same undesirable results.
Overrides grayed out and set to "not set" for timelines and menus.Project settings and build are set to blu ray. Also I've noticed when I preview a Bluray project the preview window shows a red colored disc next to the Title button when viewing the timelines and green when playing the menus but not so for a DVD project it displays red if motion menus and or timelines are not rendered/encoded. I'm not using motion menus and all the media is encoded according to the project specs.
I've searched this forum but couldn't find the answer. Any help or redirects to a solution would be appreciated. Working with CS5. Thanks.

I found out on my Samsung Blu ray player the remote has a tools button on it that brings up audio, angle, chapter selection etc.and also title selection which is actually the menus and the timelines unfortunately. It's not as easy or direct as last menu selected but it's a workaround at least. I also plan on using a pop up menu. I'll let you know.

  • Cursor selection does not follow chapter order on sub-menu

I used iMovieHD6 to add chapter markers to my large DVD project. They "shared" very nicely into iDVD8 and the Chapter Selection sub-menus were created nicely.
The problem is that when I use the cursor arrows on the DVD remote (real or virtual, in or out of iDVD), the highlight jumps around the sub-menu items rather than moving in a logical order. For example, I have 4 sub-menus with 6 chapters in each. Let's use numbers for them starting with the upper left they are 1,2,3 and then at the lower left they begin 4,5,6. I am using the Reflection White theme. When I press the right remote cursor button it will move from 1 to 2 to 5 to 6 to 3 to 4 and back to 1. Note that this order is not the same for each sub-menu, but none of them go 1,2,3,4,5,6.
I don't know what might be wrong or how to correct it, but I have a really big project that is otherwise perfect and I'd really like to get it out, please help!
    Thanks.

I just wanted to add this before closing this topic.
After poking around with the Reflection theme I better understood what Len was talking about. It appears that there are no modifiable parameters in the theme itself that control the order of cursor's motion through the buttons. That I assume is hard-coded into iDVD and follows a pre-programmed logic.
The point of failure is the position and orientation of the buttons in the Reflection theme's sub-menus when added automatically. They are made to look to the viewer as though they are set on an angled surface and viewed at an angle from above. While our brains can process this effect nicely, iDVD's cursor logic doesn't fare as well.
The work-around is fairly simple: Realizing that iDVD treats all chapter buttons as though they are two-dimensional objects on a flat surface, you must re-arrange them so that from top-left to bottom-right they follow a logical order, with the first buttons higher and farther left than the later-selected buttons. You don't have to move them very far to get the desired result and it doesn't have to affect the overall appearance of the menu in a noticeable way.
A slight rearrangement in my case left the overall look of the chapter menu the same but yielded a zig-zag flow through the buttons as follows:
    [1] [3] [5]
    [2] [4] [6]
Pressing the right cursor key jumps from top left to bottom left to top center then bottom center then top right and finally bottom right before going back to the start. Granted this is not quite "right" in that if iDVD could "see" the menu the way my brain does it would go left to right across the upper row of buttons rather than zig-zagging, but I figure that as long as the user can understand how to get to the button they want it'll be fine.
If you really need your menu selection to move linearly left to right with those arrows and with the up/down arrow used to move it vertically, then you have to arrange the buttons on the menu in a rectangular pattern with the top of each row of buttons all in a nice horizontal line. Note that's not the same as the alignment line that Reflection provides for you, it's a true horizontal line in relation to the monitor screen.
I'd much prefer that iDVD revisit the logic of the cursor control code, perhaps adding the choice of allowing the numerical sequence of the chapters to dictate the order of the cursor's motion rather than their relative position on the screen, but since they don't call me for advice, the above will likely have to do.

Seems that you can no longer hide them on your phone.  Try doing so in iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919.

  • Order not going to alternate resource after optimization

    Hi all,
My requirement is order need to be scheduled on all alternate resource... and also it will adhere product sequence...
I have given cost as follows in optimization profile..
    Make span=100
    Setup cost=60
    Mode cost=25
Cost and time i have maintained in setup matrix.
In the cost tab of optimization profile i have given A=10,B=100 as variable and 100,200 in fixed column..
Product sequence is some how adhering..but order is not going to alternate resource....
    Thanks
    pardeepta

    Hi Pradeepta,
I Believe, that might be u r observation.
To achieve the required scenario which you have given, plz follow the below steps
    1. Plz check whether u have defined mode priority in PDS or not. If not plz define.
    2. After maintaining do new explosion of transaction data
    3. Plz maintain the weights in basic settings of optimization profile as "make span = 0", Total setup time = 50, Total mode cost = 70,
    4. In Cost tab maintain fixed mode cost as A = 10, B = 12, C = 14 etc (In multiples of 2)
When you try this example ensure that u have 1 and half day load & give scheduling horizon as 1 day while optimization for the resources A, B & C.
System will schedule on Primary resource A first then it willl schedule on alternate resource B. If resource B is also full then only it schedule on resource C.
Note: If you define make span, then system will thing that you want to produce ASAP and results will be accordingly. make span has no relation with mode priority.

  • My project is set up with "rotation" menu intro, video, and then "rotation" on end, however, when you put DVD disc in DVD player, menu does not come up on front end, it goes straight to the video.  Is there some step I am missing?

My project is set up with "rotation" menu intro, video, and then "rotation" on end, however, when you put DVD disc in DVD player, menu does not come up on front end, it goes straight to the video.  Is there some step I am missing?

Open your iDVD project and go into the Map mode.  Made sure the autostart bin on the left is empty.
If you find a video in that bin remove it, save the project as a disk image and check the disk image with DVD Player.  Then you can burn the disk image to disk with Disk Utilitiy at 4x for optimal burning.

THE CONFLICT IS BETWEEN YOUR DOCUMENT CSS AND THE SPRY CSS.
It is because the <li> and <a> TAGS have been styled and therefore OVERRIDDEN THE SPRY CSS.
    Use CLASS TAGS e.g.  <li class="anyclass"> and <a class="anyclass">
and STOP USING THE <a> TAGS.
N.b. you may need to unstyle any <a> or other TAGS that conflict with the SPRY CSS.  (However it's best to start over knowing that styling basic tags may affect the SPRY CSS).

  • Menu/Title page of DVD blurry

I have a new MacBookPro and just tried to burn my first DVD in iDVD8.
    I used 7.0 Themes - Centerstage.
When I playback the DVD, the text on the main menu/title page looks fuzzy.
    Not crisp like in iDVD.
    I checked the DVD on:
    '08 MacBookPro, 1440x900x32bit
    '09 iMac, 1680x1050x32bit
When I play the DVD full screen, it looks fuzzy.
If I shrink the window to 1/4 of the screen size, it then looks OK.

    Hi
Way out of my doing HD 16x9 but any how I got a list on DVD quality - read and
see if You find anything of use.
    *DVD quality*
    1. iDVD 08 & 09 has three levels of qualities.
iDVD 6 has the two last ones
    • Professional Quality (movies up to 120 min.) - BEST
    • Best Performances (movies less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD
    • High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6) (movies up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
    2. From
    • FCE/P - Export out as full quality QuickTime.mov (not selfcontaining, no conversion)
    • iMovie x-6 - Don't use ”Share/Export to iDVD” = destructive even to movie project and especially so
when the movie includes photos. Instead just drop or import the iMovie movie project icon (with a Star on it) into iDVD theme window.
    • iMovie’08 not meant to go to iDVD. Go via Media Browser or rather use iMovie HD 6 from start.
    3. I use Roxio Toast™ to make an as slow burn as possibly eg x1 (in iDVD’08 or 09 this can also be set)
This can also be done with (Apple) Disk Util tool.
    4. There has to be about or more than 25Gb free space on internal (start-up) hard disk. iDVD can't
use an external one as scratch disk (if it is not start-up disc).
    5. Verbatim ( also recommended by many - Taiyo Yuden DVDs - I can’t get hold of it to test )
    6. DVD-R (no +R or +/-RW)
    7. Keep NTSC to NTSC - or - PAL to PAL when going from iMovie to iDVD
    8. Don’t burn more than three DVD at a time - but let the laser cool off for a while befor next batch.
    iDVD quality also depends on.
    • HOW much free space is there on Your internal (start-up) hard disk. Go for approx 25Gb.
less than 5Gb and Your result will most probably not play.
    • What kind of movie project You drop into it. MPEG4 seems to be a bad choice.
other strange formats are .avi, .wmv, .flash etc. Convert to streamingDV first
Also audio formats matters. I use only .aiff or from miniDV tape Camera 16-bit
strange formats often problematic are .avi, .wmv, audio from iTunes, .mp3 etc
Convert to .aiff first and use this in movie project
    • What kind of standard - NTSC movie and NTSC DVD or PAL to PAL - no mix.
(If You need to change to do a NTSC DVD from PAL material let JESDeinterlacer3.2.2 do the conversion)
(Dropping a PAL movie into a NTSC iDVD project
(US) NTSC DVDs most often are playable in EU
(EU) PAL DVDs most often needs to be converted to play in US
UNLESS. They are plabacked by a Mac - then You need not to care
    • What kind of DVDs You are using. I use Verbatim DVD-R (this brand AND no +R or +/-RW)
    • How You encode and burn it. Two settings prior iDVD’08 or 09

    No.
How did you arrange the shots in iPhoto? In an album, manually?
Then Photos Menu: Batch Change -> Set Title to Text "John's Birthday", for instance, and tick the box to append a number to each Photo. Now your photos are titled 'John's Birthday 001, John's Birthday 002 ... etc'
Then File -> Export and in the Export dialogue set the Filename to "Use Title"
Sort on Filename in the FInder and you end up with a folder full of images in the same order as the Album in iPhoto.

Tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account  - that should give you a payments link on your account's page.

  • Lenovo G580 boot menu is not working when pressing F2 and F12 key

QuestionI bought a new Lenovo G580 series laptop. After installation of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit edition, a problem revealed when Lenovo driver get installed.
When I installed Intel HD 3000 graphics driver and restarted laptop, the Window was unable to start normally. It displayed an error, so a recovery program started which was recommended. But this program failed to resolve the problem. Later, I tried again to load Windows normally but the blue screen fatal error showed up.
I attempted to reinstall Windows again, but after restarting window, the boot menu was not showing up after pressing F12 key. F2 key was also not working either.
I spoke to a Lenovo techincal assistance expert and they suggested me to remove battery and charger and press start key for 30 seconds.
My problem still remains the same, and I am unable to access boot menu.
The bios version is  62cn34ww. ls there a way I can get this running again?
AnswerPlease take note that the suggestion below is just a troubleshooting guide. If the steps could not fix the issue, you need to send you machine in for service for further assistance.
Try removing the hard disk , then press F2 button to enter BIOS
If you are successful in entering the bios, pleaes load set up defaults
Save setting by pressing F10 and shut the machine down
Connect the hard drive back and check if can enter BIOS via F2 and F12 to see boot menu
