the menus on the top you can see but when you click on say File they are all greyed out.

In all applications, or only some? If only some, which?

All folders in import menus for After effects are greyed out since upgrade to Mavericks

Since upgrading to Mavericks yesterday - all folders in the import menus (and save menus) are greyed out. I cannot access sub folders or even import a .mov directly from the desktop. All files and folders are greyed out.
I can use the "Open with" command on indivdual files which seems to work, but it's very inconvenient when working with multiple files.
Any ideas?

I just installed the photoshop CS5 but find out my 3D is not working, all of the options are greyed out. I have checked on the openGL menu in preference but still not work. I have core i7 and intel HD graphics 3000 with up to 1760MB dynamic video memory. please help

Is the active document RGB?

Text wrap options are greyed out

Hi,
I am trying to create a "drop cap" by selecting a text box and changing the wrap options in the inspector however, the "object placement" options to wrap the text are greyed out and I can not change them, except for the options below, such as "object causes to wrap" check box and the "text fit" boxes.
Is this a glitch? I have restarted both my program and whole computer, as well as tried it in a new document, and it still is coming up greyed out.
HELP, I have a project due and I need to be able to add in drop caps!

I have recently purchased a Mac computer (updated to Maverick) to go with my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer which has given excellent service with my old Windows computer. However, when trying to print pictures or photos via Photoshop Elements 11, the best results I can get are using the Colour Management and Epson Colour controls in the printing options box.
My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management, The only way I can reset the controls is to shut down the printer and computer and restart.
Could there may be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust please? I have been in touch with Epson and they say that the Epson Colour controls are part of the Photoshop Elements software but a post on the Adobe forum brought no results and I am unable to contact Adobe.

Hello Garry. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have used a different title from "How do I post a question?" That should come after trying to resolved the colour settings first. However, to answer your question, after experimenting with all the different settings in Photoshop Elements and Epson software, I now start with PSE11 Colour settings then click "no colour management" then after clicking Print, I choose "More Options/Colour Management/Colour Handling/Printer Manages Colour" then I choose "Page Setup/Layout/Colour Matching" which then shows Epson Colour Controls but I also choose "Layout/Colour Management" which then shows "Colour Controls/Mode" I then of course choose an Epson printer profile depending on the paper I am using. I get good results but as I said, the Colour Matching and Colour Controls are then greyed out. Hope that makes sense.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. So i've found the answer to this by clicking on every menu and setting in the itunes store. It turns out some purchases in the cloud can be hidden probably as the result of an interrupted transfer/sync/backup or a network outage. To unhide purchases 'greyed out ' items , go to the Itunes store (on the PC) click on your account name and select view account. (you'll be prompted for your itunes password) once you are in scroll down to the purchase history section. there should be an option for hidden purchases. click through and click on unhide purchases, redownloadble purchases. any hidden purchases will then show up. click on unhide to reactivate and download. This may only work for purchases in the cloud.

IMovie: My options are greyed out in content library. Help!

I can't delete my audio books from my music in my ipod. have deleted them fromi tunes library. they are grey out in my ipod music folder and can do nothing with them. can't accerss options under summary of my ipod either to operate manually. thanks den

Since updating to Yosemite and CS6 2 of my print options are greyed out on my epson R2880 print pane?

My colour and colour settings options are 'greyed out' on my Epson printer pane since updating to Yosemite and CS6,this happened before after running a software update on the printer driver! The driver version at that time was 6.62 and now it has updated to version 9.00....could this be the problem??

That's strange ... did you try restarting before printer install? You also may need to delete the printer itself (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners) and add it again , in order to access the proper drivers (?)

Unable to add/remove users in Mountain Lion Server (Options are greyed out)

For some reason, im unable to add/remove users in Mountain Lion server. The + and - are greyed out. It seems like something is wrong with the permissons because it looks like it cant write the the Ldav3 file (although that may be speculation). Does anyone have any advice for me? I URGENTLY need to add users.
Maybe theres a way to restore default permssions for the boot drive (if that in fact is the issue). Hopefully there is a way that I can fix this while leaving all users, groups, their permissions and shares intact.

Trying to get cd onto ipod touch but snching options are greyed out - I've opted to manually manage.

I'm trying to get CD onto ipod touch. copied it into ITunes library but when I get to synching 'selected playlists etc' all options are greyed out. If I try and clink sync in bottom right hand corner it gives me warning msg that everything already on ipod will be deleted and I don't want that. any ideas?

Head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions on your iPod Touch and make sure that restrictions for app installations are turned off.

Trying to share ethernet over WiFi but connection options are greyed out?

Newby question: I have a Mac Mini 2GHz C2D running OS 10.5.5. I am connected to the internet using my cable modem. When I use the Sharing system preferences control to establish Internet Sharing the boxes with "Share your connection from" and the box with "To computers using" are greyed out.
I'm fairly certain that the wifi card is working because I can see my neighbors wifi network. Also, a friends ITouch can see my computer and it even asks for and validates the password I established, it just can't access the internet.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
