Menus not active in iTunes

Hi! I just want to know if you have any idea about the issue that I am having right now with my iPod touch 5th Gen. I'm using Windows 7 computer & my iTunes is updated. Whenever I connect my iPod touch, the menus are not responding. I can click on the menus for the iPod but it's not showing the data on the iTunes screen. I thought at first it was my computer but after connecting my iPhone 5 & iPod Nano, it's working with them. Is it a possible problem on my unit? I already reset the device to it's factory default settings & reconfigured it again.

I just tried it on the device because whenever I open the iPod in iTunes, it's just giving me the picture of the device. Clicking on the Summary is not giving me the data also. Yup, the iPod is working properly. The only problem is whenever I connect it to the iTunes. I cannot transfer photos & playlist but I can add songs one at a time.

    Share your movie to the Media Browser. Then, in iDVD, drag your movie in from the Media Browser at the bottom right.
    THe Share to iDVD option is only activated if your source material is DV or AVCHD.

    yepp, I have done numerous tests today, skipped router and hard wired betwenn PC and appletv3. same problem.
    same network, but from my laptop, works like a charm.. so its not reproducable on all machines.
    this seems to be a itunes/bonjour problem, not ATV3 problem.

  • IPhone not activated by iTunes (O2, UK)

    I got an iPhone 3G yesterday. I updated iTunes then connected the phone. iTunes started the activation process then prompted me to set up MobileMe to sync with the phone. I did this. Then iTunes showed the iPhone in the sidebar and synced it. At no point did I get the activation prompts to connect the phone to the O2 network. I have tried restoring the phone and setting up as a new phone, but it still doesn't activate. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes (ver 8.0.1). No joy. I've tried it on a different mac - nada. I have taken the sim card out and put it back in again. Bubkis. All I get is the no service message. O2 say it is Apple's problem and I will call tech support tomorrow, but meanwhile, has anyone else had the same problem? Or, better yet, a solution?

    i just bought this ipad off ebay its a 64gb wifi+3g running ios 5.1.1 with no sim card in it. I have been trying to activate it for a while but everysingle time it keeps saying "We are unable to complete your activation at this time".     iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
    Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio.  People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
    Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
    Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
    Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
    Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
    Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
    Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.

    Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
    Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes.  Very strange.

    I have been dealt with 8 different people.
    I tried activating my itunes card through online process back in Dec 16, 2013. Follow# 304731545 - junayed, nothing from him until
    Jan 3- i emailed for update - "Your inquiry is very important to me, so I have requested assistance with the issue you reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available."
    Jan 4- " I wanted to send a quick note to see if you are still experiencing any difficulties with the iTunes Store. Resolving your issue is important to me, so please don't hesitate to reply if you need any further assistance."
    THAT WASN'T MY ISSUE.... THE ITUNES CARD BEING NOT ACTIVATED NOT THE ITUNES STORE. I replied advising him again what issue is and sent him AGAIN all the attachments he needed.
    Jan 6 - "Jaimy, we are sorry for the inconvenience. As per the Apple policy, we are unable to process your query any further. I would like to request you to contact the Apple store from where you have received the gift card." (I did in jan 10th)
    - the same day i called explained my situation and was transfered 554529946 - chanile, she was nice seemed she was trying to help me but we got cut off. She didnt call me although she knew my number.
    I called again 554616314 (didnt get his name was again nice) advised to make another claim online.
    So I did 308483126- ajitesh. Submitted the receipt and picture of the card.

    Jan 10 - finally decided to go to the store (45 mins away with the winter driving conditions). I asked  a guy to help and i was directed to someone else. I believe his name was scott. Told him my situation. He said he cannot help because it was outside the 30 day from purchase. Adv to call because nothing he can do, he didnt even bother to look into my situation.
    Jan 11 - i called, spoke to a lady, about 40 mins later i was transfered to a gentleman. All in all 53 mins later, online is the only way to go about resolving this. Even thought Junayed had already said he cannot do anything and go to the store.
    I am so helpless and disappointment at the level of customer service. The effort i have to put in to getting an issue resolved.
    Noone seem to know how to help me other than "online" when the "online" had asked me to go to the store, which then advised me to call, which then advised me back to go "online"
    Can anyone help??????

    We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    If the store that you bought it from can't/won't help then only iTunes Support can potentially do so. When you've been contacting online support you've been referring to your case numbers and what you've been told each time ?

    That is usually a symptom thet the phone was hacked or jailbroken. Was it?

  • Device Synch Menus does not appear in iTunes 11 on Windows 8 PC

    My 3rd generation iPod Nano connected to Windows-8 PC and iTunes 11 - Device "Summary" menu does not appear.  If you select the <File> menu in iTunes there is an option to "Synch Nano".  My iTunes is set to manually manage music on the Nano - because the "Summary" menu does not appear in iTunes it is impossible to select albums to Synch with the Nano.
    On the upper right bar there is an eject button for the iPod Nano.  This does in fact eject the Nano device and re-appears in iTunes if you disconnect the device then reconnect the iPod Nano.
    No other device menus are present in iTunes 11 under Windows-8.  The iPod Nano music library also does not appear.
    Only the PC based iTunes music library is visible.
    Itunes software versions are both current on the Nano and Windows-8 PC.
    The computer was deauthorized and then authorized in iTunes.
    The Synch History was reset in iTunes Preferences - this did not re-establish the Nano as a device to synch with iTunes.  (Typically fixes similar problems)
    Resetting nano device by holding Menu after switching unit on/off (Apple Logo Appears then Reboots Nano) makes no difference.
    Nano shows as a drive in Windows-8 in "My Computer" and the operating system recognizes the device connection.
    No problem ejecting and reconnecting the Nano in Itunes but traditional device menus are gone with the exception of the eject button.
    Tested the same iTunes Nano on two other computers with iTunes 11 installed on Windows-7 and Windows XP - works fine.  This issue only occurs on Windows-8 computers.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • I activated home sharing but after syncing, the cd's Tunes which I had burned on my PC, did not share to my other devices but instead the cloud symbol has an error message next to each song not purchased through iTunes.

    I activated iTunes Match but the songs in my iTunes library that were not purchased through iTunes did not share to my other devices. instead there is a cloud with an exclaimation point nnext to eahc one and it says errror when you mouse over the cloud.  How do I get these songs to share on iTuens Match?

    Well, now I feel like a real dope. I restarted iTunes (can't believe I didn't do that before) and now the TV's see the share, and the iPhone see it too (I assume the iPad sees it but I have not checked yet).

    Hi mate, well I really dont know why but last night it started to work out of the blue, you might want to check yours again as they may have fixed a bug??
    I did absoultely nothing different yesterday to make it start working, I had previously disabled all my antivirus, firewall, anti tracker etc etc & it didnt sort it.
    The only thing that happened yesterday was my laptop went dead flat & I had to a reboot (dont choose System Resume, which I normally do) I chose the other option in error & had to wait nearly an hour whilst my PC "repaired files etc" & it also downloaded a load of updates (had that message "dont power off, as updates are in progress")
    I really dont know if that sorted the issue or Apple fixed the bug yesterday but its working.

    Where did you get this iPhone?
    Was it new or second hand?
    You have to sign out then sign in with the correct Apple ID and password.
    Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > do it here.
