MEP unlock code error
My friend recently got a BB curve 8520, which was locked by a MEP code, so he went and purchased an unlock code and when he entered the code it gave an error that the MEP code has been entered 10 times already. So what should he do? Can anyone help here.

So, did your friend enter the MEP unlock code wrong ten times?
Or, was this error showing on the first time s/he entered the MEP unlock code?
If the latter, then get your money back from the seller, because they were sold a non-working device.

Good evening all,
I was wondering if anyone would know how I am able to obtain a MEP code to unlock my phone to other providers so that I am able to use my mobile with other networks, as I am working on board a cruise ship and I am wanting to use a local provider instead of paying very high roaming rates especially for Data Services. Would I be able to obtain this code from BlackBerry/RIM or do I have to contact my service provider? I have tried seaching on the net but only comes up with 3rd Party websites, I have seached on my providers website (O2 UK) and also the BlackBerry website.
I would greatly appreciate any help with regards to this!

The Wireless Service Providers control these codes and have different policies for providing them to their customers. You certainly should ask them for it.
There are multiple services that will provide the code for a fee...the range of the fees is quite wide.

My 8900 curve hangs after unlock code?
Hi all
I bought a blackberry curve 8900 second hand from a market thinking all I had to do was unlock the network and my sim card would work in it.
However when I enter my chosen sim a message comes up saying 'invalid sim' and at the startup page it reads 'the current sim card requires an unlock code do you want to unlock it now' I went to a shop to get this phone unlocked and the code used came up with the message 'code accepted' but afterwards the phone freezes (still displaying everything that was on the screen before) and the only thing I can do is a battery pull and this leaves me back at step 1
Sim lock I believe is t mobile uk (due to settings and startup logo being t mobile)
Do you know what could be the cause of this fault? I know it is not a software fault as I had a shop re install the software and the phone still freezes after the code has been 'accepted'
The phone us functioning in every way, I can use everything just not text, make calls (basically anything requiring a sim) even a tmobile sim comes up with 'invalid sim' and I an worried I have gone and bought a paperweight
RegardsI may have misunderstood, but it seems like you are talking about 2 types of "unlocking" here. You mentioned that you forgot your password, I'm assuming this is the lock password that you personally set on your BB lock screen to prevent unauthorized access? If so, I'm not aware of any way to retrieve that lost password.
You also mentioned using your BB on a different carrier. That type of "unlocking" is network unlocking. To use your BB with a different carrier, you need an unlock code for that. You can unlock your BlackBerry here. Since you only have a few attempts left, my suggestion is to use the Checkout by MEP method which always generates the single 100% correct unlock code.
To checkout with this method, you'll need to obtain your BlackBerry's MEP number (note that this is different from the MEP unlock code) which you can get from either here or here.
Alternatively, you can just order your code using the Country/Network your Blackberry is CURRENTLY locked to as well as the model of your BlackBerry.

Can't unlock N8, Security Code Error
Hi,
I turned off my N8 Belle recently, turned it back on and it won't accept the security code, it just says "code error" when I type it.
What's going on? Now I can't unlock my phone to use it.
I haven't forgotten the code, it's the same one I've been using on phones for years and I've tried defaults such as 1234, 12345, 0000, 00000000.

There are two routes, and only two, to achieve this.
* IF your device is in warranty, contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to RIM level customer support. I'll warn you that most carrier technical support people will first assume and think you are referring to a device security unlock, and you will need to convince them otherwise and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device which has had the MEP code attempts depleted, and should (and you will need to ask) to have the case escalated to RIM level tech support.
* If your device is out of warranty, contact RIM direct. See the Contact Us information from the website: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ The options you want to select to speak to BlackBerry Customer Care are 3 (for inquiries, orders, billing, e-RMA etc) then 5 (e-RMA and Out of Warranty).

I need an unlock code but adobe customer care no longer seems to be available.
I have had photoshop for many years starting at 4. I have always updated.
Installing cs on my new win 7 setup (yes I no it is old, but I don't have the money for new software).
I can't get it to see my old install discs, I used "setup.exe unlock" but can't contact customer care on the line (or chat) for the unlock code.

Added editable regions in order to insert meta tags, but get code error. What did I do wrong?

Made a website based on a template, and as so many people, was afterwards struggling with optimizing my titles, descriptions and keywords for SEO. These were/are locked in the head section of the template. I found lots of useful information on the forum to unlock this section, but apparently I am doing something wrong and I can't figure out what. The code error I get is that there is a syntaxis error in the template comment. Also I do see that the color of the code is maybe not the way it should be.

Help required to unlock device with unlock code
I have purchased A 2600 Clasic is the US. AT&T ahs provided me an unlock code so that it can be used in India, however I am not able to unlcok code as it gives a error as resiticted. Neen help

Hi,
Before I updated my phone to the latest sw: v3.0704.1.0.1, I had engaged the security setting (lock if SIM changed) to prevent SIM swap incase it is stolen.
Now my Lock code can nolonger unlock the settings neither is the default: 12345. Instead the phone will ask for new password and verification but will give this error message: CODE ERROR.
Can anybody help. I can nolonger use this phone with any other SIM

hey! so are blackberry maps available in india yet? dont seem to be on my curve 9360...

And the data source is actually TomTom, not Google Maps.
I'd recommend you use Google Maps, personally, they are a bit more flexible and feature-rich than BBMaps.

2 hours is too much. 10 minutes as suggested by Scoobyman will suffice. Removing the SIM card and the microSD card is not really necessary but OP can give it a try still.

i've changed my password and every time i've entered the new code gives me code error ..now i can't unlock the keypad and i don't wont to format my mobile and losing the data in it ..is there any way to solve this problem..plzz help

Wireless sync only works when I unlock phone. Is there a way to tell itunes my phones unlock code? Itunes tries to sync all night and posts 50 unknown errors. I unlock the phone and it syncs. I dont want my phone sitting around without a lock code but with wireless sync I cant find a place to tell itunes my code so it can sync? Any help is appreciated... Ray O
I have the same problem. I am forced to have a PIN set on my devices because I use my corporate exchange email and sync over wi-fi initially fails until I manually unlock the phone/ipad. #ckuan needs to read the words wiritten. We know how it's supposed to work but it won't start until you enter the PIN. Until then I get error messages saying either it cannot find the phone or explicitly telling me I need to unlock it.

Forgotton unlock code - restore not resolving issue
I cannot remember the screenlock code for my iphone 4s and as I have entered it incorrectly too many times. I have attempted to restore the phone via itunes (as advised in other similar posts) however when restoring it gets to a certain point and then comes up with the same error warning indicating that cannot restore iphone and need to enter passcode. Entering a passcode is not even an option anymore as iphone states 'iphone is disabled - connect to itunes??? It seems I am riding a fun little merry-go-round; I plug into itunes and attempt restore and it states 'cannot access iphone please enter unlock code' (or something to that effect, cannot enter unlock code as phone is disabled and states 'connect to iphone' ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Please, please, please help me fix this nonsenseAccording to the thread linked below, you will need to either A) restore the phone from the last computer it was synced to (not just any workstation) or B) restore from DFU mode and lose all the content on the phone.

Unable to unlock blackberry curve 3g 9300 with the unlock code
I have the same problem and could not unlock my blackberry curve 3g 9300 from Canada's wind network.
I have called my network provider twice and obtained the unlock code. I also called back to reconfirm the unlock code.
However each time I tried to unlock my blackberry curve 3g 9300 with the unlock code ,it refuses to unlock.
please assist me with a solution.

Calgary,CanadaAfter the ten attempts have been used, you must get RIM to unlock the device.
There are two routes, and only two, to achieve this.
* IF your device is in warranty, contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to RIM level customer support. I'll warn you that most carrier technical support people will first assume and think you are referring to a device security unlock, and you will need to convince them otherwise and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device which has had the MEP code attempts depleted, and should (and you will need to ask) to have the case escalated to RIM level tech support.
* If your device is out of warranty, contact RIM direct. See the Contact Us information from the website: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ The options you want to select to speak to BlackBerry Customer Care are 3 (for inquiries, orders, billing, e-RMA etc) then 5 (e-RMA and Out of Warranty).
