Mercator - XI

hi.Can anyone give me the link of a scenario where Mercator mapping is performed in XI ? Are Jobs more for people who know SAP XI with Mercator Mapping ? Please send me the basics of Mercator as well.Thanks.Gowtham..
my email id is: [email protected]

Mercator and XI are EAI Tools. However you can integrate both the EAI if your customer and landscape demands that.

    Hi,
I would like to know what are the cofig. steps that one has to maintain in order to connect to Mercator.
Here I am using a SAP 4.0 B system and i need to connect to Mercator.
I would like to know the type of RFC used and the type of port used.
If the type of Port is CPI-C port, let me know the config. data that need to entered here to created the port.

  • Mercator to SAP XI Migration - Re-usage of maps

    Hi Experts,
We are starting with a migration project from Mercator to XI 3.0.
Is there any way we can re-use the existing maps on Mercator.
I read in some of the blogs that we can use Java Maps and some APIs to call the Mercator maps.
Can somebody throw more light on this?
Some example scenario would be of great help.
I have gone through all the Forum Posts on SDN regarding this.No Links to the Old posts please.
    Thanks & Regards,
    RK

    Hi,
For 7.11 I think there is some sort of adapter from IBM to support Datastage maps inside PI, but unless they downported it to 3.0 I don't think you have too much options.
I am aware of such a project but that involved a lot of custom development and the solution was not nice.

  • Switching from Mercator-Tibco to Mercator-SAPXI

Some of the Old interfaces in our project are working on Mercator-Tibco combination .
Mercator for mapping and Tibco for Routing .
And now it is decided to replace the Routing part with SAP XI keeping the Mapping Part with Mercator itself .
Can I have any help regarding the actaual approach for the solution to implement ?

    Hi  Agasthuri & pooja ,
Thank you for the response ..
As of now there is no plan for XI mapping to be implemented . Mainly because of the complexity of the maps , cost and time constraints .
No of Interfaces are roughly 55
    Planning approximately for 2 months
Most of these interfaces are using EDIFACT  and ANSI messages .
and want to know the process of  calling the maps from XI and execution on Mercator ...as well as what are steps needs to be done In IR ....the XI version is 3.0 .

  • Not so spherical mercator?  SRID 3857?

    Hi folks,
Spent some time yesterday getting schooled on all the politics of last year's EPSG 3785 to 3857 swap. I guess they just don't like that sphere (or rather the math). I was wondering first off if anyone had the 11gR2 CS inserts for 3857. I saw a post that Mike Horhammer was working on doing this last spring. How about the Oracle folks? Will 3857 be showing up soon as a stock SRID? Being WGS84 based it probably not that big a deal to set up but I was just hoping someone else had it handy.
Secondly, any idea how this change will work in practice? The EPSG has not only created the new SRID but they definitively retired the old. There is no mention of 3785 in the EPSG database any longer and ideally this number could be recycled to some other purpose at any time. So what happens now to the old Spherical Mercator cs? Someone over there at Oracle took all the trouble to code the new spherical math routines into SDO_CS for 11gR2. This came to my attention via looking at the situation at ESRI. They seem to be just accepting that there are now two Web Mercator coordinate systems. In the 9.3 product 3785 = 102113 and 3857 = 102100. ArcGIS 10 just uses 3785 and 3857. I am not sure what happens if 3785 get recycled to some other purpose at EPSG. Will Oracle also retain 3785 and just add 3857 and thus have the two Web Mercator coordinate systems? It seems like deleting 3785 could create some problems.
Anyhow, interested in any thoughts or suggestions you all have on the matter.
    Cheers,
    Paul

    Good question Paul...
I'm working on putting together an image catalog for spatial -> WMS -> Google Tiles, and realized I needed to use 3785 to make it work better.
Short term, I guess it doesn't really matter as I doubt it will go away so suddenly in software. But... long term - I'm no sure what to think.

  • Using map file from Mercator in ECXpert

    Hi all,
I am using the Mercator map file in the Mercator example (<Mercator install dir>\Examples\XML\XML2EDI\ XML2EDI.mms) and convert the map file to Solaris platform map file (XML2EDI.sun) using Mercator Map Designer.
After that the .sun map file is used in ECXpert. The input file is poin.xml. The transaction is not succesful and error occurs as the require stylesheet base directory not found.
The stylesheet directory can be set in the /<install dir>/NS-apps/ECXpert/data/stylesheet/ecxstylesheet.xml, but the problem is for this map file (.sun), the stylesheet is not used.
    Question:
1.Does map file (.sun) need a stylesheet?
2.Does this stylesheet need to be created?
3.What are the requirements to use the .sun map file (that is converted from.mms for xml input file)?
    Do appreciate your response. Thanks.

    Hi Saket,
    Thanks for ur reply.
I have change the partnership type to normal type
(Application to Apllication), but still having the
same problem which it always looking for a
    stylesheet.
Seems like i am using the ECXpert XML capabilities as
well even though i have change to Application to
Application in the partnership. You probably need to describe what you are doing in greater detail here. Looks like a configuration issue to me. Also, what version of ECX are you using? And what is the version of the Mercator Design Studio (including the patch number/build number)?
If you can provide me with more details of the steps you are doing to set this up, I may be able to help you better.
    >
    Question:
How do i use Mercator in ECXpert? Is this the right
way by simply convert a Mercator map file to (.sun)
and put it into the map file path of ECXpert and
creating partnership and services for it?That is correct. Don't see anything obviously wrong here. You have to watch out for the version of your Design Studio and the Mercator runtime though. Have you opened a case with Sun Tech Support for this? If not, I suggest you do so.

    Appreaciate for ur response.

What have I got in my pocket? That's about as relavent of question as what you asked us. The answer is highly dependent on your current situation and your immediate, short range, and long term goals as a developer. If you're going to try to tunnel into a Java only career, then deveation from that path really does not make a lot of scense.
But on the other hand, I'm working now as an Oracle DBA making much more money than I did as a Java or VB or Windows Developer. Only you know and can decide what you want and where you want to go.

  • Mercator xml single line translation

    hi guys,
I have a map that reads in an xml file and outputs an edifact msg.
When the xml is formatted, i.e spaced apart according to the tags, the map performs fine.
Unfortunately, my xml file is generated by another application that outputs the xml all on one single line.
    i.e
<line1>A</line1><line2>B</line2><line3>C</line3>when i run the input file (single line xml) through the map, i get an invalid input message!!
I've already removed all the <cr> and <nl> from all the Terminators in my input type tree, but i still get an Invalid input error message. has anyone experianced this before?
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Mallik,
I do not think that this can be achieved in XML to XML (unless you can create a specific module and add to the module tab)
But if you create say a CSV or TXT file and use the <b>Content Conversion Parameters</b> option
Here you can specify the fieldSeparator to be 'nl'
    <b>Input</b>
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <record>
    <field1>f1</field1>
    <field2>f2</field2>
    <field3>f3</field3>
    </record>
    <b>Output</b>
    f1
    f2
    f3
Here you have retained your data and each field is separated by a new line.  Unfortunatley with this method you lose your XML tags

  • Apex With SSO not working

When running htmldb 2.0.00.29 with SSO , we receive
    ORA-06550: line 2, column 1: PLS-00201: identifier 'WWSEC_SSO_ENABLER_PRIVATE.GENERATE_REDIRECT'
must be declared ORA-06550: line 1, column 45: PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Error Unable to run portal_sso_redirect procedure as schema: PL_USER with partner app name: people finder:mercator.hq.ccw.gov.uk:7779.
During debugging the issue we found out that the ssosdk could not be installed into FLOWS_020000 correctly
    ( error like:
    @loadsdk.sql
    create table wwsec_enabler_config_info$ OF sec_enabler_config_type

But bow same error like on starting up the issue.
    Question:
Is it possible to install ssosdk in a separate schema and not into FLOWS_02xxx
If yes, what are the steps differennt to the Note:353023.1
    thanks

    Hi Scot,
    Thank you for your response.
This is what I did for the migration by following the thread in
How can I recovery APEX application from a full database export?
    - Create new empty database with APEX installed.
    - Disable foreign key constraints in the FLOWS_030100 Schema
    - Truncate all tables in the FLOWS_030100 Schema
    - Perform user level imports of tables only with IGNORE = Y for FLOWS_030100 Schema
    - Enable the constraints.
(everything seems intact including SSO SDK objects)
    To register with SSO, this is what I did;
    1. Load SSO SDK in FLOWS_030100 Schema anyway
    2. Register APEX as Partner in SSO
    ID: 1B914F48
    Token: F76K433U1B914F48
    Encryption Key: F76K433U1B914F48
    Login URL: http://<hotsname>:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
    Single Sign-Off URL: http://<hotsname>:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout
    Login URL : http://<hotsname>:7778/pls/apex
    Success URL : http://<hotsname>:778/pls/apex/wwv_flow_custom_auth_sso.process_success
    Logout URL : http://<hotsname>:7778/pls/apex
    3. Run regapp.sql as FLOWS_030100
    SQL> @regapp.sql
    Partner Application Configuration
    4.
    Enter value for listener_token: HTML_DB:<hostname>:7778
    Enter value for site_id: 1B914F48
    Enter value for site_token: F76K433U1B914F48
    Enter value for login_url: http://<hostname>:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
    Enter value for encryption_key: C5EB92724C7C98B8
Enter value for IP check : N
    4. Ensure wwv_flow_custom_auth_sso compile successfully and grant it to Public
When I tested it, I did get the page of SSO login. But after logging in, it will just go to Page not found. Initially, I thought there's someting wrong with
wwv_flow_custom_auth_sso.process_success but it did compile successfully and I have granted it to Public.

  • Urgent : Posting Payroll results from legacy system to SAP Fi /C0

    Hi Experts,
A client requirment is such that they have to post payroll results to FI/Co
They are not using SAP HR- Payroll module . They use their own payroll
                 processing system .
Please tell what would be the best way of doing so
                  Help is urgently required
    Nidhi

To be more specific, Pavani is referring to create a new inbound - custom program, which can create IDOCs in SAP system and transfer the data to FI - CO module.
If your client has all the infrastructure for a new interface development, like XI system or IBM - Mercator system, Out bound interface for Third party payroll system, Interface - ABAP team, then it could be planned to develop the SAP inbound interface.
    Hope this helps.

  • Customer creation using BAPI with given customer number

    Hi All,
Can we create the customer with our own customer number using the BAPI - BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1.
Generally SAP Creates its own number using number range objects, but i want to create customer with our own specified number.
I found the BADI - CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA for XD01,but it is not working for BAPI.
    Please give me the solutions.
    Regards,
    Srinivas.

    Thanks once again.
The interface is like this NON-SAP (Front-end)
                              Mercator
                              SAP (Back-end).
and the volume of Date is more than 20,000 a day and mercator will put into the 'Q'.i do not think the data flow in front-end and back-end is authentic.
and lot of business logic is involved in these three systems.
I found the BADI for this, but it is not working for the BAPI.Please suggest any thing for BAPI - BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1.

  • File Adapter Not Working Proper

    Hi XI Experts,
Here, we configured Idoc to File Scenario using File Adapter. We are getting errors in records while receiving the Text File.
The error we r getting in those record of the file where some data is missing. After which whole records get curropted. ForEx:
    HeaderLine
Store    ArticleCode    ArtDescription    MerCat    Amount   TaxCode
    3022    130000000      Shirt                  FMCG     200           k5
    3022    130000001       Short                FMCG     150           k5
As above line items have allthe fields filled so uptill this text file we r getting is error free.
    3022     130000003      shirt
    3022     130000004      masalas         fmcg         50             k1
As in above line item few of fields are missing and whole recordsafter this record get corrupted. And weget following corrupted data
    3022     130000003      shirt         50        fmcg
    3022     130000004      masalas         fmcg         50             k1
Can something be done with FCC ????
As this is effecting the business Please reply ASAP.

    Hi,
Also check ur mapping program. It is Idoc to file scenario rite...then see whether ur target structure is getting mapped from the idoc and check ur mapping once and see whether u r getting all the fields in the target xml.Check ur xml payload of ur file in RWB.
And that too no need of giving  PA01.fieldNames in the content conversion parameters.
    Directly u can give:
    recordset structure name.addHeaderLine
    recordset structure name.fieldSeparator
    recordset structure name.endSeparator
    Hope u got my point.
    Regards,
    Prasanthi.

  • WKT Contains Scientific Notation

I have a table with an SDO geometry column. Our data is stored in Web Mercator to simplify displaying maps on a web page. My team's preferred way of shuffling geometries around is via its WKT since this is human readable and widely used. So we are fetching the WKT directly from the database using the GET_WKT() method (right term?) on the SDO geoemtry.
The problem is that when coordinates exceed 10 million in magnitude, those coordinates are represented in E notation (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_notation#E_notation). I need to convert this WKT to a .NET object for use with a particular library, and while it supports conversion from WKT, it blows up on the E notation. I'd call it a bug with the library except for the fact that Oracle itself can't parse WKTs with E notation, either. SDO_UTIL.VALIDATE_WKTGEOMETRY returns FALSE for the WKT that GET_WKT() generated, and SDO_UTIL.FROM_WKTGEOMETRY throws an error. I've also tested that SDO_UTIL.SDO_UTIL.TO_WKTGEOMETRY returns the same WKT.
A large amount of code already depends on the geometry being in WKT format, which means that switching to another format would not be an easy change. For the moment, I'm parsing the WKT using SQL Server's geometry type (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sqlserver.types.sqlgeometry_methods.aspx), and then converting it back to a WKT without E notation using its STAsText() method.
Is there a way to force Oracle to not return E notation coordinates?

    Hello jpmc26,
I am going to guess that most of us live our lives between the 180s and have not really noticed this before. I would call it a bug that needs an SR opened but is the bug on the coming or the going? If you look in the Simple Features 1.2.1 specification on pages 52 and 53 they clearly say that an "approximate numeric literal" of mantissa + E + exponent is valid. However, Oracle Spatial does not support the 1.2.1 spec. Rather they support something akin to the 1.1.0 specification. On pages 28 and 29 of that version there is no mention of approximate numeric literals as it first shows up in the 1.2.0 specification.
    So I would say either:
    1) Oracle Spatial supporting only the 1.1.0 specification and not much interested in updating to current specifications, should remove the output of scientific notation from the SDO_UTIL.to_WKTGEOMETRY procedure (match 1.1.0 spec).
    -or-
    2) Oracle Spatial looking forward to future compatibility with new OGC standards, should add support for parsing scientific notation to the SDO_UTIL.from_WKTGEOMETRY procedure (prepare for 1.2.1 spec).
I guess its a policy decision on their side. Please update the posting as to what they say as I am curious about the topic.
Many folks have largely abandoned these java-based, outdated, OGC converters. Feel free to search the forum for complaints, myself being one of the complainers. When you said "a large amount of code already depends" on WKT, my first thought was that must be really slow. Writing your own SDO to WKT converter in PLSQL is really easy and I believe that's what most of us have done. The other direction is more challenging but doable - I need to rewrite mine but its works well enough for straightforward stuff.
    Cheers,
    Paul

  • Best Practice for Storing Spatial Data in Multiple Projections?

From what I've been able to determine MS SQL can't do reprojections is that correct? Assuming it is, the state of Washington requires that our GIS data be managed in Washington Stat Plane South
but for our web mapping sites need the data in Web Mercator.  Is it OK then to have two geometry columns in a spatial enabled table, say a county table, one in WSPS and the other in WM?
I’m coming at this from a 30 year background in GIS using ESRI software.
Usually we would store the shape / geometry in one projection and project it to other on the fly when needed.
That way there is only one definitive source.  I don’t see a way to do this in MS SQL.

    Hi Scott.
Storing two columns of spatial data is fine in SQL Server. And you are correct that there is no built-in reprojection in SQL Server, most folks do that as part of data loading. There was talk of porting parts of ogr2ogr to SQLCLR, but I don't think anyone
    did that.
