Merchandise Category creation for Generic Article in SAP IS-Retail

Hi,
Can anyone help me out to with clear and complete process and settings i have to maintain for merchandise category for generic article for shoes of our client. I created merchandise category with the below transaction codes
ct04,clwe,clwe,clw1 and wg21 but when i used to create generic article i have to find characteristics in variants tab in basic data view in mm41 but i didn't find it.
HELP ME with SCREENSHOTS which will HELP ME in FUTURE of our CLIENT

System is not allowing GR through MIGO for generic article in SAP Is-Retail

Hi,
I am trying to do a GR into DC through MIGO for a generic article and its variants but system is not allowing it saying " The generic article is not maintained in DC". System by design doesn't allow to maintain generic article for specific site but it does for reference site. It did not say anything at the time of PO creation but throwing error during GR. Looking for help!

How to remove flag for deletion for an article in SAP IS Retail

Hi,
I wish to know , is it possible to remove flag for deletion at client level for the article (in SAP Retail System) ?
I have already tried to do remove the flag using the tcode MM06 (MM) method.
But the system says that, it cannot be done for the articles maintained using the retail functions.
I there any other Tcode ?
Or it's the end of the road ??

Free Goods Promotion for Generic Article

In IS-Retail can we create free good prmotion for generic article & it will automatically be applicable for varients of that generic article. or we need to create on individual varient free good condition record

in the item level Promotion announcement category(Ann column) - set indicator as F Promotion announcement
2)Check sales periods dates - Sales order from to TO it should be valid date

How to create pricing profile for generic articles, this need to be assign in article master basic data view.
also is it possible to give price for generic article using sales price calculation (VKP1 and VKP5)

Pricing Profile can not be created, It is default in SAP...this can be assigned in Basic view of Article master data
This profile is useful for fixing price for variant article...three way you can define variant price
If you select
                0. Variants will have different price
     1. Variants can maintain different price
     2. Variants have same price as Generic material

It is same like single article...you can maintain price in VKP1, VKP5

Analysis Report for generic articles based on different characteristics

Dear all ,
We are running SAP Retail solution ,and we use generic articles for the management of cloth and shoes articles.
So far ,we didn't find any standard t-code in sap GUI for the slaes analysis of generic articles base on their characteristics ,for example ,we use color and size to form the characteristic profile and assign it to some generic articles ,after a period of sales ,we want to analysis which size is more favarable as to the same color or to the contrary.
Except for BW , Is there some info-structure or t-code in GUI for this analysis ?

T CODE SQVI
Table Join
Add Tables and system will show the join automatic in case if u know u can also change.
Now You select which fields to be in the selection screen and select fields to be listed inside the report.

BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT update gross weight for generic article

Hi, I want to update the gross weight (MARM-BRGEW) for a generic article and it's variants. Sometimes, the new gross weight is not propagate to all the article related variants when I'm using BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT ??
In the structure headdata, I just pass the article number and flag the basic_view. I used 2 internal table for the unit of measures (bapie1marmrt, bapie1marmrtx).
Example of my source code:

FUNCTION MODULE CREATION FOR GENERIC DATA SOURCE

I am creating function module for generic datasource. For that I followed below mentioned steps
Steps
1.     Created s structure with the fields that needed.
2. Created FM by copying the standard Function module
" RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE " and Give a New name starting With
Y or Z .
3. IN SE37 ->Your Function module name -> Change, In table tab given structure
name by deleting the associated type given in E_T_DATA .
And inserted the required code given below

thanx for ur reply we have created the funcion module successfuly it is also showing the output correct. But when we put that function module in the generic data source and try to extract data in RSA3 it shows the correct output of function module but with the msg ' 0 entries found in customer enhancement' and therfore zero records in the display list.
is there any correction or steps to be followed in data extraction
pls suggest

SAP IS Retail Outbound Idoc Creation for New Articles

Hi SAP Gurus,
Good day!
I would like to inquire if you are familiar with the necessary set up to create OUTbound Idocs to be sent to POS whenever a new article is created. I have already activated the Change Pointers for the Message Types for IS Retail via BD50. However, this did not solve the issue. I have an existing material which ably triggers the idoc change;however, when I try accessing the materials I created recently, no idocs are created.

Reg: Table creation for generic source

I tried to create generic data source using a table that I created. But when I tried to enter entries into the table using se16 transaction, one field is not at all coming.
I didnt understand why this field is not coming. I checked the enhancement category, but that is allowing too.. I changed the position of that field in the table and tried. But still its not coming in se16 create entries..
What can be the problem. When we check the table in se12, that field we able to see.. When we check through se16 also its available. Only when we want to make entries its not coming..

Yes I am able to see the filed in the data source also.
I want to do flat file loading. So I am using LSMW recording for the same. So in se16 i need to create dummy entries. But as this filed is not coming, I cant populate.
When i tried outside lsmw also in SE16 that filed is not there.

File creation for Generic Withholding Tax Reporting : amounts are zero

Hi,
I try to use the program RFIDYYWT to create the file for witholding tax reporting for France
The format tree DMEE IDWTFILE_FR_DAS2.
I have succeeded to create a file, with the correct format/layout (so a 10, 20, 210, 30, and 31 structure), but the amounts are all equal to zero in the fle generated compared to the result on the screen after execution of the program.
Does anybody knows the solution for this problem ?

We opened a note with SAP and were told that a US 1042s copy could not be used within the standard system. Looking into it further we found that the form name was coded into a selection program. We had an ABAP developer add code that allows us to use a "Z_" copy form.

Importing data with characterstics/Merchandise hierarchy in SAP IS Retail

Hi All,
Im importing data into SAP IS Retail from MDM using ARTMAS04 message type using SAP XI. I have cetrain Merchandise hierarchy,Characterstics maintained in ECC as well as in MDM. The article category is "Generic Article". Im able to pass the valuse of characterstics and its values to ECC but idoc is not getting posted and gives an error msg" No Characterstics could be found for generic articles".
In a normal article creation in ECC using MM41 we have to create a variant for generic articles by passing characterstics and its values. How do i create a variant when im fetching data from MDM in XML format. Is there some setting required on ECC side.
Please let me know in case anyone has any clue.

Generic Article purchase pricing issue

Hi Gurus,
For SAP Retail, when I create PO with generic articles, the pricing for generic article is always at variants level. Is it possible to change it to generic article level? or when I change the price of generic article, it can automatically apply to all its variants?
For my business scenario, there will be no difference for price between variants of one generic article. So we want to adjust price on generic article level. Otherwise I need to adjust price for each variant. It is time-consuming and cannot garantee updating same price for each variant.

Hello,
You should be able to make use of Pricing Reference Article field (MARA-PMATA) for this. You may maintain condition records for Generic articles and maintain Generic articles as the Pricing Reference Articles for the variants.
This is just a suggestion. I have not tested it to see whether it works.

I am not familiar with retail, is it true that you set deletion indicators for POs in material master?
Archiving is done thru SARA (customizing required)
for purchase orders archiving object is MM_EKKO
for sales orders it is SD_VBAK
