Merge/create new space in pdf?

I have one scanned magazine page which has an article (in German) on one side and an advertisement on the other. I wish to remove the advertisement and put in a blank space (so I can put in some translation to English).
These are the various ways I have tried to accomplish this:
Can I redact the advertisement but keep the empty page as a placeholder?
I cropped the advertisement out, but there is no way to add back the rest of the page.
I created a half page in Photoshop and then exported it and added it to the pdf. Then I have two pages 4.25" x 11" - can I join them together into one 8.5" x 11" page in a pdf?
The reason I upgraded to XI was specifically so that I could edit text in the pdf (Can't tell you how much trouble this was in Acrobat X!)

    Trash the copy of the library you just moved. Then Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
    But do you want to have two iPhoto Libraries? Why not just use the one on the External?

    IPerson is just an Object Reference (similar to a Pointer). Initially it
    points to nothing and is considered NIL (if IPerson = nil then ...). Now you
    can get the IPerson reference to point to an object either by assignment or
    by instantiation.
    In assignment (IPerson = anotherPerson; ) the Object reference is assigned to
    point to the same Object that the assignor (?) reference points; note that it
    points to the object and not the reference (in effect there are no pointers
    to pointers).
    Instantiation is somewhat similar. The =new( ) syntax creates an Object
    instance and then the reference is assigned to point to it. So doing a
    second =new( ) would create a second object instance and the reference would
    be assigned to it. If the first object instance was not referenced by
    anything else then you have no way of getting a handle on it. It is
    considered garbage and forte will garbage collect the memory at some point.
    In your example, the first IPerson object goes AWOL at the second =new( ) and
    your IPerson reference is left pointing to a new 'empty' Object which is
    somewhere else in memory.

    And on what system? Acrobat 7 is not compatible with Windows 7, if that's what you are using. You need to upgrade then.

    Hello Srinivasu,
    It seems your Adobe configuration is not correct. Please use SAP note 944221 for troubleshooting.

  • Share new pdf created from existing online pdfs

    Is a solution in the works to be able to create new pdf books from existing individual pdfs online? Let's say I have individual pdfs for each of my recipes, but want to create a book online to share of just my desserts. Without sending each pdf share using an individual email, can this be done?

    Thanks for your post. In order to combine multiple PDF's into one, you need the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat. We don't currently have plans in the works to add this feature to Acrobat.com, but I will share your feedback with the team. You could also visit our Ideas site and promote this idea - we actively use the Ideas site to prioritize the roll out of new features.

  • New copies of pdf creates whenever i edit or open the pdf, adobe version 11.5.0

    I am using ASUS fonepad 7 tablet (model K00Z), android 4.3 jelly bean, adobe reader app version 11.5.0
    Whenever i open up a pdf or edit it and exit adobe reader, a new copy of same pdf is created in adobe's folder with the integer suffix to original name.e.g.
    Abc.pdf as Abc-1.pdf, Abc-2.pdf and so on..corresponding to number of times i open up pdf.
    I dont want such copies to be created whenever i open up pdf and exit adobe reader. One thing i have noticed is, while exiting pdf(adobe reader) by using back button it says "document saved", might be at this point copy is created.
    Please suggest me ways to resolve this problem.

    Referring to the question you raised, i use adobe application only for pdf reading and editing. And also not accessing pdf files via hyperlink/email or from such other entities.
    One thing might help you, my previous observation, that copy is created when i exit pdf was wrong..sorry for that.
    Copy is created in adobe folder of my internal memory with original name (lets say "abc.pdf") as soon as i open up the pdf and it doesnt get deleted by itself when i exit pdf.
    Next time, when i open up the abc.pdf (from original location), copy again is created but with new name, i.e. abc-1.pdf
    Hence, whenever I edit pdfs, changes are not saved in original file but only in temporary copies. And i would like to do away of such copies so that i can easily track my changes in original file.

    i am relatively new to oracle ucm and i am trying to add new comonent to create new layout from oracle Create and Modify Layout Sample Component* example under http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/content-management/index-092832.html .
    i want to ask about the following
    in this component i have CreateLayout_Layouts Table, CreateLayout_PublishedWeblayoutFiles Table and CreateLayout_PublishedStaticFiles Table. These tables should be merged with LmLayouts table, PublishedWeblayoutFiles table and PublishedStaticFiles table respectively in the std_resources.htm file in the <install_dir>/shared/config/resources directory.
    The problem is in my std_resources.htm file i have the following :

    I believe that sample is old. i have been pushing to get an updated version out also. Hopefully the fragmentary information I will give here will help.
    The main changes are dynamic data tables which replace the includes to control the menu items and relationships. The old things should work still but good to use the new. At the end is an example of merge rules.

  • Applying Custom Skin to the new Space created

    Hi All,
    I am working with Avitek VM sample. I have logged in as an administrator and created a new space in Webcenter Spaces. I have to apply my own corporate branding to the Space I have newly created.
    I have created a skin at runtime and tried to apply that skin to the space created newly, but I couldnot see any changes in the UI.
    It would really helpfull if some one can shed light on the below.
    1. Applying the skin to the space created.
    2. Where would I store the images used in the CSS file, so that they can be applied to the space when I apply the skin.
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.4 and Webcenter PS3

    Hi 900114,
    What changes did you make to the skin to add your company brand?
    Cause you should change the page template along with the skin to add any new items to the pages. Also, the logo/icon for any page is dynamic and by default will be the logo that comes with the space templates used to created the space. You can change that in the 'General Settings' for that page.

    Is there a log file in the document folder indicating what the problem was. There are a number of reasons that PDF creation may fail. You can try to print to the Adobe PDF printer to see if there is any indication in that process. The processing is different, but the same problems may show up with both processes.

  • Merged Clips - Undo? Source Name? Create New Files

    I merged clips when I synced them which has turned out to be the worst decision ever. I'm shocked at how poorly this system works. I've been trying to find original files, use XML and a few other things but always run into issues because it's referencing a merged clip rather than the source files and it has no connection to the original files.
    I was curious is there a way to revert to the clips as separate audio / video? Is there a way to export or create new trimmed clips for the sequence to reference? I tried Media Manger but it still refered to the clips as merged. I just want to get my sequence with the video used as actual clips. Please help! Thank you!

    I'm not aware of any way to unmerge.
    You can export out new media for each clip and replace the merged clip in the sequence, but that's likely a fairly tedious task.
    Why do you need to undo the merge?
