Merge Files to One PDF

Hello All...
When I merge a Word doc. with an existing PDF (to create a single PDF), how can I get the Word doc. to have the same size paper layout and same margin? So it all looks the same? I have had marginal success with playing with Word paper layouts before I create a single PDF; however, is there a way that PDF does it all automatically for one Identical PDF creation?

If you set the magnification for the completed PDF, might that do it?
File - Properties - Initial view, then choose 'Fit Page' for example. Or, I like 'Fit Width' - play around to see what works.
At least that should give a more consistent look. But as you say, unless you adjust the Word page layouts, there will likely be some variation.

The free Adobe Reader cannot help you with the merging job. If you have Acrobat Reader then you can merge files into one pdf with the following steps-
Within Acrobat XI, select File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF.
Click Add Files and select the files you want to add.
Click, drag, and drop to reorder the files and pages. Double-click on a file to expand and rearrange individual pages. Press the Delete key to remove unwanted content.
When finished arranging the files, click Combine Files.
Select File > Save As > PDF.
Name your PDF file and click Save.

Convert different types of files and merged them into one pdf

Hi, everyone. I'm girl from China.
There is folder containing severl files of different types, like doc, msg, jpeg etc. And I want to convert and merge them into one pdf following a certain order. I know that PDFmaker can do that nicely, but the problem is that I have like 3000+ fodlders that requires the same work.
I want to do it with VBA and Acrobat. I have a Acrobat XI Standard Version and a perfect license, by the way
And I have got the code(Thanks, Karl Heinz Kremer) of merging two pdfs into one, but how can I convert them into pdf first?

1. There is no action named "Covert files into Pdf" in the tools panel....
And if I write Javascript code to do this action. How should I write it?

Error Message When Merging Multiple PDF Files into One PDF File

I have a problem with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I am trying to merge/combine multiple PDF files into one PDF file, but I keep receiving this error message:

To fix:
Provide a unique name for each form field. This includes the individual PDFs fields. As you intend to combine/merge no field name in each of the individual PDFs can be the same.

Can I merge 3 jpeg files into one PDF on one page?

Can I merge 3 jpeg files into one PDF on one page? For example: scanned newspaper article was too big for one scan process, I had to scan article 3 times. Can I merge these 3 jpegs and position them like columns?

Do you have Acrobat? If so, you can use the Add Image tool to place your images on the page where you want them to be. Alternatively, you can combine all 3 to a single PDF and then send that PDF to the PDF Printer, selecting the Multiple option to get them to appear on a single page of the new file.

Thanks so very much - you have solved the problem.
I tried Document > Insert Pages and that worked.
I then ran the "Repair" feature on Adobe which installed a few updates and I am now also able to merge pdf's by using the "Combine" feature and all the pages show the text/info.

Hello again. I took the long weekend off, so haven't replied for a while.
While trying to set up a few documents out of the package I wanted to create, I discovered that there
is only one file that is causing the problem.
The biggest problem is that it is a confidential financial file, and I'm loathe to put it up on the web.
I'm going to try to re-create the file without the confidential part, then send it to this forum. I can't
figure out why it should cause problems when all the others don't and they have all been created by
the same person with the same version of Office.

Merge Files In Single PDF

I have Acrobat 9 Pro (Windows XP) and am new at using the progam.
I had merged a few jpegs into a single PDF file but the originals did not remain in its original location in my computer.
Would someone be able to tell me if this is normal for this program?
Is there a revert feature to get the originals back?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I added files to the "Merge files into single PDF" menu and then clicked "Combine files". Went back to check in computer file and noticed the originals were not there. Would "combine files" mean deleting them? as I did not click any other button.
I was able to retrieve my jpegs from the single PDF file by exporting them back to its destination, as Bill said, so I have my originals back.
