Hi experters,
In my upgrade project, we corrected several program's syntax error,
so there are many requests now,
my questions: How should I release and transport these requests to QA system.
I want to save time when I release them to PRD system.
(It is impossible to release request one by one,because there are too many requests)

Hi harry,
You can merge all the rerquests to one and release the request created by the process.
Create a transport request in se01 and include the other request into it.
select the request then from the menu
Utilities->reoranize->merge request

Tasks are designed to be run once. If you want restart functionality, use a service:

Hi Pooja,
Follow this
1)GOTO SE10
2)Select the TP Request which u want to merge and CTRLF12 or Utilities>Reorganise>Merge Requests.
3) It will give you two Requests tabs,where the first request will be mergd with the Second One.
4)In the Second one ,click F4 and Choose the Request
5)Click OK and they will be merged.

Hi sudeer,
you can do this by logging into Development system and open the solman TR through Se09 and right click - you will have many options wherin u can select Include Object / merge request and then provide the TR task number created outside solman. Now your solman TR will have the object assigned under it and can be moved to QA and Production through solman.

Transport requests merging

Hi buddies,
I have moved certain TRs from development to the quality server. I need to move these TRs from the quality to the production server. But before that I need to merge these TRs in Quality. Could someone help me out on how to go about this.

DQM quesions on Merging

Hi, I am looking in to the functionality of DQM on 10.2 and have a few questions that I would be grateful for some clarification on
1.     I understand you can merge parties but have read you can merge accounts, is this correct? And if so where do I find the functionality?
2.     Is it possible to merge duplicate addresses? For example, we have to load a large amount of legacy data which will contain duplicate addresses. Can DQM handle this at all?
3.     Is there any circumstance where data linked to merged parties is not linked to the new master party? Basically is there a chance of losing any data through a merge?

Q:

A:
It is. This can be accomplished through the standard merge request functionality in Data Librarian.
For doing this on import, you use de-duplication first, then registry de-duplication (you may also use address validation if you so choose). There's a fairly lengthy dissertation on this in the user guide. There are seven or eight profile options that you set to determine which de-dupe rules will be used to flag potential duplicates.
Q:
Is there any circumstance where data linked to merged parties is not linked to the new master party? Basically is there a chance of losing any data through a merge?
A:
Yes, unfortunately there is (at least in 11.5.10+). I have seen it happen several times. In one case the data had been imported in 10.7, then upgraded to 11i, then converted to TCA. I'm not sure if the interface now allows you to create garbage but in this case, it did. The implementer was not 100% up to speed with the TCA and the data ended up with many problems (which the poor customer is still struggling with to this day). There are still some bugs with the TCA where you can create problems in the UI as well be very careful when editing customer records in Customers Online once you have created an account. I still find the the safest and most reliable way to manipulate Account data is in the Receivables Customer form.
The best advice I can give is to plan your conversion to the nines:
- Architect your data structure with much care and attention.
- Make sure your import de-dupe rules are solid.
- Clean, and sanitize your data PRIOR to import as well as on import: If you have the budget, use an external data service (like D&B) to verify company names, addresses, etc. Even if the data is technically correct, it can still be content poor. It's a LOT less expensive than to spend months sorting out problems.
- Make sure your Developer is WELL VERSED in the APIs and planned data structure.
I hope that I haven't scared you here but this can end badly if you don't cover all angles.

Merging Broadband and Phone Accounts

New to the Forum. I hope someone can advise.
I have old BT Yahoo Broadband and am currently paying around £26.00 per month for the privilege. I spoke to BT about getting a better deal early last year and was placed on a less expensive contract, but when I checked my bill in August, I found the charge had reverted to the higher amount again.
On 19 August, I phoned BT and asked to be placed on their £16 per month unlimited Broadband package. I was told that this would take between 9 and 14 working days. In order for this to be done however, I first must have my Broadband account merged with the account the phone line I use for Broadband is on, as they are separate (‘unaligned’).
Yesterday, 17 working days later, I phoned and spoke to a helpful lady who, after speaking to her manager, contacted the appropriate department and arranged for the merger to be done (although I don’t know why this could not have been done sooner). She advised me this could take up to 24 hours. The she would get me put on to the new package.
24 hours later this merger had still not taken place, so I phoned BT and spoke to another adviser who confirmed that the merger request was still open, but that I would (obviously) have to wait a little longer. She said that as these account mergers were handled ‘offline’, there was nothing she could do to escalate it for me. She has promised to phone me back on Sunday (but if it’s out of her hands, I don’t know what she will be able to do if the merger hasn’t taken place).
Browsing the Internet (including this forum), I’ve been reading horror stories of people waiting weeks to have accounts merged – over 3 months in one case! So I haven’t really much to complain about yet, although nearly 4 weeks have now elapsed since my initial request on 19 August. I’m not looking forward to the possibility of receiving a quarterly Broadband bill for £78.00 in November.
I know BT are very busy and maybe I’m jumping the gun a bit here, but if anyone has any advice as to what approach to take if the usual methods of phoning and emailing BT do not achieve results, it would be much appreciated.

It is true that your account has to be merged and this can take a bit of time but shouldn't be as long as you have already waited. I will need to chase this up with the relevant team to get some action taken.

Update List Items using REST API - Keep Getting 400 Bad Request

I just found some other code that seemed to work on editing a title and edited it kind of guessing it would work and it did!

Help with order of request to move in Quality system

I have a table, search help search help exit.
I have created a table and a search help in two different requests.
I have attached the search help to the data element of one of the field.
My question what should be the order that we have to move the request into Quality system from development.
I have separate request for search and tables.
1)if i move tables then its looking for search help and giving me an error
2)if iam moving search help its looking for tables and giving me an error
and i have one more question, when i add the search help to the dataelement does the search get attached to the request generated while creating table.
is is enough to move this request only or do i need to move both the request

If you want to keep these interdependent objects in separate transport requests then you (or your SAP basis team) should take care that both requests are imported simultaneously.
The better choise, as already mentioned, is to create a new request containing the object list of both requests. However, if both requests have not yet been released then you can merge the requests (menu Utilities -> Reorganize -> Merge Requests).
Finally, when you add a search help to a data element you are touching the data element but not the search help. Thus, only the data element will be added to the transport request.

What version of Siebel CRM are you using? Please see the following knowledge article which matches the error you are seeing:
Data Quality with IIR matching against all addresses gives error SBL-APS-00118 for the sdq_set_parameter function

The issue is fixed in 8.1.1.7 fix pack and higher. The current latest fix pack is 8.1.1.8.
We would advise you to apply one of those two fix packs.

Hi ,
If you have only deleted the request from SE09/10, then it is possible to get back the objects contained in it. First if you do not have the deleted TR number, open one of the objects that were in it. Then from GO To --> Object Directory Entry --> Lock Overview. Here you will find the TR number.
Next go to SE09, right click on one of your TR numbers and choose Merge Request. Here give the Deleted TR number as the first number and a NEW TR number as the 2nd. It will copy all the objects of the deleted TR to the new one.

Transport request help

Hi All,
We have a transport request assigned to our package.We have changed 10 Queries and all changes are written into that request.
Now we have created a new request and tried to collect the objects into this request (RSA1->transport connection).But it was not possible as all objects are already under old request.
Is there any way to get all these objects collected into new request?? i know that we can do it manually but it will take lots of time.

There are two methods by which ur probm can be solved
1) merging of two requests: if u right clik on a request in SE10 u see an option of merge request, clikin on this asks u for a request number, enter the requst number u wana merge with the requst where u have right cliked and saw merge request option
2) unlock the old request: using se03 u can unlock the request, there is a tab named unlock objects in se03. clikin on this takes u to screen which asks for a request number, type the subtask and clik execute and after that the main requst in the same manner.
now after unlocking u can create a new request using transport connection
but i will suggest u to go for the second option from the two

How to change transport Request of an Object

I had assigned a transport request for an object (DTP) in transport organizer. Now i need to put this object in a different transport Request number. Is this possible? If so can someone suggest me how to do this?

Delete the DTP.
Add the DTP to the new request - You can do this in SE03 or Transport Connection.
Or
Merge Requests using Context Menu on the Request.
Or
Open the DTP - Extras ( ? ) _ Object Direct Entry - Click on Change - Assign it to a new request. - You have to delete the DTP/Unlock it from the earlier request.

Creating more Workbench requests

Hai all,
I have a question. I am making several changes in SAndbox. For each changes, the system is asking for a change request and I am creating a new one every time. Is this a good practise or does creating more no. of requests create any problem in future? May be in transport to QA and then to Production!

You can do it..
Right click on the request(1 say ) in SE09 --> Say Include Objects --> Select another request(2 say) ..
This will include all the objects of other request(2) in the first request(1).
Also see the option to Merge requests there if that is what you want to do..
