Merge to HDR Pro not working in my Photoshop CC
After selecting files in Bridge and merged them to HDR Pro in Photoshop, I could see the multiple layers opening. But then, all the files are gone. Just like nothing had happened.
It was the same if I use the
Choose File > Automate > Merge To HDR Pro.
I re-installed the Photoshop CC, the problem is still there. Anyone knows what happened?
my CC dosen't work on merge function too.

I select images in Lightroom 5 and then select Merge in HDR Pro. The images go to Photoshop (CC), but when the HDR dialog opens, the imaage area is black. I also have PS CS6 and it works correctly there. Is this a bug in CC?
BTW I'm using a Macbook Pro Retina OS X 10.8.5
I uninstalled PS and reinstalled it. Now it works ok. However, when I did the upgrade to PS 14.1.2 it reverted back to it's old way.
It's a bug in the software for me. I've unistalled and reinstalled again and won't do an upgrade untill Adobe addresses the issue. -
CS6 Merge to HDR Pro not working
It goes through the process, when it gets to the alignment of images portion, it starts the alignment process, and just stops working. Any ideas what is wrong?
OMG. 2013??? I truly am screwed. I just had this bug spring up on my comp.
Do I seriously need to pirate CC just so I can get back the functionality that I paid good money for CS6 for?

5 years working towards going legit with Adobe. 2 years legit with 1 upgrade also paid for (CS5.5-CS6) and now I still have no upgrade path (Production Premium CS6 and refuse to pay 2-3 times more for CC) and broken functionality that won't see proper support?

My photoshop CC2014 on my Mac OSX Yosemite crashes all the time with random tasks. Now almost nothing works. Sometimes it stops working after doing random tasks like starting photoshop and i have to do a hard reset by putting the power off of my Mac pro retina (2014). After logging in again i got the message from Photoshop that graphics problem occurred with a Problem report I will post here. I also cannot merge to HDR from lightroom to photoshop & also in Photoshop in the file menu > automate merge to HDR pro. It 8 of 10 times it stops working and I won't select one of the brackets. I have to force quit photoshop. I think these instability problems started after updating to Yosemite but become worser everyday. I also disabled the graphics driver, put it on basic and enabled/disabled open gl, sometimes photoshop disables it automaticly. My osx is up to date so I don't have to update my graphic driver because these updates or done within the OSX update pane. I cannot add the Problem report file in this topic, How can I do this???
Have you installed all the Photoshop updates and MacOS 10.10 updates?
Disabling GPU usage in Photoshop should help with the video driver bugs in MacOS 10.10, until Apple can solve all the driver issues (yes, Apple knows about them and is working on solutions).
What does the long, detailed crash log say?
Also, anything that freezes, shuts down, or reboots the machine is not an application error - but caused by an OS bug, a low level driver bug, or faulty hardware. Applications simply cannot cause those symptoms on modern OSes. -
I've been using PS for the past few years now, and moved onto CS5 last year. I recently decided to try out HDR photography after realising that there was an automerge. CS5 runs fine on my laptop (Windows Vista, 32 Bit) but when I use Merge to HDR Pro, the OK and Cancel buttons are not visible. I managed to work around this by using the Tab key, but after solving one problem, another has occured; the images aren't showing up on the home screen after I press the OK button. I've never had any problems with CS5 before, so not sure why it's doing this.
Can anyone help?
ThanksWe've heard from Adobe that the dialog is supposed to size itself down by squeezing out some extra space when the screen is very small. If you search hard enough you might find the thread on this forum. I believe it was from about a year ago.
Is your Photoshop fully up to date?
What is your specific screen resolution?
Have you checked to see if newer display drivers are available for your system (probably from the web site of the laptop maker).

Merge To HDR Pro not allowing me to save?
For the life of me something is wrong with my Merge To HDR Pro. I can do everything else but at the bottom where there is supposed to be an option to save there is nothing or its pushed off my screen. Here's a screenshot?

The window should be resizable for various monitors and this one is not. I am having the same problem and was about to tear my hair out. Thanks for the tip on cmd-enter, it lets me proceed, but in all reality we should be able to see the buttons at the bottom.

Merge to HDR - aligning not working
There is a checkbox called "Attempt to Automatically Align Source Images" in File/Automate/Merge to HDR Pro...
It seems to me that it does nothing. Even when I shoot with tripod and the unaligment of source images is very small, the end result is also off.
When and how should this automatic aligment work?

These are taken at the same session and in the same conditions. The only difference is the exposure time.
However, Photoshop Automate/Merge to HDR Pro function says that "Merge to HDR Pro - Images to merge may have taken with different cameras" -
Merge to HDR Pro does not work on Nikon D800 RAW (NEF) files
Hi,
I can't get Merge to HDR Pro to work on NEF RAW files from my Nikon D800 - nothing happens after after confirming the file selection. However, it works ok if I convert those files to DNG (using Lightroom 4), and if I use the D800's JPGs, and if I use Nikon D7000 NEFs. It just seems to be a problem with Nikon D800 NEFs.
Steps taken:
1. File -> Automate -> Merge to HDR Pro
2. Browse... and select NEF files (even selecting 2 files does not work).
3. Attempt to Automatically Align Source Images is checked. Then press OK.
Expected result:
Progress cursor spins as files are loaded and HDR dialog appears.
Actual result:
Nothing happens - no progress cursor or CPU or disk activity - it is as if I had clicked cancel instead of ok.
This is a clean install of the 64 bit CS6 beta on Windows 7 64 bit, with no plugins, and I reset preferences (Ctrl+Alt+Shift on startup). I do have my existing CS5 Extended still installed, as well as Lightroom 3.6 and 4.0.
I can send you the NEFs if you like.

The Ps CS6 public beta version contains the same camera support as found in Ps CS5/5.5 compatible CR 6.6. There will be future updates to CR 7 for Ps CS6 to pick up more camera support. The Nikon D800 NEF files are not supported, yet.
If you like to work with your D800 files in the public beta build now, you'll have to get the DNG Converter 6.7 from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw6-7/
and convert your files to DNG.

Merge to HDR Pro, Photoshop CS5 Mac
Hello,
I'm using Photoshop CS5 Mac. When I select "File>Automate>Merge to HDR Pro…>" then Browse to "Adobe Photoshop CS5>Samples>Merge to HDR" and select the 4 jpg images, Photoshop merges the images and opens a window that says Merge to HDR (xx%) at the top. Everything seems fine except the thumbnail images across the bottom are cropped off, their names and check box's aren't visible, and both the Cancel & Ok buttons are missing.
If I grab the window expansion in the lower right corner I can change the aspect of the window but the issues I'm having with the view do not change. I can hit return and the system will generate the HDR image. Also if I select "About Merge to HDR" when the Merge to HDR window is open nothing happens.
Can someone tell me if there is a setting I need to change in order to get the window to view correctly or is this a coding bug? I'm using an early intel iMac 17" with and additional Mac 20" monitor attached. Mac OS 10.6.4, Photoshop 12.0 x32. The iMac is set to 1440x900 and the Cinema Display is set to 1680x1050.

What happens is I go to File/Automate/Merge to HDR Pro, then select my 3 images, which are flattened psd files (I have tried tifs and jogs too), hit OK, it processes them, but instead of the image appearing, I get this black image. Merge to HDR Pro works from Photoshop CS5, not from Bridge
I have three nef files which I want to merge to hdr pro. If i have them open in PS CS5 and choose to merge them from there, all works. But if I choose the three in Bridge and use the Tools, Photoshop, Merge to HDR Pro selection from Bridge, all starts out well, but in the end, no HDR dialog box, just the 4 layers, one for each file and the lowest one the HDR layer, but nothing can be done with it since there is no dialog box. As far as I know the Abobe Bridge bridge is messed up these days for there is one Adobe bridge cc and two Photoshop CC and CC 2014 Mac can run two versions of Photoshop at once windows can not how the different bridge interfaces work I don't know. Bridge tools are set up with Bridge Startup Scripts. On Windows Bridge CC 64bit and Bridge CC 32Bit version both seen to use the start up scripts setup for the 32bit Bridge Bridge CC 64bit does not see what is in the CC 64Bits startup scripts folder. There are also problems on windows system registry for Photoshop shell commands Open and Edit. I do not use the Bridge often. Just use it to edit metadata and syncing batches of RAW File setting. I do not use Photoshop from the Bridge. But seem to be able to For I put Startup scripts in the 32bit location and fixed my windows registry keys for Phoroshop.exe....

On Windows Bridge CC 64bit and Bridge CC 32Bit version both seen to use the start up scripts setup for the 32bit Bridge Bridge CC 64bit does not see what is in the CC 64Bits startup scripts folder. There are also problems on windows system registry for Photoshop shell commands Open and Edit. I do not use the Bridge often. Just use it to edit metadata and syncing batches of RAW File setting. I do not use Photoshop from the Bridge. But seem to be able to For I put Startup scripts in the 32bit location and fixed my windows registry keys for Phoroshop.exe....

Merge to HDR PRO in Photoshop not working since NIK
Ever since I installed the full Nik suite, LR4's "Merge to HDR PRO in CS5" doesn't work. When I select it, CS5 opens but the files haven't been transfered. Before installing Nik, this worked great.
I can transfer the photo's manually by selecting all of them and using Edit in ...CS5 but that is less convenient, especially because afterwords I have import the result into LR4.
I emailed the same question to Nik and they emailed back boilerplate on how to get their HDR to work.

DougMy CS5 is up to date but my LR 4.3 isn't. I'm updating it now.
I can't find a way to check for updates for the Nik Collection. If updating LR doesn't work I will try uninstalling and reinstalling Nik. -
Merge to HDR Pro - how to make it work?
The 'Automate -> Merge to HDR' feature worked fine during the first few weeks of my Ps CS5 trial but now doesn't work. Photoshop gets through the Merge to HDR Pro dialog but throws the attached error when returning to Ps.
If Merge to HDR Pro is chosen on DNG images from Lightroom 2.7 or Bridge CS5, Photoshop again gets through the Merge to HDR Pro dialog but when creating the HDR image and returning to Ps seems to throw it away with no resulting error. Photoshop just stares blankly with no image open.
I experienced the same error with CS4 and was excited when the Merge to HDR Pro feature on my CS5 trial worked fine, yet with 5 days left in the trial the HDR feature now refuses to cooperate. It previously was working OK from the Automate menu, from Lr 2.7, and from Bridge. What exactly I did to upset Photohop is a mystery.
I've tried resetting preferences and removing all plugins and extenstions to no avail. Any ideas on how to make Merge to HDR Pro functional?There has been a long and continuous thread regarding CS5 having problems when one tries to save images that have been combined in Merge to HDR Pro. I have exactly the same problem. I have been shooting 3 images bracketed -1, 0, +1 or -2, 0, +2. When I select 3 images in Bridge. Go to Tools>Ph otoshop>Merge to HDR Pro the computer does its work and produces an image of a combination of the 3. I can see the image, and in the Layers Panel I see 3 Layers plus one Layer that is entitled Merge to HDR Pro(layer is devoid of image. When I try to Save As Photoshop freezes up. Merge to HDR Pro and Camera Raw stop working...
I have been noticing for the past few days that two aspects of PS CS6 completely stop working. Those are Merge to HDR Pro and Camera Raw 7.0. What happens is I can see a photo yet no changes take place no matter what I change, I try zooming, I try changing settings, nothing at all changes. At one point Merge to HDR Pro would not let me cancel or click okay to do anything. To solve this problem I must reboot PS. Merge to HDR Pro this problem keeps happening, with Camera Raw I have seen this issue twice so far.
