Merging 2 DSO data to another DSO

Have a query w.r.to merge of DSO data.
DSO 1
100    10    ABC  24.5
100    20    DEF  35.6
DSO 2
100   10  1001  56.8
100   10  1002  58.9
Now, in DSO 1, 100, 10 are header and item which are keys
In DSO 2, 1001, 1002 are document no so 3 keys. However this data might get updated later than DSO 1 as part of delta. Below is final output req
DSO 3 -  same keys as DSO 2. Planning to do delta dtp from both these dsos to DSO 3 without any ABAP.
100   10  1001  ABC  24.5  56.8
100   20     -      DEF  35.6    -
100   10  1002  ABC  24.5  58.9
Now if there is a new record for 20 in DSO 2, will it update the 2nd record or will it create a new record as below? I think this should overwrite 2nd record in DSO 3 and not like below. Please confirm
100   10  1001  ABC  24.5  56.8
100   20     -      DEF  35.6    -
100   10  1002  ABC  24.5  58.9
100   20  1002  DEF  35.6  65.7

Sorry for the confusion....I got the below output in DSO3:
100    10     -       ABC   24.5      -
100    20     -       DEF   35.6      -
101    10     -       LMN   67.2      -
100   10  1001     -          -        56.8
100   10  1002     -          -        58.9
Now my requirement is to only show the header and item data that has document no. If there is no document no, then show the header and item data with blank document no.
Eg:  Output should be as below:
100   10  1001     ABC    24.5      56.8
100   10  1002     ABC    24.5      58.9
100   20      -         DEF    35.6        -
101   10      -         LMN    67.2       -
Now if there is a new document no for 3rd record above in next delta with doc no 1003, final o/p needs to be as below. The previous record need not be shown...
100   10  1001     ABC    24.5      56.8
100   10  1002     ABC    24.5      58.9
100   20  1003     DEF    35.6       88.5
101   10      -         LMN    67.2       -
This seems to be through ABAP. Can some one suggest and help?

  • Syntax error in reading data from another DSO

    Hi all,
I have written a end routine to read business area from another dso the code is as follows.
    DATA:lw_c_wa type tys_TG_1-BUS_AREA.
        LOOP AT RESULT_PACKAGE ASSIGNING -BUS_AREA  = lw_c_wa-bus_area.
          refresh lw_c_wa.
               ENDIF.
        endloop.
but i am getting the following error:
    E:"FROM ...", "CONNECTION ...", "BYPASSING BUFFER", "PACKAGE SIZE ...",
or "UP TO ... ROWS" expected after "LW_C_WA".
i am not able to debug this.
    Pls any input on this.
    Regards,
    suyash

Try to debug using DTP. (Goto DTP ---> Execute Tab ---> Choose processing mode as "Serially in Dialog Process (For Debugging).
    Or goto transformation -
    > Extras --> Display generated code ---> put a break point here and execute the DTP. Then you can debug the code.

  • Stock quantity KF coming as 0 from dso A to another dso B? Please suggest.

We have one reserved stock quantity KF in prod where we are getting the values to 'A' DSO from the x data source in ECC through full update. I mean when ever there is a change to the quantity it will be updated to the A dso, if there is no change nothing will get into the A dso. if mat 1 has new 10 reserved quantity it wll come as 10 and then there is another DSO "B" where its pulling from A to B in delta update. In the B dso its a delta load from A to B. And the problem now is no matter if we have an update to mat 1 or not its pulling the quantity as 0 from A to B DSO. That is in clear scenario, mat 1 is coming as 10 yest which is right and if suppose there is no update to mat 1 today, DSO A has nothing in it which is also right. But B dso is having 0 in it which is wrong.....so this is happening for all the mat 1 .......mat 100 even if there is no quantity update in the DSO A.
For example if we have no update in the DSO A tomorrow, there is no record in DSO A but there is a mat 1 as 0 in DSO B tomorrow.
DSO A is a full update from ECC and DSO B is a delta upload from DSO A to DSO B. So all the  material's are coming as 0 even if there is no update in ECC for the reserved quantity in BI. Please suggest me any approach to fix the issue.
My requirement is mat 1 should have 10 in DSO B even today even if there is no delta update. That is it should not replace the earlier/previous reserved quantity to 0 if there is no delta change.
NOTE: If there is any delta update to DSO A -50 after a couple of days, it shows the correct quantity in DSO A as 50 and DSO B as well. But will show the reserved quantity as 0 between the old (10) and new (50) delta loads.
    dso B has these values
    mat 1- 10 - yesterday
    mat 1- 0 -today
    mat 1- 0 -next day
mat 1- 50 -after couple of days
    dso A has only these
    mat 1- 10 -yesterday
mat 1- 50 -after couple of days
    requirement in DSO B
    mat 1- 10 - yesterday
    mat 1- 10 ( since no change) - today
mat 1-  10 (since no change) - next day
mat 1 - 50 ( as new delta has come) - after couple of days

    Hi Daniel,
In Transformation between DSO A-->B, for KF reserved stock quantity the values are in Overwrite.
to check right click on the mapping of KF open Rule Details --> see Aggregation(it will be overwrite).
As per your requirement you can't change to summation also.
So i guess you have to go for ABAP code:
In Rule details set rule type to Routine and write use below code:
(suppose your source field is R_S_QTY)
declare an temp variable is global area.
    IF R_S_QTY > '0'.
    RESULT= SOURCE-FIELD->R_S_QTY.
    Temp_var = RESULT.
    ELSE.
    RESULT = Temp_var.
    ENDIF.
Hope these might resove your issue.
    Thanks,
    Jitender.

    Hi Hardeep,
Looks like the transformation and DTP need to be activated again.
The error is RSBK (299) - 'Invalid program status'. So please activate the transformation and DTP possibly activate the DSO's too.
    It should then work.
    Thanks
    Amit

  • Data load failed while loading data from one DSO to another DSO..

    Hi,
On SID generation data load failed while loading data  from Source DSO to Target DSO.
Following are the error which is occuuring--
    Value "External Ref # 2421-0625511EXP  " (HEX 450078007400650072006E0061006C0020005200650066
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0BBP
So, i'm  not getting  WHY in one DSO i.e Source  it got successful but in another DSO i.e. Target its got failed??
While analyzing all i check that SIDs Generation upon Activation is ckecked in source DSO but not in Target DSO..so it is reason its got failed??
    Please explain..
    Thanks,
    Sneha

    Hi,
I hope your data flow has been designed in such a way where the 1st DSO as a staging Device and all transformation rules and routine are maintained in between 1st to 2nd dso and sid generation upon activation maintained in 2nd DSO.  By doing so you will be getting your data 1st DSO same as your source system data since you are not doing any transformation rules and routine etc.. which helps to avoid data load failure.
    Please analyze the following
Have you loaded masterdata before transaction data ... if no please do it first
go to the property of first dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (it may not be maintained I guess)
Goto the property of 2nd Dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (It may be maintained I hope)
    this may be the reason.
Also check whether there is any special char involvement in your transaction data (even lower case letter)
    Regards
    BVR

  • How to Merge Flat file data and DSO Data

I have one DSO A which has more than 20 objects (5 of them are keys), which include 0comp_code,0gl_account,.  I have a Flat file which has the following fields ,COMPANY CODE, GLACCOUNT and SUPERVISOR ,EXECUTIVE,ANALYST. My requirement is to get a DSO with consolidated data from DSO A and Flat File data. That means for exapme, In my DSO A , I have US01 COMPANY CODE so when I merge the data in DSO C It should diplay the data for the supervisor exe and analyst for DSO A as well
When I added with 2 DSOs A (ECC ) and B (Flat file)..C is getting the data from B and its appending the data for Flat file at the end...So I want to merge both...DSO A should match  up with DSO B flat file company code and gl account and should display the remaining fields
I think its clear..Can any one let me know the solution ASAP...
Note: We are on BI7.0 not 3.5...
    Thanks in advance

I have the following key fields in DSO A :
    0COMP_CODE,OGL_ACCOUNT, 0CHRT_ACCT,0FISCVARNT,0FISCPER,0AC_DOC_NUMBER,0ITEM_NUM.
Here are the total fields in Flat File:
    COMPANY CODE,GL ACCOUNT,SUPERVISOR,ANALYST,EXECUTIVE.
Here am taking 0COMP_CODE  and 0GL_ACCOUNT  as key fileds in DSO B for Flat File...
For every month there will be 5 to 6000 records for Flat file ...
    Thanks

  • Problem in loading data from one DSO to another

    Hi All,
I am using Multicube 0PM_MP03, this mutli cube use DSO 0PM_DS02 & 0PM_DS01, data will flow from PSA to 0PM_DS01 & then to 0PM_DS02 using a Update rule, i have triggered my infopackage & i can see data in 0PM_DS01 & i have activated the data in 0PM_DS01, now on right click on 0PM_DS01 i click on the option  Additional Functions -> Update 3.x Data to Target, now the request status is green in 0PM_DS02 but i cannot see any data in this DSO, neither in new or active, can anyone help me out in this where i am doing wrong.
    Thanks,
    Pritam.

    Hi Pritam,
This is strange, Check the below points.
    1. If the number of records added 0, in manage of DSO2?
    2. Confirm if there is a transfprmation between ODS1 & ODS2. If there is, you need to use a DTP (not Additional Functions -> Update 3.x Data to Target).
    3. Activate the request and then check.
    4. Maintain PSA for the datasource 80PM_DS01 and when loading data from DSO1 to DSO2 choose option PSA and then into targets.
    Regards,
    Panksj.

  • Data exists in DSO New table but not in Active table

    Guys,
I am loading data from one DSO to another DSO, in my target DSO I have 6 fields which 2 of them are mapped in Transformation and remaining 4 will be populated by Start routine and End routines. Before Activating I am seeing all 6 fields got populated in New data table but after activating I am only seeing the 2 fields in Active data table but not those that are populated through Start and End rouitnes.
I have only one Key in my DSO, am I missing something here?please let me know.
    Thanks,
    KK

    Hi,
beside end routine, there will be one icon.
    click on that.
    you will see two options.
select the option "populate values into fields with out active transformation rules"
don't remember the words correctly but gives the same meaning...
    Activate the transformation.
    this will solve your problem

  • Unable to consolidate data from two DSOs into an InfoCube for reporting.

    Hello Experts
I am working on BW 7.0 to create BEx Report as below:
This report will have data coming from two different sources, some data from COPA DSO [such as Customer Number, Product Hierarchy1, Product Hierarchy2, Product Hierarchy3, Product Hierarchy4. Product Hierarchy5, Product Hierarchy6 and a few other Key Figures] and the rest [such as Product Hierarchy, Reference Document, Condition Type (both Active & Inactive), Condition Value and a few other Key Figures] from another DSO (ZSD_DS18) which is a copy of the BCT DSO (0SD_O06). I've chosen this DSO because this is the BCT DSO which is used to store data from a Standard Extractor 2LIS_13_VDKON.
Below are the screenshots of these 2 DSOs:
I have successfully extracted the data from 2LIS_13_VDKON (includes PROD_HIER but not Customer Number) and loaded into a DSO (ZSD_D17).
All the testing is done using only one Sales Document No (VBELN).
First test that I tried is.. to create an Infocube and loaded data from ZCOPA_01 and ZSD_DS18 and when the LISTCUBE was run on this InfoCube, the data is coming up in two different lines which is not very meaningful. Screenshot below:
Therefore, I have created another DSO (ZSD_DS17) to Consolidate the data from ZCOPA_01 & ZSD_DS18 establishing mappings between some of common Chars such as below:
    ZCOPA_01                    ZSD_DS18
    0REFER_DOC  <->        0BILL_NUM
    0REFER_ITM    <->        0BILL_ITEM
    0ME_ORDER    <->        0DOC_NUMBER
    0ME_ITEM        <->        0S_ORD_ITEM
51 records are loaded from ZSD_DS18 into ZSD_DS17 and 4 records are loaded from ZCOPA_01 into ZSD_DS17 for a particular Sales Document Number.
When I am using a Write-Optimized DSO, data is coming in just 1 line but it is showing only 4 lines which is aggregated which is as expected since W/O DSO aggregates the data. However, when I use Standard DSO, the data is again splitting up into many lines.
Is there something that I am missing in here while designing the Data Model or does this call for some ABAP being done, if so, where or should I have to talk to the Functional Lead and then Enhance the Standard Extractor, and even if I do that, I would still have to bring in those Key Figures from ZCOPA_01 for my reporting?
Thank you very much in advance and your help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chandu

in your (current) InfoCube setup, you could work with "constant selection" on the key figures
for the COPA key figures, you'll need to add product hierarchy to the key figures with a selection of # and constant selection flagged
for the SD key figures, you'll have to do the same for customer & the product hierarchy levels (instead of product hierarchy)

  • Getting Error while activating data in 0FI_GL_4 DSO level (SIDs)

    Hi
I have succesfully loaded data for the 0FI_GL_4 for two DSOs One is successful but for other DSO, it is failing on activation with the following errors: -
*Value '! OTS Harness' (hex. '210020004F005400530020004800610072006E006500730073') of characteristic 0POSTXT contains invalid characteristics
*Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject 0POSTXT
    *Process 000266 returned with errors
I have the '!' as a permitted charcter in RSKC but, the text is starting with the char "!" that is why it is throwing an error.
Now how can I edit these records in PSA without effecting the first DSO which is successful.
    DSO settings:
    SID Generation --> During Activation.

    Hi,
    DSO1 - Successfully loaded and DSO2 - load failed.
One dso was loaded data and another got failed.
In such case try below method.
You can make request red at DSO1 and delete it.
Make failed request red at dso2 level.
Later delete the failed request from DSO2. this makes that as latest request not loaded to your dsos.
After that go to your PSA and open latest request which was not loaded to dso.
display latest request data from psa and find your wrong record based on filter on 0POSTXT.
Once you find wrong record, select record and edit and save it.
Again re run your dtp and activate dso data.
    Thanks

  • I couldnu0092t load master data into a DSO

    Hi,
    I need some help!!
I’am trying to load master data to a DSO, but I don’t find the way to do it.
Particularly, I want to fill a field of my DSO with an attribute of an InfoObject (that is also a key field of the DSO).
I create a transformation rule that connect my DSO with my transactional extractor; this rule fills all the fields, with the exception of which it is had to be complete with the attribute of this infoObject. The infoObject has his own transformation rules, which connect this master data characteristic with a M. T. extractor.
This DSO will be used only as a data warehouse that provides data to another system.
How I could load this attribute to my DSO? Anyone’s knows the steps to do it?
Thanks in advances for any kind of help.
    Best regards
    Juan Manuel

    Hi Voodi,
Yes, I have de BI 7. 0 version.
I will comment my situation. My DSO has three key fields (society, number of doc. and schedule line), one of these is my master infoObject (the number of document). This InfoObject has an attribute (the people who enter de document), which I couldn’t load it using my transactional extractor because it doesn't’t have the R/3 field in the extractor. That’s why; I decided to load it using master data.
First I charge my DSO with the master InfoObject and his attribute, using a transformation rule that connect my infoprovider with de master IO data table.
Then I charge the rest of the DSO fields, including again the master infoObjeto data field. In this case, I used a transformation rule that connect my infoProviders with a transactional extractor.
After this, when I want to execute the activation of both request, I couldn’t do it because the system don’t let me.
The way I do all what I says, is correct? When I am modeling the data transfer process, I have to consider something in particular?
When I want to load the master data to the DSO, I consider only one of the key fields of the DSO (number of doc); there is any problem if I don’t consider the others two key fields.
    Thanks in advances,
    Juan Manuel

  • Data fields in dso

    Hi
If I need to calculate amount based on source and destination, and if these two source and destination fields char are there in data fields of dso and keyfigure amount is also in data fields of DSO can we get exact value if make report on this.
    thx
    rubane

Actually i need to build report where in rows there will be some char
like source plant and destination plant and in rows on the basis of source and destination the cummulated value of amount base on some other few restriction
    now my question is :-
acc to my need I need to make genric extractor but one is already there which contains all my fields. now can i use the same extractor, but the worry is ;these all feilds are first going in dso and all are there in data fields coloumn
What I'm thinking is; it will suppress or accumulte records on the basis of key field's(as usual).
so can you pls let me know what to do in this scenario?
how to build a new report using existing extractor ;can i use existing one?

  • Error while Activating DSO Data

    Hello
I am having a problem, I am getting an Error while activating DSO Data, Data is loaded in DSO succefully but can not be activated with this error
"Activation of M records from DataStore object 0FIAR_O03 terminated"
    Thanks

    Hi,
The activation would have failed due to varies reasons..
It would be a short dump, check in ST22.
check the job log in SM37 for better understanding of the issue.
Have you loaded the respective master data?
if it is a transaction data load, then the SID is checked at the time of activation and not during loading.
So if the master data is not loaded then the activation would fail.
It can also be due to the system performance at that moment.
Even if the data volume is huge ,there are chances of the activation failing..
Try repeating the activation once again.it might succeed..
Else check the logs to understand the actual issue.

  • Data Mismatching in DSO

    Hi Folks,
We  have data mismatch issue for one info object ( BASE UOM ) when the data goes from staging DSO to conformance DSO.I will explain the issue here.
For one invoice no the Base UOM value dispayed as M2 in the staging DSO.When the data goes from staging DSO to conformance DSO,in the conformance DSO the Base UOM dispayed as Blank value. There is no code written for calculation  of Base UOM in transformation level. This is direct a mapping to field Base UOM in the conformance DSO from staging DSO.For all other invoices the Base UOM value dispalyed correctly in conformance DSO when compare to staging DSO. For one specific invoice the base UOM value showing as blank in the conformance DSO.
Could you please give me your suugestions what the reasons for showing  base UOM value showing as a blank value in Conformance DSO.
    Thaks for your advance.
    Regards,
    Nag

    Hi,
You will have to check following things,
    1) Check if other records with base unit value as M2 are updated properly in conformance DSO. This will make sure that there is no issue with this particular base unit.
    2) As you have mentioned other records are successfully getting updated, you might have to debug the data load for this particular record. Do the selective data loading and check, where the unit is getting cleared.
You can also check if there is any conversion routine at the infoobject level.
    Regards,
    Durgesh.

  • Reg Data fields in DSO

    Hello SAP Guru's!!!!
I have some doubt on maximum number of data fields in DSO. I gone through so many threads on SCN, but could not clarify my doubt.
The max no of key fields in DSO is -- 16
Max no of data fields in DSO is --749.
But i read in some of the scn documents  a table can have maximum 256 columns .
DSO is also like a two dimensional table which can also have the same properties of a two dimensional table.
if the above statement of mine is correct.. the number of columns in a DSO is 256 columns = 16(primary key)+240 (data fields--non key fields)
but how come 749 data fields (max) will be there ? if it is so ... the max no of  fields will be  749+16 = 765.
I need some clarification on this ....
    Awaiting for your responses!!!!

    Hi Rajavamshi,
    For DSO:
    1. See for Standard DSO we have Key fields & Data Fields will be there
    2. Key Fields will store only Characterisitc Info Objects, maximum no.of characteristic info object we can add here was 16
    3. But in Data fields we can add both Characterstics & Keyfigure infoobjects, Max of 749 data fields we can add here.
    4. Atleast one field should be there in either Key fields & Data fields.
    For InfoCube :
    1. Info cube structure will be having the 16 Dimensions and the Key Fields.
    2. In that 16 Dimensions 13 User defined and the 3 pre defined dimensions.
    3. One user defined Dimension will maximum can hold 248 Characteristics Info Object, not the Keyfigure Info Object here.
    4. But the Key Fields here will store maximum will hold 233 Key Figure Info Object.
    Thanks..!!
