Merging 2 iTunes into 1

Hi I hope someone can help!!
I have until now had two users on my pc one for I pad and another for iPhone as the deviceswere different sizes and I wanted music on phone and photos on pad..
However I have just got a iPhone 4s and it has the same gb as my iPad. I have also signed up for iCloud on iPad but couldn't do it on iPhone as it was an older 3G model..
Basically all I want to do is merge both of the iTunes onto one user account on pc. So I have everything on both devices and also backup up on the iCloud..
Any ideas? I am gonna have a play around now but if anyone knows any easy way of doin this I would love to know!?

No, it is not possible to merge accounts. Choose one as the primary account and keep a local backup of all purchases so you don't get into the mess where you encounter a 90 day freeze on re-downloading past purchases from multiple accounts.

Apple has no provisions for this. You cannot merge multiple Apple ID's into one ID. Content is always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.

Some of my music can't be opened by itunes because it says it is in another library. As there are several of these and they won't open,I can't see where the songs I want are. Therefore I would like to open ALL the libraries and merge them into one. Thanks for any help.

Hmm, read that post of Dave Sawyer's and thought well, that's Ok I have it on my iPod, but no, it's not there either. Then resorted to Time Machine (not used for a few months (took it away with us when we evacuated to avoid Cyclone Yasi) only to find that is playing up also, and it doesn't appear to be anywhere there either!
One thing leads on to another - Time Machine has only backed up to 3 months back; then there is nothing beyond! yet there is tons of stuff on it. Maybe it backs up the whole system each time, and not just the changes made inbetween times. The prefs. won't appear and so I can't change the setup.
All this just because of one sone!

If you mean iTunes Store accounts, you can't.
If you mean iTunes libraries, import the files and playlists from one library to the other.

i've google searched this quite a bit, but seem to come up with various answers. I have several iTunes Media folders floating around and would like to consolidate everything into one place, and get rid of duplicates as well. What to do?

Why are you posting a second thread with the same question. This one isn't any clearer than your first post.
What do you mean "merge itunes libraries from two separate accounts"? You have an iPod listed. Are you talking about getting music from two separate iTunes libraries on two separate computers? Are you talking about getting iTunes purchased music on a single iPod from two separate Apple/iTunes IDs?
What is it that you are wanting to do? If you do not take the time to explain what it is you are wanting to accomplish, then you are not going to get the information you need to do it. We are not mind readers.

Hi guys.
Instead of just trying to share itunes across several devices. i'm also trying to share itunes and one library across multiple users of one iMac without having to ask for permission everytime somebody wants to listen to music.
Also, since starting a family, we'd like to combine our separate itunes accounts into one master account for the household. is there any way to merge itunes accounts and permissions for songs and apps?

You can't merge iTunes accounts, purchases are tied to their respective Apple ID.
Not sure about the other, you'd be better off posting to the iMac or iTunes section.

Using rsync to merge itunes libraries

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll try here. I'm trying to create a script to backup my laptop's (smaller and ever changing) itunes library to a server that has all my music on it. i've looked everywhere for this answer online and can't find anything.
the problem is, I can easily rsync the laptop's library to the server, without deleting, so that I have essentially merged whatever new purchases I've made on my laptop into the archival library on the server. . . creating an ever growing music backup on the server. However, how does the itunes library on the server know to add these new tunes to its itunes library file? I know I could go in and drag the server's itunes music folder into the server's itunes app, and the merged songs would then be added to the library xml file, but i was wondering if there was a way to automate that process as well... (in rsync or otherwise)...
anyone have any ideas?

No Apple ID's can not be merged.
Why have you created so many accounts? You could simply update your Apple ID's email to a new one if the email account stops functioning.

When I upload audio from itunes into my imovie project, it does not show all of the track?

Hi, I have opened a new project in imovie - I have uploaded 200 photos into the project to make a Comic Book movie!
this project is 7 mins and 8 seconds long - the exact length of the audio track that I want to play during the movie!
I have selected the music by clicking the musical note button in imovie, which open up my itunes library and displays the track I want to use that is 7 mins and 8 seconds long.
When I click and drag my MP3 audio from itunes into my imovie project, i only plays the first 5 mins & 33 seconds; leaving my project in silence for the final 1 min & 3 seconds????
I have not added markers, there are no fade ins or fade outs - only the first 5 min & 33 seconds or a 7 min & 8 seconds MP3 Audio track???
I have spent 10 hours trying to rectify this problem.......
can anyone help me with this problem

Im just guessing but it seems like you would have to get your movie into the correct folder on a computer then use iTunes to sync it to your iPad. If you've synced to a computer and have movies then on your computer should be a folder with the movie in it. You could export your iMovie to something like Dropbox then download from Dropbox to the folder you think it needs to be in the sync your iPad again. Again this is just a guess. Others may have a better answer.
