Merging 2 volumes into 1

Ok now I am running out of space on my Mac OSX Volume but there is a Macintosh HD Volume.
The issue I'm running into is that when I went to the Disk Utility to try and remove the partition it tells me that the Mac OS X partition is the start up volume and it cannot be removed the Macintosh HD volume says that "This Volume will not be erased"
Just to make sure everyone understands. There is 2 separate volumes one name "Mac OSX" and one named "Macintosh HD"
So what do I do?

Hi, ldeffinbaugh. Backing up to a server will make things much more complicated than they need to be. Don't even think about it.
Get an external FireWire hard drive larger than the combined size of both partitions on your internal drive. Partition and format it to suit yourself, making sure it contains at least one partition that is larger than your present internal drive.
Make a bootable clone, on that partition, of the bootable partition on your internal hard drive, using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. When that clone is complete, boot the computer to it to confirm that it is in fact bootable.
Assuming that works OK, drag-copy everything from the data partition on your internal drive onto the cloned volume on the external drive. You can sort and file all the data at this time, or you can copy all of it into a single folder on the external drive and sort it out at your leisure. I recommend the latter.
Boot to the external drive, open Disk Utility on it, repartition and reformat your internal drive, quit Disk Utility, and then clone the external drive back onto the single-partition internal drive, making sure to specify that the clone is to be bootable. This time you will be cloning the entire contents of both partitions that were on the internal drive, because all of them are contained in a single volume on the external drive.
Finally, you will want to sort out and file the data that was on your separate data partition before, fitting it all logically into the folder hierarchy of your newly repartitioned drive.
This is by far the simplest procedure possible to accomplish what you want to do, and a bootable clone on an external drive is by far the most useful and convenient kind of backup to have and maintain in the long run.

How many pictures (or how many bytes) are we talking? Now that the pictures are imported one way to cross users is to use a removable drive (although large volumes of files preclude this).
The other is to login as the user where the pictures are, then copy them into the public drop box of the user where you want the picture.
The arrow is showing (in ths example) copy files from the Pictures folder for my user to the guest user accounts public dropbox. When you do this you may have to authenticate and you won't be able to see the results of the copy until you log in as the other user.
All users are in the folder "/Users/"

No, it is not possible to merge accounts. Choose one as the primary account and keep a local backup of all purchases so you don't get into the mess where you encounter a 90 day freeze on re-downloading past purchases from multiple accounts.

Apple has no provisions for this. You cannot merge multiple Apple ID's into one ID. Content is always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.

Convert different types of files and merged them into one pdf

Hi, everyone. I'm girl from China.
There is folder containing severl files of different types, like doc, msg, jpeg etc. And I want to convert and merge them into one pdf following a certain order. I know that PDFmaker can do that nicely, but the problem is that I have like 3000+ fodlders that requires the same work.
I want to do it with VBA and Acrobat. I have a Acrobat XI Standard Version and a perfect license, by the way

How can I open all my itunes libraries and merge them into one?

Some of my music can't be opened by itunes because it says it is in another library. As there are several of these and they won't open,I can't see where the songs I want are. Therefore I would like to open ALL the libraries and merge them into one. Thanks for any help.

Hmm, read that post of Dave Sawyer's and thought well, that's Ok I have it on my iPod, but no, it's not there either. Then resorted to Time Machine (not used for a few months (took it away with us when we evacuated to avoid Cyclone Yasi) only to find that is playing up also, and it doesn't appear to be anywhere there either!
One thing leads on to another - Time Machine has only backed up to 3 months back; then there is nothing beyond! yet there is tons of stuff on it. Maybe it backs up the whole system each time, and not just the changes made inbetween times. The prefs. won't appear and so I can't change the setup.
All this just because of one sone!

Acrobat 9 Pro Merge Files Into Single PDF

Just wanted to know if there's a way on Acrobat 9 Pro,i can select a folder using Merge Files Into Single PDF and have it merge each of the subfolders in the folder into separate single PDFs and have then retain the names of their corresponding subfolders? At the moment i'm having to do one folder at a time and then name them.

I tried Document > Insert Pages and that worked.
I then ran the "Repair" feature on Adobe which installed a few updates and I am now also able to merge pdf's by using the "Combine" feature and all the pages show the text/info.

Acrobat Pro 9: "Merge files into a single pdf" creates blank pages

I have a similar problem as a previous post (which hasn't been answered).
I am able to pdf individual Word documents fine, but when I try to Combine > Merge files into a single pdf, the resulting pdf pages are all blank. I don't receive any error messages or have problems saving the file.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (9.5.1) on Windows 7.
The merging of pdf's hasn't worked at all since I installed the program.
Any help would be much appreciated.
