Merging calendars in iCloud

I'm just getting used to iCloud. How do I merge multiple calendars listed under my iCloud?

You your other family members are iCloud users you could just privately share your Home calendar with them, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a9479.  This would give them ready/write access to it.  Or, if they aren't iCloud users, you could publically share it and they would still have read access to it.
Otherwise you would have to go to icloud.com and drag and drop the events from Home to Family.

  • Merging calendars on icloud

I am trying to find a way to merge all of my incoming calendars into one calendar and have it published to Icloud, so I only have to share one calendar with my family.
For example, i would like my google calendar, microsoft exchange calendar, and my iphone calendar all to be condensed into one calendar on my phone (with the ability to write to any of them if possible).  That one calendar then would be synced with Icloud so I can share it with my wife.  Then she could do the same thing with her calendars and we would have one calendar with events from multiple calendars.  Easier to manage and review.
    Any ideas?
(Iphone 4, recently upgraded to ios6)

    Thanks Csound.
I deleted all the incorrect entries and am now on iClould only going forwards which is working well.
I imagined when I started up, iCloud would have asked me for a preferred iCal from all the devices.  ie To use my Mac's then wipe and copy all this info on to MBP and iphone.
It seems it just amalgamated all info from all devices.
In the end it took me twenty minutes to delete all the rogue entries, so not a huge problem.
    Thanks

  • Merging calendar with iCloud while using gmail account

I have a me.com account that I never use - just bought it years ago when I got mobileme and my calendar has always synced easily from my mac to my iphone. I never read the info about the switch to icloud which is probably why I'm confused now. But all the sudden my iphone calendar isn't syncing with my mac calendar. The key is, I don't want to have to change my email to my "me.com" address to use the calendars. Also, would like to use notes but not sure I can without switching to me.com. Any suggestions?

An iCloud email account is required to sync notes with iCloud.  You don't have to use the email account but it must be present on your phone.  Just create the account, then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Mail section) and make sure this is set to your Gmail account.  Then just ignore the iCloud email account.

  • Dynamic Merged calendar on iCloud or another server?

    Hi everyone.
I'm trying to do something here, and I can't fix it.
Problem:  I have a very complicated calender for myself.  Just on iCloud so it syncs between my mac and my iPhone.
But: I want to publish a merged version of all of my calenders on some server or iCloud so other people can see my sceduale.
I do not want them to see 14 different calenders in 14 different colors.  I want them to just see if I'am available at a certain given time.
They do not have to put in new appointments, it's just for planning their day, not mine.
Problem is, I want to have it dynamical (so that if I change something, they can also see the change automatically)
Someone who can help me with this?
    Thank you.

  • How do I remove one of the calendars from iCloud but keep it on the iPhone to sync with Outlook by USB and keep the other calendars synced on iCloud ?

iPhone 5, Macs and iPads at home, Windoze7 system at work.
Using iCloud to sync calendars, contacts, etc on all the home devices.  Used USB cable to sync at work with the Windows system, with the Outlook 2010 corporate account (corporate server).  I need only the Outlook calendar to be synced, syncing the contacts created too many problems with duplication, etc.  No need for that.  Worked fine until the latest upgrate to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1.  Used to have a calendar that was not on iCloud and was simply and exclusively syncing between the iPhone and the Windows computer at work. The other 3 calendars synced fine with the macs and iOS devices via iCloud but not with the machine at work - keeping private records private.
Upon the iOS upgrade, all calendars are now on iCloud.  I am no longer able to remove one - for security too - from the iCloud and sync it with the Windows computer exclusively.  I managed to sync it once on the PC with iTunes by switching iCloud off on the iPhone before connection by USB cable.  Trying it again, it tells me that it will erase all items on the Outlook account (the "more than 25% of your records are going to change" alert) and won't add or modify any.  I stopped the sync in time...
Tried on the iCloud site for a solution to remove the calendar, nothing.
There is no iCloud setup on this corporate computer - no access permitted. The USB cable connection is the only solution and up to the upgrade of the iOS this went seamlessly.
    Any solution out there?
    Thanks

I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

  • How can I sync the standard Outlook calendar with the "Calendar in iCloud"? I just get 2 calendars which are not synchronized.

I am using a PC with Windows 7 and MS Office/Outlook 2007 together with the latest iCloud control panel.
Everything seems to be fine, but the synchronization works only for the calendar "Calendar in iCloud". Which is the one coming from my iPhone.
Which means the iCloud function is working from the iPhone.
When I update my standard Outlook calendar "Calendar" on the PC it is not getting transferred to the "Calendar in iCloud".
    How can I "merge" them?
I have to use the standard Outlook Calendar because it is the one connected to the Exchange server and shared among my colleagues.

  • My calendar on iCloud is missing most older events

My calendar on iCloud is missing all but recurring events that happened a year or more ago. I have therefore lost these events on my MacBook and Touch, too. I have an old backup of my calendar data, but it seems that if I use this to restore iCal on my MacBook, I'll lose all newer events.  Can I merge the two backup files? When I tried to use an old backup to populate my calendar on the MacBook, I got an error message that it would wipe out the data now on my calendar.  I want to merge the old data with newer events.  Is there a workaround that will let me do this?  I imagine this happened when I moved to iCloud, but it seems unlikely that I would not have looked for older events on my calendar (and found them missing) since then.
In addition to one iCal backup, I have Time Machine, which doesn't seem to allow you to look at older calendars, and a versioned backup to an external drive using Data Backup.  I thought that one of these would let me look at old calendar data, but it's almost pointless if I can't merge the data or at least have a separate calendar for older data.

i had this problem too, but after looking at this post I went into settings, iCloud and toggled the Calendars to on (green). I then went back into the calendar and the plus sign was available.

  • Calendar, iCal, iCloud & Security, Privacy & Access on a Mac

With the introduction of 10.8, it seems no longer possible to have calendars locally on your Mac and on iCloud as turning on iCloud forces you to migrate all your local calendars to iCloud. But then why would you care? Here's why:
    - What if your internet connection goes down and you want to check appointments or change them?
    - What if you are in an area without internet access?
    - What if Apple's servers malfunction, as they have lately for Mail, limiting access to your iCloud information?
    - What if Apple's servers get hacked - i.e. privacy concernes?
    - Privacy concernes in general.
However there is a way around this issue that allows you to keep both local and iCloud calendars in Calendar. Here is how you do it:
    - Export any calendars you wish to be kept on your mac (as opposed to iCloud) using the "Export" command in Calendar. Note where you save them.
    - Delete these calendars. It doesn't matter if iCloud is activated or not in iCloud System Preferences.
    - If iCloud is not checked in iCloud System Preferences, check it. iCloud will merge, if it has not already, all remaining calenders into iCloud. No local calendars will remain.
    - If this process recreates calendars that you have exported, delete them.
    - Open Calendar preferences and choose 'Accounts'
    - Select Account Information, the "iCloud/caldav" account if not selected,  and uncheck the box "Enable this account".
    - Close Calendar preferences. Your iCloud calendars will disappear.
    - In Calendar create and name a new calendar. This will now be a local calendar on your Mac.
    - In Calendar use the "Import File" command to import the desired exported calender into the new calendar
    - Repeat the last two steps for each calendar you want locally on your Mac.
    - When you are finished, open Calendar Preferences and recheck the box "Enable this account"
Your iCloud calendars will reappear and your local calendars will remain.
To move an event from one calendar to another - i.e. from local to iCloud or back, simply right-click on the event and choose the calendar.
Do not forget to set you default calendars:
This can be done for local calendars in Calendar Preferences.
For iCloud on the Web it depends on calendar order. The top one is the default calendar.
Note that if you set of local calendars on your Mac, when you are on the web, iCloud Calendars will know nothing about them.
Personally I keep all events local except those I wish to share on my internal network or ones I wll need when I travel and will not have my computer with me. That way my privacy in regards to Calendar is better protected and I can gain access to my events from my own computer, even my connection shuts down for whatever reason.

My calendar on iCloud is not correct.  I would like to delete the iCloud version and merge the corrected calendar to iCloud.  I could not find an option to delete on iCloud.  Any help appreciated.

  • HT4847 I have an iphone and ipad, how do I merge the two icloud space together

I have an iphone and ipad, how do I merge the two icloud space together

Your iCloud account has 5GB space for email, for calendar and contacts syncing, for iWork documents and for iOS backups - all these live on the sever. Both devices access the account; the 5GB space they make use of is the same and is on the server. It's not a case of two spaces, one for each device.

  • Ios7 doesn't synchronize anymore Window calendar with Icloud - any help

    Since I'm on IOS7 my calendars ( outlook-Icloud ) doesn't synchronize abymore

I don't use iCloud; I connect through USB.  I was having the same problem.  I sucked it up & paid for a support call.  The guy had me make it so iTunes doesn't automatically synchronize my iPhone when I connect it.  Then I clicked the synchronize calendars / contacts buttons (as I always had them).  Now when I connect my iPhone / iPad, I'll have to manually open iTunes and click the "sync" button at the bottom.  This is sort of a pain, but *way* better than having to merge the info. each time!

  • Merging MobileMe to iCloud

Merged my MobileMe account to iCloud and now have to iCloud accounts.  How can I merge these two accounts so I only have one.
I am willing to give up my @me.com account!!!

Yes, my comcast account is my primary icloud account and itunes account.  When 4Gs phones were delivered, it was the account on those phones.
I do not use the @me account.  Only item that was shared over the mobileme account was the calendar.  Mail and Contacts were never synced and kept on separate iphones and corresponding macs.
I spoke with apple care this afternoon and the rep was very puzzled and had no solution for me.
My goal would be to migrate my calendar @me icloud to my comcast icloud account.  There are 12 separate colored coded calendars in that account.
Your responses and help are greatly appreciated.

  • TS3988 how can i merge my two icloud accounts information

How can I merge my two iCloud accounts information

Apple doesn't provide a direct merge operation but you can connect in one account, disconnect but keep the data on the device, then connect with the other account and merge the data.
    Details...
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, log into the other iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc.  Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there.  These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE:  Photos in the first account's photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the other account.  It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.

The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.
