Merging Libraries, along with our lives...

When my wife and I got married, we both brought iPods full of our favorite music to the marriage. We have only one computer, and decided to use my iTunes account. The problem with this is she can't put anything new from our library on her iPod, since iTunes want to erase everything. She never had an iTunes account, but used a work computer to rip her entire cd collection to her iPod. Is there any way to either pull the songs from her cd collection off the iPod into our library, or put new stuff from our library on her iPod?

1). Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. In manual mode you'll also be able to drag content from iTunes to the iPod is you wish: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to copy songs to iTunes from the iPod. If you only want to copy your purchases to the computer that can be done using iTunes, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (including purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here (you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well):

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
4). Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

Hi All.
We're looking into Data Management tools to go along with our PeopleSoft applications.
So far we have done a little looking into solutions from Informatica for Data-Archiving, Data-Subsetting, and Data-Masking.
All three appear to have pre-built PSoft solutions, and go after what we are trying to achive.
I was wondering if anybody could weigh in on the Products, or others that they have used, custom for PeopleSoft Apps (Fin & HR).

A lot of the time PeopleTools contains a lot of features that we do not know or have forgotten and tend to use external (paid) solutions.

Need Help Can i use Merge command along with exist function in oracle?

I am using Merge command to update the destination table and updating the rows which are already in the destination table.
But what i want is to delete the existing rows from the destination table and insert fresh rows instead of updating the existing rows in the destination table.
So can we use exist function to check the existing rows and delete them and use merge command to insert the rows in the table.

You definitely need to do a DELETE then INSERT since MERGE will not delete rows, although I'm not really sure what that gets you since the net effect would be the same as a MERGE over the same pair of tables.
If you really want to do it this way, then I would likely do something like:
DELETE FROM target_table
WHERE (columns_you_would_match_on) IN (SELECT columns_you_would_match_on
FROM source_table
WHERE predicate_you_would_use_in_using);
INSERT INTO target_table (column_list)
SELECT column_list
FROM source_table
WHERE predicate_you_would_use_in_using;John

Google Map is showing another company along with ours

My goggle maps file seems fine until you zoom in. There is another company named Advanced Agricultural "pinned" in our spot. The company is no longer here. How do I get this corrected?

How do I merge libraries?

Does anybody know how to merge libraryies other than in IPLM??
That program for some reason doesn't work on this computer - and they have been unable to help me.
Basically when I open the program and add the libraries I want to merge I get two error messages:
"I Photo is not responding to requests for data"
and..
"IPhoto is not responding to commands being sent by iphoto Library Manager.."

If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can merge libraries with Aperture.
Otherwise the only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager
The messages you are getting sound more like an issue with your Library.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

2 apple ID's to 1. With so many people having the same issue of 2 legitimate accounts by accident or whatever, why would Apple not let us merge them into one? It would simplify our lives and I don't see why Apple won't allow this.

2 accounts to 1. I was so anxious to set up my new iPad at the store that I accidentally set up a new Account. With so many people requesting to merge 2 legitimate accounts that they own, I can't understand why Apple is refusng to allow us to do so! This would simplify our lives so much. I have just switched over to Apple products and if I could at least set up both accounts on my iPad it would help -without signing in and out. I could do this on my android.

Populating our log message along with standard sap log in ck11n.

Hi all,
I have developed a user exit which is used in costing of material using ck11n.
Here i have to show our custom log message along with the standard log shown by standard sap system after costing run is complete.
I got one FM-- CM_F_MESSAGE which is used by SAP. But i want the message along with SAP messages and not separately.
Can u help me out for this. its very urgent.

I'm not sure because I don't know that trx, but I seem the function group of that function manages a log, so you can try.
This is an extract of abap code of SAPLCKDI where that fm is used:

So I suppose you should call it by this way:

No it is not possible. Content purchased from the iTunes Store is permanently tied to the account from which it was originally purchased, and Apple does not provide a way to change it.

Itunes 9 just installed along with Explorer 8 and Windows Live...

Hello- Itunes says cannot connect with store sometimes, but then connects at other times. Then diagnoses says cannot creat secure link with store. Then it was all good and I bought an album.. it didn't download 3 of the songs, will I get charged? Also, how can I trouble shoot the connection. I have firewall set for allowing Itunes. I have recently upgraded to Explorer 8 with Windows Live and installed Itunes 9. My high speed connection and router are 100% a-ok. Will someone please suggest any cures for these issues, I like Itunes and would like to continue to use the store but this is the first bummer I've had so far...

I am not sure about intermittent secure connection failure, but something you could try which often works with isolated secure connection failure is this:
Go to Internet Options>>Advanced tab.
Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation".
This should normally be checked, but it can sometimes cause connection problems. I also seems like something that could be intermittent.

If you did that (if it were possible) then you would not receive any e-mails because all your contacts would still be sending them to the old address, which would no longer be valid. What you need to do is set up a new e-mail address for yourself, then let everyone know it, by sending an e-mail to all your contacts.

Going live with our consolidation server?

We have used our consolidation PI 7.0 to run through a series of performance test and integration test with our trading partners. The instance has test data and information based on the interface testing. Our production server will not be ready in time....
What are the issues if we decide to use the consolidation instance (probably copy it with all of the TP information. Is there any issues with this?

yeah I was thinking about that.
I stopped Tomcat and started IIS (in shame), I could conect to the IIS welcome page without problems, even on my IPhone.
when I stop IIS and start Tomcat I can't connect at it looks like nothing is listening on port 80 for external connections. Local connections work perfectly.
Do I need to change the server.xml file to allow external connection. Currently I am using the default setting apart from changing the port to "80"

Problems with windows live mail

Hi there,
Today I received my blackberry 8520, but i've got one problem with my windows live mail account. I only receive the e-mails on my live account after i checked them on my computer.
I did receive an announcement that when i use an e-mailclient, in my situation microsoft outlook, i have to change the settings of this client. If the client doesn't save my e-mails on the server, blackberry is unable to deliver them to my device.
I unsterstand the problem but i can't solve it. Is there anybody who knows how to solve my problem?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Outlook has settings that dictate what it does when you have it grab your email from the server. The location is variable depending on Outlook version...I can only give you the steps for my version (2K7). From within Outlook:
Tools > Account Settings > select the account > Change > More Settings > Advanced
On that screen, you must change the "Delivery" options so that the messages are left on the server for BIS to be able to retrieve them. BIS grabs email every 15 minutes. If you have Outlook running and have it grabbing email every 5 minutes AND have it (via this screen) removing the email from the server when it does so, then there will be nothing for BIS to grab when it makes its next scheduled attempt. You need to change these settings to something that allows BIS to have something to grab from the server when it tries.
What to set these to is a function of your needs and your email providers policies. Typically, if you set Outlook to Leave messages on the server yet remove them after 1 day, you can stay within all needs and policies.

Synchronize with Windows Live Mail

Hi!
Newbie here and I apologize if this has already been posted. I'm using Windows Live Mail running on Windows XP SP3 and BBDesktop Manager v6.0. How do I configure the synch settings for mail and calendar? When I select either of these to synch, the options I'm presented with are None, Yahoo, or ASCII Text.
