Merging two projects in RH 10

I have recently started using RH 10 (was on 7 for a long time). I had a request that users wanted to combine two robohelp files into one. (We have a Front Counter Manual and a Systems Manual. They would like to combine them into one project).
Is there an easy way to do this without messing each of these projects up?

Whilst my instructions are lengthy, that is to give a full explanation of all the ins and outs. In your case the work will be little more than creating a parent and setting up your two existing projects as children.
It's a lot easier than trying to have one source project.

Merging two projects with Premiere elements 12.

Hello,
On my computer (windows 7) i have different directories with movie-fragments. From each directory i made a movieproject. It took a long time to trim everything. Now i have one project from 1,5 hours and another from 20 minutes. I would like to put the two projects together and then cut it into two projects. I was suprised that i could not do that. I could not copy the movie with titles in one project and copy it to the other project. Also i could not find any way to import one movie into the other. Very strange. I would think that this is a basic function the program should have.
I found out that i can work of course with the Project Asset and import the moviefragments again, but then i have to trim everything again.
I could also export one movie as for example AVI and then insert it with the Project Asset into the other project. But then i have no possibility to change the titles and transitions.
Does anyone know a way to merge two projects?????

No version of Premiere Elements allows the user to open one project file (project.prel file) in another.
You can copy/paste insert between two project files (project.prel) using ClipMate in conjunction with Premiere Elements. You cannot do a copy/paste insert between projects without ClipMate in use with Premiere Elements. The How To for this Windows Only feature is found

The alternative is to export your project 1 Timeline "trim" selectively to a file saved to the computer hard drive and then import that export into project 2.
In this workflow considerations need to include project 1 export format consistent with project 2 import settings.

Solution Directory----Merging two projects in Solution

Dear Team,
I am working in Sol Man 4.0 SP 13.
we have created two projects in Sol Man & we have done our entire implementation thro Sol Man. Now the two projects are gone live.
Now we want to maintain "Solution Directory" merging these two projects.
Please guide me, what are all the primary inputs i have to collect from the customer in order to start this activity?
Note: I believe, based on the "Solution Directory" only our Business Process Monitoring works. Is it correct?

Possibility of Merging two Projects

Hi,
I have come across a situation where the users have entered two projects in system for one. They entered planning data for one of them only and both projects are in execution already. There are actual costs posted.
For some time, it remained un-noticed and now I am looking for a way to clear up this mess.
Is there any way that I can "merge" these projects or get the things "in line" after this?

All solutions seemed to be working fine, its just that I faced a problem with different fiscal years. The client has already closed 2009 financially and revenues have been locked. One of the two projects was initiated in 2009, any changes in material costs would also require MM periods to be open for past postings.
The business realizes the financial impacts this activity may have and decided to leave the projects in their state, considering them as two seperate projects.

Regarding merging two projects:

we are doing the project using creator . i had desiged 10 pages of that project as one web application in creator and my collegue had done some pages as sepatare web application in creator. could you please tell me the way to merge these two web application as a single web application in creator.

The hardest part is probably dealing with the fact that the two different project names have shown up in all kinds of places in the code (as package names).
So, rename one of the projects to the name of the other. Now merging should be much simpler -- simply copy the jsps, the java files, and merge the navigation.xml and managed-beans.xml files, and you should be set (provided you don't have the same page names in both, e.g. Page1.jsp -- then you'll need to pick one, or rename one. Note that a page rename involves fixing all value binding references in other files too, as well as the managed-beans.xml entry for that page.)

Merging two projects

I am working an a iMovie project. I made a trailer to that project and now want to copy the trailer into the first project. I try to copy and past but it won't let me me copy it. I have copy the clips but the added music and titles won't copy. Any ideas?
I tried to export it to iTunes or Quick time but when I import it back into the first project it shows up blury and grainy. While the original trailer is crystal clear and no problems. I played the Trailer in iTunes and it is Crystal clear and no problems. It is only when I import it back into iMovie.
Please help with any ideas?

You may wanna to try these:
1. Select project A, select all Masters and versions
2. Drag all into project B.
That's how i merge both into one project together with all it's versions and Masters.

Do you mean a book? They're based on Photos in your Library already, so, just make an album from those photos?
Do you mean Events? To merge them just drag one to the other.
Do you mean Library? If so, you'll need the pid version ($20) of iPhoto Library Manager

Merging OSB changes from two projects

Good day,
We have two (or possibly more) projects working on OSB. There are some assets that will be modified by more than one project but due to scope and timelines, this work cannot happen on one version.
Is there a recommended way to merge changes from one branch of OSB assets to another branch of OSB assets? I know that under the hood it is just XML but treating the XML files as mergable assets without a tool like the Eclipse VCS support to help guide it seems like a recipe for problems.
How do others handle this issue?

Hi Sean,
There is really no tool to guide us to merge two versions of the osb code. As you mentioned, given that osb code is represented as an xml file, you can try to do a comparison between them and merge them manually, but if the changes done in the different branches are significantly different I would refrain from doing so.
#1 The best way is to let one team take the pain of redoing their changes on top of the other team's version.
#2 One stop-gap solution is to build the logic in two different local proxies (by each team) and then have a wrapper proxy that can invoke appropriate proxy based on some logic. But if the functionality built by both the teams is similar, then the above option #1 will be the best way to maintain the code.

Merge two company codes

Hi All,
This is my first integration project. Please help me out with my query:
My company is going through a merger and we want to merge two company codes.
for e.g. company code 1 is in ABC company and company code 2 is in XYZ company. ABC is buying XYZ company. This means that company code 1 will remain and company code 2 will merge into company code 1. Currently they feed account cumulative balances from company code 2 into company code 1. But they want to stop that and move out the current balances and bring open line item data.
I want to find out some kind of strategy on how to move the current balances and bring in the open line item AR/AP data from company code 2 into company code 1.
Please help me out with this.

Check the possibility of uploading the balances of the merging company code into the existiong company code. For this you may have to to some customization like asset transfer date & have to uplaod the master data.

How do I merge two pages (within the same PDF file) into one page? For example, I have a scanned 3x5 card; the front of the card is on page one and the back of the card is on page two. How do I merge them so the front and back of the card is on the same page? Thanks!

It works well because InDesign is highly reliable for placing PDF files (you can even choose which layer):
And it uses the common PDF Export presets for the Creative Suite. I've used it very reliably to place ads saved as PDF, and including them in a program guide, then exporting the entire project as one PDF file.

What you could do is:
1. do a ontime command line merge of both repository using the nqudmlexec tool
2. In the mergerd repository created two project (sh and paint) and assign one bussiness model to each project.
3. Make this the master repository for your MUD.
4. Check the projects in and out.

Merging two separate MUSE sites into a single MENU system and Paid & online BC eCommerce site

Hi all! I am stuck trying to figure out a Process Conundrum:
1> I have a BC site with e-commerce ready to go - paid - online with store template in place.
2> I also Have a 2nd MUSE created web site (with the client content/pages) that needs to merge with that E-commerce BC site.
What is the move to merge the two separate sites into a single site with the Menus all in proper order?
Is this simple and I can not see it? (merge the two sites in a folder and reopen in muse for new menus?
Or do i need Dreamweaver to assist in the merge?
In other words:
What is the PATH/PROCESS to merge a 2nd MUSE designed web site (sans e-commerce), in order to tie into the online BC e-commerce template paid site - so the menus update together as "one" site?
Menu Update Concern: merging two separate MUSE sites into a single MENU system with the "Paid on line Active BC e-commerce Template". How do it do it Process wise so that the menus adjust automatically... so they are "one" menu.

download the BC e-commerce site into Dreamweaver -
export the 2nd muse site by publishing it to a unique folder.
combine them by going back into dream weaver and attempting to figure out linking the menus. - perhaps they are automatic there too.
or load them both up to BC and back down to MUSE to fix the menus?

   and BC Gurus.
But... if the only problem is that I need to work though my partner site BC
interface...
   - that would be fine...
   - so would using dream weaver....
I will go back and review the BC interface and also dreamweaver
capabilities.
without a budget... i need to figure it out... please do point to any
material or training you might be able to point me to.
I don't have to use muse, if that is my sticking point. I just need to get

I Am working on a project of restoring a macbook pro from old parts that I found. It works!!! But the HDD that i salvadged is ancient and gets about .15 MBPS. Not good. Its an apple certified and apple branded toshiba HDD-500G at 5400RPM. Yeah. *****
I am considering buying a new hard drive as a 480GB SSD, and using OWC's Data doubler, adding a second HDD, for all the photos and vids i will be collecting through my work in video and photo. I am considering getting an SSHD (SSD+HDD in an SSD form factor) and using this as the second drive. its not much more expensive (like 10$ more) and itgetsme semi-SSD like performance on a mass scale of storage.
HOw can I combine these two drives into ONE partition? 480GB will take awhile to fill up, but this is a future proof wall to use.
I Will eventually invest in an external storage option (2-3 HDDS in one caddy for backups and storing 1080p video all under one roof. depends if the board im using actually has thunderbolt or usb that is fast enough-because of the crappy hdd i cant get it to boot into an OS or go through usb recovery without it freezing. I ahve tried re-applying thermal paste, still doesnt help)
HOw can i easily partition these two drives into one?
also, my friend needs a new HDD because bootup times in his macbook pro are at like 2 mins+ and hes running Core 2 Duo, with 8 G ram and 10.9 (Mav) should i recommend an SSHD or an ssd. (He doesnt want an HDD, hes had bad 'voodoo' with em'. Thanks!

One Sales Organization can be assigned to only One Company Code.
One Company Code can have several Sales Organization assigned to it.
Hence, it is not possible to merge two Company Code to one Sales Organization.
