Mesage Adobe Dreamweaver CC has stopped working
I am on Windows 7. Other apps like Adobe illustrator or fireworks open fine. My Dreamweaver icon on Creative Cloud app list, had an update, which said windows 8 only.
I just ran a complet update of creative cloud app itself, no problems. Previously I had to quit creative cloud and remove app data file, as the whole cloud went down. But once I removed I think the opd.db file, from OOBE directory
the cloud came up and I immediately ran the update for CC which functioned just fine.
I have tons done in dreamweaver,and I am hoping I can do something to get it going again without sufferring loss. When I entered the message I got , I didnt get much discussion, and it wasnt aboujt this message at all.
If someone could point me to site or discussion I would appreciate it.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 has stopped working
Hello - I am attempting to download and install a trial version of Dreamweaver 6 on my PC running Win7 Pro 32 bit service pack 1 with 4GB RAM and an E6300 processor. I have managed to download and extract the application but once I attempt to launch the program, I get a Dreamweaver panel that says it is installing files, then after a few minutes I receive the error message below and the installation window goes blank.
I have attempted the installation 3 different times using ADA and the direct download methods described in the FAQ's but in every instance, I have been met with this same error. I have disabled my firewall and antivirus but I still get this error. Between installation attempts, I have removed DW6 via the remove programs function in the control panel and restarted my PC. I seem to be able to download the application fine but every time I attempt to run it, I get this error. Any words of wisdom. Thank you.Hey Mylenium I have an update for you. I got the application to start, here is what I did. Thinking the problem might be permissions related, I went to the application directory, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, and gave full control to all users and cleared the "read only" for the application directory and all files in the subordinate file structure. Then using Windows Explorer, I navigated to a CSS file that I was working on with a text editor. I right clicked the CSS file and selected "Edit with Dreamweaver 6". To my surprise the file opened in Dreamweaver. Since then, I have used DW to create an HTML website with external JavaScript and CSS files. Dreamweaver now opens when I double click the application icon.
Even though I got it to work, I captured a related event from event viewer and the installation log for referrence and the benefit of others.

Using Dreamweaver CS6, get 'Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 has stopped working'
This happened in CS5 as well. We have a large site (57800 files total). When we run Link Checker, we get 47841 Orpahned files. When I right click and attempt to save the file, I get a message box with the error listed above.
When I click on debug, I get 'An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Dreamweaver.exe [6244].
This is a Windows 7, 32-bit with 4 GB RAM machine.Sounds like a bug. The bug report form is at http://adobe.ly/DWBug.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 has shopped working
In the past two days I have been getting the following error
message when I try to make changes to an open page in Dreamweaver
CS3:
"Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is
available".
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. I have not installed any
new programs recently, so I'm thinking that either a recent Windows
Update or and Adobe Update may be causing this new problem. Is this
a known issue? Does anyone know of a solution to this

Dreamweaver CS6 "has stopped working" when closing
Hey, I recently upgraded to Windows 8 x64 and have had an annoying issue with Adobe Products. When I was using 7 x64 I never had any issues really, loved that OS.

Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working -again
After many months of pain caused by Bridge CC not working it seemed to be cleared up in Sept '14. (I used just about every fix that was suggested incl. preferences changed to have no program load on startup, managing cache, etc.) I has been working flawlessly until today. My pc notified re: windows updates were ready to install. I cleaned my pc, closed all programs and installed 23 updates. (Win7, 64bit) Updates seemed to install cleanly but Bridge CC will not open and displays a white screen and the msg "Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working" This began immediately after the os updates were installed so I suspected that was the issue. I restored the pc to before the updates and CC will still not open (stopped) and in desperation I tried Bridge CS6. CS6 opened normally and I was able to open a folder. Touching the space bar should have opened the selected file to full screen image but instead I got the same error msg now saying Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working. I have the same programs on my laptop and CC opens and works properly. So that sounds like my pc and not Bridge is the problem but there is an incompatibility somewhere and I am stuck and my work is piling up as I speak. I need my bridge back!
This problem has been solved by Microsoft, rebuilt Win7. I would like to delete my question to reduce clutter here but I don't know how to delete it. A moderator may delete this if they wish or someone can add to my reply and instruct me. Thanks!

Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working - has issue been resolved?

I am experiencing the above problem with a new install of CS6.
Has this issue been resolved?
CS6 Design and Web Premium installed on Win 7 pro 64 bit Dell Precision laptop. Error with Adobe Bridge cs6: "Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working", problem event name "APPCRASH". Error occurs when opening Bridge from Photoshop and other apps (Browse in Bridge) and directly from desktop or start menu. Also a cache directory is not being created under c:\user\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\bridge\. Holding ctrl key down and double clicking icon gets same message, cannot get at reset window.
Performed the following with no change: verified Bridge and full suite is on latest version (Bridge=5.0.2.4); created desktop icon directly from bridge.exe; verified application was installed and is starting with administrator privileges; verified latest display driver installed; performed complete uninstall of CS6, CC cleaner tool run, then full reinstall; Error under Event Viewer: faulting application: Bridge.exe and faulting module name: ntdll.dll; disabled UAC; tested memory for damage using MemTest86-good.

There appears to be a number of possible causes for this type of error. In my case it was somewhat specific. I had a stand alone copy on this same machine previously of Adobe Photoshop CS2 (only) which was completely uninstalled prior to the installation of CS6. There is an issue with Bridge CS6 being installed on a machine that has Bridge CS2 on it. I wasn't aware of Bridge being present with my copy of Photoshop CS2 but apparently there were at least some components of Bridge CS2 left after the uninstall. The workaround that solved the issue for me was the creation of an empty folder:
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS2

Hey guys and girls. I recently got a new computer running Windows 7 64bit. I still have good ol photoshop cs4 and wanted to use it on this new computer. The install process was completed and as I started the program, I get the "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working" box. I've looked through some forums, and a lot of them mention the wacom tablet issue, which is not the issue since I've yet to install the drivers for my tablet. Has anyone come across this problem at all? This is what shows up when I get that error box.

Please help, thanks in advanceThe first thing that I would do is insure that you have the latest video driver installed (but do keep any older ones, just in case you must roll-back - newest is not always the best).
If that does not help, then open Even Viewer, and check for all warning, or error messages in System and Application tabs, for the time that PS crashed. If you find any with links, follow those links - be patient, as some might take a few moments to send data to MS, and then for MS to process it, to open the proper page for that link plus the data gathered. This ARTICLE goes into a bit more detail, and I do not think that it is too Adobe Premiere-centric.

Keep Getting Adobe RoboHelp 9 has stopped working Message
I am running on Windows 7 Professional, SP1, 4GB RAM, 64-bit OS, with Administrative privileges using Adobe RoboHelp version 9.0.1.232. I am creating projects on my C drive and linking them to Word 2010 docx files that are on the network then generating them as AIR files for testing purposes at this point. Each linked document is a technical manual (with a TOC and index) having anywhere between 100 and 1000 pages. The plan is to create a project for each of the 20 manuals then link them together and generate a Master Project as an AIR file to distribute to our customers. The manuals contain flowcharts, bullets, numbered lists, images, tables, hyperlinks, etc with approximately 100 custom styles defined in one Normal.dotm file. Only defined styles are used in each of the manuals and all manuals use the same Normal.dotm file. Each custom style is linked to a corresponding style in a custom RoboHelp css file used by all RH projects.
I have a default project that is used to create each separate project which includes a linked docx file that contains each of the custom styles so I do not have to link each Word style to the corresponding RH style every time I create a project for a different manual. My process is this: create project, link docx file, change Properties to create new TOC, Index, Glossary, Generate the linked document, Update linked document (when applicable), generate the AIR file, then update the Word document (in Word) as necessary. I then Update the linked document in RH and generate the AIR file again....and keep doing that until it looks good. So far, I have successfully created projects for 11 manuals with projects ranging in size from 20 to 50 MB. So I know the problem is not my styles, etc.
My problem is this....I will sometimes get the message 'Adobe RoboHelp 9 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available'. Sometimes, I will get the message when the manual has been updated in Word and I select Update in RoboHelp while other times it occurs when I am first getting the project set up. Right now, I am getting this message when I select Generate for the linked manual. I checked my application log file and see that I am getting an EventID 1000, Task Category 100 error. The manual is 477 pages/7.6 MB and the RoboHelp project is 42 MB and has only two really small flowcharts. I have successfully created a project for this manual a couple times before after updating the Word document for things I saw in the AIR file, but when I selected Update in RH, I would get the message and the project was then corrupt so I had to start over. I know it is not an installation problem because I can then open another project and it works fine.
Things I have tried without success: copied the linked manual to my C drive to remove the network aspect. Closed all other applications so only the Word document and RoboHelp are open. My experience has been that in most cases, RoboHelp is happier when I have the manual I am working with open in Word but have also tried it without Word running. I have tried creating the project on the root of C instead of in my folder. Tried it when no one else was on the network (5 am). In one case, I pulled out a chapter that was about 50 pages of flowcharts - which fixed that one. All our flowcharts are inserted into borderless tables as metafiles so they are not free-floating.
Any help anyone could give me as to why this is happening or what I can do differently so as to prevent this from happening would be greatly appreciated.

KathiMy inclination is that it is something in the projects or in the manuals being linked that is the culprit because that is where the consistency lies - projects were created identically and manuals all follow identical formats. The problem typically only occurs after the project has been successfully created and the manual is subsequently updated and I am syncing the manual in RH so I can generate a new AIR file. This is the first time the project has consistently corrupted every time I try to generate the Word document after linking it in RH. This makes little sense to me since it generated fine a couple weeks ago and I did nothing special when I updated it in Word yet when I tried to update it in RH, that is when it originally corrupted. The bottom line is that I cannot 100% trust that any project I run will work the next time. I end up just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
My problems seemed to start once I went to RH9 (from RH8) because we had upgraded from MS Office 2003 to the 2010 version and I needed 9 for the docx extension. Like I said, it is not all the time - I can be beating my head against the wall getting one of the projects to work, then create 3 more projects that have no problems and then the next one leaves me wanting to throw my PC through a window....
Deleting the CPD does not corrupt the project, it just removes my default linked document that allows me to circumvent linking the styles individually for that project. Once I have a manual linked and I remove the CPD, it just creates a new one. What I am saying is that if I delete the CPD file, it does not prevent the project from corrupting nor does it make the corrupted project viable again.

I've copied an existing project and applied a new stylesheet. This has involved multiple "find and replace" actions in order to change old styles to my new styles. All was going well - everything looked fine and the project compiled without a problem. However, after further changes the compile has stopped working. As I start compiling the following message appears as the process starts updating files "Adobe RoboHelp 9 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I've tried deleting the CPD file, but it doesn't make any difference. I've also tried removing the last topics I've worked on, but again it's just the same.
Does anyone have any ideas? I've spent over a day re-styling the project and don't want to lose what I've done.
ThanksFind and replace for style names done correctly should not cause this. If you searched for something like <p class="me"> and replaced it with <p class="you"> and that class was not quite what was in the CSS, RoboHelp would display your topics with the style name showing in block capitals rather than crash.
My first thought was that something else had been changed unintentionally and was causing this. Then I noted you said it had compiled the first time after you had made the changes. At the moment I am a bit stumped on what it could be.
The first thing I would try is to generate some other form of help, try Microsoft HTML Help (CHM). If that too fails, then you might have to go for working on a backup as below. However, if it works, I would then create a new webhelp layout by right clicking in the SSL and selecting Create New, not the Duplicate option. If that fails then you may have to work on a backup of the project before you did the find and replace, you did make one didn't you?
Ttake a fresh copy of the backup so that you retain an untouched copy. Then copy your new CSS from the broken project into a working copy of the backup using Windows Explorer. Manually apply a few of the styles to a few topics and then test compiling. If that works, then do the find and replace work again testing after each style has been changed. After each successful pass, create a backup in case it goes wrong at the next stage. Before you start any find and replace, post back what you are using for that.

I recently purchased a new desktop computer and installed Adobe CS3 Master Edition on it and I get the following error:

Out of the entire suite of tools only Photoshop will not launch. The weird thing is i also had the same Adobe programs installed on my laptop and I have not made any installation updates to that machine and i am getting the same error. I have always installed the same software on my two home machines with no problem until now. Any help is appreciated.
