Mess up down load
I tried down loading mad men "Tea Leaves" but it won't down load keeps coming up err (-50)
I have the same problem. About a year ago I threw out all my driver cd's because they were really piling up and i figured i'd never need them because I've been able to download all the driver's i've ever needed from company websites.
NOT SO with Creative.
I have the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum (the one with the ports for the front of the computer). I recently had to reinstall my OS. I got the soundcard to work, but all the optional components I had before (like the ability to use the remote control to control sound, and the EAX console etc) are gone. I tried to download these components from the website (it's really hard to tell which is which, so i downloaded them all). They will NOT install! I keep getting the error message "Setup did not detect required components, Setup will exit" on all the download software.
This is extremely frustrating because I'm unable to setup the speakers properly (windows speaker settings don't really work).
I did manage to do the automatic update thing, but it only updates the core drivers.
PLEASE HELP!
I paid $200 bucks for this card (granted, that was a couple years ago), so I should be able to at least download the same software that came with the product!
Please have a professional (not an engineer without user interface experience) design the download area too...it is extremely difficult to understand what the individual components really do! At the very least, when you download them...they should work!

In front of the "if" there is a gray circle with and "!" in the center. When I click on the song to play I get this message.The song could not be used because the original file could not be found.iTunes can not find the music that was down loaded form the iTunes store. Why? Where is it locateded? They are there and play for a short while then they disappear. Why? What is happening to the songs that I have down loaded????? I had this exact issue. However, I was not even able to "see" the pending downloads when I tried fixing them using the solution above.
In another thread, I saw that someone mentioned an issue with the use of the "&" (ampersand) symbol in your appleID information. I had recently changed my name and it did include the & symbol in my name (not the appleID itself). I replaced the ampersand with the word "and" and saved. I then went to the iTunes store and logged into my account there and made the same change on my billing name.
Voila! I could now access the 7 pending downloads on my desktop Mac and download them, and all iPhone/iPad/Ipods were again able to download from the app store.
incidentally, I had several support tickets open on this issue and never once did the Apple person even suggest that this might be the issue. -

I do use Firefox and I went to add/remove to see which version and could not find the Adobe 10.1.82.76 it said I had??? Then I just went back and it is there. I was told I HAD to update the Adobe because of a security issue, but when I went to add it, it said warning the program I was about to add might be dangerous????? So I have it on the down load thing, I have not told it to run, but it shows up in my add/remove folder and I am SO confused??? Do I need to run it? I went to the adobe site and found it when I could not find the "edit" button. I am not sure if I have the right version. It said certain versions would not run with Firefox and I do not want to mess up my computer.

Where do my photo files down load to when iPhoto imports them
It goes into a Originals or Masters folder inside the iPhoto Library "package" which is really a folder designed not to look like one so people don't open it up and mess with it's insides.
Normally you can manage your photo's in iPhoto and export copies from there, but in emergency or bulk copy cases you might have to access the iPhoto Library directly and copy from there instead.
To open this iPhoto Library "package", right or control click on it and "Show package contents"
Be sure to only duplicate and move original files out and don't mess around there as it will them mess up your iPhoto Library. -
I'm trying to get my itunes to go back to english but is coming up Russian on windows 7. I initally installed English version and about 6 months ago it came back Russian. It was English for over 2 yrs. I have use all the suggestion including unistall and reenstall of a new down load from apple.
I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!" -

How do I recover and upgradeI have seen a number of conversations where you need to uninstall iTunes and various other pieces of software and re-install ... if Apple is such a great company, why don't they just fix their update process so we users don't have to mess around with this ... :-(

Down load error (err = -100008)
Hi all, Still trying to down load "The Prestige" Like I said before, the whole file downloads and goes into processing mode, stays there a few seconds and then starts to download the file again. The error message that I get is ( There was an error down loading The Prestige. The files seems to be corrupted. err = -100008)
Any ideas? I have been trying to download this file for over a week, maybe 10 or 15 times.... always the same thingTry the Reader forum. I would suggest you try again. Sometimes downloads mess up due to the connection and a retry does not take much time (at least with a high-speed connection).

I have tried to down load firefox and during the down load iot tells me it starts at 1 minute remaining and it climbs fro this to 3 hours and I cancel the down load. How long does the down load take and how do I know it is down loading?
WOO-HOOOOOO! I got it all back!! Yayyyyy! (jumping up and down). You see, this is a picture file I've been working on for almost 15 years.
OK. Here's the skinny... I finally got an appointment with the Apple Store to discuss with a technician. He went through the same steps I did (C-Opt-iPhoto) and then trying to repair, then rebuild the folder. He tried several other options, which I had also tried, thank you to the Community Discussion boards! He kept puzzling over the icon in front of my " iPhoto Library.photolibrary ". It had a blank document in front of it, instead of the iPhoto icon. Even though I could pull up every one of my pictures via Preview, I just could not get them to upload or open in iPhoto.
He suggested I go back yet another day from the incident-day which messed up my library. Skeptically, I did... (which I'd done quite a few times before). EXCEPT. This time, as I looked at my December 3, 2012 Pictures folder, there were some other files in it. I had only been hi-lighting the iPhoto Library and trying to Restore. You don't suppose...? I hi-lighted everything in the Pictures folder, pressed Restore... and it started to transfer. I waited perhaps 45 minutes. (I had a 73GB file.) But it restored everything - even the Events.
Crux: If iPhoto doesn't seem to be able to Restore your iPhoto Library, choose ALL the files in your backed-up Pictures folder (not just the iPhoto Library). The technician's clue to me was he didn't think some needed sub-folders got transferred. He was right. The visual indication was, when I opened Finder, the icon in front of it was a blank document. It needs to have the iPhoto icon or some needed sub-folder didn't get transferred.

You can add a table that provide a list of items (that are in the pop up menu) and a corresponding value (shown on the right):
In the table on the left you can refer to the table "Price List" to locate the item in column A, then retrieve the corresponding value from column B.

this is shorthand for... select cell B1, then type (or copy and paste from here) the formula:

I wish to request that a comedy, Dutch Treat or/and its companion Detective School Dropouts released in 1987 be included in the iTunes US store for me to down load. i will pay any thing to download them.

Adobe bridge and CS3 I have down loaded trial version...
two problems--when i down load my pics- jpeg&raw- from EOS5D camera into adobe CS3 bridge i only get jpeg images not raw--my zoom browser does it!

The "Save Object" is for making Smart Objects and from the sounds of it, you are unfamliar with the concept? You need to double-click the Workflow options in Camera Raw and uncheck the Smart Objects options...then images will open as images not Smart Objects. -

Why am I suddenly unable to see pdf (on iMac) when I click on them ?There is is just a mid grey blank screen .I have sent pdf to my Blackb and I can read it there ,so the file is OK .I recently tried to down load a recent version of Adobe reader from a government site -could this be the cause?If so ,how do I uninstall it ?

I've seen an unconfirmed report that the "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you might need to remove it as well, if applicable.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.
