Message:  Account Expired:  Renew Subscription to continue service"

What is the message "account expired:  renew subscription now to resume service" referring to?  There is an icon of a red stop sign with an exclamation in the middle.  What is this?  There is no way to close it and I don't want to click on it without knowing what it is.  Anybody else have this?
Thanks

That's some third-party software you installed, possible a web-browser extension. If Safari is running, do as below. If you use another browser, do the equivalent.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

  • "Account expired Renew subscription now to resume service." on my Mac with no source of ID. What is it and where does it originate?

I keep getting this on my Mac with no source of ID. It keeps reappearing with no options other than "Renew Subscription". What is it and where does it originate?

You have an account that has expired, but only you know what accounts you have.
    Check them.

  • I get a repeated dialogue box saying that "Account expired, Renew prescription now to resume service," but nothing as to where this is coming from!

Every few days I get a small dialogue box saying "Account expired...Renew subscription now to resume service" and there is a Renew Subscription button. There is NOTHING noting what the account is or even the 3 buttons at the top left (Delete, Minimize or Expand). They come up and collect every 3 or 4 days and I have to move them off to the side. The only way to make them disappear altogether is to restart the computer.

    Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''

  • How do I get rid of a box that pops up saying Account expired?

There is a pop up box that comes up on my desktop that has a red stop sign shape with a white exclamation point. It says in bold at top "Account expired" and below that "Renew subscription now to resume service". The only option is to click a button at the bottom that says "Renew Subscription", there is no button to close or minimize it. When I do click it, it goes away, but comes back again. Nothing apparently opens or happens after clicking it. If I ignore it, it multiplies and I get a whole cluster of them on my screen. I've tried restarting the computer, emptying the trash, etc. It pops up as soon as I restart it or wake it up from being asleep. My computer is a desktop running version 10.9.5 OS X.
I've tried searching the internet for a similar problem and didn't find much. Any help or insight at this point would be so helpful.
    Thank you!

I think I've isolated it to the Cisco webex plugin. Have you done an online conference recently? In the finder go to ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and thenfind the webex plugin. Remove it and restart safari. In chrome go to chrome://plugins and disable the plugin.

  • Renew subscription message

I'm having the same problem as a lot of other users on this forum with the renew subscription message. After updating my expired card on my account I get the renew subscription message even though it says my account is active on my account page. The "answers" to these threads aren't really answers. Staff are just saying this hsouldn't be happening and that they will reach out to them via email. Doesn't help the rest of us with the same problem!!!

    Hi Jellym15,
    Did the issue resolve itself?
I have a few questions to better understand what happened if you can help.
    - How long were you unable to use the service after updating the credit card (1-2 days, something like that)?
    - Did you get any notification you would temporarily not be able to use the service after changing your credit card info?
    - Did you change your credit card info near or around the time you are typically billed?
I appreciate any info you can provide,
    Thanks,
    -Dave

  • Your subscription has now expired - renew today

There appears to be no problem with my automatically renewing subscription, yet I got this message today, and another warning yesterday.  Is this just a false alarm, or is there a problem billing my payment method or some such issue?

  • Email message continuity service

Hi, I am looking for an email message continuity service to use if our facility losses power or internet service. I have found postini, but it does not work with syncronization to a mac mail server. I have also looked into symanteccloud (www.symanteccloud.com). The salesperson sales it will work but only if mac os x server handles journaling. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have any other suggestions?
    Thanks

  • Can't find "account settings" in order to cancel a auto-renewal subscription.

I want to cancel an auto-renewal subscription.  The email notice says I need to do this through the "account settings" in iTunes.  I have been on iTunes for over an hour and can't find an "account settings" link that gets me to where I need to be to cancel just this subscription.  I know this is stupidly easy but sincerely...where is account settings...

If you are being billed through iTunes then you should be able to cancel it by logging into your account e.g. by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store if using an iOS device, or the Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes : iTunes Store: Purchasing and managing auto-renewing subscriptions

  • "Visit your account to renew your subscription"

    Hi!
I have an alert triangle next to my balance, that on mouse-over says "Visit your account to renew your subscription". I clicked it, went to my account, but it doesn't go away.
What does it mean? Am I going to lose my Skype credit?
I only use Skype credit for international calls and I don't do so very frequently (my last call was in May), but I don't want to lose my credit nor my premium subscription.

    Hi,
I just got the same notification that you referred to.  I went to www.skype.com and logged in, and made some trivial updates to my profile, just to let Skype know that I was still active.  After saving my updated profile and exiting the website, the warning triangle was still there, but after closing and reopening the Skype app, the warning triangle was gone.  Another thing I did that might have fixed this was to make a short Skype call using my SkypeOut credit, again, just to let Skype know that I was still an active user.
    Hope this helps,
    Ken

  • I keep getting an message stating Renew Subscription there is no reference to any application.

I keep getting an error message stating Renew Subscription. I cannot see what application this applies to and the red button to close the pop up is grey. I suspect this is not goo dbut how do I clear this? I have to reboot to make it go away at the moment.

Do you have any subscriptions, if so, review them.   It sounds suspicious and may be a scam.   Delete it and see if it reappears with a different time stamp.
