Message audio only works for some contacts...

i have an iPhone 5S. I'm updated to 8.0.2 When I try to do an audio message in iMessages it works for most people. However my brother who has an IPhone 4s I cannot send him an audio message or audio text. There simply is NO microphone to even attempt a audio message. I have 1 other person in my contacts where it's the same. Also I have a friend who has an iPhone 5C and he is having the same problem. Some contacts he can do an audio message some he cannot...
what at the heck is wrong???

So I'm just stuck with this feature only working on most of my contacts??

I just purchased the new apple 3rd generation. During set-up, I downloaded the latest up-date. I have the same trouble... 'Audio only works for Netflix'. Any fixes?

Premiere Pro Does Not Support Audio-Only Capture For Some Formats, Such As HDV?

In the PPro CS 5.5 Help file under, "Recording audio", it says:
"Note: To capture an audio-only file from a digital video source, choose Audio from the Capture menu in the Logging pane of the Capture panel.
"Premiere Pro does not support audio-only capture for some formats, such as HDV."
I'm shooting in HDV and if I want to capture audio only, would I just need to switch my setting to DV?
The only thing is my Canon HV20's HDV audio is MPEG-1 Audio Layer 2, 16 bit, 48 kHz.
My DV setting is PCM audio, which I think is a better quality format, right?
Would there be any noticeable difference?

Capture your HDV material in the normal way and just drag audio only from the source monitor to the timeline.

Why does iMessage only work for some of my contacts?

Having problems with iMessage. It will work for some of my contacts but not others. And those people arre having the same problem, works with other people but not me.. Anyone dealt with this?

1. Both devices have to be running iOS 5.*
2. Internet latency can delay iMessage connection. If you enabled "Send as SMS", the phone will switch to SMS if iMessage doesn't connect quickly. If you disable Send as SMS, more of your messages will go through as iMessage.

Safari auto fill only works for some sites on my new iMac

Hi, Safari autofill only works for a few websites on my new iMac. Apple Care tried to change some settings which did not help. Autofill is checked in preference and we worked on Keychain access.

The get messages function only works for the first account

regardless of which account is listed in any order, the get messages button only gets messages for the first account in the list, thus if you are expecting one into another account you have to highlight that account and click the get messages....

Perhaps your talking of add-ons. If you found an add-on perhaps you could mention what it is, so that I and other might know it exists.
You appear to be under some misconceptions,

If I as a fellow user an ignorant of an add-on then tough luck for those I advise. They should have been resourceful enough to search for add-ons before they asked the question. I can only tell people what I know.

Basic authentication only works for some webservices?

I'm trying to call the SAP BI/BO REStful webservices using basic authentication. I enabled basic authentication in the WACS and tested with this service:

This works! I can get the report metadata as either xml or json. However, whenever I try an url with "raylight" in it, I get an authentication problem:

Why do some services work with basic authentication and others absolutely require the logontoken? I would like to avoid the logontoken if possible. I tested by logging on with the token and that does work, so it's not like my credentials are wrong.
I also found the a problem with the raylight logontoken described here: RESTful Raylight Error Incorrect session
Apparently, there needs to be double quotes around the logontoken for it to work. Could this "bug" be the reason why basic authentication doesn't work? I already tfried to put double quotes around and inside my base-encoded value but it still gives the same error.

Raylight doesn't support basic authentication because it required a permanent session to work. Internally, we have to manage a "cache" to support subsequent REST calls and this is not possible using basic authentication.

Audio only working for one user at a time - flash is the cause

but what is the solution?

If one user is listening to something via some kind of web (flash) media player, and the other user logs on, then this 'new' user is unable to listen to anything at all - all audio is blocked - not just web stuff
I know flash is the cause as I can go to task manager and kill the other person's flash plug in and the sound comes on instantly
I've tried reinstalling but no joy

Everytime I want to use skype or itunes or iplayer, I have to log in as the other user, close down all their web browsers, then go back to my account to get it to work, much to the annoyance of the other user.

Restored Iphone as an Ipod, Facetime only works for 1 contact

Following the links provided here, I restored my old 4s through Itunes connection on computer. Everything is reset. Imessage and Facetime says waiting for activation. But I am able to facetime with one contact?? I have followed many steps listed through the forums.
I have restored the phone 3 times.
I set up a new icloud/Apple id account seperate from mine.
There is no phone number listed.
Everything is up to date
If it needs activation, why would one contact work?
How do I get other contacts to work?

iTunes will recognize each device as unique. It will continue to see the old iPhone as an iPhone but that's fine. You can sync multiple iPhones or iPods or iPads (or any combination of the above) to one iTunes Library.

Screen sharing only works for some computers

I have 3 computers on the same network. For this thread I will refer to them as C1, C2 & C3. All computers show in the sidebar as shared and I can look at all the files within these computers.
C1 and C2 can see C3 with screen sharing but no other combination works. exp. C1 can't see C2, C3 can't see C1 or C2.
All computers are set the same and all worked a week or so ago. Pref. Sharing has share files and share screens checked. They all require an administrator to access. They all have Firewall ON and Stealth and signed software are checked.
Can anyone give me some idea what might be going on here.

Do you mean that sometimes you can connect and sometimes you can't or that after connecting sometimes it stops working?
I haven't had any problems accessing my G5 running Leopard Server either from my MacPro or my Macbook over the internet which is much slower than a gigabit ethernet network. The G5 connects over a 24Mb cable connection and the other computers access the net using a DSL line (16Mb, but I have also done it over an 8Mb DSL line).

Push Notification only works for some Apps?

I just upgraded to a new iPhone 3GS from the official german carrier (t-mobile). The device is not jailbroken or unlocked.
With some applications push notification works (iFun, Trivial Pursuit, Ping, Facebook, IM+), with some not (N-TV news, Focus news, ebay). I already tried deinstallation with data removal of the apps and reinstallation.
Is there some way to reset the push notification feature, or reset the device token?

Copy and Paste: Only works for some phrases

Since the update to IOS8, I've been experiencing problems with the copy and paste function with certain pieces of text. Some will appear to copy fine but often won't paste and I will instead get an older item from my 'clip board' rather than the one I just recently copied.
This doesn't apply to in-app buttons, like YouTube's copy link feature under the share icon; these links copy and paste fine.
I'm using the Swift Keyboard and I believe this contributes to the problem in some way. Any thoughts?

Ugg I totally knew you would all say that (because I already knew that would offer me the easiest solution), change hosts and now I'm embarrassed to say that YES I am paying for the hosting; BUT, I have to explain that I'm with this hosting company because way back when I started that site I needed something super user friendly because I was just learning. Now I have learned more and have started to use Dreamweaver. I just stayed with the same hosting and will use FTP to upload my new more updated site. In the company's defense even though they do offer a way to FTP a site up, their main objective (I think) is to have a really easy way for people to get a site up without knowing anything about code or css or anything; and they operate under the assumption that MOST of their customers will be using their super easy software and not use FTP. That is why I think they are limited to what they offer, at least that is my take on it. My more recent sites do not use this company as I have tried to learn and 'move up'.
Anyway I guess if I don't want to switch hosting I still have the same problem. Is it really that difficult to make something that has just one use ID and password which would be the same thing for every person? Might be a great learning experience for me?

Multi Master Replication - Only works for some tables?

I have a multi master replication between a 9i and an 816 database.
All the tables are in the same tablespace and have the same owner. The replication user has full privs on all the tables.
When setting up the replication some tables create properly, but others fail with a "table not found" error.
Ideas anyone ?

I try the same thing but with two 9i enterprise version databases, free downloaded from www.oracle.com.

I just got an iPhone 4s and facetime doesn't work for certain contacts? why?

I know that facetime only works for those contacts that have an iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc....however it doesn't work for some of my contacts that do have those devices....why?

Airplay only works for Netflix

I'm using an iPad Air running iso 8.1.2. I can watch Netflix using airplay but can't show anything else. Apple online support indicates I need to turn on mirroring, but I can't find the switch, their example shows mirroring in iso 7 on a phone and doesn't help. My objective is to show a Numbers spreadsheet using airplay during a meeting. Can you help?
